Almost three years ago (July 2023), I attended a Yelp Event at this location and throughly enjoyed the food, building, and the staff were exceptionally friendly. They had a little nook of tables that was perfect and I kept in the back of my mind for any events that I may need a location for. Enter Keri's Baby Shower - Slice, Slice Baby! What a perfect low key baby shower idea, and an amazing location where we hosted on their patio for a relaxing event. The pizza always has an exceptional cheese pull, and delicious. Loved the set up on the table for a grab a plate and add some delicious items (pizza, wings, and salad) with drinks/cups on another table. I can see this set up working for graduations as that season is coming up, baby showers, birthday parties, or even just a date night sitting in one of their booths. This about the delivery service DOOR DASH This is the second time they screwed up, one time the driver wouldn't follow the map for my apartment and was leaving with MY Pizza. This time I ordered for a senior who just got out of rehab and asked that it be delivered into their hand (he's on a walker) the driver leaves it at another apartment. Vero has some amazing deals going on Monday-Thursdays right now through end of July. They have a nice happy hour menu too Monday-Saturday 2pm-6pm and all day Sunday. Decided to take advantage of their Wednesday deal of $8 for an Italian beef sandwich with fries and a 10 inch sausage butter crust pan pizza for only $10! This is such a great deal as I've paid $28 before for a same size deep dish pizza. I ordered to go and pick up went seamlessly. Loved seeing they even offer 20% off for first responders and armed forces. How great and generous! Was really looking forward to tasting the Italian beef sandwich and OMG it was incredibly SALTY!! I thought maybe it was just the au jus but even the beef was a salt bomb. No way to fix it:( The fries were disappointing too as it was very dry. I couldn't enjoy the pizza as I just could not get the salty taste out of my mouth. Lesson learned, I'll just stick with their pizzas as they do have good pizza. read more

We like deep dish style pizza. My wife had read about this place and we finally made it here. We were seated quickly and given time to peruse the menu while having our drink order taken. There are a lot of options, including the usual build-your-own. We'd come for the butter crust, so that part was easy. My wife likes plain cheese, and I can do that but prefer more toppings. I was happy we could BYO half of the pizza. I ordered my half with beef and giardiniera (apparently they make that in house). Our son ordered a thin crust with cheese and sausage. The pizza took a while, which was not unexpected, so we started with the fried pizza dough appetizer. We recommend that if you want something to munch on while you wait. The pickled peppers had a nice kick to them and balanced out the richness of the cheese. The sauce had good flavor that didn't overpower the rest of the ingredients. The butter crust was good, but I'm not sure I'd call it life-changing. The thin crust was also a solid choice with more of a crunchy than chewy texture. I'm not from Chicago, but a lot of thin crust pizzas I've had at "Chicago-style" places are more cracker-like than the Italian style pizzas. A solid 4+ stars in my book, but nothing to really push it to 5 this time. read more

We usually love Veros and order takeout all the time, but this salad made us so sad. $9 for a "large" Caesar that was basically wilted lettuce, a couple croutons fighting for their lives, and little To no cheese. Pretty disappointing. If you order a salad here, cross your fingers it shows up looking like an actual LARGE Caesar salad. read more

This pizza restaurant is very close to our home, so it is a definite regular in the work night rotation. I love the Chicago decor and the Windy City-inspired menu names. The staff is so friendly. It is usually pretty loud (and sometimes the floors are sticky) because this is also a family friendly joint. So, I can't recommend Vero for a date night, but I can highly recommend the food. Tried out a new (to us) Chicago pizza place. They carry all the standard fare you might want - from thin crust square cut pizza, butter crust pan pizza, deep dish, salads, sandwiches, and pasta. I loved that they also offer quite a few appetizer offerings. We tried out the Pizza Fritta (lightly fried pizza dough tossed with garlic butter and grated romano, served with marinara.) It's one of those dishes that you just can't stop yourself from diving into it's so good. I found our butter crust pizza to be fine but would probably try a different style next time. We were introduced to this Resturant during couples night out. Located in a strip mall in Gilbert parking is shared and there is ample parking. The atmosphere was modern contemporary with a softer sports bar theme. Menu They offer a verity of Italian dishes and Pizza and most notably their Deep Dish which I ordered for my wife and I. Perfectly cooked to a golden brown crust and packed with our toppings. It was everything we were told, Chicago's finest. Dined here on a busy Christmas Eve Eve night with my family. The dining room was full but there was one booth in the bar that was open so we took that. The bar is about the same size as the dining room...would be nice to have more tables in the dining area and fewer in the bar. We were told by the waitress that pizzas will take awhile, so we ordered the house chips tossed in parmesan and garlic. They were $6 since we just snuck in under the 7pm daily happy hour time. When the pizza arrived, only the bacon was on the top, but found the pepperoni and mushroom under the cheese. The pizza was very tasty and the butter crust was unique and great! We thought 1 pizza may not be enough when we ordered but two slices is a full meal and we took two remaining slices home. Our server was taking care of the entire bar so she was very busy...took some time to get our bill but we understood due to the crowd and them likely short-staffed due to the holiday. I'd rate my experience a zero if possible. We were seated at 4:40 on a Saturday afternoon, in a far corner bypassing 3 available tables. Once we were seated I noticed sticky soda residue and left over pizza sauce on the table, which I cleaned myself. Our host told us it would be a minute because their server was busy. While sitting there, 3 more parties were sat at tables next to us. Those 3 tables were seated and drink orders were taken. 3 or 4 separate servers came to the surrounding tables and took drink orders, etc. and not once did anyone take our drink order, or anything else. Yesterday we went to the Gilbert location. The surrounding area very nice a typical pub type of place! Lots of Chicago stuff on the walls. We had the 14" thin crust pizza and an Italian sausage sandwich. The service was great very attentive and speedy. We got the pizza within a reasonable amount of time even with it being so crowded! We eat here once a week for late lunch and the food is great as if we are home in the Windy City. The servers are very well trained and helpful. Well 2 days ago we had a new server name Mark and he blew the service thru the roof. Very well dressed, super polite and professional. He is the type that really provides great service with out you knowing he's there. We were so impressed that we asked if he had a moment to chat, after a quick 5 minutes were even more impressed hearing his goals, and the progress he has already achieve. Well First time trying this place and I didn't even get to try this place! I called over the phone for a pick up order & that my order would take an hour to make. No worries! We were excited to try this place so yeah we can wait. Ok arrive @ 8p an hour later to pick up... they take my payment and then I continue to wait upfront. Few minutes more later a young lady comes to me and tells me they didn't make my order. Just "I'm sorry it will be ready in 30 min." Absolutely not. You want me to wait an hour and a half for our dinner? We were STARVING because we really wanted to be hungry and enjoy every crumb up of our order. HUGE disappointment. The food is very good. The service is very slow. I understand that it is busy. You should realize that every table will be filled so please staff accordingly. This is the place if your looking for good Pizza. We're from Chicago and it's pretty darn close to back home. Excellent atmosphere and great for lunch or dinner with the family. We had a party of Seven. 4 adults and 3 kids. No reservations and we were seated right away. Our hostess was very nice. Menu is easy to read and very detailed. Our drinks, Appetizers and Pizza were excellent. The pizza took over 30 minutes but was worth the wait. You can't rush perfection. We had the Sears Tower. First time coming here and was very impressed! Came in on a Friday night and it was very busy. The hostess' were great and pointed out some seating at the bar for my party. The inside is smaller than I expected but you're also not on top of other parties either. Loved the vibe inside and tons of TVs for watching the game. The food here is delicious! Tried their wings and was impressed by them - large and a lot of meat! We also got a pizza and it was so good. If you're looking for a Chicago style pie, you have to try Veros! Hubby & I had dinner here last Friday. I had sangria and hubby had beer. The sangria is a nice size. We had the cheese curds and they were delicious again. Hubby also got a salad. Hubby got a pizza. This time I got the Sloppy Giuseppe. I will not get that again. I don't know why they call it sloppy. There was hardly any meat on it with some melted cheese. We ordered the 14" buttercrust pizza -- half Lake Shore Drive, half meatball & black olive, with a side salad & Vero dressing (similar to a vinaigrette without being too tangy). Superb! Note 1: We did not order extra cheese...every pizza is made with a cheese lover's amount of ooey-goodness. YUM! Note 2: Allow a lil extra time for your pizza to be made. There's a great appetizer menu to hold you over, or order a side salad to munch on while you wait. :) The food and service have always been exceptional -- and now that the a/c is fixed (Aug 30, 2024, lunch date), the atmosphere is perfect! Tried this place the other day and it was delicious!! The large Caesar salad was plenty for two if sharing and the cauliflower crust is incredible. Food is always wonderful however service is TERRIBLE. We sat at the bar for 15 minutes until someone recognized the fact that we were there and we had to ask if we could put a drink order in.
