One of the sweetest souls took me here for a lunch date one day to surprise me with this ALL gluten free menu! I almost immediately cried. So I have returned with my husband a few times since (he isn't GF) and we both love it. The breads are delicious. Their hummus is not like any others (I could probably eat a gallon of it)... they're drinks are unique and gorgeous... but... Green goddess salad with THE SALMON is my FAV (sooo goooood)!!! This restaurant is phenomenal! We were so excited to find a place that offered ALL gluten free options as my stepson is very sensitive to even a non gluten dish being cooked in the same oil. There's one pizza crust on the menu that isn't gluten free, but they assured us that it was cooked in a different oven. He was so excited about such a broad menu, that he asked to try every single one of our dishes worry free. Bad service and worst management. Went with family, ordered 3 pizzas and one of them on cauliflower crust. After a 45min wait they brought the food and got the cauliflower pizza wrong. When I asked how long will it take to fix it the waitress said it will take a longer time. Didn't offer to expedite or if I wanted anything else. Nothing. 3 min later she came back and said the manager was sorry and threw some coupons on the table for next time . Next time!!!??? Not even a discount on our current bill for the wait or the food mess up. That was it. The manager never showed up at the table to apologize, in fact, never saw her. Worst of all through the 45 min wait only saw the waitress once and was just to let us know that there too many online orders. Didn't offer more drinks or anything. So apparently this location prioritizes online orders and rather leave the guests waiting. This was one of my favorite places. Completely disappointed. read more

Cute little complex, with a great sized patio with heaters and coolers, depending on the time of year. Very cute dining aesthetic and bar area as well. (The bar has two tvs with one being fairly small, but hey it's a small bar area) espresso martinis were expertly made by our awesome waitress and bartender Jamie. she was very attentive and sweet. They had an extensive vegan menu that also sounded delicious! Even dessert cocktails! 10/10 will be back. They have an app to download for points easy to use as well. I've been to the other Picazzo's on Warner rd. This place impressed me as much. Here healthy equates with tastes good. I ordered the pesto ravioli. This consists of five cheese ravioli , pesto sauce , goat cheese , pumpkin seeds , and diced Roma tomatoes. I also ordered the tomato basil soup I love so much. My order was out quickly. The ravioli was tender but not mushy, and was filled with an amazing blend of cheeses all melted together. They were all swimming in pesto sauce which had a good garlic-pesto flavor. The tomato soup was delicious and creamy as always. I love the sweetness and the faint bite it has. I'll be back next time to try their mac & cheese with that tomato soup. read more

Who says healthy food has to be boring? Stopped in on a Sunday for lunch with friends. We were seated right away and our server was by to get our drink orders. After reviewing the menu, I decided on the pesto ravioli with a cup of tomato basil soup. Shortly after ordering out came the soup which was smooth and delicious with a bit of a tang to it. The ravioli was tender and filled with soft cheese, it was topped with pesto sauce, pumpkin seeds and diced Roma tomatoes. LETS DO A HONEST REVIEW..... The restaurant is beautiful. It was very inviting. On a cool evening you feel cozy sitting down and relaxing. Food- The best part of the meal was the White Bean soup. It was very well made with great flavor. After that it was average. Over priced for the quality you get. Pizza could have been really good and to be honest it would have been but all the pizzas at our table were Burnt. Well truthfully mine was burnt on one side. Clearly not rotating pizza and screening it properly. The Mac N Cheese was nasty. Noodles does a far better job. That should just be removed from the menu. Greens are greens. Service- The lady that served us was a wonderful young lady. Super polite and pretty attentive. Until we paid the bill. Then she never came to the table again. That was disappointing. Overall it was ok. I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. With that said if you do want a Healthier choice for Italian food and keep a modest expectation then by all means I definitely have had worse Italian like Babbos. First time here, and it was amazing! Decided to try this place as we are transitioning to gluten-free. Everything tasted so good and wasn't bland at all. The pizza was cheesy and wasn't too saucy, which is my preference. The wings were incredible, the buffalo had a kick but packed with tons of flavor. The lasagna was also flavorful, cheesy, and meaty! This place is a gem especially for those of us who can't eat gluten or dairy. After recently finding out this was my new diet I was a bit devastated for wating out until we tried this place! They have a giant selection of vegan foods including appetizers, pastas, pizza and more! Plus everything we saw was gluten free and you could substitute dairy free cheese with out a crazy additional cost!!! They have a killer healthy hour every day from 3-6 of cheaper drinks and apps, like a sangria or meatballs! Plus on Saturday nights it was half off wine bottles! Place was packed of families so I do wish small parties could make a reservation but luckily we found a spot at the bar. Who could say no to half off a bottle of chianti wine! My favorite! We tried the meatballs and spaghetti, which made eout of turkey isn't as decadent but still tasty and healthier. I tried the chicken parmesean with dairy free cheese! It was GIANT! Served with delicous veggies I appreciate it wasn't bad for being gluten free and the dairy free cheese was better than most! We also had the foccacia, while I would better describe it as a flakey brioche gluten free bread ir was so good compared to other gluten free breads! Picazzo's has always been a family favorite! We used to drive all the way to Tempe because that was the closest location. So we were thrilled when we found out a Gilbert location was opening. I'm sad to say but the last few times we have been here have all been huge disappointments, the last 2 being there worst. We have decided we will no longer frequent this location. This most recent time, our daughter's pizza was incorrect & they still charged us for the additional topping. We waited almost an hour for our food after we ordered it. The pumpkin seeds on my ravioli were burnt along with the half loaf of focaccia. The time before this, we ordered take out. Upon arriving 1 of 2 pizzas were done. The other was never made & the hostess made it seem like it was still cooking...for 20 mins. The let my first pizza sit out and get room temp while waiting for my second pizza. After getting home, I open the second pizza box and realized they made it on wheat crust. I specifically asked for gluten free and confirmed due to a allergy. The manager spoke to me, offered to credit our account with points for a free pizza next time, which was nice but I'm still out the money & a dinner. I asked him to refund it and he did, so I am appreciative of that. Overall, this Picazzo's is lack luster & in need of some major improvements. read more

We had dinner with 2 friends. The staff was pleasant and the place was full on a Saturday night. We ordered apps, drinks and dinner. Our friends did not comment on the food, but my husbands pesto pasta dish was off. We should have sent int back, but did not want to be a buzz kill. He only ate part of it at dinner. We brought it home thinking may it might get better the next day, the next day we opened the container and was shocked by the garlic overtaking the pasta. It was inedible. The hummus app was fine, but the artichoke app was way too salty.. My gin and tonic was made with a poor quality tonic water and tasted gross. I did not drink that either. In the past we have always gone to the Tempe location and will stick to that in the future. Hopefully it was just an off night in the kitchen bc we like the chain. read more

Visiting from Utah, I wanted to come back to my hometown and try out a new place I've never visited before. My old friend from high school and I decided to go to Picazzo's Healthy Italian Kitchen and were eager to see what this place had to offer and it certainly did not disappoint! As someone who loves cooking from home, and works out religiously, it's hard to find a good restaurant that has great alternative options for foods I crave. Service was excellent and the food was outstanding! Our server was very friendly and had no complaints at all. I gave our server a $50 tip, which is something I never do! I highly recommend management do some quality assurance on the pizza because there is no way what we ate tonight is acceptable to the owners of this place. We ordered 3 pizzas. The mushroom pizza was not good. Crust was cardboard and it had so much dusted flour all over the crust and the bottom it was hard to eat. Elote had good flavor but again the crust was the same as above. Why do they need to put raw flour all over it? The hot honey prosciutto was disgusting. My wife and I love sweet and savory style pizzas like this but they went way overboard with the jam or whatever was on there it was awful... we either have to throw away the pizza or scrap off all the ingredients and add our own. Only giving this place 2 stars because I like that they have a menu for all different dietary restrictions. read more

What a surprise walking into Picazzo's to find a bright, fresh modernist vibe tucked into this corner strip mall location! You wouldn't guess from the outside that the atmosphere inside is cheery and welcoming. Loved how the space has a mix of split table/booths & round tables seating up to 7 people. Excellent place for a large family or group. I went here on a Friday date night with my husband & we sat at the bar and managed to get a couple of drinks in before HH ended. The bartender was friendly & courteous with mentioning getting in that 2nd cocktail/wine before 6pm. Hooray! We ordered the baked Brie as an app which came with some figgy jam, roasted garlic cloves & thick toast. So good! Decided to have the Italian chopped salad while we waited for our Vortex pizza to bake. The salad was ok, nothing notably special other than its freshness.
