I rarely have been for the lunchtime hour, but I really like the lunch menu. You can order in lunch portion sizes and combos are offered. The price is also very reasonable. I can confirm that Picazzo's is both healthy and an Italian kitchen. It's got a mean mocktail menu (Detox on the Rocks was delicious) and the Hot Honey Fig Jam Salami pizza made me want to invent a Time Machine for the sole purpose of going back in time and ordering it again, but this time not sharing it and consuming the whole pizza, then using the Time Machine one more time to do the same thing, except share it the third time so there is only one timeline where I hogged the whole pizza. I've eaten here numerous times. Sometimes weekly due to the food allergies I have and after my dining experience today I won't be back. The service was mind blowing and I mean that in the worst way. The restaurant was dead and we had a decent sized group but somehow we barely saw our waiter and when we did we were met with a cold attitude. Empty drinks sat the entire meal, no water refills, and the wrong meals served to the wrong people. Not to mention the waiter interrupting and cutting off people in our group when trying to order our food. What's even more disappointing was the general manager was walking around the dead restaurant the entire time but failed to come over and recognize that our group was having a terrible experience. there are better restaurants in the area that care about service so it won't be hard to forget about picazzos. A few years ago it was a great place, sad to see it going downhill. And to Nancy below we dined in on 3-17 a party over 5 and we were in the restaurant from 2:45-5:15pm. I'm sure you will know who was working from your schedules for that day. If you need more information I'm happy to email if you can provide one. As for flagging down your manager for correction. Why should I have to do that? That should be your mangers job to be check in with tables and be aware. I'm there to dine I'm also there to enjoy my time with my family so flagging down your GM in front of my group wasn't ideal and I don't think it is for anyone. What is ideal is looking at the small staff you had working that day and train better. It should never fall on the guest to clean up your staffing mess. read more

The pasta was swimming in oil and the Caesar salad dressing did not taste like any Caesar salad dressing I'd ever had before. It had an overpowering vinegar taste to it. The food here is really good. My one question though - is it really Italian? I'm not saying this as a bad thing, please don't get me wrong. We visited Picazzo's Healthy Italian Kitchen for lunch. The restaurant wasn't too crowded or busy and had a really great ambiance to the restaurant. While the restaurant was not packed our service was a little slow. We came to the restaurant because they had two menus one with normal ingredients and one with allergen free ingredients. We ordered from both menus. The chicken wings were really good and the dairy free cheese bread was also pretty tasty. For entrees we had the lasagna and the dairy free pizza. The lasagna was tasty and filling while the pizza was very very greasy. I believe the dairy free cheese was too thick leaving it tasting a little unsatisfying. read more

I came for dinner Friday night with my mom and am SO glad we did! The restaurant is clean, great ambiance, and parking is easy. We were seated pretty quickly, maybe a 10 minute wait. Started w the Brie appetizer and honestly, it was the only thing I didn't love. It was REALLY liquidy and garlic-pungent but the fig jam was great. We shared the hot honey salami pizza and IT WAS DELICIOUS!! The crust, the honey, everything - amazing! I also had their house sangria - so good. I really think this is a 3.5 star restaurant, but I pushed it to a 4 because the staff was so nice. Stopped here a 5:30 pm on a Monday. It wasn't very crowded which was nice we did not have to wait for a table. The hostess took us to the patio which again was not that full and put us in a seat where two of us had to sit directly staring into the setting sun. There were plenty of open tables that would not have required us to look into the sun but her first thought was to put us in a table where we would have to deal with the sun for most of the evening. My wife and I each ordered an entree and one of us got the mixed greens side salad. No drinks, no appetizers and no dessert. Our bill was $46 for two people to eat dinner. I ordered the Cajun grilled chicken pasta and my wife ordered lasagna. The food was delicious the portions were a on the small side but adequate. My biggest pet peeve in the world when going to an Italian restaurant happened though. No bread served with the meal. The only complaint I had with my Cajun grilled chicken pasta was that the chicken might have been just a little overcooked it was a little on the chewy side but the flavor was very good. My wife loved her lasagna. The mixed green salad was flavorful but not overly impressive. I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant. It had a fresh vibrant look and feel. Stopped in for dinner to celebrate our anniversary. I have relatively limited foods I can eat at the moment, so we were excited to see that they are Gluten Free and have an entire vegan menu!!! Everything is GF except for one pizza crust, and they have a separate oven and prep station. Note the disclaimer on their website, but it's nice to know they have high standards to eliminate cross contamination. Hubby ordered the Old Fashioned to drink and the Vortex with the organic crust (not GF). He said that the crust was made very well (not over nor under-cooked), and the toppings were plentiful. He mentioned that the quantity and quality of the toppings were note-worthy, as many establishments (who don't include pizza as a staple) tend to be lack-luster in this regard. He kept commenting on how fresh everything was, and he thoroughly enjoyed every bite! I ordered the Vegan Beyond Sausage and Pesto pasta- sub zoodles, olive oil instead of pesto, and no mushrooms. I also ordered a side of the mixed veggies (zucchini and squash). The zoodles were cooked to perfection-- I can never get them this way at home, mine always come out wilted and mushy! The dish was just the right size and loaded with fresh, organic ingredients. There was a bit too much oil for my preference, but I also didn't ask for it to go easy on the oil. The side veggies were scrumptious with the seasonings and were perfectly roasted (crunchy yet tender). Since we are celebrating 10 years of being together, of course we had to get dessert. I'm not supposed to have added sugar, but I couldn't resist trying the vegan cheesecake, and I do NOT regret it! It was rich, smooth, and creamy, and it was just the right amount of sweetness. I am normally not a fan of daiya cheese, but this was mouth-watering delicious! Collin was our server, and he was fantastic! Patient as I took my time perusing the menu to figure out what I could eat, and what would work best for my plan; helpful in suggesting zoodles as an option and building my dish; took time to explain how the GF kitchen is set up; kept tabs on us even though we were sitting outside, and even impressed me by getting my picky order right even without writing it down! I really really enjoy going to Picazzo's, I've been there twice now! Their atmosphere, is nice and food so yummy! I have a dairy allergy, so for them to have an allergy free menu means so much to me! I've gotten these items shown in pictures, along with the pizza! The Miyoko's mozzarella dairy free cheese is delicious! I've been to other places where the cheese is much plasticky but certainly not here at Picazzo's! To die for! Would recommend it to everyone! I enjoyed a birthday lunch for 2 family members at Picazzo's on a lovely Sunday. Our server was Myiah who took our orders accurately after explaining some unique menu options on the menu. I had the Meaty Meat pizza which my son recommended and he had the Bar-B-Que Chicken Pizza. The children's menu is very considerate of younger tastes, and the Hawaiian Pizza with carrots and applesauce along with fresh apple juice were a big hit. The birthday dessert was apple crisp with vanilla ice cream which we took home as the food was not only superb but filling. I would highly recommend this delightful restaurant that has many locations throughout the Phoenix area suburbs. The ambiance is upscale and modern with comfortable captains chairs and large tables or booths.
