Spicy Chicken Sausage & Cheese Sauce Hatch Chili Mac n Cheese
    Christine B.

Sauce is one of my son's favorite spots and we've grown to like it too. The people at the register are always friendly. Our go-to pizza is the Mozzarella, Fontina and Basil - simple but delicious. My husband had the Spicy Chicken Sausage and Hatch Green Chili Mac n Cheese and liked that too. The two suggestions I have for Sauce to work on are: 1) They always bring my family's entrees out at different times. Sometimes the last person is waiting up to ten minutes for theirs. It makes for awkward dining. 2) This location is small and crowded, and we're happy that they are popular. But there are always several tables that haven't been cleared off and cleaned. They need to do a better job of turning over tables. Other than that, we've had a good experience dining here.

    Kids cheese pizza. Super cheesy!!

It's been a while since I've stepped foot into this Sauce location. I was craving pasta, and wanted something on the cheap. I ordered the Spicy Chicken Sausage w/ hatch chilè and it did not disappoint! Perfect portions, saucy & flavorful..it definitely hit the spot! We also had the cheese pizza & pasta/marinara sauce. The cheese pizza excellent..perfectly flaky thin crust & also good size for being a small. They have about 5 different pastas to choose from, along with a good variety of pizza options, salads and more. They also serve wine to pair with your meals & have a great summer meal & wine deal going on right now. Service was good & restaurant was clean. Perfect spot if you're looking for something quick, casual & cheap!

Sauce is one of my favorites! I think they have great customer service, all their employees are always so well put together and friendly! I order a salad that isn't on the menu anymore... And I know who the new employees are that take my order when I go in, because they always look at me with a blank stare for a moment! But they always find someone to help them learn how to enter it! I love that they give local brewing companies a chance here, they have the IPA Jungle Jack tropical hazy they are from Chandler! If you like tropical flavor this is a beer you should try! The food is delicious, we love the Salads, Lasagna, Pizza,Mac and cheese, and their bruschetta!!! The passion fruit black tea is my go to tea at Sauce!

We came here for my sisters birthday dinner. It was everyone's first time, aside from my parents. We all explored the menu and then went to order. The guy at the register was not super friendly. We had asked how big the pizzas were and if they could feed 2 people. He said he didn't know and it was just a regular pizza. So we never got an answer on that. We ended up just ordering a few pizzas to serve our table. For anyone curious, the pizzas are 12in and can be shared if you don't eat too much or get something small too. My cousin ordered his own meal at the counter and the guy mentioned they had no change after taking the money into the register. So my cousin awkwardly said to keep it as a tip because he couldn't get anything back. We got table numbers and waited for our food to be brought. The lady who brought our food was not very friendly either. She never smiled just kinda rushed on asking who's food it was. We mistakenly said it wasn't anyones when it was my cousins separate order. He went to the counter to get it back were he was handed his food with attitude. The service had a sudden change after that and when the lady came back with our other orders she seemed nicer. The food itself was okay, I got a panini which was pretty good. However, my chips were too hard for me to enjoy and the meatball I got was chewy and weird textured. The pizzas seemed to be decent. Everyone ate and said it was okay but they would rather have gone somewhere else like MOD. Overall the experience was okay and a bit disappointing. The staff was not knowledgeable with the questions we had and they started off with attitude or just sour moods, which I can understand in a busy setting but it is a turn off. I don't think the food stood out for me to ever return but it's not a bad place for those wanting to try.

Two thin crust burnt and not edible.

Ultimately I chose the Mesa store because it was the original and I wanted to see Mesa. We started with a basic garlic cheese bread appetizer and it was great. The calamari was tempting but we'll save that for next time. Wife ordered fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and I ordered the usual Chicken Parmesan which came with a side of pasta. It was actually a harder choice than usual because I walked thru the restaurant before I ordered and so many dishes looked good, as did the pizza. But I went with the usual. Let's start with the wife, which truly speaks to the five stars because she frankly doesn't love Italian food. She eats it when I beg. And she loved it. She actually proactively mentioned she wanted to go back. That's like 7 stars right there it's so abnormal. I agree with her. The chicken parm was fantastic. Amazing. To top it off, our server was great and when I mentioned we were new to the area and it was our first trip she was so nice telling us the history of the original and the other stores, and the manager later stopped by to continue that conversation as the server told her we were new. I mentioned that I live closer to the Scottsdale store, and she said it's the same food and I'll like it just as much. I'll have a hard time deciding which shop to return to - it might be worth the drive to the original just for the ambiance, but I'll give the other a try soon because it was just that good! 5 stars. Or 7 if you ask my wife.

And then imagine finding out that said location is INSIDE an incredible brewery. Baby... when I tell you I almost ascended. Hello? Excuse me? Did the pizza and beer gods personally hear my dramatic little prayers? Did they not only bless us with this heavenly combo, but ALSO decide to rotate different pizza specials every single week just to keep me emotionally unstable? Because THEY. DID. I genuinely cannot stop talking about this place. At this point my friends are one more pizza rant away from blocking my number, but I refuse to apologize. Every single time I go, I convince myself this is my favorite pizza... and then next week they drop another masterpiece and suddenly I'm questioning everything I thought I knew about myself. What makes this place so ridiculously good is that they are fearless. They're out here using sauces as bases that other pizza places would clutch their pearls over. Ingredients that sound chaotic on paper somehow turn into the most beautiful, life-altering bite you've ever had. It's giving culinary drag performance. Bold. Unexpected. A little dramatic. Perfect execution. And the brewery vibe? Elite. The energy is fun, relaxed, a little loud in the best way, and honestly the perfect setting to destroy an entire pizza while pretending you'll "just have one slice." Lies. All lies. The beer pairings somehow make every flavor pop even more, which feels scientifically unfair. Also can we normalize restaurants understanding that pizza should be FUN? Because this place gets it. They're creative without being pretentious, experimental without losing quality, and somehow every pie still feels comforting and familiar while also making you gasp like you just heard fresh gossip. At this point I don't even ask what the special is anymore. I just trust them blindly like a toxic relationship, except this one actually delivers happiness. 10/10. Life-changing. Emotionally supportive pizza.

Located on the main drag of downtown Mesa you can eat inside or on the patio. There aren't servers, instead, you order at the front desk. The menu has a variety of options, mostly pizza (both classics and signature pies). There is also a bar area where you can grab a pint or two of local brews The interior was electric with people enjoying pizza, locations, watching the Olympics, and just unwinding for the day. We ordered a salad and a couple of pizzas. The salad came out first, and the pizzas weren't far behind Being a self-proclaimed pizza snob, the pizza was fine. It wasn't overly flavorful, and it didn't blow me away, but it also didn't disappoint. The salad was LOADED with toppings, and I was somewhat impressed there. Unfortunately, polling the group, the beer was slightly lackluster. But again, this spot is a fun vibe and is great if you want to hang out for a bit and enjoy a brewery/pizza parlor type atmosphere Some tips: When you're done with your drinks and meal consider walking down the Main Street and stopping by one of their many bars, museums, and other eateries There isn't a lot of parking off the main drag, but we were fortunate enough to find parking on a few different occasions Cheers!

She immediately told us the kitchen would be closing in 10 minutes (we arrived at 7:19 and they close at 8), which already made the experience feel a bit rushed. We ordered a deep dish pepperoni and sausage pizza, a Caesar salad, fries, and water. The salad and fries came out quickly and were good, but we waited until 7:52 for the pizza. During that time, several staff members including what seemed to be a manager, were loudly yelling back and forth across the restaurant about staffing and schedules. With no music or TV volume, it was impossible not to hear, and it felt very unprofessional. Meanwhile, our water glasses sat empty. I had to ask three separate times for refills, and the third time I actually had to get up and find our server at the bar, where she was sitting, still discussing the schedule. When the pizza finally arrived, it was delicious. But basic things like Parmesan and pepper weren't offered. I had to flag someone down to ask. And even though we'd just received our food, the lights on the patio were turned off while we were eating, and we were brought a box very quickly, which felt like a not-so-subtle hint to leave. Overall, the food was good, but the customer service and atmosphere really took away from what should have been a nice birthday dinner for my daughter. Very disappointing experience.
