Being gluten-free can sometimes feel limiting--like you're missing out on the full experience. But not at Picazzo's! This is one of my favorite spots because I can order almost the entire menu with confidence--it's nearly all gluten-free, which is such a treat. We especially love coming for their "Healthy Hour" (their fun twist on Happy Hour) to enjoy a variety of appetizers and drinks. Last night, my husband and I snuck away for a little date night, and it was absolutely perfect. We kicked things off with the Spinach Artichoke Dip and GF focaccia--so creamy, rich, and completely satisfying! And yes... I got to enjoy a gluten-free IPA (!!), which always feels like such a win. Our server, August, was wonderful, and the outdoor ambiance was just right for soaking in that beautiful spring weather. For my entrée--ummm, not pictured because I literally couldn't stop eating it long enough to take a photo --I had the Meat-za Balls. They were incredible! So flavorful and filling, but still light thanks to the ground turkey. Truly a must-order , especially paired with their side Caesar salad! My husband loved the wings in BBQ chipotle and buffalo--both packed with flavor! And of course, we couldn't leave without the GF warm chocolate chip cookie à la mode. The perfect ending to such a phenomenal meal. Picazzo's, I just love all of your gluten-free creations. Thank you for always making dining out feel fun, easy, and so, so delicious!

Quick lunch at Picazzo's Gilbert with my hubby--gluten-free Italian fusion that's a healthy vibes. The Spicy Chipotle Chicken Pasta? Spot-on:, tender grilled chicken, and al dente pasta that hit the savory spot. But the Spicy Thai Peanut Fusilli leaned too sweet (that peanut sauce went full dessert mode--next time, extra lime squeeze!). Fresh, allergy-friendly spot with cozy indoor seating and speedy service. Generous portions, ~$50 for two.. East Valley gem for lighter Italian experiments--we'll return!

I had heard about Picazzo's Healthy Italian Kitchen for quite some time, but I'll be honest the idea of "healthy pizza" didn't sound all that appealing at first. Since I've been trying to cut back on gluten, I finally decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. First off, the server, I can't remember if her name was Lauren or Kristen, but she was amazing! She was super friendly, incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, and made the whole experience even better with her great customer service. I ordered a cauliflower crust pizza with half Spicy Calabrian and half Puttanesca, and both were absolutely incredible! Even the crust surprised me in the best way. I also got a side of pesto sauce, which was phenomenal. Honestly, all of their sauces are top-notch. The restaurant itself is clean and clearly focused on healthier options, which I really appreciate. I also love that they avoid seed oils in most of their food, something that's really hard to find anywhere these days. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and high quality, and it's obvious that the owners and staff genuinely care about the food and the overall experience. You can even buy the pizza dough, both the gluten-free or the regular dough to take home and make your own pizza if that something you're into. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for healthier options without sacrificing flavor!

Kale and white bean soup and Vegan chicken picatta lunch combo

Lovely, comfy atmosphere with nice lighting and a full bar and an outdoor patio. The menu is almost overwhelming with so many great choices. As a vegan, I was so happy there was so much for me! My husband and I each had a lunch combo. One with vegan chicken piccata and also kale white bean soup which were both very tasty. They both screamed for some Parmesan though, but unfortunately Picazzos doesn't carry non-dairy Parmesan. The other combo was a salad bowl with pizza slice. We had the Mother Earth bowl which was the absolute standout! So delicious with many hearty, healthy ingredients and a phenomenal dressing. The pizza slice was blah though. Honestly, I think Picazzos should make their own vegan cheese. The processed stuff just isn't very good. (Example: True Food's vegan ricotta is a delicious house made cheese). Also, apparently the only vegan crust is gluten free as well which was disappointing. I don't have any problems with gluten and would have liked a nice fluffy crust. So next time I will stay away from the vegan pizza and bring my own Parmesan. Otherwise, everything was great.

Everything tasted healthy or fresh, the cheese bread was amazing except the underside of the cheese bread was burnt so we just had to eat around that. But the flavors were perfect. Pizza is six small slices, delicious crust. Lots of gluten-free and dairy free options. Server was attentive, but seemed like he had a lot of tables for a Saturday night. Three kids and two adults cost $115 with no alcohol. Waited about 15 minutes for a table

A friend and I went for lunch today and I was anxious to try it after looking at their menu online. First of all this place is so cute! Very mid century modern meets contemporary inside. Very comfortable seating options. There's an inside space which is quite large, an atrium type space with a garage door and options for a large group, and also a small patio on the side. I had the combo which was nicely priced and came with a beverage, small salad, and slice of pizza. The salad was very fresh and had nice bites of several vegetables. The balsamic dressing was thick and yummy! But the pizza- that was the star of the show! It was a generous slice with the most amazing crust! I chose my own toppings and the list is extensive! I had artichoke hearts and spinach and it was the perfect choice. My friend had the vegan chik'n wing bites with two different sauces and she loved it. The service was friendly and attentive. I noticed that they offer a very nice happy hour menu from 3-6 so I look forward to going back!

Wow... exceeded my expectations. Our server was great tending to refills and getting water promptly. Our food came out super fast and it was so good. Hot and ready to eat. Flavored beyond my expectations and the price was extremely reasonable. I will be back to try most if not all the apps!

Oh my this was a wonderful, tasty meal this evening. The pizza has great crust, well baked, super tasty toppings and generous amount of food. Our server was August- and he was great. Prompt, attentive and just so kind. Great job to him. I had the puttenesca pizza and my sister had the fig and pepperoni. They were so good The bathrooms were clean, the outside space was so nice and it was just a good evening.

Our friend who had a dairy allergy recommended this lunch spot and I'm glad we went, otherwise, we probably would have never been here. We sat in the patio and the outdoor area is spacious. The service was friendly, though a bit slow. I got the hot honey and fig pizza and it was delicious! The kids got the fusilli and meatballs and mac and cheese. They enjoyed their meal as well.

As a health food vegan, I am always on the lookout for food like this: whole foods/plant-based, including some oil-free options. Their whole menu reads like a list of my favorite food buzzwords: buckwheat, lentil cauliflower scramble, sunflower seed meat, local fermented sauerkraut, freshly milled Sonoran wheat; tempeh, sourdough, homemade seeded bread, homemade cashew milk, etc. etc. It was legitimately hard to decide what to get. I went with the baked(!) strawberry banana oat buckwheat pancakes. Super tasty, and a generous portion. I also couldn't resist an oil-free sunbutter cookie (with its wacky bluegreen tinge that was apparently from the sunflower seeds) and also loved the cold brew coffee with cashew milk.

A Hidden Gem You NEED to Try - Don't Let This Place Stay a Secret!…read moreI've been to Sage & Barrel Craft Eatery a few times now, and every visit leaves me wondering why this place isn't packed every single night. We stopped in on a Monday evening and had the whole vibe almost to ourselves--such a shame because this spot is seriously awesome and deserves a full house! The atmosphere is so vibey--warm, inviting, perfectly lit with that perfect mix of casual and upscale that makes you want to settle in and stay awhile. It feels special without being stuffy, great for date nights, family dinners, or just unwinding with friends over craft beers (their selection is impressive--40+ local options with plenty on tap). But the real star? The food. Everything is scratch-made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you can taste the care in every bite. Deeply flavorful, innovative twists on classics, generous portions, and consistently excellent. Whether you go for the Nashville hot chicken and waffles, fish & chips, burgers, or whatever catches your eye, it's all done right. No frozen junk here--just real, delicious food that keeps you coming back. Queen Creek (and the East Valley) needs more places like this. There was no smile, greeting, or sense that we were happy to be there. Our server was very nice personally, but the service was incredibly disorganized. What made it even more frustrating was that she only had two tables, and the restaurant was not busy. My husband's meal never came out, and she did not even notice that he was still waiting for it. While we were waiting for his food, she brought us a drink we had never ordered. She also filled my kids' lemonades with water. The food was just as disappointing. The salmon was extremely dry and hard, and the pasta noodles my kids ordered were hard as well. After waiting and realizing my husband's meal was never coming, we asked for the bill. At that point, our server actually asked if my husband was ready to order... even though he had already ordered and had been waiting for his meal the entire time. Our bill ended up being high, which made the experience even more frustrating because we spent that much money and left feeling like we received essentially nothing worth coming back for. We all left hungry. Mistakes happen, but this was not one small mistake. It was a series of issues with the service, drinks, food, and basic attentiveness, especially considering the restaurant was not busy. For the amount we paid, we expected a completely different experience. Unfortunately, we will not be back.

The tuna melt sounded great to me so I ordered that with gluten free bread as well as a GF pastry. I think it was a muffin top. Both items were delish! I devoured the tuna salad in the cafe before leaving and it helped me with my workout later that afternoon. The pastry was delightful as well. It was light and not too sweet. I came back a couple of weeks later and brought my husband who was looking for a healthy drink after we played golf. We both got shakes. My husband got the green goddess and I was looking for something refreshing so I got the Caribbean crush which has coconut milk, pineapple, vanilla protein, mango, strawberries, and OJ. It was exactly what I needed!
