Been to Amici's three times now and I hate to say it, but I do think it was a little overhyped lol. That being said, it's still a great pizza spot! I just think when it first started getting popular, the 2 hour waits were a bit extreme. The pizza is good, but not "wait in line for hours" good I always get the vodka pizza and usually love it, but for some reason it tasted different this time, it felt less saucy than usual so I was a little bummed, especially because it was my first time bringing my friend here and it just wasn't tasting quite as I remember it. The Shirley Temple is always a must though! It's basically like any Shirley Temple you've had before, but honestly that's what makes it good. No need to fix something that's not broken! We also got the fried mushrooms which were just okay to me. I mostly enjoyed them dipped in ranch. My friend got the buffalo chicken pizza too, and while I'm personally not a huge fan of that kind of pizza, they seemed to really enjoy it! Note that we only got takeout for this review: in town from the Midwest and this was on the to do list due to the popularity online. Got a handful of things to try and even with the delivery things were great! Pizza was good for me- New Yorkish style with not as strong as an undercarriage but that's how i like it. Vodka pasta was everyone's personal favorites. Garlic knots also great!! Had the wings, lasagna and mozzarella sticks but none of those got anything raving said about them. My husband and I love the pizza. They make a great Sicilian crust and a traditional tossed pie. My mother in law is Sicilian and super fussy. She didn't have anything bad to say about the pizza. Unfortunately my partner and i did not enjoy this place. We were barely greeted at the door, the food was undercooked, and overall the experience was not pleasant. personally i felt like i wasn't welcome there and the whole interaction from ordering to waiting for our food was very awkward and uncomfortable. Not to mention for the $60 dollars we spent on two pizzas, they were poorly made, undercooked, and definitely not something i would go out of my way to get again. We recently met a friend here for lunch, and was surprised how busy it was. I know this place was trending online which explained why the crowd was so young. Our service was fast and friendly, and we got our food on time. Everything was just so - there was no stand out flavor or incredible crust. Even the Shirley Temple was fine. Had to stop by and try this viral spot!! Love the inside and the overall environment is it very home-y and welcoming. A great place to celebrate after a baseball game or even church. The service was good everyone was very friendly. I had to start with the Shirley and wow it was probably the best I've ever had. The food; pizza and wings are the stars here, we wanted to try a lot of different items so we could get a good idea of the menu. The sticks did not have the best cheese pull. Personally not my favorite. The pasta also was extremely simple. Good idea for someone picky. The sauce was fine slightly more elevated than a jar but not by much. This place is extremely popular- it was PACKED on the Friday night that we can in. It is also very small inside, with no outdoor dining options. We came in with a party of 11 to celebrate a birthday. *Please be warned that there are no reservation or call ahead options. We were given an estimated wait time of 30-45 minutes upon arrival. Once our party was finally called to be seated, the total wait time was 1 hr 10 minutes. There is also not much of a waiting area inside the restaurant, only 3 benches out front. We were disappointed to see several other large parties being seated ahead of us, when we arrived and put our name down first. Once we were finally seated, we ordered right away (we had plenty of time to scan the menu as we waited) and our food came out in a fair amount of time, considering how busy the place was & how big our party was. Our waiter was not the most attentive. I never got asked if I needed a refill on my water, and it would have been very difficult to ask him for a refill, because he was so preoccupied with everything else he was doing. We all enjoyed looking over into the kitchen area & watching the pizza crust be hand prepared. One thing that we did find a bit disturbing was that not everyone preparing food was wearing hair nets. For example, there was a man with a huge beard making dough, he did not have a net on his beard. All in all, the service was not good at all, there were some health concerns with beards not being netted, BUT the food was outstanding. Well worth the wait. The pricing was more than fair considering portion sizes & everything tasted fresh. For future reference, I would not bring a large party here. This is one of my go to spots for a slice of pizza. I usually order the two slice special but today I decided to go with one slice, side garden salad, and fountain drink for $10.50. My salad was huge. They have great lunch specials ranging from $7.50-$12.99. Pizza slices are always hot and cooked perfectly. Not soggy. Customer service is always a 10. This place is 100% worth the hype. My friend and I went around 3:30pm, which was in between lunch and dinner - PERFECT timing. I got the Shirley Temple, because I saw on social media that it's something to rave about, but honestly didn't taste any different than a regular Shirley Temple.
