I had a great experience during the lunch hours and have previously been for dinner! First of all the food is amazing! Everything is hand crafted and you can tell the company/staff pours into creating a great menu and experience. My fiance and I were in for lunch our server was Kyle T, he was amazing! He explained the menu and what certain dishes were. Beyond amazing service, our glasses of water were kept full the entire time same with our bellies!! The manager was also amazing they took great care of us. I 100% recommend North Italia in Gilbert. The ambience was great as well, everything is very clean and welcoming! The experience we had left us so happy and grateful for the people we encountered. Thank you!!! read more

It was NOT what I was expecting... in the absolute best way!!! We went to North Italia to celebrate two birthdays, and what I thought was going to be just another Italian restaurant turned out to be so much more. The ambiance, the service, the wait time, the food -- everything was a 10/10! Would I recommend this spot? ABSOLUTELY. We will definitely be back! I ordered a pasta dish that our server told me was amazing. I've heard that at other restaurants before, only for the dish to arrive and be just... alright. But this one was everything she said it would be AND MORE! You could actually taste every individual flavor. It wasn't one big mashup where everything tasted the same -- each flavor made its own appearance and complemented the others perfectly. Easily one of those dishes you're still thinking about after you leave! The rest of our table ordered a little bit of everything, from pizza and chicken to seafood, and not a single dish disappointed. When they say FRESH! They mean it! They fresh drinks are amazing as well. They were also incredibly accommodating to the children in our group. They provided drawing tablets for the little ones, which was such a thoughtful touch and definitely appreciated by the parents! They also took the time to recognize both birthdays, which made our celebration feel even more special. Between the atmosphere, the service, the attention to detail, and food that genuinely lived up to the hype, North Italia completely exceeded my expectations. 10/10 experience and absolutely somewhere I'd recommend -- whether you're celebrating something special or just looking for a really good meal. We'll definitely be returning! Glad that a random selection just became a staple restaurant. read more

I don't know what's going on with this place today but we went to try and celebrate my daughter's birthday and we're 100% completely ignored!! Walked in and couldn't get anybody to say hi to us. We were behind a big gathering but had trouble getting acknowledgment. The customers behind us finally got someone's attention and they offered both of our party's seating at the high top tables by the bar. Took somebody a few minutes to get the table cleared but then that was the last time we were acknowledged! We sat there for nearly 15 minutes watching waiters, the manager, bartenders and everybody walk by our table. Not one person looked up to give us a smile, nob, or notification they would come back. It was busier than normal but we were COMPLETELY IGNORED! Finally, I got pissed off and walked up to the front desk and gave them back our menus. I told them after 15 minutes no one has acknowledged us. Rather than anyone try to solve the problem they just started at us so we walked out! Horrible experience. And again, people were walking by our table for 15 minutes with and without items in their hands and NO ONE said ANYTHING! The manager in the pink shirt walked by twice and didn't notice us! A shame that they decided to ruin my daughter's birthday with the lack of customer service read more

Sure the ambiance was great but been here a few times and the service and food serving size does not match the price. Our server didn't seem to want to serve our table, we had to chase her down to refill our drinks. For us, it's not worth coming back --I'd rather go to Rigatony's read more

Came here for a seminar. The food was included. Plenty of off street parking. The food was very good considering it's a chain. They have a nice covered area with fans and misters ,if you're in the mood to dine outside. They start with olive oil with balsamic vinegar. I wish they had the oil separate, the vinegar took away the flavor of the oil. They served it with the crusty bread. Next was a simple salad, fresh and good. Very tasty My entire was bolognese over pappardelle. The pasta was homemade. It was amazing. Dessert was tiramisu. It was light and creamy. Service was quick and efficient. read more

North Italia has a great vibe whether you are relaxing on the large shaded patio or  sitting inside. It's the perfect spot to meet up with family and friends or even enjoy a solo meal. We started with the Cacio e Pepe Arancini with crispy risotto, pecorino romano, crushed pepper blend, and pesto aioli, and it absolutely did not disappoint. Crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and packed with flavor. For our entrees we ordered the fig and prosciutto pizza and the breakfast carbonara, and both were terrific. The pizza had the perfect balance of sweet and salty flavors, while the carbonara was rich, comforting, and delicious. In addition to tea, lemonade, and soda, they also offer specialty alcohol-free drinks. I tried the Faux Me Twice with n/a sauvignon blanc, strawberry, pineapple, and smashed citrus. It was fresh, refreshing, and a great addition to the meal. Kyleigh, our server, was great and helped make the whole experience even better.it is always nice when your drinks are refilled without having to ask. Honestly, you really can't go wrong here. Nothing on the menu will disappoint read more

North Italia is one of my favorite restaurants. The food is always delicious and that's why I keep going back. Went in for my birthday this evening and as always got the Arancini and white truffle garlic bread for apps, again as always soo good. My the main I got the Agnolotti al Pomodoro which was a first for me and oh man it is definitely my new favorite. Noodles filled with warm ricotta in a tomato sauce drizzled with a pesto oil, it is PERFECTION!!! For dessert I was given a brownie Sunday which was also good. The reason for the 3 stars is service was unbearably slow. We waited 15 minutes just to put in drink orders after seated and the wait just kept getting longer between everytime our server came over. I would of probably got another drink if I didn't know it would Be 20-30 minutes before I saw it. Again food and atmosphere is always amazing very disappointed is the service this evening. read more

This was our first time here I really enjoyed the variety of items available. We sat outside on their patio, very spacious and the lighting was very easy on the eyes. We tried multiple appetizers, my favorite was the eggplant parmigiana it was amazing. All the appetizers and entrees we tried were good. The service was excellent as well everyone worked together to get our food out in a timely manner. read more

We've frequented North many times over the years at their other locations and have stopped in to the one in Gilbert a few times as well. The restaurant is casual enough for meeting with friends but also one of my favorites for date night with my husband. Reservations are offered through their website if you're going on a popular evening, but we tend to make one for other days as well, just in case, to be seated promptly upon arrival. Their menu consists pasta & pizza dishes, salads, etc. that are modern Italian. My favorites from the appetizers are the Zucca Chips (although these do tend to be pretty salty) & White Truffle Garlic Bread. I can't think of anything I haven't liked yet, but some notable mentions are their Funghi pizza, Prosciutto pizza, Seasonal Vegetable Salad, and the Strozzalreti pasta dish. All delicious. They do have a kids menu for the littles; I've been here with my 5 year old and he really likes their Spaghetti & Meatballs. If you're in the area, give them a try. There are other locations around the valley as well. read more

11/15/25 SE valley errands, furniture, home improvement late lunch and haircut. stop. Parking 5/5 First shot front parking, timing is everything because it was a full lot. Ambiance 5/5 Coveted in previous visits. Service 5/5 Our hostess and server tonight took great care of us. This has been true every visit! Food 3/5 It was a sub-par night after such a great run of visits. North Italian has become one of our favorite places to visit for modern Italian. We both ordered the pan sautéed mushrooms which came out cold and no creamy garlic sauce. It normally comes out sizzling hot. The mushroom cluster bases were intact. Someone in the kitchen was rushed or untrained. Very disappointed and we both sent them back. My wife had a Cesar Salad and I stayed the course and chose the Crushed Ravioli. Mine came out almost room temperature, another big surprise. The flavor was great but not served properly. The manager (same gentleman for all visits) removed both orders of Pan seared mushrooms. Our server felt bad but we let her know it was the kitchen that fell short tonight not her service. $53.50 after removing both orders of mushrooms and $20 cash for great service. Putting North Italian on timeout. Balls and strikes my friends-SYOY! read more

I enjoyed the food and service so much on my first visit that I came back a second time, this time with my husband for our monthly date night. You We had a 6:45 p.m. reservation made weeks in advance. Although we were seated around 7:00, we didn't receive our main courses until almost 8:00 p.m. The food was excellent, just like the first visit. I ordered the squid ink tonnelli and my husband had the bolognese--both were delicious. I understand it's a busy time of year, but waiting close to an hour for entrées was disappointing. Our server was apologetic and said she wasn't sure what was going on with the kitchen, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, it ended up being a no-dessert night--we were ready to leave by then. Due to the long wait, we'll likely stick with Buck & Rider where we usually dine. read more

An excellent spot for Italian food in Gilbert. Great location after a day out and about! The inside is nice. Plenty of seating throughout as well as seating at the bar. I really enjoyed the ambiance and loved the lighting to set the mood. There is a large outdoor patio, too. There are TVs that had the game on but didn't take away from the overall setting. The menu here is pretty straightforward for an Italian spot. A nice mix of traditional Italian dishes and their own spins on some. The pizzas are very good; highly recommend - the hot honey and smoked prosciutto pizza is phenomenal. Portions are nicely sized, too! We got treated to the truffle bread appetizer and it was delicious. Kids menu is decent and the portions are good sizes as well. Their drinks menu was nice and had some good looking cocktails! Great selection and full bar. Large selection of wine as well. North is a great for a special occasion, date night, or happy hour. Definitely will be back. Excellent service during our visit as well. read more

We were a party of 6, walked in for dinner. We had to wait for about 30-40 mins or so! The parking was ample in this location and the vibe was great! Good stuff for a night out with friends! Once we got seated our server took really good care of us! I had the prosecco, my husband got a glass of red wine, and rest of our friends got the holiday special drinks! For appetizers we got the calamari, margarita pizza, the vegetable salad, and garlic bread. The Calamari was on the saltier side. The pizza was okay! We had better. It was not the best. Just average! However the Salad and the Garlic bread was winner. The whipped Ricotta that came with the bread was chef's kiss! For entree's most of us got the Chicken Pesto and Seafood Pasta! The Pasta on the Chicken Pesto was slightly over done not Andante! Finished the night with some Tiramisu. The Tiramisu was delicious! I wish the pizza and pasta were better. Otherwise we had a great time. I can't thank our server enough for being patient and kind to us! Definitely coming back to try some more new items from the menu! read more

How have I not previously written a review for North Italia? We LOVE North Italia! Every experience is a positive one. The wait is sometimes long but that's because the world knows how great it is. The dining area is clean, spacious, and comfortable. The food is ahhhhmazing and the service is typically great as well. Love, love, love North Italia! read more

Been here twice now and happy for the most part First time I felt the pizza was a bit too salty and the cheese was off some how The salad we had was fantastic, can't remember which (whoops) My friend enjoyed everything tho We went around lunch time and were seated right away wasn't too busy, service was okay. Waitress didn't feel approachable Second time went at 6pm on a Sunday it was pretty busy but we were sat right away. Around 7pm people were waiting Even busy, our waitress was very pleasant and patient. I really really enjoyed the butter nut polenta and my margherita pizza was good. My bf got the Parmesan chicken and the taste was okay and chicken was too dry. I also felt the pasta was just okay (so did he) This can be a good spot to meet up for lunch or for a date or even eat by yourself. It has a bit of romantic vibes at night, candles lit. Parking can be a bit tight For the price and quality of food I gave 4 stars read more

Lovely atmosphere throughout the restaurant and patio. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food and not a crumb was left behind. This place is crazy busy on a Friday night, but we managed to obtain a table for four. We ordered the D2 Red Blend which was excellent! We ordered the Cacio e Pepe Arancini, wild shrimp scampi, yellowtail crudo, prosciutto 23 pizza, and tiramisu for dessert. All excellently presented and loved all the infused flavors! The staff were on point which is the reason I gave 5 stars. Amazing service, ambience and location!! We will return!! read more

I've been meaning to visit this place for a while now, and I finally got the chance to go for dinner on a Saturday night with my girls. We had a reservation, and when we walked in, the indoor seating was completely full, so we were seated on the patio. And honestly? What a beautiful setup. The patio is such a lovely space to hang out in, I can already tell it's going to be a total hit during the summer months. Our server was incredibly sweet and attentive. She gave us great wine and food suggestions, which we truly appreciated. I went with a white wine, and for food we ordered the funghi pizza, strozzapreti pasta, and a side of Brussels sprouts. The pizza was so good I could've easily finished the whole thing myself! The toasted mushrooms and smoked mozzarella added such lovely depth of flavor. The strozzapreti was equally delicious. You could really taste the pine nuts, and the roasted chicken brought a rich, comforting flavor to the dish. The only letdown was the Brussels sprouts they were overly fried and felt a bit too burnt for our liking. Overall, it's a really good spot, and I'd definitely come back to try more from their menu. read more

I am a big fan of North Italia and have been a frequent visitor of the Arcadia location for years. They are part of Fox Restaurant Concepts and we are lucky to have a number of them here in the Valley. Sam Fox calls this place his "love letter to Italy". North Italia is a modern take on made-from-scratch traditional Italian dishes prepared daily with fresh, seasonal ingredients. I recently came here to this location in Gilbert one late night with friends just before closing time. This North location is quite spacious. The restaurant itself is inviting and has a nice relaxed atmosphere to it. The Pig (with Italian sausage and San Marzano tomato sauce) and Bacon & Egg Pizza are some of the popular pizza selections. They also have a variety of wines and small plates to choose from like the signature Prosciutto Bruschetta with Crescenza cheese and grilled asparagus. I love their spaghetti & braised meatball plate. But tonight, I was all about their Bolognese pasta dish. I was in heaven eating that pasta. Our service was great despite our late arrival. If you love great tasting casual Italian food, this is a nice place to stop in for a little taste of Italy. read more

Normally, I'm a fan of the location in Gilbert but tonight flat out sucked. Adding this to the list of places I won't be coming back to. 15 minutes to greet us after we sat down. 20 minutes before we got water brought to the table. The food didn't turn out well. I can't even believe I'm taking the time to write this review. I'm sure they are normally better but tonight was really bad. read more

Food is great however the prices are out of control for neighbor joint. $27 for a small pizza and $16 for "good bread" the drinks like tea or sodas were $4.45 the "gem" salad with chicken was tiny and at $23.00. So lunch for two was $95.00 without tip .. If I want to pay $115 dollars for lunch I will go to Scottsdale where the ambience and vibes are better. We sat at the bar but there was plenty of table seating too. Clean menus, nice bartender and other employees around helping. Nice chill atmosphere for couples and singles. Lots of choices for lunch but, we chose breakfast because it is served until 4 pm . This is my favorite restaurant hands down, I come here every year for my birthday and any other time my wallet allows! The interior is very intimate with moody lighting, the patio is huge and inviting and they have an extra room for big parties or just extra seating. The only thing I don't like here is their dessert, I have yet to find a good one unfortunately. read more

Restaurant Week Regular menu is pricey. It's just pasta, after all. Ambiance doesn't feel Italian. Music is mellow contemporary, decor is very Spartan (mostly covered windows). One entire wall is the bar, and it is open to the outside. It didn't feel like Italy at all (and, yes, I have been to Italy). I ordered the Sicilian meatballs, Bolognese, and chocolate gelato Meatballs were good. Served on bed of polenta, which was very good. A nice dish. I'd order this again. Bolognese was average. Not bad, but didn't knock my socks off, either. The spicy rigatoni my wife ordered was better, more robust flavors. I would opt for the rigatoni over the Bolognese. The gelato was gelato. It was good. Angel was very friendly, but easily distracted. She would disappear for long stretches, apparently talking with kitchen staff. Which was a little annoying when we were trying to check-out, and get our "waters to go". read more

I always enjoy North Italia - their food is always pretty consistent at all their locations. We were in the area so met me in-laws for dinner on a Monday night around 6. We had a reservation and were seated right away. It was pretty busy for a Monday!! We had the meatballs as an appetizer to share - comes with 3, so if you have more people, it may be worth it to ask if they can add any to the order. I ordered the specialty pizza which was a spicy sausage pizza. It was delicious, but not spicy at all. My husband ordered the spicy rigatoni vodka pasta. This one had a little kick and had so much flavor with the pancetta. For dessert, we shared the brookie sundae. It was a large dessert, so I'm glad we shared. It was rich with the 3 flavors of gelato, the chocolate sauce, bananas, strawberries, and pecans. I never have a bad meal at North Italia. Our service could've been a little better - our waters were never refilled during the whole meal. That is the one thing that could've been improved upon. read more

I have an issue with the fact that the hostesses here will only sit a solo diner at the bar or in a table surrounded by discarded strollers for other tables. Finally had the chance to check out North Italia. It's been on my list since forever! I was not disappointed with my visit. I came in on a late Sunday night. No wait time, friendly service, and even better food and drinks. We started off with their arancini and white truffle garlic bread...sooo yummy!! I couldn't decide on what pasta to have for my main course but ended up having their new lasagna plate. It was the perfect amount of spice and cheese! I did feel like it was a bit too runny on my first few bites but as it cooled down and the lasagna noodles absorbed more of the sauce it was the most perfect comfort food plate. The vibe of this location was beautiful, modern look with dimmed lights perfect for a date/girls night. I can also imagine it being amazing for lunch as the space is open with many windows to being in some daylight. read more
