The vibes are lively both inside and outside of the restaurant. The inside has a dark and moody feel. We came on a Friday night at 7:30pm and waited ~ 15- 20 minutes for a table for 3 people. We ordered the following appetizers: Cauliflower Tahina $12 and they were delicious. I recommend. The flavor was on point. I would order again. Not so Humble Brussels $13 and they were okay, it needed a thicker balsamic sauce. I would not order again. Dishes: Humble Caesar Salad $14 Added Shrimp for $6 The salad is a good portion. It filled me up. The jalapeño caesar tied in nicely with the romaine, brusssels,parmesan & pecorino cheese and the egg. It would still taste great without the shrimp. Humble Bistro has a warm and inviting atmosphere and is definitely a beautiful space. The décor feels cozy and upscale, which made us excited to try it. Unfortunately, the loud music inside really did not match the relaxed vibe of the restaurant. After hearing it while waiting for our food, I was honestly glad we decided to do carry out because it would have taken away from the dining experience. We ordered Shirley Temples, but although they were on our ticket, they somehow did not come out with the rest of the order. We had to ask for them and ended up waiting about another 10 minutes. Thankfully, they were worth the wait -- refreshing, flavorful, and probably one of the highlights of the meal. For food, we ordered the Humble Lasagna, the This Lil' Figgy pizza, and the Classy Girl pie with pepperoni. The lasagna was disappointing because the cheese completely overwhelmed the pasta, sauce, and overall flavor, making it hard to taste much else. The pizza and bruschetta were just okay. Nothing terrible, but nothing especially memorable either. Overall, we left feeling mixed. We like going to this quaint little French flare bistro. On our most recent trip, we were greeted by the sweetest hostess. Her name was Lily. She was very friendly and kind! We had the maximus pizza. I love the crust on this pizza. It's not too chewy and not too soft. It's just the right consistency. I like to dip it in the chili honey sauce. This pizza was topped with Imported Grande pepperoni, capicola & house talian sausage with their 3 cheese blend. We didn't have it on this visit, but we also really enjoyed the gentleman pizza. We also get the humble wings which are accompanied by three different sauces. It's great cause you never have to choose just one. The three sauces are buffalo, spicy Korean and chili honey. I am gluten intolerant, but can usually do a good sourdough bread, and theres was DELICIOUS and of very high grade! I had no gluten reaction whatsoever. We came here to celebrate our birthday and had a party of 8. We were quoted an hour. We waited a half an hour past our time frame and asked for a manager. There was a bigger party who had their checks -and boxes for awhile at this point. The manager had said they just got their checks which was false because I was watching the entire time. We had asked if we could sit at two four tops sitting right next to each other and she said there are other people waiting but we were 30 min past our quote time. I had seen this place pop up a few times on social media and it was on my list of places to try for a solid year. We finally got around to going and I can't believe I waited this long to try. Everything we got was amazing!! We ended up ordering server suggestions-- the Brussels spouts, fig flatbread and a pasta. We loved every single one of them!! The vibe was also really nice. We went for an early dinner around 4 and sat on the patio so it wasn't too busy when we got there but definitely filled up by the time we left. Every time we go there we try something new. The food is great. The bar is great. Can't beat the location in Gilbert.

Overall the food, ambiance, service, and atmosphere were lovely. While the staff were accommodating and polite, we got looks from a lot of the other patrons when we walked in with our 3 young kids. No shade to the restaurant, but I didn't see anyone else mention it, so calling it out for future potential patrons - this is very much more of a lovely date night place (or every night place if you don't have kids), than a family place. There are no kids menus and I'm not sure if there are high chairs. Again, everything was great! Just not go-to young family place. read more

This Gilbert bistro is a little gem. With lots of wine bottles and crates as decor, it has a dark-ish, charming feel to it. There is a large patio with seating outside, an me inside had a combination of banquettes and tables. There is a bar along one wall. Our server was great--friendly and attentive. We ordered the Red Before Bed froze' and the carbonade, both wine based drinks. Both were very yummy! We shared a Humble Caesar salad and a Maximus pizza. Been wanting to try this spot for a while and finally made it in on a Saturday afternoon. Plenty of parking, greeted and seated promptly for a party of 2 without reservations. My review for this establishment is neutral. The food and drinks were tasty. The atmosphere was classy and moody. The music was extremely loud. It was a bit hard to have a conversation. The service was a bit odd which is why I didn't give more stars. When I asked our server if he preferred the white or the red sangria he didn't speak on either. He suggested the Rosé. I personally don't like rosé which is why it wasn't one of them options I asked him to speak on. I ended up getting the red and it was delicious! It was shortly after we got our food that someone just walked up to us and asked if we were done with our food. When we said no, a girl came up to us probably 5 mins later asking us if we wanted boxes for our food. We said no, we were taking our time and breathing as we were trying to enjoy our dinner. Another girl came up and asked if she could clear our table and yet we still were eating. Once we were finally done and told them to take our plates our server came up with check in hand and asked if we needed anything else. I asked if they had a dessert menu. And I quote "Yes we do." I went to Humble Bistro on a Friday night and only had to wait about 20 minutes! We sat outside and the atmosphere was so cozy (thanks to the heaters). For starters I ordered the fries. They were yummy but honestly, nothing crazy. I enjoyed the green sauce (jalapeno ranch?) the best. My boyfriend ordered the short rib pappardelle and it was AMAZING! The short rib was cooked wonderfully. If you are a superfan of mushrooms (not me), definitely order the cremini sacchetti. The pasta was delicious and creamy. Ate lunch here on Tuesday 5/20/25 with a group of 5 other ladies. We're ages 55-85 & go out to a different restaurant every Tuesday. This was their 1st visit. I'd been here once before for brunch (bad experience for me due to them only having tomato based or spicy options & I don't do either.). Our waitress was friendly, competent, & patient with us (one lady has memory issues & repeatedly asks the same questions). Important to note that our waitress had NO problems giving us separate checks & did NOT charge us an automatic group gratuity. (I think this is a sign of a good restaurant with competent wait staff - cause I'll always tip great servers 20% or more). I and 2 others all had the Short rib grilled cheese with No jalapeños or spicy mayo. I got side salad with champagne vinaigrette & others got the fries (side was included). We all really enjoyed the sandwiches. Nice fried cheese on the outside, tasty bread, & generous amount of meat BUT, it needed a sauce. The ONLY non-spicy options is their Fancy sauce. (I think it's BBQ sauce & mayo?) It's tasty & a great addition to the sandwich. Two got the Cajun chicken club sandwich with fries & without spicy mayo. They both enjoyed it & said it was really flavorful. Another got the Pasta Rosa - she doesn't like cheese & she thought it too cheesy for her liking. She should have just for marina sauce instead. All but 1 of us had to take home half our sandwich. Then, we asked for a dessert menu - waitress gave us 1 well-used crumpled menu that looked like a used postcard - see my pic. (Should be replaced). She also told us that today they also had tiramisu & bread pudding that wasn't listed. Thought dessert prices were good. One ordered tiramisu, one ordered a scoop of vanilla ice cream, & i ordered the warm, gooey chocolate brownie that also came with ice cream. We all shared & tried all of the desserts. My brownie was the best - 3 of us devoured it quickly. The tiramisu was dry - layers weren't soaked enough - but mascarpone tasted great & piece size was generous - hopefully, just an off day. To the restaurants owners, managers, & chefs - you're really limiting your customer base by NOT providing more Non-spicy options especially at lunch. There's a-lot of people in the area that you are keeping out of your restaurant & you weren't very busy for lunch that day. I especially think it's CRAZY that you don't have a non-jalapeño Caesar dressing. Not everyone can eat peppers. read more

She has no personality and when she decides to come to the table she doesn't take all the empty plates- mind you there is hardly any room on the table because the space is so tight so we could definitely use to have plates and cups removed for our appetizers and beverages. We got here at 6p, took roughly an hour to get our food , it's taken a while to get the drinks and the food. It's also not busy at all here. This go round, the food is very inconsistent. The fries came out cold and over cooked (not happy with that since we all got humble fries as an add-on and it was an additional $3 dollar charge ) No drink refills unless we asked. I have been here on one other occasion, with my small dog in a stroller and we were sat outside. Great staff and food. I had friends from out of town and opted to take them here with my pet. We were led outside to be seated, when the "manager" on the floor (3/1/2025) followed and indicated they would lose their license if they sat us outside. I want to be clear that there were no patrons outside at all. I finally had a chance to look at their Yelp listing and it plainly indicates "Pets Allowed"!!! This is truly upsetting, not to mention embarrassing to my guests. I opted to take them to Bourbon & Bones and the staff and manager were on top of their game. So disappointed in Humble! This was my first time visiting Humble Bistro in Gilbert. It was a very nice experience. The strangest thing that really stands out is, that they have nothing hot to drink. They have no coffee ,no tea ,not even hot water. Only cold drinks. I thought that was quite odd. Anyway, we ordered the meat charcuterie board. There are two boards to choose from. At $34 it was very delicious and came with some wonderful sourdough pita bread. Everything was very nicely presented. although we did not get any serving utensil for the on the board. I don't know if that's normal, but it made it difficult to serve up some of the items unless directly off the board. There was a chorizo on the board that neither one of us cared for, but other than that everything was completely delicious. It's an ample board for multiple people. We ended up by having a lot left over to take home. it was not very busy when we came in. However, we had to ask for refills of drinks, and we had to ask the check. I would say from the board being so good that the rest of the menu is probably quite good. My friend has been there several times. She told me it's always very good food. All in all it was a very nice experience. It's really decorated lovely, and the bathroom is very charming with little flower tiles on the floor. It's really worth checking out.
