Kid's chicken strip Meal
Kyndra P.

This has been my second time here and it has been a good experience both times. The first time had live music and he was fantastic! This time it was a DJ before the UFC fights. The inside of this place is great and they have some arcade games. The food in the past I got their chicken tacos, potato Skins, and their Brookie. I recommend the potato skins but I wouldn't get the others again. This time, I got the Asian chicken salad and the carne asada fries. Both tasted great but I was disappointed with the size of the salad for the price, it was way too small. But the carne asada fries were amazingggg!!! That is going to be my meal moving forward next time I come in.

This was our first time at Backyard Gilbert. We brought our visitors from Montana out for dinner and to listen to Dueling Pianos. Our food was good, and our server, Hanna, did an outstanding job in a very busy atmosphere. We loved the backyard ambiance feel. We joined the sing alongs and really enjoyed the piano music! We would recommend this location to our friends

We got in without waiting, great friendly service. I never been into a pub sports bar place with turf as their flooring so it was interesting, they allow dogs inside as well, sooo I wouldn't leave your purse or bag on floor not knowing if a dog pee'd there with turf flooring. With that said I had to sit with my hand bag the whole time dining there with no where to put it or hang in under table like some places have nowadays. They have big screens throughout making it perfect for sports for all that don't want to miss a thing while eating out with friends and/or family. Food was typical pub, decent and simple.

Such a fun spot! First time coming to this location - came here for an NFL Sunday slate of games and it was great. Such a vibe! I really liked the open concept design. There are TVs everywhere. Great music playing. Tons of seating and spacing throughout the whole place. They even have a good amount of arcade games scattered around too! It was packed for football but we found seating at the bar. Decent drink menu overall - kind of expected a wider range of draft beers compared to other places around. Food wise, it was pretty solid. Ordered the 'Merica Burger with fries. No complaints! Definitely on the pricey side though. This is a great time out and break from your typical restaurant dining experience. Definitely recommend coming to watch sports here!

This is a fantastic sports bar. They allow you to make reservations on open door ( we did that for the playoffs for football which was so helpful). They sat us quickly for our reservation despite it being a packed house. They have great happy hour during the week. The crinkle fries are crispy and delicious. The pizza and beer were also refreshing and hit the spot. They have so many TVS including some very big TVs! This bar is dog friend which I love! They have darts and games in the back and open it up to get ventilation on nice days. I wish they would bring the Sonoran white chocolate Arizona brewed beer back! That was my favorite and is hard to find on tap. Great place over all!

If you're looking for a great screen experience and a place to watch "the game"...this is it! I'd give them 5 stars on screens. But the service was bare bones and the food was quite expensive. When we arrived we waited for a while for a hostess. When I requested we be placed where we could watch the game she sat us directly under the large screens despite several (at least 10) other tables all around us open. The server worked hard and she was very sweet but she had very little help. She never filled our waters and rarely checked in with us. We bought nachos, a burger, and 3 drinks and spent $70 (before tip). This seemed really high for pretty basic bar food. I will say, the burger was good! The carne asada nachos weren't worth $22. So, for the price..I'd pass. For the screens to watch a game..great option. (I recommend asking for a high top table if there to watch a game.)

I was in town for a few days. This place was just around the corner so I stopped in a couple times. I have to say the burger was fire as was the turkey melt. They have a nice selection of local beers and that is definitely a plus. I highly recommend Backyard Gilbert.

I'll admit--I was a little sad to see Sandbar go, but I have to say, Backyard is a solid replacement. The updates to the interior are great--it still keeps that fun, social vibe but with a fresh new look that really works. I came with a very large group for Sunday brunch, so I'll give the staff some grace. The service was a bit scattered with confusion over who ordered what and when, but given the crowd and timing, it wasn't a dealbreaker. I was a little hesitant to check it out at first after reading mixed Yelp reviews about the food quality, but I'm glad I gave it a shot. What's brunch without a cocktail? I ordered the Espresso Martini (Ketel One vodka, simple syrup, Kahlua, and espresso)--it was good, though definitely leaned on the vodka-heavy side. My boyfriend had the Tea Time (Crown Royal Peach Whiskey, agave nectar, lemon juice, lemonade, and unsweetened tea), and it was so refreshing--definitely worth trying. For my entree, I went with the Chicken & Waffles topped with a sunny-side-up egg, hot sauce, and maple syrup. The waffle was perfectly golden, the chicken tenders crispy and flavorful, and the hot sauce gave it just the right kick. Honestly, a great plate. I'd definitely come back to try more off the brunch menu--or even swing by on a Friday night for drinks and vibes. A nice rebrand that still holds its own in the Gilbert scene.

Cheers.

Did you know that Legends Sports Bar in Long Beach, California, is widely considered the first modern sports bar, opening in 1979? The Backyard is the kind of place that makes you want to stay awhile. Between the all TVs, a breezy outdoor patio with a ping pong table and cornhole boards, and live music that actually sounds good (not too loud, not too mellow), it's a top-tier spot to catch a game or hang out with friends. The menu harbors classic American bar food done right. Our table of five leaned into the basics of pizza, nachos, ribes, and some cold drinks. Everything hit the spot, crispy where it should be, cheesy where it mattered. Not mind-blowing, but totally satisfying for sports bar fare. Now, the only reason this isn't a five-star rave is the hiccup with service. One of our friends never got their pizza. The staff checked in a couple of times, apologizing and assuring us it was on its way, but sadly, that pizza didn't arrive until the end of the meal. What was supposed to be a part of my friend's meal, he had to have it boxed and took it home. 3.5 stars but I'll round up. The overall experience was a win. Great energy, solid food, and a place we'd absolutely come back to if we want to catch a game on TV.

Came by for HH and found a great place: , friendly service and attentive wait staff! Beer was very good as were appetizers Ambiance: interesting as astro turf inside with picnic tables and roll up garage doors ( when the weather permits). Asked the gal if they allow dogs since they had astroturf and YES, but they also have a doggy menu!!!!! We returned later for Trivia at the bar and had a great time! Next time, I'll bring the pup!!

Backyard has potential, but our experience left a lot to be desired. I started with the Prickly-Pom Margarita, which was actually really good--well-balanced and flavorful. That said, the serving size felt a little small, though that might just be the new normal these days. For food, I ordered the Korean BBQ sticky ribs during happy hour. The portion is three ribs, but only one of them was actually good. The other two were more like half-ribs--mostly fat and cartilage, barely edible. At $9, it felt overpriced. Maybe $5 would be fair, considering how much of it I couldn't eat. Even the flavor was just okay--nothing that stood out. The place was packed and clearly understaffed. Our waitress was doing her best under pressure, and you could tell she was overwhelmed. Whether it was due to call-outs or poor scheduling, the service delays were noticeable. From being seated to leaving took nearly two hours. It was 15-20 minutes before drinks arrived, and another 30 minutes for the food--despite ordering everything at once. What I believe was the manager came over to apologize--he had a broken hand and was talking so quietly that three out of four of us couldn't understand a word. With the music blaring, it was like hearing the teacher from Charlie Brown. The atmosphere overall wasn't bad, but the music was way too loud--we had to shout over it to hold a conversation. Bottom line: There's some good here, but the slow service, small portions, and loud environment held it back. Might be better on a slower night, but I'm not in a rush to return.

Second time I've gone to watch the Ohio state game only to be kicked out at half time Because of the UFC fight they have sold tickets to. Such a waste. Half the restaurant is Ohio State people when they do it. The general Manager is a knucklehead. This will hurt him More than it'll help

This was a blast! We tried the backyard for the love island show night! We tried the beverages and all of them had fun names to do with the people on the love island show, as well as awesome entrees and appetizers. Unfortunately, the chicken tenders were burnt, but the cocktails were great, the atmosphere was so fun and the pizza and spinach & artichoke dip was fabulous! We will absolutely go back! Even the service was wonderful considering how busy it was!

Of course, this place is known for its cocktails, so naturally they should be great--but trust me, I've been to several cocktail-only establishments that were lackluster. Absolutely NOT the case here. You could literally put all the pages of the menu on a wall, throw a dart, and whatever you hit would be delicious and interesting in its own right. The place is a little small, but honestly, that's what I love about it. It feels cozy in all the right ways. It's also very relaxing, floating along the sea with some delightful surprises here and there. We ordered several drinks, but one that's not on the menu (and they do make it) is the Pearl Diver, which is magnificent here. The mixologists and servers are all amazing and should be proud of themselves for bringing such an experience to Gilbert.

We were waiting for dinner at Buck and Rider and went next-door to see if we could get a drink while waiting. The host greeted us nicely and said that as long as we could be gone within 45 minutes that they would love to welcome us in since they had other reservations, but that worked out perfect because like I said we were waiting for our table next-door anyway. It is small but decorated beautifully thankfully there are no steps because it is dark and you kind of feel a little lost as you're walking through but the ambience is very cool. It feels like just tropical and lush all around you. We were seated at a two top along the wall, which seemed like a small space however, it had a really cool cut out window with a moving landscape of water and an island that through the course of the time as we were sitting there, changed to a storm and then cleared it up again it was just really beautiful visually and didn't feel so closed in. The menu was a large variety of cocktails obviously you need to like rum and bourbon and all of the things that pirates and island feels give. Our server made some suggestions. We ordered two different drink drinks. The first was the macadamia nut piña colada I think we are expecting a little more coconut flavor to this drink however, it was very delicious. Definitely strong. The other was actually our server suggestion that had peaked my interest because it had guava in it and that was called off the grid. It was delicious. It was perfectly balanced with sweet and sour lemon, pineapple guava with bourbon and other flavors. On our way out, I did hit the restroom. They have two neutral bathrooms. It was large. It was very clean, decorated beautifully like the rest of the restaurant. All in all a great way to start the night.

But once we got in, the bartender said we can sit anywhere so we sat in booth all the way in in a corner. Greeted by a man in a beard by the bar who said, "Finally ladies. Where have you been?" I went with my bestie and her bf. And her bf ended up chatting with the guy at the bar while my bestie and I sat down. Anyway, as we got seated, we were handed a menu (food and cocktails). We received water after we ordered our own drinks. My friend and I got the same thing. It had like lychee and lemon in it while her bf had this pornstar drink. The only name that I recall from the cocktails side of the menu lol. After deciding what to get from the main course, we were ready to eat. We waited and waited and waited some more but no one came back to check up on us. We were there about an hr, having a good time chatting of course, can't ruin my birthday but also we were very hungry. So my friend's bf got up the table, went to the bar and asked for the check. He was going to pay but I said it's on me. I left no tip with bad customer service as no one came back to us. I guess it pays to be at the bar and all the outside seating. I noticed a lot of people ordering the pizza, and it looked fantastic, so that's definitely on my list for next time. The ambiance is cool and open, they have a great selection of craft beers, and the bar area is really inviting. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the environment is very clean. The bartender was very, very informative and he let us know that they will give you your first dose of Kava for free to try it. I could not choke all of it down. My friend was a trooper goddess, and she choked the whole thing. I was so impressed by her I am very sensitive to things. I was skeptical at first as having a sign posted at the sidewalk and a bouncer outside the stairs going down, was a sheer sign that this isn't such a secret and speakeasy-like spot. But I was proven wrong very quickly. Dre who was the bouncer and I'd much rather call Drayden, is young but friendly. The hall leading down to the entrance was well decorated. This time was checking…read moreout a speakeasy located in the heart of downtown Gilbert on a Friday evening at 9 p.m. I parked for free on the street before making my way to The White Rabbit. There are some things I really love about The White Rabbit and some that I didn't. Ambiance (3/5): When I think of a speakeasy, I think intimate. The White Rabbit is not that. It's pretty large for a speakeasy with a large bar and a good number of tables/booths. They weren't at capacity while I was there, but there were a good number of people there. Which made it pretty loud. To the point where you have to yell at your bartender when ordering your drink so they can hear you. Perhaps a much different experience on a week day. Getting in the speakeasy was both a hit and a miss. If you're subscribed to their email list, as I am, you get a different password every month. I was excited about this. Upon approaching The White Rabbit, I saw a sign naming the establishment and pointing me in the right direction. This takes away from the spirit of speakeasies which are supposed to be truly hidden without any signage identifying the restaurant. You'll see a velvet rope blocking a stairwell where you tell one of the bouncers the password. I had a reservation. If you don't know the password, as another party there didn't, they ask you to access a QR code to find out or ask others who are waiting. I appreciated the dedication to the cause. Once you get in, you walk down the stairwell, and then enter a cool hallway decked out with Prohibition-style decor. That leads you into the main room. The main room is also Prohibition-style though a bit unremarkable. The bathrooms are clean and also feature some cool paintings (and they also hide that they are actual bathrooms). With that being said, when I liked the hallway and the bathrooms better than the bar itself, that's a bit of an issue. Seats at the bar are bar stools without back support. Never fun for my old man back. I did, on the other hand, appreciate that they have free WiFi. Service (3.5/5): The service was generally pretty good, though a bit slow. They start you off with some water without asking you which is always a nice touch. It was just one of those situations where you have to put some effort into getting a bartender's attention on several occasions. Food (N/A): I had dinner prior so no food for me. I did check out the menu. They have a small selection of appetizers, flatbreads, and desserts. Drinks (3/5): When I'm at a speakeasy, I'm looking for creativity and an interesting blend of ingredients and flavors. While The White Rabbit has a good number of cocktails, many of them didn't attract me. Part of it is a matter of personal preference. There were only two drinks out of about 20 that I was interested in. Overall, I wanted a little more, but with that being said, the drinks were reasonably priced for a speakeasy. Not a bad speakeasy by any means, I have super high standards when it comes to these watering holes. Just not in my top five when it comes to speakeasies in Phoenix and surrounding areas.

He was delightful and circled back again at the end of the evening. Between the beautiful patio, excellent food, and genuinely friendly staff, Buck & Rider made my birthday dinner feel special. We had a fantastic evening.

It had been quite some time since I had last been, and my most recent visit didn't disappoint. Every time I've ever been here, it's always been busy during the dinner rush, but service has always remained quick and attentive. It certainly isn't what I would call a "fine dining" experience, but it's upscale enough and has good enough food to feel like a meaningful night out with family, friends, or your partner. For an appetizer, we enjoyed their bread and butter, which was fantastic. The bread also came with olive oil and seasonings to dip it in, which was also very tasty. For dinner, I enjoyed their grilled cod with French and sweet potato fries, as well as coleslaw. While the fish was slightly overcooked, the meal overall was still delicious, filling , and well worth the trip back to High Tide. Definitely swing in if you've never been!

I had ice tea and wife ordered the blood orange jenny drink; both were great and refreshing! I also ordered a loaf of their warmed sourdough and butter to share with the table. Almost like being in San Francisco! For dinner we decided to share a couple of things; the crab cakes, which comes with fried avocado and some of the best aioli for dipping. The cakes themselves are big and full of crab with just the right amount of filling to create a decadent and moist cake! We also shared the seared jumbo scallops...High Tides knows how to cook scallops to the best! So yummy and tender and perfectly cooked with that crispy outer and the soft, creamy inside. We also shared a Caesar salad and one of the things we love about this place...ask and you can get some fresh anchovy on the side to add to the salad. Wife always asks for more lemon as well to drizzle over the salad. Overall a fantastic dinner for us and everyone with us!
