    Lemon drop....

I went to the Douglasville, GA location on my BIRTHDAY! First of all the staff was wonderful! This was January and of course a football game was on. The bar staff was wonderful, friendly and veryyyyy busy. I ordered wings & fries. The lemon Drops were fantastic!! **The TO-GO pizzas were flying out the door like crazy!

    The Perfect Pepperoni Pizza

This is by far the best New York Pizza in the Phoenix area. 10 Stars! The wings are great too!

The pepperoni pizza has too much cheese. It's rubbery. It probably would taste better well done but I would definitely come give this place a second chance. It wasn't too bad but as a first impression, 100% yes. This Parmesan cheese has mold in the shaker and they gave me a coupon in return.

Now THIS is how a good "mom and pop shop" pizza should be!! We were QUITE impressed with the excellent quality ingredients on these pizzas! Thick fresh chewy mozzarella! The staff were awesome too. We visited on a Monday afternoon and were told their Monday special was BOGO free. Bonus! We got the Sweet and Spicy pizza that had the sweet and spicy honey drizzle. Yummy! But we got it on the side so we could adjust to our liking. We will absolutely go back, and you should too!

Very friendly and cozy spot. Thank you Turtle, you did great for your first day! And thank you Matt! We had the Stinging Hawaiian with bacon and garlic bread knots. It was very good!!! Will come back when in area again.

Saw this place in Yelp and had to try it! The customer service was great! Very polite and informative. We had the twisted pizza knots with pepperoni, sausage and jalapeños. Something that was a great cherry topper, was the basil they automatically added. The Cesar salad was delicious and fresh, and a good size to split with two people. We tried the wings, extra crispy, and it was delicious! It was pretty empty inside but there were many people getting orders to go, so they stay busy! The place was nice and clean, we will be back or order out when we host gatherings!

Poor excuse for a pizza. So salty it bordered on the inedible. The place itself is a dump. Bad ingredients, just not good pizza.

I love that they change their menu daily, it's handwritten and the details are posted on their Instagram page if you want to take a look before you arrive. Everything is made fresh to order! The day we had gone in, they had a few sandwich and pasta options available to choose from. My husband got the spicy Italian sausage ziti pasta dish and I ordered the chicken parm sandwich. The sandwich came out first; I really liked the marinara sauce on it. It was a bit difficult to eat but exactly what I was expecting and wanting. The pasta took some time to come out, but that was fine. The sauce was like a pesto vodka sauce, very rich & filling, and also tasty. We were both only able to eat half of each dish since they were both large dishes. I believe they only serve pasta dishes on certain days, so if they have them on the menu, definitely consider ordering one of those. They seem to have sandwiches everyday. It's a pretty small place with a few tables & some bar type seating. It gets pretty busy around lunch time, so plan accordingly. We'll be back again to try other items!

Simple Bad-da Bad-da Boom done! Simple try it. Parking 5/5 Arrived a few minutes before our 6pm reservation and our hostess found and confirmed our Yelp reservations. She brought us to our table. Ambiance 5/5 Thats correct not atmosphere here it's 100% ambiance. Subdued lighting, table candlelight's, Service 10/5 Alyssa was our server tonight. Very friendly and welcoming. She had in depth knowledge the menu, specials, wines and pairings, and Sprites. She timed our courses perfectly which allowed us to enjoy starters, Salado which is a detail lost on many Resturant's today. The kitchen was magnifico tonight. Thank-you guys! Alyssa was all that and more, this is what table service should be like. Great job we will be asking for you again. Food 10/5 We ordered the zucchini which were served in a nice and little crisp batter. They were great. We ordered a salad which was large enough for sharing. The dressing was the perfect paring for all the wonderful ingredients. Entrees included an order of Egg plant parmigiana over pasta. Portions are generous. My entree was tonight's special, prime rib ragu also a generous portion. The prime rib was nicely incorporated in their linguine style pasta and with other fresh vegetables in a hearty an slightly sweet sauce like my own. This was a perfect recommendation by Alyssa thank- you I'd order this again. Desert was a large serving of crème brûlée. The topping was perfectly toasted giving it its crispy texture and smoky notes. Looking for an Italian date night or cozy chill and classy place to finish your day on a good note, Sam & Luca's Italian Bistro won't disappoint. I always skip the pepperoncini peppers and get extra salami and cheese. I've tried their chicken Parmesan, spaghetti in meat sauce, chicken cutlet piccata with fettuccine alfredo and lasagna. I wasn't wowed by any of the entrees and the marinara sauce is a bit too sweet for my liking. The unlimited salad and bread is always the highlight of my meal and a treat especially as I don't eat bread at home. For $11.50, it's an excellent value. All the staff members are also incredibly nice and accommodating. It's easy to see why this restaurant is so popular and always busy.

We made reservations at Pizzicata in anticipation of both Valentine's Day and the need to re-carb after the event. We arrived at the host stand a few minutes before our reservation, but were told that there were no indoor tables available. If we wanted to be seated immediately, we'd have to accept an outdoor table, even though we had a reservation for indoor seating. We opted to wait because the weather was chilly by Arizona standards, and we were still recovering from the race. A couple of minutes later, another hostess approached us and asked whether we had reservations and were waiting. When we confirmed, she immediately left to find us a table, and we were seated very shortly afterwards. I thought very little of this until the owner came to our table and apologized for the issue. He was kind and sincere in his regret for the situation and was excited to tell us about the staff and the food. We were wildly appreciative of this attention to detail and service! We shared the potato croquettes, and they were everything I was hoping they'd be and more. (Light lore: I chose Pizzicata because I saw a picture of these croquettes on their online menu.) For dinner, my husband had the Travolta pizza, and I had the gnocchi gorgonzola. We both did that thing where we sat back in our chairs, breathed deeply, and declared, "oh dang, that's goooood." We were both so happy with our choices - I can't speak to the pizza, but that was some of the best gnocchi I've ever had. Pillowy soft in this perfectly nutty, cheesy, creamy sauce. *chef's kiss* For dessert, we shared the tiramisu, which was perfect in every way. If we weren't already walking funny because of the race, we'd have still waddled out of Pizzicata from happy fullness. The service, the food, the vibe - we're here for it and we'll be back the next time we're in Mesa.
