TikTok made us do it! We were in town for a work event in Scottsdale, and the recommendation for delicious pizza with a crisp Shirley Temple is at Amici. If you're indecisive like me when it comes to pizza toppings, Amici has the perfect solution: their quartered 18" pizza is a dream come true. I went all in with barbecue chicken, buffalo chicken, Caesar salad, and vodka sauce--and every slice was a standout. The barbecue chicken had that smoky-sweet balance, the buffalo chicken brought the heat without overpowering, the Caesar salad pizza was surprisingly fresh and crisp (yes, salad on pizza works!), and the vodka slice was rich, creamy, and totally addictive. The crust was classic New York-style--thin, foldable, and just the right amount of chew. Service was quick, the vibe was casual, and the pizza? Worth every bite. Amici knows how to keep things interesting. I'll definitely be back to mix and match more combos! read more

I have been WAITING for the hype to die down a bit before trying since the wait times were astronomical and let me tell you it was worth the pining. Everything is so fresh and delish. The grandmas pizza is exquisite and I also tried the vodka pasta with the mozzarella knots as a starter. Everything was divine. The pasta was perfectly al dente. 10/10 will be back again. read more

Still coming here 3-4 times a year for take-out as it's the closest Italian place to my house. Food still average - nothing great. Best dishes in my opinion are the caprese salad, eggplant parm sub, and the white pizza. They get 4 stars. Everything else my family and I try is so-so. Service is really good. They quickly pick up the phone and take your order when you call for takeout, confirm your order and which of their 2 restaurant locations to pick up at before your hang up, and they get it right and on time when you pick it up. Would give 3.5 stars if I could. read more

I discovered this place from the one bite app. I didn't bother watching the video review by Dave Portnoy prior to going nor did I know that any tiktok videos. There was an hour wait. For a little pizza place in a plaza I was surprised. Waitress was awesome. The place has NY stuff everywhere. Most the staff had Yankees hats on. They were out of a few things we wanted to order. Keep in mind this was about 7pm on a Sunday. We started with Arancini. We got Italian Beef & Giardiniera, Spinach & Ricotta and Mac & Cheese. It was ok but I wouldn't get it again. Main course we got a large cheese pizza, lasagna and vodka penne with meatballs. The pizza was good but I was expecting more. Biggest gripe was the huge bubbles. I have never in my life had so many in a pizza. I worked at a few pizza joints in my day. Bubbles = bad. Were I am from this pizza would have never been served. The table next to ours gave me a slice of their pizza that had salad on it. Not my thing but I like the thinking outside the box. They were 86 prawns so we got meatballs instead. Meatballs were not good. How they make a red sauce as good as they yet the meatballs lack as much as they do is beyond me. Penne vodka was alright. Not a reorder. Lasagna was amazing. Hot all the way though and the sauce was perfect. Gooey melted cheese everywhere. Unfortunately it was very small. If it was twice the size I'd probably have to order it every week. In the end we were disappointed especially with the praise Dave gave this place. We may be back in the future. Get the lasagna. read more

It's been about a couple of months that I been here and I had a horrible experience I ordered a large cheese pizza and I asked for it well done extra crispy and when the pizza arrived to the table it looked very watery, but I didn't think anything of it until I picked up first slice and it was all mushy and soggy, the waiter didn't show up to my table until 20 minutes after and I told the waiter that I didn't like the pizza because it's soggy and she didn't care at all and didn't offer to make it right! So I paid 35 bucks and got up and left because I didn't want to cause a scene but horrible service and pizza isn't good no more! read more

Wings were really good. Pizza felt like it needed something. So I added ranch and it tasted better with ranch. Glad the pizza wasn't so thin. You can get pizza by the slice! The garlic knots were okay felt like it needed something too. Had to dip in the marina more. But liked how hot and fresh the garlic knots are.the mozzarella sticks are good. My brother got the Italian sub. read more

Amici has blown up on TikTok and we had to check it out. It's busy but the food was SO delicious!! We ordered honey bbq wings, Caesar salad, spaghetti with meatballs, vodka pasta with chicken and a cheese and a vodka slice of pizza. Oh and their famous Shirley temple. The vodka pizza, pasta and wings were the best!! The spaghetti and meatballs I would pass, nothing special along with the Caesar salad. The honey bbq wings had a great flavor and were so crisp! Service was really friendly, attentive and efficient even with every table packed and a line out the door. We will definitely be stopping in again! read more

Came here to crush and mission accomplished! I loved this place and our server was attentive and helpful of what to suggest for first timers. We started with fried ravioli and arancini, both were great but I'd want another bucket of arancini to go. We tried the Bolognese, mac & cheese and spinach and ricotta. I couldn't have a favorite with these. The calzone was a must try and the pizza was spectacular. I loved the Caesar salad pizza and the baciagaloop. Shirley temple's were exactly what they claim. read more

I'm always down for trying a new pizza place. We were aware that Amici has a lot of TikTok fame so coming on a Friday probably wasn't wise. The hostess advised us the wait would be about 20 minutes, then our super nice server warned us that pizzas might be a bit slow coming out. (They were! Amici has tons of people ordering take out.) Another worker came by during dinner to check on us and thanked us for our patience. Those little touches go a long way to show they care about the customers. So- the food. Amici has somehow made Shirley Temples famous. Everyone around us was ordering them so we caved in too. They're really just the overly sweet drinks that have been around for decades- lol- but they give you a nice big glass. We ordered the garlic knots with mozzarella. I thought they were decent but I'd hold the cheese next time. Another patron waiting with us recommended the Grandma Pizza (square pizza, mozzarella, fresh garlic, basil, marinara sauce) and I'm so glad we listened. I can't describe it properly. My husband and I took a bite, locked eyes and went "Mmm, yeah, oh- that's really good!" It's just that thing when the crust, cheese and seasonings are all working together just right and making you happy you came. We ordered a piece of the New York Crumb Cake to go also (imported from Queens). It was a solid dessert but nothing I'd order again. The spouse and I agreed that we'd make a trip back here, just maybe on a weekday. read more

I want to preface that I'm not a huge Pizza person. But if I have a good pizza I am typically impressed. What impressed me about this place is you can order one pizza and make it three different flavors. Which really helped, since we wanted to try multiple things but we all had different taste buds. We started off with the fried zucchini and mushroom appetizer as well as the garlic knots and the fried ravioli. The fried ravioli was probably our least favorite, the garlic knots were good and fluffy, and the zucchini and mushrooms were average. Our first thin crust pizza was pretty darn good. But it was so thin where we could not hold up the pizza and the moisture made most of it soggy, and I hate the feeling and taste of soggy Pizza. Good flavor though, oh and the dough! Our second pizza was the thick one. I loved how fluffy and great their dough tasted, but felt like they definitely skimped on the toppings and the cheese for the price. Bechamel lasagna was okay. I did appreciate their long peeled carrots in my salad though and the raspberry dressing was really good. Alot of the staff kept expoing to the wrong table (ours) which I thought was kind of funny because they don't have many tables in there. All in all, it was good pizza and a cute place, and apparently a great neighborhood joint. But I wouldn't drive 25 min here again. read more

We were finally in the area and able to try this pizza we here so much about. Upon entering it was packed but luckily they had some seats at the bar so we were able to sit immediately rather than wait 20 minutes. We were here at lunch time and decided to just get slices which we chose the pepperoni , Hawaiian and caeser salad as well as the grandma slice . Overall the pizza was great the pepperoni was nice and crispy and my daughter said she really liked the caeser salad pizza . The Grandma slice was good but I think a little too much garlic for me . It was great atmosphere and a really busy spot and as for the service everyone was so nice and helpful I will definitely be stopping in here to try some more food options. read more

Great pizza, service and affordable price. We go there often and they never disappoint.

I didn't know anything about this place, but my wife is much more plugged-in to social media than I am. Based on a recommendation from a customer who was waiting next to me, we ordered the Grandma pizza and 6 garlic knots with cheese. I figured getting big pizza for a few bucks more would ensure leftovers. Boy howdy... the big Grandma pizza is a square that is 18" on a side and we only ate 1/4 it in the restaurant. So, I had breakfast, lunch AND dinner. (16 roughly square slices about 4.5" on a side) The place was busy, both inside and via pick-up orders, so they let us know it would be a wait and gave a pretty accurate estimate of 20-25 minutes. Once we were seated, they let us know that the food would also take a bit longer due to all of the other orders. I appreciate the communication. Apparently, Shirley Temples are a thing here. (confused old guy). To see what the big deal was, we both decided to give it a shot. Wow. I don't think I drink that much sugar in a typical week! They're served in a large cup, glowing bright red, with ice and a cherry. If you REALLY like sweet... like you add sugar to Kool-Aid or thought Jolt cola was a good idea, you'll probably love it. I don't think I need to do that again, though. The knots were good and had a pile of melted cheese on them, but I probably don't need them next time. A Caesar salad seemed to be the more popular starter (to kill time while waiting for pizza) order at nearby tables. Noted. The Grandma pizza was great. It smelled amazing and the crust was crunchy on the edges and bottom with plenty of sauce and cheese on top and a generous amount of basil. It was simple but delicious. After a few pieces, I thought it was just a little on the salty side, but that may have been the sweet drink affecting me. I couldn't determine whether it was the crust, sauce, or cheese that was expressing the saltiness, so I'll blame Shirley. The next day, we reheated it in the oven and it was still good. Our waitress was great and attentive despite having a bunch of tables that were turning over pretty regularly and having to deal with the longer than usual (?) wait times. Another staff member came to our table to check on us and thank us for our patience, which was nice since it did take a while. I guess there's a lot of hype about this place and there were several people taking photos of their food. The pizza we had was very good, so we'll be back, though probably not on a weekend and hopefully when it is a little less busy. Our food was hot, the drinks were cold and service was great, even if everything took a little longer than usual. read more

Their pizza is quintessential New York style. Very good but one slice is not enough so if you get the lunch special you'll be disappointed if you only get one. Their wings were excellent. The service was great but the wait was very long to get a table. This place has exploded on social media so if you're hungry order ahead and get it to go. I'm posting pictures of what we had but most everything out of the kitchen look very good. The dining room and seating was bear bones casual so go for the food, not the atmosphere. We got the slice and wings and a drink lunch special. About $15 read more

Decent pizza and irs nice they have gluten free options. However when you order online there is no clear instructions on how to get a gf pizza. I had to call and ask to be told to just write it as a note. I really wish this would just be advertised online. The pasta was just okay nothing worth the price. Shirley Temple was good but I don't see how it's different than anywhere else. My husband did love the cannoli cale. read more

Stood in line starting at 10:30. We were first and then the line started to get long almost immediately. They seated us right at 11. The service was good and they were very nice. We ordered the Amici chicken balsamic, a calzone, garlic knots, mozzarella sticks and half buffalo chicken/ bbq chicken pizza. Consensus was that the buffalo chicken pizza was so much better. The mozzarella sticks and garlic knots were good and there was a good portion to share. What our group liked was the crust with f the pizza dough. Overall the food was good. The best part was the cannoli. We all said we would all come back just for that. It's a lot easier f hype, but the food was good and the service was great. Finally tried the viral pizza place. It was fine/ good but not necessarily spectacular- greasy pizza, crispy wings and motz sticks are always good. As stated pizza was greasy. Their ceaser salad pizza is a great and unique idea that was probably our favorite of the meal. The pepperoni was really really greasy. pizza was super fresh and you can see them spinning the dough from the bar. Wings were super crispy. The garlic parm wings had a lot of parm which kind of lost the garlic Shirley temple was good as well. Def a nice neighborhood pizza joint. read more

Came all the way up from Coolidge to try out this viral pizza place from TikTok. Armed with the knowledge that it can be a 3 hour wait, my friend and I arrived at 10am and were happy to be the first people in line! They opened at 11 sharp and we were seated immediately. The interior is pretty open seating, there was a long line by the time 11 rolled around and they seated nearly everyone right at the get go. All of the servers that we interacted with were super friendly and fast workers! The Shirley temple was really crisp and refreshing! I ordered a slice of meat, Hawaiian and the Works pizza. We also got the appetizers garlic knots and their Arancini with mac and cheese. The pizza crust is nice and soft, very delicious tasting, but I was disappointed at the lack of sauce and cheese on the actual pizza. The sauce is good, I just would've preferred a little more and cheese covering the toppings. The garlic knots were a 5/5 for sure and the Arancini, while fresh and hot were also amazing to taste. While the pizza itself was a little underwhelming--it wasn't bad at all! The slices are LOADED with toppings, they just have nothing keeping them in place. I would definitely recommend this pizza place to friends, BUT I personally would not wait 3 hours for this pizza. read more

A bit torn on this one. For starters, this is clearly a social media darling. We arrived at 11am on a Thursday - 22 minutes to check in and 69 minute wait for a table. So roughly 90 minute wait. The menu covers a lot of ground pizza, pasta, etc... we opted for a single slice of Sicilian deep dish and a full Square Grandma. Both were very good. The thick crust is lots of bread so not sure I would want a whole pizza of it, but the slice was good. The Square Grandma was somewhere in the middle of thick and thin crust. Also, quite tasty. The service is good, the decor is standard, and the pizza was good as well. Was it worth a 90 minute wait? I'll leave that for you to judge. read more

This place has blown up all over social media so even before coming here I knew it that would be busy. We were a party of four and we decided to stop in for dinner along with 50 other people... The line was out the door and the wait to dine in was about 45 minutes. We opted to stay and we were put on the list. The inside was a madhouse. There was really no organization as to what line was for what and the register area was very crowded so we waited outside. We did in fact end up waiting about 45 minutes and we were finally seated. The server was SO friendly from the start. She was definitely stressed out but she remained calm and nice. We ordered a lot of food because we were all starving. We ordered: One order of 12 mozzarella sticks One order of 12 medium wings One order of garlic knots with cheese One bowl of vodka pasta One house salad with ranch, no red peppers One XL pizza supreme 2 sodas, 2 waters One crème brulee cheesecake Total spent with tip: $140 The house salad came out first - wings - mozzarella sticks - garlic knots - pasta - pizza - cheesecake The food was all served one by one. Our favorites in order were the wings, then the garlic knots, then the mozzarella sticks, then the salad, the pasta, and last the pizza. The pizza wasn't our fave as it was not hot when served, it was cold. The wings were delicious as the medium sauce was really good and not at all vinegary. The knots were also really good as they were crispy and the cheese on top was gooey. The pasta was cooked perfectly - al dente, but the sauce had no flavor. Service was great. Our server had a few other tables she was manning along with having to deal with angry impatient customers but yet she still kept our drinks filled and checked on us a few times. Overall, we had a good experience here and I just want to say good job to the staff for handling this madhouse well. Thank you! read more

Bravo Fino Bravo! I see why people wait, next time we will. Omg the roll, it was delicious. I had mushroom, salami and extra cheese, with only one small dipping sauce. If you like dipping like I do, i forgot to order extra, worth it. Fried ravioli was tasty with and without dipping saucee. Also had hot chicken parmagian sandwich. It was good, juicy and flavorful. And of course we couldnt leave without a lemoncillo slice, it was silky, soft and spongy. I like lemoncillo cold, but warm was also good. The place was busy, i believe 45 minute wait, maybe longer. We ordered to pick up, 35 min time. Its nicely decorated, romantic style id say, clean and smells great. There is some seats in waiting area outside. So my daughter recommended this place from tiktok, and we are in town. My daughter comes back with food and says "Kateri is at front door taking reservations ", thats it! SMH. I was excited to try Amici pizza after seeing it all over social media! We got there around 5:30 pm on a Friday night, and had to wait till around 7 pm before eating. The wait was the only downside of this place! We started off with 3 appetizers- Cesar salad, calamari, and the mozzarella sticks. All very good and would recommend. They all were around 10 dollars, not too bad for a place that has gone viral! For our main dish the three of us decided to share a large "the works" pizza which is comparable to a supreme pizza, as well as a vodka pasta. Both were amazing and super flavorful. The pizza had a great crust and lots of toppings. We ended our meal with sharing a slice of cannoli cake, which was delightful! Overall a very good experience and would recommend going to anyone who wants to try out this viral sensation! PS- try a Shirley temple. They are delicious! read more

It's not the best pizza I've ever had and it's not the worst. It a good pizza spot, one that is worth a visit for someone trying new pizza places, as I was. I visited with two friends. We ordered a Large Cheese and Large Meat Lovers pizza, fries, 2 drinks, an antipasto salad and a tiramisu cake (that was to go). We arrived at 10:50a, they open at 11, and was 11th in line. Promptly at 11 they opened, we were sat immediately and order taken within 10 mins. The pizzas came put about 20 mins later. We were at a table for 4 however it wasn't big enough for all that food, we were crowded and had to get creative. The fries were good, reminded me of Rally's. The salad, I didn't care for, while they did give alot of mean, it was sandwich slices of the meat and provolone, thrown on some romaine lettuce, it was difficult to eat; they should slice up the meats, plus the bowl was tiny, it didn't allow for mixing, so I transferred to a plate. Now for the the pizza. The taste was on point however I am not a fan of soggy dough. I like a crispy dough and one that can hold the weight of the pizza toppings; theirs did not. The bottom half of the pizza slice flopped down amd toppings slide off; you have to eat with two hands. For all the food we paid $70+ tip. The place fills up fast and stayed packed for the hour we were there. read more

Kudos for nailing social media marketing and creating such a viral buzz. You can tell they are trying their best to keep up with that demand. Over the phone ordering and customer service were fairly straight forward. The food itself was sadly, just mediocre. We had a lot of ages trying the food- from little kids, teens, college kids, and adults. Everyone agreed it lacked flavor and originality. Obviously found my way here due to TikTok. Staff: A bunch of chillers living a normal life. Our server was great. The owner as we've all seen online is just as cute and sweet in person. Pizza: The caesar was everything you dreamed about and more 10/10. Grandma surprised me. Looked to be possibly mid, don't let that fool you. Some of the best red sauce I've had on a pizza 9.3/10. Buffalo was also great. Could've used a little more Buffalo sauce or spice, which we did 8.8/10. When it came to the BBQ chicken it was okay. Personally think some cilantro could really elevate it 7.3/10. Pasta: The vodka pasta was great. Didn't make my taste buds tingle only because it tastes very similar to the one I make at home. However, I wasn't disappointed it was solid. My only con was it was a bit chilly when it came out 8/10. We're all here for the pizza though don't forget it. Dessert: Our waiter recommended the cannoli cake when asked. I'm a server myself and noticed it was the highest priced dessert (wasn't even that much $$), so I thought maybe it was just an upsell. Although I was very wrong. I love a sweet treat and I'm pretty picky about them. This cake was a TEN. Dare to say the best dessert I've ever had out and about. Overall: This place is great! Highly recommend! Not to mention a bang for your buck. Get that flippin cannoli cake no matter how full you are. read more

This was our second time eating at Amici Pizza, and it won't be our last. This place is not fancy, but the pizza and wings are really good. It's a very simple dining room with some some framed pictures of New York and a collection of those wooden pizza paddle things carved with different baseball teams logos. We ordered medium wings which had the perfect amount of heat. They are nice big and juicy wings, not some of the little tiny wings you get some places. They were really good! Finally, I got to try Amici last night. I've seen many great reviews for close to a year but it a little over a half hour from me. Then I saw their sign as I drove past for an appointment. Luckily it let out right before close. Checked out the menu and just ordered a pizza I love. Meatball & ricotta- so glad I did. If I knew I would have taken a picture before. The pizza tasted so good! Dough, crust, toppings! I'm nervous to try the Queen Creek location I had no idea about- it's closer but this was so yummy. The staff were super kind as well, No refusal of service so close to closing time. You guys were great. To be fair; normally I wouldn't want to put an order in so close to closing. But the fact that I never had the opportunity to try them before makes me even happier to return because I know they were so nice. It's a cute little restaurant with a family feel inside and they serve Pepsi products which is A++ with pizza! Can't wait to have Amici again! Thanks so much read more

I can't tell you how many times I've passed this place. I visit the Goodwill in the shopping center it's located in, A LOT. It was thanks to a family friend that we made our first visit to Amici pizza. Our first order was to go and my husband picked it up so I did not get to see the inside. We ordered a margarita pizza and a vodka pie. The margarita was delicious, but we did not care for the sliced tomatoes on it. But the vodka pie. How have I been sleeping on this!? The vodka pie is wildly delicious. And when I say wildly delicious, I mean we've been going about one to two times a week since our first visit and only ordering the vodka pie. The sauce is sooo good and we eat every piece, including the crust. Since that first visit, I have been inside. Even though it's not fancy or anything to write home about, it's very clean and gives a good neighborhood pizza joint vibe. The staff is always very friendly and we would be happy to eat in the restaurant or at home. This is a MUST try restaurant! read more
