Food is pretty good. Service can be very slow and the entire restaurant and bathrooms really need a good scrub down! We enjoyed ourselves but not sure we will be back a lot.

Hubs stopped for a quick take out meal. We love Mediterranean food and this was a great portion with a nice variety. Gyro plate with rice substitute and side Greek salad was a generous portion. Sides of veggies, tzatziki, and pita triangles. Very good. He had the Souvlaki plate with rice. So fragrant and delicious! We will come back.

You guessed it, this chain of restaurants serves Greek food. I ordered a falafel plate which comes with rice, hummus, pita bread, and a small salad. The worker was nice to us and the food itself was overall average for the $16.75 cost.

Was over in this area the other day doing some shopping. There are a few places tucked in, in the back corner of the complex to choose from. Originally, I had planned something different, but the price range was a little to steep, so I walked on down to see what else might be an option. I noticed this Greek Restaurant and that sounded more to my liking. It was shortly after 2:30 PM & I was the only customer inside. After browsing their menu decided on their Greek Burger. Fries are an additional fee; yet wanted to add this and a drink to make it a combo. As I waited to eat in: Noticed the manger (possibly owner) doing paperwork at one of the tables, also took note of how clean and well stocked the eatery was. My meal arrived in a decent timeframe, server brought it out to me. Presentation was great. It tasted just as it looked. Toppings were fresh and the flavor of the patty was spot on. ALL those savory spices & earthly flavors blended so well together. I was extremely pleased with the outcome. Would say though- the fries could have been a little crispier but, they were good & really liked that they were not overly salted. Recommend checking out this spot if you haven't and SUPPORT a terrific local business that is newer to the area with excellent food & an authentic quality experience! Plan to come again and explore more of their menu. Prices seem reasonable and with tax & tip standard changes as well. Visit the next time you are craving Mediterranean, you won't be disappointed!

What on earth is this...a kids meal? This is horrific

I thought that I found another happy place eating here last time, but this time, I've had a change of heart. I ordered the gyros platter which comes with all of the fixings to build your own pita bread bites but this time what they provided me looked more like a kids meal. Very disappointed! The place is nice and big and is a great place to sit inside to eat, however the portions were a miss!!! (See photos) Try it for yourself and hopefully, they will provide you with a full meal and not a kids meal, if you didn't order a kids meal. There's plenty of parking onsite

Chicken Souvlaki Pita: pita is super soft & fluffy, and there are fries in it!

Tried this spot out for a quick lunch after hearing good things about it from family members. I usually get a platter, but heard the gyros were good, so I tried the Chicken Souvlaki Pita and it was great! The pita was super soft and fluffy, chicken was tender (although I do wish there was a bit more of it), and I thought it was unique that there were fries in the gyro! My husband got the Gyro Plate with Pork Belly. We've never seen pork belly as an option at a Greek place so we were curious. But it wasn't as good as we hoped. Seemed a bit tough and overcooked. So if we come back, we'll try a different meat option instead. But overall, this place is very clean and the gyros/pita are tasty!

Had a good experience while we were looking for a balanced, healthier option for lunch. Similar to most Mediterranean places, the menus are very similar when it comes to the proteins and salads of choice. I stuck with my norm, Gyro pita wrap, no onions, add lettuce with fries & a drink. I thought the pita was soft good & the gyro meat was tender. I got the Greek fries to change it up... they were okay. In addition, we got a Greek Salad with a side of chicken. It was a really big salad bowl, but it felt a bit lacking with flavor. Ended up only eating half and packaged the rest for later. It was still good later that evening. The place is kept clean, and that's a bonus as I felt the staff did a great job cleaning up.

    Greek fries and Beef/Lamb Gyro

I love Mediterranean food. There's some great spots near my work and a great spot near my church, but no options near my house...until now when Nick the Greek opened up on the corner of Gilbert and Germann (far N side of the shopping center on the NE corner). I was impressed when walking in- spacious, well-lit, bright menu board. Definitely a nice location except there's no real patio seating available. I told the lady at the counter it was my first time at Nick the Greek and she asked 'this location or any location?'. Darn...didn't realize it was a chain but too early to judge...could still be amazing! Being lunch time and I don't typically have large portions at lunch, I opted for the staple meal- Beef/Lamb Gyro and I made it into a combo which adds a side and drink. For my side, I tried the Greek Fries (includes garlic, feta, scallions and dill). The total was over $18. That's more than I like to spend for lunch but if it was delicious I won't think twice about the amount. Almost as soon as I filled up my drink cup (Pepsi fountain and Tractor drinks...neither of which I particularly enjoy) the food came out. That was quick! I tried the fries first...lots of feta and not too much else on them. The fries were limp and rubbery. The feta on them was quite tasteless as well. Very disappointing. I then tried the Gyro. Not too bad...the beef/lamb was sliced thin and tasted like most rotisserie gyro meat. The tzatziki was light and not very flavorful. They were also quite stingy on the onions and tomatoes. The pita itself was soft and good. Overall the meal for the price was mediocre. There's many other Greek/Mediterranean places within a 15min drive that have much better offerings at equivalent or better prices. I may be back in the future and will opt for hummus or basmati rice as my side instead of the fries.

Rob the super friendly PR person gave me the run down on their newest franchise opening in Phoenix. Nick the Greek is a casual restaurant from California and their Phoenix location has been open since 2022. The order and dining area is open and welcoming. It looks like it can hold approx 50 patrons. The combo I had was good. There was a generous portion of the meat in my gyro. Their puta bread was pillowy soft!! I found my side of Greek salad light on the dressing-but I seem to find all the Greek Salads in AZ light on their dressing. I will shall return!

The real deal! Tried Nick the Greek for the first time and I'm seriously impressed! I ordered the chicken souvlaki plate with rice and Greek salad, plus a kid's chicken souvlaki, all through the Yelp app. Ordering was super easy and the service was fast--my food was ready right on time. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The chicken was perfectly cooked, the salad was crisp, and the rice had great flavor. You can tell they use quality ingredients. I'll definitely be coming back--this might just be my new go-to spot!

New restaurant that just opened in Chandler. This location is better than their downtown Phoenix location. Fast casual where you order and then they bring your food to you when it's ready. The food is decent.

The atmosphere is upbeat, bright, and welcoming with a really good energy whether you're stopping in for lunch, dinner, or meeting up with a larger group. The setup works especially well for groups since there's plenty of seating and the ordering process keeps things moving even when it's busy. One thing they do very well is efficiency without losing hospitality. They have both a dine-in ordering counter and a dedicated to-go counter, which seems necessary because this place stays packed. Even during busy times, the staff stays friendly, attentive, and organized. You can tell there's real attention paid to each order and that management understands how to run a smooth restaurant operation. The menu has a lot of solid choices whether you want something lighter, comforting, vegetarian, or protein-packed. Portions were satisfying, and the broccoli deserves its own mention -- somehow simple but absolutely addictive. My only real note is that pricing feels a little high for an order-at-the-counter style restaurant. That said, the quality, atmosphere, and overall experience do make it easier to justify once in a while.

When you enter the Gilbert Gateway Towne Center, you have to maneuver through tricky shared parking to find a space. We dined half past 6pm on Memorial Day, so thankfully parking was easier as I believe some businesses were closed for the holiday. Though parking is tight, there is no shortage of seating in this establishment. Some bench-style seating as well as chairs to accommodate whichever you prefer. What We Ordered: ~ The Great Greek Gyro (no onions) x2: My boyfriend remarked that the gyro meat tastes like it was reheated, which I also noticed it slightly tougher than a more authentic one I've had previously. Still a very solid gyro given this is a chain and fast service place with a generous portion. ~ Sides with our meals: French fries and lemon potatoes Personally, the lemon potatoes are a pass next time as very buttery and heavy. The French fries however, were fantastic! They appear to be twice fried to have an extra crunchiness. Overall, if I'm in the area and in the mood for Mediterranean, then I'd pop in to The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill. P.s. Don't forget to add your number for rewards via Toast!

I really wish it were easier to find breakfast joints with organic coffee but it can be a bit difficult to find in certain areas, such as the east valley area. This was one of a couple options I could find. We attempted to dine here for dinner on a previous occasion but it was a long wait at that time so we went elsewhere. This time we showed up around 10:15am on a Saturday in June, and we were quoted 90 minutes for two people. Fortunately there was room at the bar, so we were seated immediately. The decor is very clean and subtlety higher end. It is an open floor plan with the bar towards the front door, which is also accessible from the large patio (in cooler weather times) that has mister fans and a lot of shade. They have one of the nicest and cleanest restrooms in the valley, with complementary sea salt scrub and high end paper napkins. They also have a couple luxurious event spaces, one of which was hosting an engagement party. My mom tried a non alcoholic drink special with decaffeinated tea and fresh juices, with a little flower on top. She also tried the avocado toast. She enjoyed both but she said the avocado toast was a little spicy, albeit she has an extremely low tolerance for spice. I opted for the breakfast sandwich and black coffee. The coffee came in a neat mug with an oversized handle that was very ergonomic. It was good, but slightly watery. Was at least comforting to know it wasn't laced with tons of pesticides like most restaurants' coffee. The egg, bacon and avocado sandwich was delicious. The egg and bacon were cooked perfectly, and the bread was nice and soft but not too dry. The greens on the side were fresh with a nice vinaigrette. The service was excellent, all of the staff were friendly and seemed to be happy to be there. All in all I was impressed with this place. The only thing I wish they had on their brunch menu was an omelette, because this is first place I have been in a very long time that isn't a fine dining establishment, where they actually know how to cook eggs properly. They were fluffy, moist, and light. I don't bring this up as a brag, but I attended culinary school and learned proper scrambled egg (French style) technique years ago. This is the first place I've been in a long time that gives my eggs a run for their money.

So flavorful and filling, but still light thanks to the ground turkey. Truly a must-order , especially paired with their side Caesar salad! My husband loved the wings in BBQ chipotle and buffalo--both packed with flavor! And of course, we couldn't leave without the GF warm chocolate chip cookie à la mode. The perfect ending to such a phenomenal meal. Picazzo's, I just love all of your gluten-free creations. Thank you for always making dining out feel fun, easy, and so, so delicious!
