We've been coming to Brio for years - consistently great food, fair prices and amazing servers and bartenders. My wife and I regularly sit at the bar for a couple drinks during happy hour and enjoy their pasta dishes and salads. The atmosphere is a little nicer than some of the other Italian chains, so I recommend it for folks looking for a quieter vibe. Our favorite bartender (Ken) is amazing! Try them out! read more

The food is amazing... service is good, once you get seated. I entered the restaurant and had to wait several minutes before someone finally walked up to greet and seat us. The water tasted a little fishy for some reason. My daughter also complained about their soft drinks because they taste watered down and just off. I've always been afraid to the chicken Marsala in fear I wouldn't like the sauce, but OMG! It's soooo good! I will order the chicken Marsala everytime I come now! Served on a bed of mashed potatoes, topped with asparagus and a mushroom gravy... Yum! My daughter got the kids chicken Parmesan, which was essentially chicken tenders covered in cheese and marinara, served with a side of Alfredo rigatoni noodles. I literally don't know where to begin with our experience on 5/15. We came in on a Friday evening at 7pm and were promptly seated, we originally made a reservation and found out after the fact that they canceled it at 4:30pm. Our waitress was fine, no issues up until the food arrived. Every single person in our party received their food except for one person, we waited a few minutes looking around and waiting and nothing arrived. When the waitress came back and we inquired where the food was, she said it would be coming out shortly. Again, the food did not come. At this point we couldn't even enjoy our meals because one member of our party was hungry and did not get his food. When they brought out a meal, it was not what he ordered, and they took it back to the kitchen. They shortly brought out his food, that was truly made half-assed, inedible and poorly made. When we asked to speak to a GM, we were told by our waitress that the GM was not available but the executive chef would speak to us. The chef provided us a plethora of excuses, new systems etc. honestly we didn't want anything besides communication and a genuine apology, which we received from him after stating that. We were offered a celebration brownie for the inconvenience which we declined, even though we were in town celebrating a graduation, the chef took off 2 calamaris off the bill. The Salmon Fresca was amazing with asparagus, sweet potatoes, red peppers, tomatoes, and spinach. The balsamic reduction was a wonderful accent. The restaurant can be a bit chilly so bring a sweater. The service was decent even though we were served our entree before our salads. The Valentine's Day special ($70 for 2) was a good value. read more

On the Saturday we visited their location wasn't overly busy, so we were able to be seated as soon as we arrived. Service went pretty smoothly; we received our drinks quickly along with some bread for the table. The appetizers were alright, the calamari dish was cooked just right & the sauces it came with were good, the spinach dip was basic, but we all liked the cheesy dipping bread like chips it came with. For our main courses, everyone really enjoyed the meal they picked out. Portions were decent & filling and no one had any complaints on how the food was cooked. There were six of us and in total I would say we were here for about an hour. It was not good. The bread was excellent. Great sour dough. I'll give them that. The Chianti was very good but expensive, for Chianti. The lamb appetizer that we had ordered there before, was way overdone and listless. WAY overdone. My Caesar salad was horrible, for an Italian restaurant in particular. The croutons were chewy! No flavor that you expect in a Caesar salad. My husband's lasagna was watery. I asked for ground pepper for my salad and the waiter brought out salt and pepper I buy at Fry's. The total was $100 for the two of us...at lunch. No thanks. Will never go there again and will never recommend. read more

This was our first time trying Brio Italian Grille, and we decided to order takeout. Overall, it was disappointing given the price point and our expectations. The food was just okay. We ordered two pasta dishes, the Pasta Brio and the Chicken & Spinach Fettuccine, and neither stood out. The Chicken & Spinach Fettuccine was fairly bland, though that ended up being fine for the kids once we picked out the spinach. The Pasta Brio was more flavorful, but still nothing special. Portion sizes were also smaller than expected for the price. For a meal costing over $40, the bread that came with it was minimal, just a small piece of a loaf, barely enough for the two adults, with little left for the kids. Since the restaurant is about a 40-mile round trip for us, we don't see ourselves making the drive again. It just wasn't impressive enough to justify the cost or distance. We have Red White & Brew right down the street, which offers a delicious menu and bigger portion sizes at a similar price point. My two star rating is given in comparison to other Italian food I've had, this one just wasn't up there with others. read more

Brown lettuce in the salad with frozen overcooked salmon added as a protein. The spinach and artichoke dip was watery like soup and the Parmesan flatbread included tasted like cardboard. And the drinks.... DO NOT order the Peach Bellini! The blender does not break down the ice and you're just left with peach puree and big pieces of ice. I couldn't drink 1/2 of it! read more

Matt, the server bartender courier to my rescue! I just recently had surgery and it was my first outing and I wanted to dine at Brio. I do love the food there and also the happy hour! I got a bit ahead of myself and did some shopping I was not supposed to hold heavy objects I was also a bit winded from all my walking that day. Matt was kind enough to have me drive my car to the restaurant and put in all my bags so I wouldn't have to journey to my car which was parked nearby. My daughter stated that she loves nice restaurants and didn't like other restaurants so I drive her here for Italian. I love Italian and decided that this would be something different than my usual place to go! I love the location , the energy here is refreshing with good vibes, and they have spacious seating! We both ordered (see photos) I totally forget, just that fast! Lol ‍ Our food was yummy but could've been a bit more in proportion honestly. The bread could've been warmer so that the butter melts on it, rather than looking like a clump of butter on bread! If you become a member, you will receive coupons and discounts to return. I love the coupons and honestly don't use them enough! I will start though! There's plenty of parking on location. Of course, I'd return as, this is a great place to go from my regular routine for a change up, from time to time! They have a fire happy hour on food which is when I'm usually here! I recommend going here for date night, girls/fellas night out, or even for family time! The waitress was nice along with the ice tea and wedge salad. My wife's lasagna tasted ok but very runny. My pasta dish had no flavor and was able to have it replaced with a rigatoni mild sausage pasta dish with a creamy sauce. Nothing mild about it! Loaded with overpowering red pepper flakes or something! I like hot and spicy but this was over the top. It's a pasta restaurant and the pasta lacking flavor. So let me start by saying I really want to give this place another chance....the food here was pretty good. I got the sausage rigatoni and it was delicious. The drinks are made VERY strong but still were decent. The atmosphere is nice. But the service was AWFUL To start it was a Monday around 6:15....and the restaurant did not har a lot of people....my mom and my husband came in asking the hostess if they were able to accommodate a party of 17 for my daughter's 18th bday dinner. The response from the hostess was "no" then just stared at her. Then said "wait are you serious? I have to ask the manager" So what restaurant would turn down 17 people like that??????? She was so incredibly rude. Finally she came back and agreed and we told her we would all be there at 7. When the rest of us got there at 7 I asked her if we could be seated outside (my daughter was wondering) and she rolls her eyes and says "I already have a table and outside is closed" it's fine if you don't have the staff to put us outside but it could do without the eye roll. When she seats us our waiter Joseph comes over and brings us water. I turned and asked "whenever you get a chance could I get lemons please? It's no rush at all" he rolled his eyes and walked away. And that was just the start Joseph the ENTIRE night rolled his eyes muttered curse words under his breath whenever we had the audacity to ask for something. I had to get up multiple times to get refills for our drinks at the bar because he couldn't be bothered to be asked. We saw our food ready to be served and it sat there for 15 minutes while Joseph was no where to be seen. When the food for the kids came it was cold (like inedible cold) and we had to ask some of it to be remade. The chef came out from the back and tried so hard to redeem our experience. He was so sweet and kept checking up on us. When Joseph finally reappeared he brought us our food and another lady came to help him with a tray and he cursed at her under his breath. When we asked for Parmesan he acted like we ruined his whole night At the end he said "I'll be by with your check...." then muttered "and the manager because f*cking..." then I didn't hear the rest because he ran off. The manager never came and honestly we just wanted to get out of there. The bill was over $500 for 17 of us which is crazy. We wouldn't mind if the service was better. Honestly the food was decent...maybe not worth the price...the sous chef was so sweet thought! Joseph and the hostess were awful and if my family and didn't laugh about this we would be more upset. It makes me sad that customer service is so awful now. If you don't like serving people then find another job. No one is making you do this job. read more

We are always looking for good food after we go to Saturday night church service. We enjoyed our time here. We arrived at at 5:45pm with no wait, but by 6:30 PM, they looked pretty busy. We've only been seated about one minute when Taylor came by and greeted us and said she would be our server. She offered to help us with the menu when she learned this was our first visit. We told her we had reviewed Yelp and knew what we wanted. We split a Caesar salad, I had the Caprese chicken dinner, which she said was one of her favorites and Don had the carbonara with sausage. We enjoyed both. Don's not sure he needs the egg on top, but it was fine. We would both get what we ordered again but also want try some new things as they have a great variety on their menu. The portion size was generous as we each are taking half of our meal home for lunch tomorrow. Our meals came out quickly and were hot. Loved the warm sourdough bread and especially the butter! One of the worst experiences I've had. The food wasn't that good, food was cold, and the service was colder... The waiter was rude, MIA, and cussing under his breath while punching in the orders. He was rude from the start so maybe a bad night, but still you work in costumer service. My husband who is very much a peace keeper almost stood up to tell the waiter to stop. To start he was very short with us. After placing our order the kids food came out and sat out for 10 min probably longer before anyone served us. We had to ask the other waiters if we can grab the food. Then they were happy to step in to serve us. After that incident, he was even more rude. Making rude comments and over all just unhappy. We are a big group I can understand being overwhelmed, but this was too far. Cussing under your breath when we are asking for a refill seems a bit much. And we were there to celebrate my nieces 18th birthday. Disappointing and would never go back As for food, in my opinion lacked flavor and was cold. Hate to leave a 1 star, as you know, but this was absolutely irredeemable. The lettuce in my chopped salad was wilted AF, and the bolognese was an utter joke. Laughable. Embarrassing. Essentially hamburger helper on cheap overcooked pasta. Sent it back and left hungry, which was better than eating this slop. Thankfully they didn't charge us for that trash. The husband hated his Chicken Milanese but was too polite to send it back. I can't believe he was able to eat as much as he did. My niece and nephew couldn't eat their pasta either. My friend and I came here for lunch and service was slow. After 25 minutes, we still had no drinks. The water tasted terrible. The glasses on the table were dirty and the table was not very clean. There was a large hole on the cushion of the bench seat we were seated at. The women's restroom had missing toilet paper in one of the stalls and one of the soap dispensers was empty. The lettuce on the salad I ordered was not fresh. We finally got up and left the restaurant before our drinks and food arrived. I've been coming here for probably 10+ years now. When I was younger I thought of this restaurant so highly, it seemed truly to me to be luxurious. Now upon visiting I cannot say that I feel the same. I don't leave this review to be mean but really in the hopes that a manager will see it and maybe take my feedback seriously. This place has so much potential to be outstanding with its location, beautiful architecture, the bar area, etc. The establishment is architecturally set up for success. Upon walking in, there was trash all over the floor in the little lobby area. Didn't think much of it, I figured it blew in from outside and nobody had a chance to pick it up. That was until we left an hour later and it remained. There were probably 5-6 servers walking around and maybe 3 tables had people seated. We sat down ordered the spinach and artichoke dip. Once again I don't say this to me rude. But it tasted like something you would be served at Bowlero. It was truly awful, just tasted fake like it was popped in the microwave and the chip/bread tasted like it went from freezer to oven to table. We barely touched it. I will say our server was very nice and we did not complain about the dip. But generally when someone does not touch something on the table, it is because they do not like it, but we were not asked about it at all. Our entrees were great. I will say that. But while eating the meals in this empty restaurant with poor music playing, (don't remember much of what played but I do know that "pumped up kicks" came on. Just weird vibe for a restaurant of this elegance.) we are watching the employees mess around and on their phones the whole time. All of this to say, it seems the management here has changed or is just really slacking. It genuinely just pained me to see a restaurant that could be amazing be mediocre at best when it came to food, service, and just general ambiance. This place could be phenomenal, but I left thinking what a shame. read more

Located in San Tan Village which is a nice place to wander and shop when weather is nice. Brio offers a nice wrap around patio with plenty of tables that are space nicely apart. The crowd seems to be a nice mix of younger folks and local couples who favorite this place. Parking can be a bit of a bother as it's largely on street with a couple of larger side lots that are a bit of a walk from this restaurant. The service started out pretty good as I was the only one seated on the side of the patio initially. I ordered a glass of wine to start only to be told 10 minutes later that they didn't have that wine anymore. When I ordered another glass of a different wine, my server looks skeptically at the menu as I don't think he knows the wine menu very well. They do offer five and 9 ounce pours, which is a nice touch. For an appetizer, I ordered the beef carpaccio and for my main course a market salad with salmon. The server brought out two orders of the carpaccio, seemed confused and took one order back into the restaurant only to emerge a minute later and tell me that I could have the second one as well! Well, who am I to complain? Unfortunately, the beef carpaccio looked a bit aged as rather than the bright red I'm used to. It was kind of a brownish gray. Over the top of it was some kind of sauce that tasted like a weak thousand island dressing. Not in the top half of carpaccio in terms of taste that I've ever had. The service staff was attentive, making sure my water glass stayed full. The salad was a bit of a disappointment. All the iceberg lettuce was brown around the edges, indicating it was older and had been sitting out for a while. It's a good size salad though, and the dressing is nice, Just not very visually appealing. My server then brought the check out to me and started to turn around and go back inside. I asked about any dessert and he quickly said "oh yeah" and pick the check back up and looked at me. I asked if he could bring me a dessert menu and get me a cup of coffee. He said "no coffee" the coffee machine was broken. So I said, "forget the dessert" and gave him my credit card. For the wine appetizer and entrée salad my total with taxes and tip was between $60 and $70. Not a great value for what I got. Don't think I'll go back when in that area as there's lots of other choices. But honestly, their specialty is pasta so your results may vary. read more

First off -- amazing and quick service from the bartenders who worked on Friday (10/24) we sat in one of the bar booths - very comfortable and clean. Got an order of the calamari which had a nice addition of spicy from peppers. The only thing I would change about the dish is having the sauce on the side, it seemed like it was just thrown on the plate and it made the calamari soggy quickly. We also got the caprese salad which was so delish! Drinks (an old fashioned & tropical cosmo ) *not pictured but perfectly balanced.
