We have been back here three times in 10 days at the suggestion of our waitress, Katie! Not a single time had disappointed! We returned for the rib special, and now the lasagna. The service, food quality, portions, and prices cannot be beat! It is definitely one of our new "go to" destinations.

Absolutely excellent pizza in a hidden hole in the wall spot! The grandmas pie and their margherita pizzas were outstanding. Truly a gem and they really know what they're doing. The pizza is ny style with a solid crisp plus softness to the crust. Their ribs are great too, but weekends only.

Now known as pizza shack slice house. Walk in plenty of area to sit and dine in or take out. I'm not sure if they do delivery. They have fountain drinks available to offer, bathrooms available and clean. Very Friendly staff helpful and easy to order. We ordered 6 large pizzas few different and some garlic knots. Pizza was really good nice big slices garlic knots also great came served w marinara sauce.

The time we had here wasn't too conventional towards a customer service. Jimmy apparently one of the owners was rude and seemed irritated to our arrival we came an hour before close I see the potential issue but none the less , we sit and order to be greeted with dirty plates , happily to give me new ones we decided to stay and eat , we had fries, onion rings, fried bread , and 2 pizzas ( pepperoni and chicken jalepenio . The pizza crust and bread was superb by far my favorite part of our experience the sauce was lacking to my opinion needed a little more the cheese melted to perfection . The pizza itself delighted the experience . The finger foods were minimally cooked which once again I should have had them crispier. Overall I'd go back they seeem to have a lot of deals and fair pricing don't be scared to step in here . But check your plates that's

I've been hearing about Pizza Roma Italian Cafe for ages and finally decided to drop in for a visit. What a cool little out of the way place! When we got there, there wasn't anyone else around. As the evening went on, it slowly filled up and by the time we left, it was crowded! I love it when these local shops get great business. Since it was my first time here, I decided to go with the appetizer sampler with wings (HOT), mozza sticks and zucchini sticks with sides of ranch and marinara. Everything hit the spot especially chasing it down with a cold one! Soon I had my pies on order. A 14" meat lovers and a 14' Hawaiian. After a short wait, our food was brought to the table. Okay, these pies were GREAT! Golden brown crust, crispy on the outside, chewy on the inside. Just the way I love it. Toppings were cooked through and cheese to toppings ratio was on point. Perfect cheese pulls! These were well made pizzas! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food and the service was GREAT! Our server kept our glasses full and kept checking on us. He later mentioned that he was working by himself that evening. I have say, you wouldn't know it! He had the front of the house moving! Excellent job! My family will definitely be returning to Pizza Roma Italian Cafe! Another East Mesa GEM!

Wonderful pizza! This is the second time we have ordered takeout and delivery, and everything was great. The salad too, no iceberg here, nice fresh Romaine lettuce black olives and cheese. (We asked for no tomates). Great selection of toppings and the prices are fair. YUM!!

Ahhh - my lunch special was a 10" personal pizza and salad with a drink. Any toppings!!! I chose a margarita pizza with some pepperoni. Perfection. Thin crust was amazing, little crispy with that nice mouth texture, not too doughy, not too much. Didn't hide BUT made the light & delicate tomato sauce really SHINE. Tomato is the key word - as in homemade tomato sauce that began in your own garden, enriched soil and some sunshine flavor. The mozzarella was really fresh. Basil added heaven to it. Little tiny sweet tomatoes halved, just almost exploded from the warm oven...but not quite. Think FRESH on a homemade crust. I also ordered the lasagna pizza for my husband, and I took a big bite of it and it was lovely, I hope he enjoys it tonight. A decent amount of garlic and a richer sauce surrounding that meatball n sausage should make him smile. Just don't be swayed by the bigger restaurant on the north side of Main with a similar name on a big sign - this little cafe is in the Southside of Main in the strip mall.

    Grandma's Pie

The best pizza in East Mesa. Super thin crust, hardly any flop and quality ingredients. They make their own sausage, in house, and you can tell. Plenty of seating for the family and a friendly staff. If you live on the East Side, check out Pizza Shack, Slice House.

Absolutely delicious!!!! We also had wings and pizza but didn't stop to take a picture, it was too yummy! Unfortunately our visit didn't go as planned, it was too busy for one cook to handle - lotssss of Togo orders and restaurant filled with people. We'd love to go again, but don't want to run into the same issue of waiting an hour for our food. So dear management - please staff at least 2 cooks during the winter and holiday season! :) our server was also wonderful.

I love that they change their menu daily, it's handwritten and the details are posted on their Instagram page if you want to take a look before you arrive. Everything is made fresh to order! The day we had gone in, they had a few sandwich and pasta options available to choose from. My husband got the spicy Italian sausage ziti pasta dish and I ordered the chicken parm sandwich. The sandwich came out first; I really liked the marinara sauce on it. It was a bit difficult to eat but exactly what I was expecting and wanting. The pasta took some time to come out, but that was fine. The sauce was like a pesto vodka sauce, very rich & filling, and also tasty. We were both only able to eat half of each dish since they were both large dishes. I believe they only serve pasta dishes on certain days, so if they have them on the menu, definitely consider ordering one of those. They seem to have sandwiches everyday. It's a pretty small place with a few tables & some bar type seating. It gets pretty busy around lunch time, so plan accordingly. We'll be back again to try other items!

Alyssa was all that and more, this is what table service should be like. Great job we will be asking for you again. Food 10/5 We ordered the zucchini which were served in a nice and little crisp batter. They were great. We ordered a salad which was large enough for sharing. The dressing was the perfect paring for all the wonderful ingredients. Entrees included an order of Egg plant parmigiana over pasta. Portions are generous. My entree was tonight's special, prime rib ragu also a generous portion. The prime rib was nicely incorporated in their linguine style pasta and with other fresh vegetables in a hearty an slightly sweet sauce like my own. This was a perfect recommendation by Alyssa thank- you I'd order this again. Desert was a large serving of crème brûlée. The topping was perfectly toasted giving it its crispy texture and smoky notes. We made reservations at Pizzicata in anticipation of both Valentine's Day and the need to re-carb after the event. We arrived at the host stand a few minutes before our reservation, but were told that there were no indoor tables available. If we wanted to be seated immediately, we'd have to accept an outdoor table, even though we had a reservation for indoor seating. We opted to wait because the weather was chilly by Arizona standards, and we were still recovering from the race. A couple of minutes later, another hostess approached us and asked whether we had reservations and were waiting. When we confirmed, she immediately left to find us a table, and we were seated very shortly afterwards. I thought very little of this until the owner came to our table and apologized for the issue. He was kind and sincere in his regret for the situation and was excited to tell us about the staff and the food. We were wildly appreciative of this attention to detail and service! We shared the potato croquettes, and they were everything I was hoping they'd be and more. (Light lore: I chose Pizzicata because I saw a picture of these croquettes on their online menu.) For dinner, my husband had the Travolta pizza, and I had the gnocchi gorgonzola. We both did that thing where we sat back in our chairs, breathed deeply, and declared, "oh dang, that's goooood." We were both so happy with our choices - I can't speak to the pizza, but that was some of the best gnocchi I've ever had. Pillowy soft in this perfectly nutty, cheesy, creamy sauce. *chef's kiss* For dessert, we shared the tiramisu, which was perfect in every way. If we weren't already walking funny because of the race, we'd have still waddled out of Pizzicata from happy fullness. The service, the food, the vibe - we're here for it and we'll be back the next time we're in Mesa.
