This was our second time visiting this restaurant. First time was right after they opened and we had a good/bad experience. So we thought we'd give it some time to get their service and food at the level necessary to sustain a healthy clientele. Well, things have improved tremendously. Jacob, our server, was superb. We had so much food and everything was amazing in taste and portion. Filets, prime rib all done to perfection. If I have to say a negative, it was whipped potatoes and asparagus. Whipped potatoes were not creamy ... I'm a mashed po fiend and these were not worth getting. Asparagus was woody. But grilled veggies and spinach were good. Drinks were very good but expensive. Bill was hard to decipher as we had two senior menu orders but were billed separately and then a minus so I'm not sure if we got overcharged. Didn't want to make a scene with our guests so I just paid as it was close enough. I hope this isn't a tactic ... Will we go back? Absolutely!!! read more

So impressed with this steakhouse! The atmosphere was perfect! Very upscale, quiet enough for an intimate dinner, and the best service! They were so attentive and aware of our needs. The pork chop bites we had as an appetizer were so phenomenal! We literally looked at each other and both of us were like "What?! How is this a pork chop?!" Must try! It was so fun to try the NY strip flight. It was the perfect amount of steak and a fun experience to try some new types of beef. The sides were great! The loaded mashed potatoes were the standout of the two we tried for sure. The dessert was not something I have ever seen on a menu before, nor something I might normally go for on a dessert menu, but I am SO glad we tried the chocolate crunch tower! This is our second time dining at Perry's in two weeks. First time was for our anniversary. Our experience for our anniversary felt so special! Multiple of the staff told us happy anniversary and there were rose pedals on the table. Alejandra was our server and she was great. Very attentive and always made sure my husband had his drink refilled. We got the pork chop appetizer (since we know they are famous for their pork chop. We had to try a small version of it) and it was delicious! We knew we had to come back for it next time. My husband got a ribeye and I got the filet with crab. We both very much enjoyed our meals! My filet was cooked perfectly rare, as I requested. We got a complimentary delicious chocolate cake for our anniversary. Great experience, service, and food. We knew we would be back. Fast forward two weeks, with restaurant week happening, we knew it would be the perfect time to try their famous pork chop. Jolene was our server and she was fantastic! Such a fun personality, really enjoyed her service! For restaurant week we got Caesar salad and French onion soup as an appetizer.Both great! And we both got the famous pork chop, as we came for. First, I absolutely love the fact that it is carved tableside, and the person carving. It talks all about it. What an experience I cannot believe how huge the pork chop was. I can eat a lot, and it looked like I didn't even make a dent. We have leftovers for days. But the pork chop truly is incredible and unlike any other pork chop I've ever had. Absolutely something we will be coming back for! Being so full, we brought our desserts to go. Excited to try them over the next few nights. Overall are too experiences were absolutely wonderful! We are so happy to have such a delicious steakhouse with great service on the east side, and don't have to drive to Scottsdale for it. We couldn't believe how busy they are even at 5:30. We went to Perry's to celebrate a birthday. The service was great with a modern vibe. The bar was very busy too, but we sat in the restaurant. You start off with complimentary bread and butter which is just average. I split with trio steak medallions with my sister, these were great, with the crab one being the best. The sides were decent. The Mac and cheese has a chipotle flavor, which I don't care for. The Brussel Sprouts were fine, but could have been crispier and tossed in more sauce. The creamed spinach was really good and the best side we had. We appreciated the complimentary birthday dessert which was a marshmallow bread pudding. This was huge and the chocolate was very rich, but delicious! Easy to share with up to 5-6 people. Overall, the food was good, but is pricey. read more

Unfortunately, the food just didn't live up to our expectations for a restaurant at this price point and level of reputation. I was really looking forward to the beef Wellington but it took 1.5 hours to arrive to the table and it was pretty horrible. It was very salty and the pastry was loose and undercooked. It wasn't anything like Gordon Ramsey's. The pork chop was pretty good. Caesar salad was also very salty. I did enjoy my dirty martini. This was my first time at Perry Steakhouse, and overall, it was a really nice experience. As soon as you pull up in the parking lot, you can tell that it's going to be a nice restaurant just by the grand size of the building and the valet guys right out front. We arrived right at 4:00 because that's when their happy hour starts, and we found a seat at the bar. Within five minutes, the bar was completely full. We ordered drinks and three items off their happy hour menu. We went with the Steak Bite tater tots, the Broiled seafood mushrooms, and the sliced fillet sliders that come with a side of crispy onions that are everything! All the dishes tasted great, and the bartenders were so nice. Sean, Dallas and Autumn took very good care of us. We will definitely be back for dinner to try out their regular menu. read more

We had never been here before and wanted to see if it lived up to the hype. I booked an online reservation a week in advance for our anniversary dinner, and we were seated quickly. I loved that they put flower petals on our table, which was definitely a highlight! They also offered us an Anniversary menu, but we declined. The restaurant was packed with families and corporate crowds, so it didn't feel very romantic. The complimentary bread and whipped butter were decent, but the wait times were terrible. It took 30 minutes for our appetizer and an hour and fifteen minutes into our reservation for our steak and lamb chops. Our sides weren't even ready when the main entrees arrived (though the manager did comp them for the wait). The mac n cheese arrived room temperature and the brussel sprouts were so dry. On top of that, the steak was overly salted. Since we ran out of time, I asked for my lamb to be packed to go. I was frustrated to find that the staff packed my lamb in the same container as my husband's leftover steak. As someone who doesn't eat beef, I had to throw my food away because the juices crossed. For that alone, I wanted to leave one star. Given the nice staff, three stars is generous, but we won't be back. read more

Went to Perry's to enjoy the Arizona restaurant week deal, and we were very impressed! On a Sunday night it was remarkably hopping, with tables filled and good energy all around. My guy is vegan, so he chose their vegan steak which was really impressive. Nice to have a steakhouse with a proper vegetarian/vegan option! He also had the citrus beet salad and that was refreshing and delightful. I chose the French onion soup - wow! I am super picky on French onion soup and this one knocked it out of the park. I could definitely taste the sherry in the beef broth, and what tasted like Gruyère cheese on top. I also had the 6oz filet Perry, which was resting on asparagus and then had lump crab on top. The lump crab and asparagus were great - BUT I felt like the filet meat was not super tender, not melt in your mouth like other restaurants.. I saw lots of other people trying the table sliced pork chop, and I will definitely try that next time. The lady behind me was ranting and raving about how tender it was. The peach paper airplane drink was absolutely fantastic!!! And he ordered a spicy "faux-loma" Paloma mocktail which was truly epic for someone who doesn't drink to enjoy an NA beverage that doesn't just taste like a bunch of fruit juices. It was very special! We also shared the au gratin potatoes which were fabulous and a large portion, and took our desserts to go. Had a mixed experience at this beautiful restaurant. The staff was excellent from start to finish. Since it was hubby's birthday, we wanted to order something memorable. We asked the server to start the Wellington immediately since we knew it takes longer. Unfortunately it still took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get our entrees. The pork chop was tasty and tender and the apple sauce was amazing. I honestly could have a bowl of that haha. Unfortunately the Wellington was overly salty. The outside pastry was very browned but the pastry underneath was undercooked. When I cut into it, it was very loose and completely fell apart. This was very disappointing as I had been looking forward to it. To their credit, they had removed the Wellington from our bill without us even asking them to. The Caesar salad was very salty with too much Parmesan and not enough dressing. I did like the presentation with a couple of anchovies on top. Steak and tater totter bites was pretty good. We ended up taking the fudge chocolate cake home and it was very good. The excellent service and how they handled the issue with the Wellington left us with a positive impression despite the disappointing food. This was my first experience at Perrry's Steakhouse at their new Gilbert San Tan Village location. It was a girls night out. Love the high ceilings the open space. It was pretty noisy inside the restaurant when I first arrived, the restaurant was full and the main dining room doesn't appear to have acoustical dampening. We were seated in a smaller side room. While the glass doors were open, it provided a more intimate setting and the carpeting and small space made for a much more bearable atmosphere to have nice dinner conversation. We each had the 4 for $44 promotion that is currently offered. 4 Course meal from Prix Fixe choices. I chose their seasonal soup, which was an Artichoke Potato Leek Soup with Truffle Oil, Broiled Seafood Stuffed Mushrooms, 18 oz Perry's Famous Pork Chop (lunch portion) and the Chocolate Crunch Tower. The standouts from my meal was the soup and the pork chop. The flavors from both of these was superb!! The mushrooms and the dessert were fine, pretty standard steakhouse dessert far, but just nothing worth really noting. Side note: My friend ordered the seasonal dessert, Orange Vanilla Cream Cheesecake. I was pleasantly surprised with this one. It was something different, flavor combination that I have not ever seen or tried for a cheesecake, and it was pretty good. The service from the moment we walked in was attentive and friendly. I recommended this place because espresso Marr are one of my favorite drinks. They have a salted caramel espresso martini, which was excellent at one of my best tasted drinks. I've had it quite some time. The ambience was excellent the dining room, the lighting all the decor, the wine locker in the middle of the dining room Private rooms are very discreet. The service was top shelf. They do have valet parking complementary and the food was excellent. We ordered a ribeye and it was cooked to perfection. The mushrooms were very good and the corn Brûlé was tasty. The char grilled oysters were OK. The oysters were sorta small, they had a lot of filling in them which was tasty but the oyster I could not taste that well because it was small. Also, I would highly recommend that you check this out. It's a great alternative to have a drive to Scottsdale for a fine dining experience right here in the neighborhood in Gilbert. Had dinner here last night with my mom and sister and booking a reservation online was quick and easy. We arrived right on time at 6:30pm and checked in with the hostesses. We waited a few minutes and we were then seated. Our server came over right away and introduced herself. She welcomed us in, gave us the 411 on the menu, and gave us time to look it over. We started out with 3 cocktail drinks. We ordered: 1 PERRY BERRY MULE Tito's Handmade vodka, fresh-pressed lime and cranberry juices, freshly-muddled strawberries, topped with ginger ale 1 THYME LEMON DROP Ketel One vodka, St-Germain Elderflower liqueur, fresh-pressed lemon juice, and freshly muddled thyme, rimmed with sugar 1 RASPBERRY REFRESHER Perry's Reserve Rosé, Hendrick's, fresh-pressed lemon juice, and freshly muddled raspberry and lychee Complimentary warm bread and butter were dropped off while we waited for our drinks. For a new and upcoming restaurant, it seems like they are getting really good traction. We went on a Friday night and it was pretty busy but the space was well laid out. Our server was really good and attentive so 5 stars on that! The drinks were all amazing. The old fashioned is a must try here! Now to the food: We waited a while for our food and my table ordered steaks, I had chicken. The Filet Perry was amazing per my partner, my friends had a 20oz cowboy ribeye and the filet & Lobster tail which they said was heavenly. My chicken had good flavor but was dry unfortunately. I didn't send back to the kitchen because I knew it would take a long time to get back. Overall good experience for a brand new restaurant getting into the rhythm but unfortunate that the one thing that saved the chicken from being edible was that there was sauce on it. read more

My husband and I visited Perry's Steakhouse & Grille Gilbert during opening week and had a wonderful experience. First impressions matter, and Ashley was one of the best hostesses we have encountered in a long time. She warmly welcomed us, kindly accommodated us with a great table, and set the tone for an exceptional evening. Our server, Jacob, was attentive, knowledgeable, and professional throughout the evening. Having enjoyed Perry's in Texas over the years, we were especially interested in seeing how the concept would translate to Arizona. We are happy to say the Gilbert team has done an excellent job preserving the quality, hospitality, and attention to detail that have made Perry's so successful. One of the highlights of the evening was the wine and champagne selection. We were delighted to find Ruinart Blanc de Blancs on the menu and enjoyed two bottles during dinner. It was a pleasant surprise to see a champagne program of this caliber so early after opening. If I could make one suggestion, I would love to see Ruinart Brut added in the future as well. The Beef Carpaccio was fresh and beautifully presented. The Blue Point Oysters were excellent, and the Pork Chop Bites were incredibly tender and flavorful. The applesauce pairing worked perfectly. I ordered the Japanese A5 Wagyu, which was cooked exactly as requested and showcased exceptional quality. My husband enjoyed the Koji Aged Steak, which offered wonderful flavor and tenderness and was a standout entrée. For dessert, we enjoyed the lemon bar and took home the Seven Finger High Chocolate Cake for the kids. Both were fantastic. We would also like to recognize Kevin, Philip, Kristin T., Knicki, TK, and Devon. The management team was visible, engaged, and clearly invested in creating a great guest experience. You could see the teamwork throughout the restaurant, with everyone working together to ensure things ran smoothly. Opening a restaurant is never easy, especially when bringing a well established concept into a new state. Five days after opening, the Gilbert team appears to have found its footing remarkably quickly, and great ambiance. Despite the crowds that come with a grand opening, the restaurant appeared well-prepared. I've been to several Perry's locations in the United States. I was thrilled to know that one opened in Gilbert and we went last night to celebrate my fiancé's birthday. Mr. Perry himself was present, and he was pitching in as if he worked there as a busser. He was meticulously reviewing the dining room, which was packed and helping pitch in wherever he could. That alone says so much for how these restaurants are run. Their training program must be top-tier, because our server has obviously only worked at this location for the two months it has been open, and yet it seemed as though she had been there for years. Stephanie Ponce is her name and her hospitality was unmatched. Every single recommendation she made was spot on for, not only my taste and what I was looking for but also the amazing flavor is indescribable. She was kind and thoughtful and attentive the entire evening. It has been a very long time since I have had such an experience at a restaurant that their food was so incredibly enjoyable and flavorful. Everything was cooked to perfection and they clearly care so much about their patrons. As an example, I made the reservation on OpenTable and OpenTable asks if you're celebrating something while you're there. I always note the occasion when I book a restaurant. It is literally been years since a restaurant even cared that I was there celebrating a birthday. Or said anything about it. The hostess acknowledged it, with enthusiasm, Stephanie acknowledged it immediately upon arriving at our table. They brought my fiancé's dessert with a candle, which was very sweet. And a handwritten birthday card from Perry's, that was so thoughtful. These details matter. My fiancé met Mr. Perry and he signed his birthday card for him. He was so humble and approachable and you can see why their amazing business has grown from a butcher shop 47 years ago to the fine dining experience that it is now. He cares deeply about their restaurants. The other thing I noticed is though the prices are representative of the food and the quality. They are much lower than other fine dining restaurants. Every single thing we had was remarkable. The drinks, the appetizers, the meals, the desserts. It was truly such an exceptional and enjoyable experience. Each employee we came in contact with was thoughtful and professional. Plates were cleared immediately, but they asked and didn't just take away food we were still eating. Even though they were booked solid, we didn't feel rushed, and our food was perfectly timed. I understand now why their pork chop is so famous, but every single thing we had was incredible. If you're contemplating celebrating an occasion or having a nice business dinner or just a great night out with your family, I highly recommend that you try out this restaurant. read more

I really wanted to love this place so we didn't have to drive to Scottsdale area for a nice steakhouse, but it didn't meet the mark. I'll start with the pros: service was phenomenal and reservations were easy to make! The lobster bisque was the best I've ever had and I loved the charred veggies. My husband ordered two old fashioned's (not sure why his weren't smoked and the rest around us were?) and I enjoyed the Dr. L riesling. Now for the cons: bread service is a nice touch, but it was very normal and nothing special (at least add sea salt). The steak had a nice char and cooked to perfection, but it felt a little tough for filet mignon. The lobster tails could use some serious seasoning- I had to cover in lemon juice and butter. The crème brûlée was a bit runny, and my husband said the fudge was too much cocoa. As for the atmosphere- this was the major miss for me. The music was SO loud, I felt like I had to shout. The waitress even misunderstood the wine bottle I ordered, I felt terrible! Also, the walk to the bathroom area and inside of it was incredibly sticky and was turning brown in the main walking path- ew. The staff didn't enforce the dress code and after we spent over $400 after tip, I would expect to not see cut off Jean shorts. I'm guessing it's because they had the private room reserved, but guests still walked inside and to the room/through the restaurant to the bathroom. read more

Adrian our server was so knowledgeable and guided us through the menu and gave great suggestions. We happened to be there on a Thursday which features a prime rib, and it was cooked to perfection. Even on a busy Saturday evening, the hostesses did an outstanding job managing the steady flow of guests. Check-in was smooth, organized, and welcoming. Our server this time was Gabriel, and just when we thought our previous server, Kelli, had set the bar high, Gabriel somehow raised it even higher. His professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the evening. There were a couple of small hiccups--one of our drinks wasn't prepared correctly, and our starter was served after the main course. However, what truly stood out wasn't the mistakes, but the way Gabriel handled them. He addressed each issue with such grace, sincerity, and professionalism that they never took away from our dining experience. In fact, his exceptional service turned what could have been negatives into examples of outstanding hospitality. Once again, the food was phenomenal, and Perry's continues to impress us with both the quality of its cuisine and the caliber of its staff. I am so glad I tried this new addition to the Gilbert restaurant scene! When I went they had a 44 year anniversary $44 special which was a great way to taste many things on the menu. I started with the seafood stuffed mushrooms, followed by the delicious truffle leek soup, chicken oscar as my main dish, topped off by a refreshing orange cheesecake. I also sampled a few of their cocktails, my favorite being the Perry Berry Mule and the Pineapple Mojito. The restaurant itself is modern , elegant and elevated, its very large and parking is a breeze. Service was stellar from the moment I made an online reservation throughout my entire meal. The restaurant is very large and was packed on a Sunday night (glad we had reservations)! A warm greeting at the door and we were seated promptly. It is a modern and polished ambiance. We had the pork chop Sunday and also shared macaroni and cheese and steak tartare. A highlight was the martini with citrus garnish and OYSTER and 3 blue cheese stuffed olives. All the food was delicious. A wonderful presentation carving the huge 32 ounce pork chop at the table. The meat was moist and fell off the bone. Loved that it came with applesauce. My wife and I recently tried Perry's in Gilbert, and first off, the restaurant is beautiful. The East Valley definitely needed a place like this, and the atmosphere feels upscale without being stuffy. We had reservations and were seated within about five minutes, which was impressive because the place was packed. It took a little while for our server to make it over, but we were in no rush. My wife ordered a Pinot Grigio, and I ordered a Diet Coke. My Diet Coke arrived exactly as advertised. Her Pinot Grigio arrived looking suspiciously like red wine. Minor issue, no big deal. We figured someone in the bar was feeling creative. We ordered the prime ribeye, the surf and turf pasta, potatoes au gratin, and Brussels sprouts. Then we settled in, had a great conversation, and watched every table around us get their orders taken and receive bread. We did not get bread. Fifteen minutes passed. Then 20. Then 30. Eventually, our server noticed the wine mistake, apologized, and brought the correct glass. Still no bread. A manager came over, apologized for the delay, and kindly offered to comp our appetizers. Very generous, except we had not ordered any appetizers. We had ordered extra sides. He apologized again and disappeared into the very beautiful restaurant. Our food finally arrived about an hour after we ordered. The food was good, but my medium-rare ribeye was light pink with no red, so it had clearly moved on to medium without telling me. My wife enjoyed the surf and turf pasta. The potatoes au gratin and Brussels sprouts were easily the stars of the meal, which is a little concerning for a restaurant known for steaks and chops. When the vegetables and potatoes are carrying the team, something has gone off-script. Perry's is gorgeous and has a lot of potential, so hopefully this was just an off night or opening growing pains. But between the mystery wine, missing bread, hour-long wait, and overcooked steak, we are not sure we will be back. read more

Four of us went to Perry's tonight. We've been wanting to check it out since you opened and Restaurant Week was the perfect opportunity. We ordered the sausage and bacon wrapped shrimp for appetizers plus got a wedge salad, French onion soup, the mixed green salad and a white bean pork chili. all of the starters were really great plus of course you get some fresh bread with butter. For dinner two of us had the pork chops, one person had the filet and one person had the New York Strip. It's hard to say what was better. That pork chop was Amazing - different flavor profiles for each section and the steaks were delicious and perfectly cooked. Dessert was the chocolate fudge cake and lemon bar which is charred right at the table. The highlight however was Jade, our server. She was perfect and so nice and such a great sense of humor. We've been anticipating this restaurant reported they opened about 2 weeks ago. We came here for date night on Saturday. Perry's comes in as a higher end American steak house. This location still has many kinks to iron. First, we ordered crab cakes and drinks. It took 45 minutes for them to let us know that they are out of the crab cakes and for drinks to arrive. Totally understand. Moving on, I was very excited for the beef Wellington so my husband and I both ordered this with au gratin potatoes and this totally made up for the mishaps. I came in with low expectations- so many high end steakhouses just can't deliver the goods with value. However, Perry's surprised me. I had the lobster bisque, famous pork chop and chocolate cake. The bisque was wonderful, can't imagine better. For the pork chop- I felt like I had never eaten a pork chop before tonight- hard to describe, but I highly recommend trying it. The cake was great, too. I got lucky and hit the trifecta with my meal. On the downside, the restaurant was a little loud, but the service was great. Really glad I tried it- value was there, rate it 5 stars. read more
