We like going to this quaint little French flare bistro. On our most recent trip, we were greeted by the sweetest hostess. Her name was Lily. She was very friendly and kind! We had the maximus pizza. I love the crust on this pizza. It's not too chewy and not too soft. It's just the right consistency. I like to dip it in the chili honey sauce. This pizza was topped with Imported Grande pepperoni, capicola & house talian sausage with their 3 cheese blend. We didn't have it on this visit, but we also really enjoyed the gentleman pizza. We also get the humble wings which are accompanied by three different sauces. It's great cause you never have to choose just one. The three sauces are buffalo, spicy Korean and chili honey. I love all of the sauces, but I have to say I enjoy mixing the spicy Korean and the chili honey together.

This is my second time and the atmosphere is amazing, very moody and elegant. Our waitress was kind and attentive. I am giving this a generous 4 stars because the food was good but I'm not sure why I'm not a fan. I feel like the dishes need a little more flavor possibly? I had the Cajun Chicken Alfredo and my friend ordered the Cremini Sacchetti. Both of our takes were it just needed something more. We also ordered the Forno bread with Alfredo and marinara to dip with which was good.

Have been wanting to check out Humble Bistro for a while and bummed it took me so long to get here. We came for a Sunday lunch and the restaurant was busy and lively. We enjoyed the humble fries these were delicious, I loved the salad and the crispy Brussel sprouts were so tasty. Will definitely be back to try some other menu items.

I had seen this place pop up a few times on social media and it was on my list of places to try for a solid year. We finally got around to going and I can't believe I waited this long to try. Everything we got was amazing!! We ended up ordering server suggestions-- the Brussels spouts, fig flatbread and a pasta. We loved every single one of them!! The vibe was also really nice. We went for an early dinner around 4 and sat on the patio so it wasn't too busy when we got there but definitely filled up by the time we left. Don't have any complaints really, aside from the service which wasn't necessarily bad- just not great either. Our servers seem to be really preoccupied or maybe just not having the best day, but it didn't affect our experience at all. We would definitely go back!

Not So Humble Caesar Salad

Been wanting to try this spot for a while and finally made it in on a Saturday afternoon. Plenty of parking, greeted and seated promptly for a party of 2 without reservations. The Italian Paloma was very grapefruit forward, refreshing but more bitter than expected. The Not So Humble Caesar Salad was delish! My husband hates veggies but he actually liked this and kept coming back for more Crispy Brussels. The Smorgasboard was yummy too with a great balance of flavors and literally a smorgasbord with a little bit of everything. The bread was light and perfect as a vessel or even just by itself. We also ordered wings which were just okay and we probably would've been fine without. Service was great and it was a perfect spot for an impromptu day date for lunch!

I've been wanting to try this place for a while and finally did it today. I have no idea what took me so long to get here. I ordered a gentleman's pizza and it was phenomenal. My colleague ordered a Caesar salad salad with shrimp that looked amazing. She said it was awesome. The ambience was really nice like music playing in the background with amazing light fixtures. Cannot wait to come back to this place and try something different.

I absolutely love this place! It's so cute and cozy inside and the bar area is great. The service can be so so depending on who you get though. Our last server was nickel and diming us charged for side of oil and charged for side of vinegar!! My favorite drink is the No Way Rose it has a little topper of frozen Frose and mixed berries...it's so good! We ordered the Shrimp Appetizer and even though the shrimp are like small frozen shrimp, this app is still phenomenal due to the amazing sauce and bread. We keep our plate to dip out pizza crust in the sauce! I want that sauce on everything!! The Gentlemen Pizza is the best and a must! They do have a happy hour with some great deals on there. Plan to try the charcuterie and wine for just $29 next time we go. Definitely will keep going back here. I just love it!

This Gilbert bistro is a little gem. With lots of wine bottles and crates as decor, it has a dark-ish, charming feel to it. There is a large patio with seating outside, an me inside had a combination of banquettes and tables. There is a bar along one wall. Our server was great--friendly and attentive. We ordered the Red Before Bed froze' and the carbonade, both wine based drinks. Both were very yummy! We shared a Humble Caesar salad and a Maximus pizza. The salad was not like a typical Caesar salad-- it has lots of crispy charged brussel sprouts and a 7-minutes egg. It's was delicious! The pizza had capicola, Italian sausage, and pepperoni. It was also delicious. Everything was good here. We've been here before and will be here again.

Would be a great date spot! I was surprised by how beautifully decorated the inside is. Humble Bistro has dark interiors with moody lighting and decor. The bruschettas were delicious. Nice crust and delicious toppings. They were more so fancy pizzas. Pretty filling for an individual, yet can double as a shareable. Top is the Kosher (salmon) and bottom is the shrimp and pesto

Sangria

My review for this establishment is neutral. The food and drinks were tasty. The atmosphere was classy and moody. The music was extremely loud. It was a bit hard to have a conversation. The service was a bit odd which is why I didn't give more stars. When I asked our server if he preferred the white or the red sangria he didn't speak on either. He suggested the Rosé. I personally don't like rosé which is why it wasn't one of them options I asked him to speak on. I ended up getting the red and it was delicious! It was shortly after we got our food that someone just walked up to us and asked if we were done with our food. When we said no, a girl came up to us probably 5 mins later asking us if we wanted boxes for our food. We said no, we were taking our time and breathing as we were trying to enjoy our dinner. Another girl came up and asked if she could clear our table and yet we still were eating. Once we were finally done and told them to take our plates our server came up with check in hand and asked if we needed anything else. I asked if they had a dessert menu. And I quote "Yes we do." And we just stared at each other. So I finally asked him if he was going to tell me the options or if he could get me a menu. Overall: Food: 10/10 Drinks: 10/10 Service: 2/10 Dessert: 2/10 (the cream brûlée was bland) Ambiance: 6/10

I love EVERYTHING about this place! The atmosphere and music create a romantic vibe that allows you to soak up and savor an evening together with your loved one! I am gluten intolerant, but can usually do a good sourdough bread, and theres was DELICIOUS and of very high grade! I had no gluten reaction whatsoever. We shared The Gentleman Pizza and it was a delightful combo of sweet and savory (** insert chef's kiss)! We also shared their Caesar and Jalapeno Hummus with GF pizza crust. Both were heavenly! I especially loved the Brussels on top of the Caesar--such an unexpected treat! Their "Not so humble fries" were absolutely incredible, as well! They may be humble, but their flavors scream from the rooftop just how masterful they are!

Carne Benny.

I think this is the second time I've been here. Today I got the carne benny. It was delicious! A little spicy but very tasty! The potatoes were soft (I prefer crispy) but a nice complement to the spicy Benedict. I also got the big bun. Also delicious! Comes with 2 cinnamon rolls and a large dollop of marscapone. I only finished one roll because I was stuffed. I arrived at noon and it wasn't crowded at all. Unfortunately good food takes a long time so I was waiting about 30 minutes for my lunch . I don't know if that's common or not. But it is a nice restaurant and the staff was friendly and helpful.

Brownie dessert

Cute, Cocktails A+, Dessert Needs Therapy Humble Bistro understood the assignment when it came to vibes. Ambience was a full 10 out of 10. Low lighting, cozy, effortlessly chic. The kind of place where everyone looks hot without trying and suddenly you're sitting up straighter. Cocktails were solid across the board. The Old Fashion was especially good, balanced and confident, like it knew who it was. No notes there. Food was... a mixed personality. Overall I'd give it about a 3.8. The short rib grilled cheese was the star, easy 8 out of 10, rich and comforting and doing exactly what it promised. The Cajun chicken pasta, however, was a little shy. Around a 5.5 out of 10. Slightly bland and begging for just a bit more seasoning and commitment. Then dessert happened. We ordered the warm brownie with ice cream and what arrived felt like a betrayal. Dry chocolate cake energy with freezer burned ice cream that had clearly been through something. Hard no. Do not recommend unless you enjoy disappointment served cold. That said, the place is cute, the vibes are right, and the food was good enough that I'd absolutely give it another shot. Just sticking to cocktails and skipping dessert next time. Still rooting for her.

Do they have tvs?

Not that I remember! None at the bar, for sure.

Do you have happy hour?

They have a small happy hour menu at the bottom of their main menu....they refer to it as "Social Hour" and it's everyday until 5pm: https://www.humblebistro.com/menu/

How long would I wait for a party of four on a Friday or Saturday at 5:30? I'm just looking for an estimate since you don't take reservations.

About 20-25 minutes

We've been here numerous times, and not once have we had a bad experience. From the hosts to the servers, bartenders, and management--everyone is consistently welcoming, attentive, and professional. It's the kind of place that makes you feel taken care of without being over the top. One thing I really appreciate is how well they handle all types of dining. Whether you're stopping in for a quick slice at the counter, sitting down for a full meal, or grabbing something to go, they always have a wide variety of fresh slices ready. There's never a shortage of options, which makes it easy to try something new--or stick with your favorites. Lately, I've been loving the chicken Caesar slice and the chicken carbonara slice--both packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. I had my eye on their taco slice this time, but ended up going with my go-to: the Chicken Francese. I always add artichokes and capers and have it served over spinach, and it's phenomenal every single time. It's one of those dishes you just don't mess with. We started the table with calamari, garlic knots, and arancini--everything came out hot, fresh, and exactly what you want from classic Italian starters. My son ordered the antipasto salad with added chicken, which was a great portion (especially for an active teen) and full of fresh ingredients. We also grabbed a couple of slices, including pepperoni--because honestly, why mess with perfection? It's always solid. Sal's is just one of those places you can count on. Great food, great service, and a welcoming atmosphere every time. It's definitely in our regular rotation--and for good reason.

I've been coming here since I moved here from NYC. I'm from New York City, and let me tell you something finding a real New York slice in Phoenix isn't easy. Sal's is the real deal. The crust, the sauce, the fold it's right. Sal himself? Hard-working guy. You can taste when someone cares about what comes out of that oven. And the waitress yesterday I'm sorry I don't remember her name she was fantastic. On top of everything, friendly, patient with seven of us ordering like we hadn't eaten in a week. Today, I noticed I had reward points expiring and enough for a free entrée, so I placed our order through the app as usual without any issues. When I arrived, there were dirty dishes left on the patio tables, which had attracted birds. Inside the restaurant, no employees were visible at first aside from the cook, who greeted me from behind the counter when I mentioned I was there for a to-go pickup. After waiting a few minutes, another employee approached to assist me, and shortly after, a third employee came out of the restroom and handed me my order. I noticed that a side of cheese sauce was missing and mentioned it. I was told that because I had included it in the order notes, it did not guarantee it would be provided and that I would need to be charged separately for it. This was surprising, as I place this same order--including the side of cheese sauce--regularly and have never been told this before. As I left, I again pointed out the dirty dishes tables, as birds were still actively picking at the leftover food. At the time, there was only one other party dining in, and it was disappointing to see the tables left unattended.

She immediately told us the kitchen would be closing in 10 minutes (we arrived at 7:19 and they close at 8), which already made the experience feel a bit rushed. We ordered a deep dish pepperoni and sausage pizza, a Caesar salad, fries, and water. The salad and fries came out quickly and were good, but we waited until 7:52 for the pizza. During that time, several staff members including what seemed to be a manager, were loudly yelling back and forth across the restaurant about staffing and schedules. With no music or TV volume, it was impossible not to hear, and it felt very unprofessional. Meanwhile, our water glasses sat empty. I had to ask three separate times for refills, and the third time I actually had to get up and find our server at the bar, where she was sitting, still discussing the schedule. When the pizza finally arrived, it was delicious. But basic things like Parmesan and pepper weren't offered. I had to flag someone down to ask. And even though we'd just received our food, the lights on the patio were turned off while we were eating, and we were brought a box very quickly, which felt like a not-so-subtle hint to leave. Overall, the food was good, but the customer service and atmosphere really took away from what should have been a nice birthday dinner for my daughter. Very disappointing experience.

The shrimp were perfectly cooked and packed with flavor -- such a yummy way to kick things off! Once inside, service felt disorganized. Salads arrived while appetizer plates were still on the table, and several dishes came out cold. Calamari was okay, garlic knots okay. My son's Caesar salad arrived without chicken, and my other son's pizza also came out cold and in the shape of a pizza peel. Not sure if this is meant to be creative but it does cut down on quality of pizza and taste. Also costs the establishment less. The manager offered a slice of pizza - we accepted. It arrived much later and went uneaten, due to it being a slice of focaccia with melted cheese on top and 2 slices of pepperoni. yet we were initially charged $10 for it (it was removed when we asked). Our server was kind and apologetic throughout, but overall there seemed to be little coordination between staff and kitchen, and no manager checked in despite multiple issues.
