The vibes are lively both inside and outside of the restaurant. The inside has a dark and moody feel. We came on a Friday night at 7:30pm and waited ~ 15- 20 minutes for a table for 3 people. We ordered the following appetizers: Cauliflower Tahina $12 and they were delicious. I recommend. The flavor was on point. I would order again. Humble Bistro has a warm and inviting atmosphere and is definitely a beautiful space. The décor feels cozy and upscale, which made us excited to try it. Unfortunately, the loud music inside really did not match the relaxed vibe of the restaurant. After hearing it while waiting for our food, I was honestly glad we decided to do carry out because it would have taken away from the dining experience. We ordered Shirley Temples, but although they were on our ticket, they somehow did not come out with the rest of the order. We had to ask for them and ended up waiting about another 10 minutes. Thankfully, they were worth the wait -- refreshing, flavorful, and probably one of the highlights of the meal. For food, we ordered the Humble Lasagna, the This Lil' Figgy pizza, and the Classy Girl pie with pepperoni. The lasagna was disappointing because the cheese completely overwhelmed the pasta, sauce, and overall flavor, making it hard to taste much else. The pizza and bruschetta were just okay. Nothing terrible, but nothing especially memorable either. Overall, we left feeling mixed. We like going to this quaint little French flare bistro. On our most recent trip, we were greeted by the sweetest hostess. Her name was Lily. She was very friendly and kind! We had the maximus pizza. I love the crust on this pizza. It's not too chewy and not too soft. It's just the right consistency. I like to dip it in the chili honey sauce. This pizza was topped with Imported Grande pepperoni, capicola & house talian sausage with their 3 cheese blend. We didn't have it on this visit, but we also really enjoyed the gentleman pizza. I love EVERYTHING about this place! The atmosphere and music create a romantic vibe that allows you to soak up and savor an evening together with your loved one! I am gluten intolerant, but can usually do a good sourdough bread, and theres was DELICIOUS and of very high grade! I had no gluten reaction whatsoever. We went for an early dinner around 4 and sat on the patio so it wasn't too busy when we got there but definitely filled up by the time we left. Been wanting to try this spot for a while and finally made it in on a Saturday afternoon. Plenty of parking, greeted and seated promptly for a party of 2 without reservations. The Italian Paloma was very grapefruit forward, refreshing but more bitter than expected. The Not So Humble Caesar Salad was delish! My husband hates veggies but he actually liked this and kept coming back for more Crispy Brussels. The Smorgasboard was yummy too with a great balance of flavors and literally a smorgasbord with a little bit of everything. The bread was light and perfect as a vessel or even just by itself. There is a large patio with seating outside, an me inside had a combination of banquettes and tables. There is a bar along one wall. Our server was great--friendly and attentive. My review for this establishment is neutral. The food and drinks were tasty. The atmosphere was classy and moody. The music was extremely loud. It was a bit hard to have a conversation. The service was a bit odd which is why I didn't give more stars. When I asked our server if he preferred the white or the red sangria he didn't speak on either. He suggested the Rosé. I personally don't like rosé which is why it wasn't one of them options I asked him to speak on. I ended up getting the red and it was delicious! It was shortly after we got our food that someone just walked up to us and asked if we were done with our food. When we said no, a girl came up to us probably 5 mins later asking us if we wanted boxes for our food. We said no, we were taking our time and breathing as we were trying to enjoy our dinner. Another girl came up and asked if she could clear our table and yet we still were eating. Once we were finally done and told them to take our plates our server came up with check in hand and asked if we needed anything else. I asked if they had a dessert menu. And I quote "Yes we do." And we just stared at each other. So I finally asked him if he was going to tell me the options or if he could get me a menu. I think this is the second time I've been here. Today I got the carne benny. It was delicious! A little spicy but very tasty! The potatoes were soft (I prefer crispy) but a nice complement to the spicy Benedict. I also got the big bun. Also delicious! Comes with 2 cinnamon rolls and a large dollop of marscapone. I only finished one roll because I was stuffed. I arrived at noon and it wasn't crowded at all. Unfortunately good food takes a long time so I was waiting about 30 minutes for my lunch . I went to Humble Bistro on a Friday night and only had to wait about 20 minutes! We sat outside and the atmosphere was so cozy (thanks to the heaters). For starters I ordered the fries. They were yummy but honestly, nothing crazy. I enjoyed the green sauce (jalapeno ranch?) the best. My boyfriend ordered the short rib pappardelle and it was AMAZING! The short rib was cooked wonderfully. If you are a superfan of mushrooms (not me), definitely order the cremini sacchetti. The pasta was delicious and creamy. This was my first time visiting Humble Bistro in Gilbert. It was a very nice experience. The strangest thing that really stands out is, that they have nothing hot to drink. They have no coffee ,no tea ,not even hot water. Only cold drinks. I thought that was quite odd. Anyway, we ordered the meat charcuterie board. There are two boards to choose from. At $34 it was very delicious and came with some wonderful sourdough pita bread. Everything was very nicely presented. although we did not get any serving utensil for the on the board. I don't know if that's normal, but it made it difficult to serve up some of the items unless directly off the board. There was a chorizo on the board that neither one of us cared for, but other than that everything was completely delicious. It's an ample board for multiple people. We ended up by having a lot left over to take home. it was not very busy when we came in. However, we had to ask for refills of drinks, and we had to ask the check. I would say from the board being so good that the rest of the menu is probably quite good. My friend has been there several times. She told me it's always very good food. All in all it was a very nice experience. It's really decorated lovely, and the bathroom is very charming with little flower tiles on the floor. It's really worth checking out. The seating is always tight for a party of 7 or more. They play really good music. Our server tonight (Tuesday 2/24/26 sitting outside) is a bit blah. She has no personality and when she decides to come to the table she doesn't take all the empty plates- mind you there is hardly any room on the table because the space is so tight so we could definitely use to have plates and cups removed for our appetizers and beverages. We've had to tell her 3x to take the excess dishes as she's walking away. Given her grace, for all I know, she's new but this is my feedback for the Yelp review. We got here at 6p, took roughly an hour to get our food , it's taken a while to get the drinks and the food. It's also not busy at all here. This go round, the food is very inconsistent. Does not taste the same as last time. The fries came out cold and over cooked (not happy with that since we all got humble fries as an add-on and it was an additional $3 dollar charge ) No drink refills unless we asked. I have been here on one other occasion, with my small dog in a stroller and we were sat outside. Great staff and food. I had friends from out of town and opted to take them here with my pet. We were led outside to be seated, when the "manager" on the floor (3/1/2025) followed and indicated they would lose their license if they sat us outside. I want to be clear that there were no patrons outside at all. I finally had a chance to look at their Yelp listing and it plainly indicates "Pets Allowed"!!! This is truly upsetting, not to mention embarrassing to my guests. I opted to take them to Bourbon & Bones and the staff and manager were on top of their game. So disappointed in Humble! We made it based on a review from a fellow Yelper thx! Today visit is lunch for two. First impressions upon entering was the warm upscale atmosphere and classy Jazz playing. Portions were large enough to order one and split it. Then to our main course, my wife ordered the Brussels sprouts and I had the Lasagna. The Brussels sprouts were deconstructed to a nice leafy salad and charred perfectly. It had jalapeños, bacon pieces what appeared to be pinion nuts, purple onions shavings that I wanted to steal from my wife. My lasagna was good although I expected to find sausage and I didn't notice any. It was good but next trip I'll give one of their pies a try. For dessert my wife ordered the crème brûlée which was small but tasty with the right amount of caramelized crunch. My less than perfect score is based on the Lasagna lacking sausage.
