My bestie had been wanting to try George & Gather since they opened. We noticed them on the Restaurant week list & decided it was finally time to make it happen. We made a reservation for 5:00pm- be forewarned that the parking is pretty limited. We had to end up paying to park because all the free parking was already taken up. No biggie though! Once we checked in, we waited about 10 minutes to be seated. Literally all the seats were taken up, the place was poppin' ! There is only a small bench that comfortably seats 2 for waiting & if you're not on the bench, there's not really a great place to stand and wait without feeling like you're in the way. The ambiance was amazing. Very tasteful decor throughout. They had booths, tables, outdoor seating, and the bar was an indoor/outdoor concept which was really neat! For those dining outside, they had a really nice misting/fan setup to keep you comfortable on warmer days. The bathrooms were clean. I will say that the toilet paper holders could be upgraded a little... I accidentally lost my roll, as it slid off the holder and rolled into the stall next door... Yikes. Very embarrassing. At the sink, they had a sample of sugar scrub to try out when washing your hands, which was amazing!! It smelled so good & made my hands feel so smooth and hydrated. Once we were seated, our waitress was Haley. She was so sweet & attentive throughout the evening. Considering how busy the place was, her service was outstanding! She was always smiling and very knowledgeable about the menu. I ordered the Agave mocktail, which was incredible!! So refreshing, and had a fresh flower garnish on top. I got the dry rub wings with a side of ranch & buffalo for dipping. The wings were soooo fresh, and cooked to absolute perfection. They had the right amount of crunch, sooo much flavor, and the meat fell right off the bone. Arguably the best chicken wings I've ever tried. Then there was a side of celery & carrot sticks. Yum!!! The main entree was hard to choose, so many amazing options. Haley highly suggested a pizza, she said that's what they are famous for. The 130 year old sourdough starter makes their pizzas the star of the show. I went with the Pesto Chicken pizza. Oh my goodness, it came out piping hot, fresh and full of flavor! The crush was amazing! However, past the crust, the rest of the pizza was very floppy. I could not eat it without laying it down and cutting with a knife. I would have preferred it to be a bit more crisp at the bottom so it could hold up for a bite rather than cutting. I took some of the pizza home & heated it in the oven later, after reheating, it was able to crisp up a bit more, which was nice! Then dessert.... Oh my... I was so torn between the key lime pie & apricot cheesecake... Haley helped me make a decision. &Again.... She was on-point! I went with the apricot cheesecake. I already suspected that it would be incredible, after everything else we had experienced, but I never would have imagined it being as delicious as it turned out being. My expectations were exceeded by a mile! I was speechless! The cheesecake was so light and creamy.... Absolutely perfect! The vanilla bean cream on top was the perfect amount to complement the dish. &Don't even get me started on the crust... I don't know what they put in, if it's toffee or caramel, but .... My goodness. This was not your average graham cracker crust, this was a magical experience full of flavor that set the standard for any cheesecake I have moving forward. After this experience, I completely understood why the place was packed & there was a line out the door of people waiting to get a seat. Haley went over the top for us, she made sure we were comfortable & had everything we needed all evening. I've never had such great service in a restaurant as busy as it was last night. It's hard to find an attentive server in a place that's barely full these days. First off- I absolutely recommend George & Gather for a nice meal out. I made a reservation ahead of time for myself and my date. We arrived and checked in, and only needed to wait a few minutes for our table. I will say they have little to no waiting area. We had an amazing waitress- very friendly, accommodating, and attentive. She made great conversation, and definitely helped create a memorable and wonderful experience for us both. We both got mocktails and enjoyed them- mine was the blood orange one. Everything that arrived on our table had beautiful presentation. I ordered the Caesar salad- perfect crunch, flavor. My companion ordered the chicken wings and enjoyed them. My only critique, which is why I did not give 5 stars was my main course. I ordered the Faroe island salmon. The salmon itself, was cooked and seasoned to absolute perfection. I cannot recall having a better cooked salmon in years. However, for some reason they choose to plate the salmon on top of the (also cooked wonderfully) golden potatoes, which are on top of a pool of horseradish cream. The cream is good. However anyone who has tasted horseradish knows it's a very strong flavor. It overpowers the dish, and instead of the salmon being the highlight, you end up with every bite smothered in this horseradish sauce. Unlike going to a fast food restaurant where you have to smother your food in a sauce to enjoy it- I really would prefer to enjoy the main course and have that be center stage. Having the cream on the side or even drizzled would be preferable. I would never order the dish again as they serve it. For dessert, I ordered the affogato and enjoyed it. I did taste my companions apricot cheesecake- that was so delectable. Would order that in a heartbeat. The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance, the bathrooms are clean. 9.5.26 - Been a minute since I last ate here. I suggested this place for brunch and it did not disappoint! We arrived a little before 12:30 on a Saturday and the place was packed! Luckily, we were able to snag a table. Order: Banana Dirty Chai w/ Oat Milk Tropical Green Tea Whipped Goat Cheese Spread Breakfast Burritos Carrot Cake Pancakes The Banana Dirty Chai was delicious but I still think it's crazy that places still charge extra for milk alternatives. Not everyone can drink regular cow's milk. I had the whipped goat cheese dish before and remember loving it so suggested we get that. We were at the opening of George and Gather and had a fun time despite a few opening day things one would expect. It was time to return and this is restaurant week in Arizona. What a leap the time has afforded. The service was impeccable thanks to Sklya, our phenomenal and attentive waitress. She noticed my wife was not comfortable putting silverware directly on the table so she quickly collected it after the initial course and said, "I will bring a fresh setting with your next plate." She carefully placed them on the new plate when it came. Things like that take service to another level. She was also amazing at making sure my wife's allergies would not interfere with our experience. I would list them but it would be quicker to wait for the movie to come out. Restaurant week is a prix fixe menu of 3 courses. The first was the appetizer. My wife had the Whipped Goat Cheese spread which is Laura Chenel Goat Cheese, Local Raw Honey, Organic Raspberries, Pecans, Balsamic Date Purée & Toasted Local Barrio Sourdough Bread. Barrio Bread is a local James Beard winner so AMAZING. I had the Wagyu Meatballs that were also fantastic and so big, I took one home. We both came for the burger - Two Grassfed Beef Patties, Sharp Cheddar, G&G's Special Sauce, House-Made Pickles, Shredded Lettuce, Noble Brioche Bun, Served with French Fries. They appeared to be 2 quarter pounders both with cheese served on another local artisan baker, Noble Bread. They were enormous enough that we decided to return soon and split it with the Goat Cheese spread. Finally, we finished with their on premise made Apricot Cheesecake. It is very light. This is not a NY Style dense Cheesecake but still, one of the best I have ever had. The texture was so light with a crunchy bottom crust, whipped cream and a sublime Apricot topping. Okay, so I have two start with my two very favorite things about our visit to George and Gather. One, THE ORANGE SCONE. I truly thought I had tasted the best orange scone in my life until this one blew that one out of the water. The texture is so moist yet dense. It doesn't fall apart and the icing to pastry ratio is perfect. Two, the attention to detail in customer comfort/ way to market some product y'all. *clap clap clap* In the women's restroom, there is there market lemon sugar scrub for washing your hands AND a whipped beef tallow hand moisturizer............... say less, right? The bathroom and entire establishment if very modern and sophisticated while maintaining a comfortable casual atmosphere. The service was wonderful, very attentive. I do wish I could remember the name of our server, but she really was great. And the hostess did a wonderful job of seating us with four under four and four adults. The patio seating was surprisingly comfortable for how hot it's been outside. The food was good. A fun and impressive cocktail menu, however since I don't drink I had the privilege of gaining my calories in some great appetizers. (BACON WRAPPED DATES) The kids breakfast was simple, but my kids complained they didn't like the eggs and potatoes because they tasted like nothing, and they were right. Another 5-star George and Gather experience in the books! I saved my stomach for the Pesto Chicken Pizza. The sourdough pizza crust really hit the spot! The salmon that my husband ordered was very fresh and the overall dish was very colorful. However, the base is smothered with horseradish cream, so be mindful if you can't really handle spicy food, or ask for it on the side. First time here, came in for dinner on Friday 8/7/26. And wow the entire restaurant was packed. Tip: you can make reservations on their website if you plan to go during busy dining hours. There's a little market on the side of the restaurant that you can shop for cute girly merchandise, and they have bakery, coffee and other drinks. So while I was waiting for my table, I walked around the little market and got the Triple Berry Matcha with lemon cold foam. Wow! This drink was delicious! It's not too sweet and the lemon is a great complement to the matcha and the berry sauce. The restaurant has plenty of space indoor and outdoor and even private room for large parties. As this is AZ's chef week: I did the $55 menu as followed: 1st course - PEACH & BURRATA SALAD : this dish was delicious! 10/10! Every ingredients in the dish were fresh. Please add this dish on your permanent menu! 2nd - CHORIZO BEER BRAISED MUSSELS: 4/10. The mussels tasted nice and fresh. The sausage was flavorful. However, the broth was so salty. Extremely salty. This type of mussel dish is my favorite dish, I get this dish in different restaurants. So I was disappointed that the broth was very salty that I couldn't use the mussels to scoop the broth and eat the mussel and broth together. I don't think my dish was meant to be this salty .... So maybe something went wrong. 3rd: SMOKED ALMOND & BOURBON PECAN PIE: wow this is probably one of the best pecan pies I've had! It's served with Coffee chantilly cream, which was delicious. 10/10 I also got the Carne Pizza, which is on the regular menu. The pizza was great. Thin slice, the bread of the crust tastes good, and the meat was flavorful. The service was great! I got sat on the outside patio. And the waiter came out to check on me pretty often. Came here for date night , kind of last minute. Our server was pretty good for the most part. I would say this place is a 3.5 but not quite a four. We got an appetizer and two entrees and we both agreed the appetizer actually outshined the two entrees , and it was just whipped goat cheese with toasted butter crostinis. The pizza we got was pretty decent but we both didn't like the fact that it was so soggy at the bottom and the crust wasn't crispy but yet it also wasn't packed with toppings so that doesn't really make sense. We also got the braised short rib and we both thought it was kind of underwhelming. The atmosphere was great though, love the great Gatsby vibe and the restrooms sugar scrubs were a great touch. We go here pretty often as we enjoy the food because it's flavorful but also healthier for you since they don't use seed oil and everything is made from scratch. We never feel bloated or gross after eating here, even if we over indulge a bit. Service is usually great. This most recent visit we had a good variety of items: Wings with all 4 sauces - these are always great. They are crispy and flavorful on it's own even without any of the sauce Bacon wrapped dates - my first time trying these. I enjoyed the bacon but wasn't a fan of the date texture inside. My brothers loved it though. I liked the sauce it pepper puree on it. Bianca pizza - it wasn't bad but not my first choice for their pizza. I like their carne pizza as I prefer my pizzas to have sauce. The ricotta was good. G&G double burger - this was really good and flavorful. The burger was cooked well and the bun was soft. The truffle fries were good as well. Braised short rib - I only tried a bite of this one. The short rib itself was very tender and I liked it, but I didn't care much for the puree. It was more of a whipped airy texture and pretty much dissolved in your mouth once you ate it, so I couldn't really taste anything. Truffle Mac and cheese - I didn't try this but my brothers liked it. One said the truffle was faint while the other said it was pretty noticeable lol The drinks were okay and can be a bit pricey. I liked the Crimson Garden because you can really taste the ginger which I love. Honey Apricot Cheesecake - this is a must try. I'm not a big cheesecake person but this one isn't dense like others are. The whipped cream is so good and it's not overly sweet. Lavender Matcha - I'm not a big lavender person but the lavender went well with the matcha. It wasn't too earthy either. If you're on the fence, definitely give this place a shot! I was told they use clean and organic ingredients which you can taste from the get go. They were inspired by The Great Gatsby, the Art Deco-style décor is brimming with rich walnut woods, striking stylized tilework and glimmering brass fixtures, all situated beneath a restored vintage ceiling. I really like George and gather. I've been here for dinner before but this was the first time I've come for lunch. It was quite crowded at lunch, I'm parking was a bit of a challenge on the day I went. My friend was already there so they directed me to his table when I arrived. Our server promptly came to the table to take my drink order and tell me about the special that was not on the menu. I ordered the off menu chicken Caesar wrap with a side of fries. It was really delicious - - I love when they actually put their wrap on the grill to make it crispy on the outside. The fries were quite good - - the kind that you can keep eating as they get cold. After my 3 star review for lunch a few weeks ago, I made dinner reservations which I highly recommend since this place fills up fast! We lucked out & parked right in front. Place was already busy & buzzy with happy people. House bubbly water was bubbly! Service was unobtrusive & friendly. We sat at a corner booth near one of the entrances (fyi there are some on both sides of the building). Ordered a couple coffee drinks at a reasonable $7 each and they were perfectly prepared. Yes! For a starter we did truffle fries which were fresh crisp & not cooked in seed oil. That made me feel good about ordering something fried, lol. For our main we went with the Hawaiian pizza. Savory meats, fresh jalapeño with tidbits of pineapple on sourdough crust. My only wish was for a little more pineapple. Only downside was that the door we sat by kept getting left open by customers and it took a long while before a staff member closed it. All in all, it was a good time & good value. I loved this little nook as it was quieter. What We Ordered: - Red Wine: My coworker ordered this, and remarked how much she enjoyed. Takes an edge off the work week, and a great pairing of catching up while I was onsite at the Phoenix office. - Curious Cocktail: The temperature of the day we dined was 111° and I needed something refreshing. They didn't have a Spritz on the menu, so I went with this. I did enjoy the flavor, but could only have one of these as pretty sweet. - Heirloom Tomato Toast: This was the perfect start to the meal, and the vibrancy of the heirloom tomatoes was refreshing. I really enjoyed the miso aioli as it really complimented the tomatoes. - Side of Crispy Potatoes: Sometimes you just need some carbs, and these hit the spot for a starter before entrees though it is listed as a side. - Dry Rub Chicken Wings: These were decent for wings, but I think I would refrain from ordering again as the sauce choices just weren't great. - Mercato Sourdough Pizza: My coworker throughly enjoyed this pizza, and it intrigued me to return to order one as I couldn't have this one (pesto). - Orange Olive Oil Cake: This was perfection! The salted honey whip + berry coulis helped balance out the denseness and tartness of the orange olive oil cake. Enjoyed the drinks and food very much and their little market, love! The dates were my favorite. Service was great , ambiance was nice as well. Only thing that didn't give me the 5 stars was the lack of flavor for the mac and cheese and too much salt for the fries. But other than that, I will return! read more

We popped over for an early dinner after touring an apt across the street. It has a casual vibe but you had people dressed up and people in jeans. We got the curious and Clooney cocktail (named after Georges), and the goat cheese board. The sourdough is local and the taste / portion was perfect. I got the harvest bowl with salmon and my mom got the cheese burger. Really generous portion and epic taste. Our waiter (didn't get his name) had great recommendations and was attentive. It is a bit pricey - but that's to be expected at a locally sourced / scratch kitchen and honestly it's worth it. So glad we popped in!! read more

My friend and I were looking for a good brunch spot around the area and ended up at George & Gather. We couldn't decide what to order since they had so many delicious sounding options... I started off with their seasonal strawberry matcha which was pretty good because of the coconut cold foam they added! Then, we both shared their AMAZING truffle fries, brioche french toast, and their pork poutine bowl. I love it when I can find breakfast that is different from the standard. I ordered the harvest bowl with two eggs and it was very tasty. Space is open and very nice. I had such a wonderful experience at George & Gather. The staff was very helpful. The ambiance beautifully designed. The attention to detail was incredible even in the restroom they had a spa scrub that was made the restaurant that much more of beautiful experience. The food was really good! I ordered the bacon wrapped dates and French fries. As someone who is gluten and dairy free I felt very cared for. They are seed oil free which is such a plus. It also has a coffee shop and a market. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at George & Gather and it made my day that much better. read more

Came here for their happy hour menu and left pretty satisfied. The pizza is made with their 130+ year old starter and the dough was pretty good. Our waiter told us the owner actually started off in San Francisco and then sold the dough over which is pretty cool. Seems like a pretty casual place, has a cute market attached to it where you can find trinkets and soaps to buy. We didn't have a reservation and went around 3:30, but as we were leaving it was getting more busy so I would secure a reservation if you can! read more

I was in town for the weekend visiting family and was looking for a good breakfast with organic coffee. I really wish it were easier to find breakfast joints with organic coffee but it can be a bit difficult to find in certain areas, such as the east valley area. This was one of a couple options I could find. We attempted to dine here for dinner on a previous occasion but it was a long wait at that time so we went elsewhere. This time we showed up around 10:15am on a Saturday in June, and we were quoted 90 minutes for two people. Fortunately there was room at the bar, so we were seated immediately. The decor is very clean and subtlety higher end. It is an open floor plan with the bar towards the front door, which is also accessible from the large patio (in cooler weather times) that has mister fans and a lot of shade. They have one of the nicest and cleanest restrooms in the valley, with complementary sea salt scrub and high end paper napkins. They also have a couple luxurious event spaces, one of which was hosting an engagement party. My mom tried a non alcoholic drink special with decaffeinated tea and fresh juices, with a little flower on top. She also tried the avocado toast. She enjoyed both but she said the avocado toast was a little spicy, albeit she has an extremely low tolerance for spice. I opted for the breakfast sandwich and black coffee. The coffee came in a neat mug with an oversized handle that was very ergonomic. It was good, but slightly watery. Was at least comforting to know it wasn't laced with tons of pesticides like most restaurants' coffee. The egg, bacon and avocado sandwich was delicious. The egg and bacon were cooked perfectly, and the bread was nice and soft but not too dry. The greens on the side were fresh with a nice vinaigrette. The service was excellent, all of the staff were friendly and seemed to be happy to be there. All in all I was impressed with this place. The only thing I wish they had on their brunch menu was an omelette, because this is first place I have been in a very long time that isn't a fine dining establishment, where they actually know how to cook eggs properly. They were fluffy, moist, and light. I don't bring this up as a brag, but I attended culinary school and learned proper scrambled egg (French style) technique years ago. I am a sucker for a warm and cozy vibe and places that support smart businesses. George & Gather is just that! I absolutely adored the walk to and from the registers that had a ton of products from small businesses. Their seating area was clean, spacious, and cozy while having plenty of it both indoors and outdoors. I tried the breakfast burrito which was a perfect size and very yummy. I want to come back to try more cause everything sounded good. Definitely recommend if you want a space to gather with family or friends and good food. Bonus: they had a body scrub as a sample in the bathroom! I tried it, loved it, and bought it. read more

We went when this place first opened around august last year. We got on the wait list and actually got seated an hour later than the estimated time. Prices are expensive for what we got. Food was nothing special. Service not that attentive. Hope things are different now though. The decor is very pretty inside. read more
