We decided to pop in at lunch time last week and we were seated immediately, everyone was great start to finish bet kind and helpful staff. Food was delicious! We ordered cheeseburgers and salads one Cesar salad and one BLT salad, both were great with a very tasty burger! So good that we are going back for Valentine's Day!!! Must try! Great food, service and atmosphere!

We came here a few years ago and weren't quite sure why we didn't return sooner--possibly because of the long wait for our food. Nevertheless, we decided to give it another try. This time, the wait was shorter, though still noticeable. That said, the food was absolutely chef's kiss! We ordered the Tomahawk Pork Chop--grilled pork chop with sticky hot honey, fresh pico, and charred carrots--and also had steak and shrimp, both cooked to perfection. Overall, it's a great place for a dinner date, a group dinner, or a family get-together if you don't mind a bit of a wait.

It was last day of restaurant week so I decided to come here for their set menu. The service and ambiance were amazing. We all enjoyed the prime rib as our main course and the crème brûlée cheesecake! My black diamond tasted great. But my prime rib came with a lot of fat. I asked the waitress how big is the steak and it was 13 oz. I think mine came with 4 oz of fat. Not sure why the chef thought I like eating fat? I did love my steak. I felt cheated that's all.

Firebirds in Gilbert, Arizona was an absolute surprise--in the best way. I went for my birthday dinner, and I can't believe I had never heard of or eaten here before! The bacon deviled eggs were phenomenal, packed with flavor and perfectly balanced. The loaded baked potato was also phenomenal, rich, hearty, and done just right. My steak was cooked perfectly, exactly to order, tender and flavorful. My husband got the same thing but, got the Parmesan mashed potatoes instead and said they were delicious. The only small downsides were that it's kind of dark inside and the kids' hamburger could've been more flavorful, as it didn't seem very seasoned. That said, neither took away from how great the overall experience was. It made for a wonderful birthday dinner, and I'll definitely be back!

11/8/25: still superb. My sister wanted excellent food to celebrate the big 5-0 mile marker and Firebirds was her choice. It did not disappoint. They added peppers to the creamy deviled eggs but luckily they were not IN the eggs, just laying on top (easily picked off & discarded). The tomahawk pork chop was excellent seasoned, the au gratin potatoes were a bit crusty on top (could have done w/o that) and the grilled street corn was cold (not sure if that is normal ... ?). My sister enjoyed her prime rib immensely. Despite my crunchy taters & cold corn, it was still a wonderful meal. Our server, Danielle, was polite & attentive. No complaints there. It is a bit pricey, which is why we have only visited for very special occasions. If you're ever looking to treat yourself, Firebirds is a great place.

The atmosphere is very dim lit and peaceful. The staff were extremely kind as well. The food was ok. I got a Caesar salad, which was absolutely incredible with the garlic ranch. My steak and potatoes were pretty under seasoned though and I found myself reaching for the salt and pepper throughout most of the meal. The bacon butter didn't add as much flavor as you'd think, but wasn't bad. Excellent cut of juicy meat though, and it was cooked perfectly, so that's something worth noting. The creme brulee cheesecake was pretty tasty as well, although not much caramelization on top, just really thick sugar glass basically. Not a huge fan of the Hershey's chocolate syrup, but that's just me. All in all, it was a tasty meal. I just wasn't as blown away as I thought I'd be.

Fillet was prepared nicely. Potatoes rather like paste.

I was excited for date night, but it was spontaneous & didn't have reservations... oops! We walked in on a Saturday night & it was hoppin'. We knew it was going to be a minute & we were pleased when the 40 minute quote ended up being more like 20. The hostess was sweet & personable. She led us to a table in the bar area next to the fireplace. It was a decent spot, but the table hadn't been wiped down & was all sticky. The hostess apologized & quickly took care of it. We took our seats & it didn't take long for our server to greet us. He was friendly, introduced himself & took our drink order. I guess I was expecting something a bit higher-end. It was more casual, family & group oriented. Our waiter filled us in on a few things & got us our drinks, but then disappeared for what seemed like a very long time. He did mention he was new, I always have patience for that -- I've been in his shoes -- I asked about the salmon & he left again to research its origins... Farmed was the verdict. We ordered our starters & meals. Salads were fine. My man had the prime rib. It was more fat than meat. My filet was cooked properly -- medium-rare, but my mashed potatoes were dense & quite paste-like. I "borrowed" some au jus from my man. My plate, lackluster, with no garnish. I was cold the whole time. The wine was tasty. It took a while for the check to come & was pricy considering the quality. I don't think we'll need to go again. Maybe for bites at the bar with friends, but it's not on our favorites list for date-night.

Evening Yelpers, Arizona restaurant week is here!! Our choice was Firebirds on Williams Field. Easy to make a reservation on open door. Table was ready at 5!! We had a special day my wife's 75th birthday. My choice was Pineapple Wood Grilled Chicken. The sweetness of the pineapple added a great flavor to enjoy. 2 big pieces filled the plate with seasoned veggies. Our friend enjoyed the wood Fired Petite Filet was outstanding and prepared as Tom ask for it. Jeff our server did an amazing job with how busy the restaurant was during this time. Keep checking with us as he took care of other guests. Seth the bar manager even stopped to welcome us right after we sat down. When a restaurant makes you feel so welcome, to me that is going above the expectations of how to treat your customers!!

We went here this Thursday for the first time. Our server Alyssa was so helpful in exploring the menu and she even brought out a sauce tester for my husband to make sure it wasn't too spicy for him. (He had already expressed he's not a fan of spicy) I got the steak and frites which they said was a new menu item that started yesterday. Boy, am I glad I would eat it every week! My husband loved the steak sandwich but also said he would go steak frites as well! All of the staff were amazing; and the inside was super cute with their art and decor.

I came here with a group of colleagues. This was a great spot for an upscale dinner. We started with several appetizers for the table. Several people ordered steaks. I had the firebirds chicken pasta for my main entrée. The portions were very large. I probably will have two leftover meals, which is wonderful. The cocktail I ordered was fruity and refreshing. We were seated immediately. We did not have to wait. The restaurant is quite large, but was busy on a Tuesday night. Our service was prompt and friendly overall a great new place to add to the list of go to spots in Chandler.

The food, the vibes, the service, all chef's kiss! I heard great reviews for Firebirds from others and finally got a chance to experience it myself, and it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious with impressive portions. I recommend the Ranch Rings as a starter. I don't normally care for onion rings, but I really enjoyed theirs. The Firebirds Chicken Pasta has a slight kick of spice, but it wasn't overpowering (impatiently waiting for the next visit so I can have this pasta again). Others in my party had steaks and burgers--heads up that the burger is huge! Definitely worth trying, and expect a hearty meal. Don't forget to save room for dessert! They are shareable sizes; I'd say a good size for 2-3 depending on how big your sweet tooth is. The lemon cake blew me away--that blueberry sauce is a wonderful touch for flavor. Carrot cake was also a winner in my book. Not pictured but deserves a shout-out is the chocolate brownie sundae--it can get a little rich/sweet after the first few bites though.

Why is this place so impossible to set a 2 person reservation? Is it truly that busy or will I have luck walking in?

You can make a reservation by picking a date, time, & party size. Either through Open Table or thru their website. I would suggest picking an "off time" when they're not as busy, so you'll have better service.

I kicked off our 90-minute experience with the Blackberry Yuzu Margarita, and it was the perfect balance of crisp, sweet, and tart. In between cocktails, we shared a couple of snacks that were such a welcome addition -- something you sadly don't always find at local speakeasies! Of course, this place is known for its cocktails, so naturally they should be great--but trust me, I've been to several cocktail-only establishments that were lackluster. Absolutely NOT the case here. You could literally put all the pages of the menu on a wall, throw a dart, and whatever you hit would be delicious and interesting in its own right. The place is a little small, but honestly, that's what I love about it. It feels cozy in all the right ways. It's also very relaxing, floating along the sea with some delightful surprises here and there. We ordered several drinks, but one that's not on the menu (and they do make it) is the Pearl Diver, which is magnificent here. The mixologists and servers are all amazing and should be proud of themselves for bringing such an experience to Gilbert.

The bartender was very, very informative and he let us know that they will give you your first dose of Kava for free to try it. I could not choke all of it down. My friend was a trooper goddess, and she choked the whole thing. I was so impressed by her I am very sensitive to things. I am a big baby sometimes so I did not drink the rest of mine because immediately I had a gag reflex going on lol So I did not drink the initial dose, but I ordered the Horchata beverage that had cover in it. And they have different doses, strengths and different styles of, so this is just what I ordered. It was the last light, on the menu he suggested for us. But I was proven wrong very quickly. Dre who was the bouncer and I'd much rather call Drayden, is young but friendly. The hall leading down to the entrance was well decorated. This time was checking…read moreout a speakeasy located in the heart of downtown Gilbert on a Friday evening at 9 p.m. I parked for free on the street before making my way to The White Rabbit. There are some things I really love about The White Rabbit and some that I didn't. Ambiance (3/5): When I think of a speakeasy, I think intimate. The White Rabbit is not that. It's pretty large for a speakeasy with a large bar and a good number of tables/booths. They weren't at capacity while I was there, but there were a good number of people there. Which made it pretty loud. To the point where you have to yell at your bartender when ordering your drink so they can hear you. Perhaps a much different experience on a week day. Getting in the speakeasy was both a hit and a miss. If you're subscribed to their email list, as I am, you get a different password every month. I was excited about this. Upon approaching The White Rabbit, I saw a sign naming the establishment and pointing me in the right direction. This takes away from the spirit of speakeasies which are supposed to be truly hidden without any signage identifying the restaurant. You'll see a velvet rope blocking a stairwell where you tell one of the bouncers the password. I had a reservation. If you don't know the password, as another party there didn't, they ask you to access a QR code to find out or ask others who are waiting. I appreciated the dedication to the cause. Once you get in, you walk down the stairwell, and then enter a cool hallway decked out with Prohibition-style decor. That leads you into the main room. The main room is also Prohibition-style though a bit unremarkable. The bathrooms are clean and also feature some cool paintings (and they also hide that they are actual bathrooms). With that being said, when I liked the hallway and the bathrooms better than the bar itself, that's a bit of an issue. Seats at the bar are bar stools without back support. Never fun for my old man back. I did, on the other hand, appreciate that they have free WiFi. Service (3.5/5): The service was generally pretty good, though a bit slow. They start you off with some water without asking you which is always a nice touch. It was just one of those situations where you have to put some effort into getting a bartender's attention on several occasions. Food (N/A): I had dinner prior so no food for me. I did check out the menu. They have a small selection of appetizers, flatbreads, and desserts. Drinks (3/5): When I'm at a speakeasy, I'm looking for creativity and an interesting blend of ingredients and flavors. While The White Rabbit has a good number of cocktails, many of them didn't attract me. Part of it is a matter of personal preference. There were only two drinks out of about 20 that I was interested in. Overall, I wanted a little more, but with that being said, the drinks were reasonably priced for a speakeasy. Not a bad speakeasy by any means, I have super high standards when it comes to these watering holes. Just not in my top five when it comes to speakeasies in Phoenix and surrounding areas.

They have a separate area with a small shop and cafe with desserts and some grab and go items. I will be back to try a coffee! My friend and I came here for the pre-set restaurant week menu. I made a reservation the night before, but it wasn't too busy while we were there on a Tuesday at 530pm. Our server Allison was great and very attentive. For appetizers we tried the whipped goat cheese spread and wagyu meatballs. I thought the goat cheese spread was delicious! For entrees we choose the pasta pomodoro and the farmers market pizza which were both very tasty. The pizza had so much flavor l, especially the crust, and the texture of the pasta was perfect!! For dessert we tried the affogato and apricot cheesecake. Oh My Gosh that cheesecake was the BEST dessert I've had in a while!!!! You have to try it and I can't recommend it enough!!!! I can't wait to come back!!

When I arrived and spoke with spouse he had already been waiting 20+ minutes. When I checked in with hostess to see if there had been any changes I was promptly schooled that "he was told "XYZ" and there's one table ahead of us still... I disregarded that vibe, figured because it was "busy" or because it was "Saturday evening" and everywhere is busy... I felt the senior hostess was curt when I inquired about the status of our wait, so I tried to brush it off. Just inefficient all the way around. From seating and neglecting to ask about seating preference (could there have been a shorter wait?), initial greeting by server, or was it a bus boy?, beverage order and wait for food. Couldn't even get a full glass of water poured or full carafe brought to the table while we waited for service. It was all very disappointing and I feel completely led astray by the ratings and reviews. I truly can not believe we waited 1 1/2 hrs just to be seated so we could eat pizza. Oh, but wait! It's pizza on 130 year old sourdough yeast?! Whatever. The pizza was alright, but the entire experience certainly didn't improve the taste of the pizza. Tourist trap? Maybe. Trendy? Because it's located in downtown Chandler? And then there's the parking scenario. If you're staying at the San Marcos or the other hotel downtown, walking here will be quicker than trying to find a parking spot. Carpool would be my other suggestion because parking really is a premium. And I want to add, the hostess never came to let us know a table was ready. We were only offered a table when my son went in to check the status. Only then did he get asked if we would be open to outdoor seating. Maybe Brunch has something more to offer. IDK. But I'm certainly not inclined to recommend or dine here again.

It had been quite some time since I had last been, and my most recent visit didn't disappoint. Every time I've ever been here, it's always been busy during the dinner rush, but service has always remained quick and attentive. It certainly isn't what I would call a "fine dining" experience, but it's upscale enough and has good enough food to feel like a meaningful night out with family, friends, or your partner. For an appetizer, we enjoyed their bread and butter, which was fantastic. The bread also came with olive oil and seasonings to dip it in, which was also very tasty. For dinner, I enjoyed their grilled cod with French and sweet potato fries, as well as coleslaw. While the fish was slightly overcooked, the meal overall was still delicious, filling , and well worth the trip back to High Tide. Definitely swing in if you've never been!

I had ice tea and wife ordered the blood orange jenny drink; both were great and refreshing! I also ordered a loaf of their warmed sourdough and butter to share with the table. Almost like being in San Francisco! For dinner we decided to share a couple of things; the crab cakes, which comes with fried avocado and some of the best aioli for dipping. The cakes themselves are big and full of crab with just the right amount of filling to create a decadent and moist cake! We also shared the seared jumbo scallops...High Tides knows how to cook scallops to the best! So yummy and tender and perfectly cooked with that crispy outer and the soft, creamy inside. We also shared a Caesar salad and one of the things we love about this place...ask and you can get some fresh anchovy on the side to add to the salad. Wife always asks for more lemon as well to drizzle over the salad. Overall a fantastic dinner for us and everyone with us!
