I drive by The Perfect Pear Bistro every single day, and in turn, every single day I think that I need to try it out. The "perfect" opportunity finally presented itself when a friend and I were planning a catch-up lunch date and looking for a good place to eat, so I suggested The Perfect Pear Bistro. Despite meeting for a late lunch, the Pear was packed. But the restaurant is roomy, and we had no problem getting a seat. My friend and I are both plant-based, so we were super pleased with the separate vegan menu. I had the Autumn Harvest quinoa bowl (delish!), and my friend had the vegan tacos with sweet potato fries as her side. I am very picky about sweet potato fries, but I tried one here, and it was crispy and seasoned perfection. I will not skip out on the sweet potato fries next time! I really appreciate that The Perfect Pear Bistro is locally owned and uses fresh, healthy ingredients. The servers are also very friendly and helpful. The ambiance of this restaurant is very nice for a weekend lunch. We went on a Saturday afternoon and they kept it cool inside with some shades and they had a great level of lighting from chandeliers. It was nicely decorated. We did wait about 20 minutes, which they did inform us of in the beginning. We did have an issue because when we went to go check on our table at the time we were to be seated, nobody had returned back to the hostess stand for a bit of time, and there were people behind us who still had not been helped. There is no waiting area. Once we were seated, our server was amazing and we got our food and drinks promptly. The food was just okay. The sandwich had too much bread for my liking (I am used to ciabatta being thin and crunchy and this ciabatta was thick and more fluffy). I enjoy their Baja lime salad with salmon. I found the dressing a touch light. The served salmon portion seemed smaller than what their competitors serve. I liked the salmon's flavoring, though. The total portion of salad plus salmon seemed good. We had pretty good service. We had no wait to get a table at 1:30 on a Sunday. The Tuscan rigatoni was so bland. And the French pantry sandwich was very plain with minimal ingredients and definitely had no pear flavor. Perfect Pear Bistro filled a little hole in my life that salad and go left when they closed suddenly. My favorite thing about this place is their use of cheese in everything. They know what the people want (I'm the people). My husband did the 1/2 grandmas Mac and 1/2 strawberry fields forever salad. I had a whole French pantry sandwich. We basically shared everything because I wanted to try it all. The Mac and cheese was so creamy and the bacon cooked extra crispy, the salad was so yummy with the bits of pecan & Gorgonzola spread throughout and my sandwich was a nice mix of flavor with Brie, pear, and grilled chicken. It was my first time at the Perfect Pear Bistro. We came here before a concert. I was pleasantly surprised at how much bigger it is inside when we entered the restaurant. As we entered we were seated right away. The place was busy and looks to be a family friendly eatery. The waitress came to take our order so I left it to my brother in law to choose. Do have to give a shout out to him on his choice. Our appetizer was brought out from the kitchen not the waitress. It was the Black and Blue Brussels Sprouts topped with bacon and it was very tasty. We never did finish the large plate and before we knew it our order of Bacon and Jalapeño sandwiches were brought out from the kitchen. First time at the Chandler Perfect pear. I have now been to all three locations over the past several years and all are 5 stars. We started off with Black & Blue Roasted Brussel Sprouts. Served with bacon, Gorgonzola cheese and a Chipotle drizzle. Have not had any better and have had this dish as an entree. Never been able to finish it. I've been to Perfect Pear Bistro multiple times and love all the healthy options! I usually get the Perfect Pear salad with the pesto dressing and either salmon or falafel added. If I'm super hungry, I'll go with the salmon. Both pair so well with the salad. It's also really fun that they do daily soups. They didn't have it the day I went, but my favorite is their green chili soup. It's delicious. I also got the strawberry lemonade and it was okay. I'm very particular about lemonade and usually don't enjoy the ones with that syrupy taste because they taste too artificial to me. I think this restaurant has a few different locations. The ones I've been to are in Tempe and Chandler. Both have such a nice vibe inside and outside. I usually prefer sitting outside, but both seating areas are super nice. The service was good, just a little slow. I think it was because we were the only people sitting outside, so it was probably easy to forget about us lol. I finished up a deep tissue massage next door at Massage Envy and was on my own for dinner so I asked workers at the front desk if they've been to the Perfect Pear Bistro next door. It was a resounding yes and that I should try it out. I also was told to get the Marbled Cuban. I was sold! It was nice to walk 15 seconds to dinner rather than fight Friday night traffic again. I entered Perfect Pear Bistro and was a little shocked by how empty it was...there were a few people dining but many more empty tables. The bar had nobody. I let them know I was dining alone and was seated in a bar high-top table. The interior is inviting- open with simple but elegant decor. I looked at the menu even though I planned to get the Marbled Cuban. I was surprised to see signature tacos and fancier pasta entrees on the menu...I was thinking it was a soup/salad/sandwich place. My server was prompt and friendly and I placed my order. The Marbled Cuban came out and it was a little thinner than I imagined. The pulled pork was present but I didn't see any cheese and was expecting the 4-cheese blend to be quite prominent. The sandwich tasted good...nice pieces of pork without any fat. The toasty rye with the soft pork and cheese was a winning combination. The accompanying fries were average at best...should have gone with the sweet potato fries instead. Overall I had a pleasant experience here. There were other items on the menu that piqued my interest- chicken pesto sandwich, spicy asian pork tacos, and several pasta dishes. If I was dining with another I would have suggested splitting the peach and pear cobblier, but it would be too indulgent for me alone. We stopped by The Perfect Pear Bistro right by Chandler Fashion Center and left completely obsessed. I got the Perfectly Grilled Cheese ($12.49) and upgraded my side to a bowl of tomato bisque (+$3.39). Holy cow, the bread is the star: their house-made grilled spiced pear bread. It's a plush, lightly sweet brioche swirled with warm cinnamon, nutmeg, and little bits of pear that caramelize when they toast it. The outside gets that perfect golden crunch while the inside stays soft and almost buttery. They stuff it with a gooey four-cheese blend plus brie that melts into every corner, peppery arugula, and thick strips of crispy bacon. One bite and I was in love; the sweet-savory-spicy thing it has going on is next-level. Dipping it into the tomato bisque (rich, velvety, perfectly seasoned) felt borderline illegal. Best grilled cheese I've ever had, no exaggeration. My wife ordered the Strawberry Fields salad ($13.49) and added grilled chicken (I think +$5 or $6). It's enormous, easily two meals. Juicy sliced strawberries, candied walnuts, thin rings of red onion, big crumbles of gorgonzola, plenty of crispy bacon, mixed greens, and perfectly cooked, tender grilled chicken piled on top. The house balsamic vinaigrette ties it all together without drowning anything. She said it was fresh, balanced, and one of the best salads she's ever had; she ate less than half and happily took the rest home. Service was fantastic: friendly, quick, and they even split our checks and brought extra napkins without us asking. Prices feel like a steal for the quality and portions. The Perfect Pear is now on our regular rotation. That spiced pear bread alone is worth driving across town for, and everything else we tried was just as impressive. Highly recommended. read more

I've dined here for lunch and dinner. Lunch was with a big group and dinner with the family. When I dined during lunch time I went for the chicken pesto ciabatta sandwich (with roasted red peppers, tomatoes, feta cheese and pesto aioli) with their mushroom soup. And when I went for dinner I ordered the marbled Cuban ( with pulled pork, dill pickle, cheese, grain mustard between rye bread) and tomato soup, and falafel tacos with sweet potato fries. Both times the service was good. I loved the soups and sandwiches and can't wait to explore of the other menu items. They are kid friendly with a kid friendly menu for ages 10 and under for $5.99 where we ordered the Alfredo pasta and fries. They were a hit. Perfect Pear Bistro also provides crayons, coloring paper, pencil and stamps and the another drawer full of dum dum lollipops! What a nice surprise for the kiddos. Will be back! read more

We ate here for lunch on a Sunday. We probably arrived by 11:30 a.m. It is located at one end of a large plaza which also has a Lowe's and some clothing stores. There was plenty of shared parking. They have indoor and patio seating, but we opted for inside as it was getting hot out. They have a variety of booths and tables - we got a booth. The tables seemed mostly to be used for larger parties, but that may have been a function of the timing. Our server was quite friendly and made suggestions about the menu. They have a variety of things to choose from. I got their BLT variant which was good. I think both the others got salads, which they couldn't finish (leftovers are fine though). Everyone enjoyed lunch. Prices were reasonable. It started getting quite busy while we were eating, probably as the church crowds arrived. They may even have been on a short wait by the time we left, but I doubt that is typical for most other days of the week. We had eaten at another location of the PP a couple of years ago. Both visits were good, and if I lived in Phoenix I could see adding this to a regular rotation of dining venues. read more

I came in here on the morning of Saturday July 18th with my grandma and my girlfriend. My grandma had wanted to get together so we came and met her out nearby her, and it was a slightly rainy morning, it was definitely overcast when we walked in and they had an advisory sign out stating to be careful of the floor and that it may be slippery. We sat down right away when we found my grandma waiting for us. She'd been there a little bit before us and had decided that the Perfectly Grilled Cheese sounded good. Me and my girlfriend both had wanted to try their pastas, and they were ultimately the move. She got the Chipotle vodka sauce pasta with rigatoni which comes topped with basil and Parmesan, and I got the Pesto Mac and cheese which comes with Cavatappi tossed with roasted red peppers, caramelized onions, arugula and cheesy pesto, topped with feta. I was pretty hungry so I ordered an extra side of sweet potato fries as well, and I ate all of it. My grandma was so-so on her grilled cheese sandwich, saying it wasn't bad but wasn't the best she'd had either. We were greeted right away and sat near the restroom area at a table for 4 people. They were really busy. Our server came and got us our drinks. Her recommended some items from the menu. I am officially obsessed with the Perfect Pear Salad. I've tried to recreate it at home... don't even get me started--it just isn't the same. The combination of classic pears, dried cranberries, mint, red onions, and toasted hazelnuts tossed in their cider vinaigrette is pure magic. That said the prices are where this place loses me. While everything is prepared well and the ingredients feel fresh nothing really stood out as memorable enough to justify the cost. Portions and execution felt more good than great especially for what you are paying. I did not have a bad experience by any means and I can see why people enjoy it but for the price point I expect either more creativity more generous portions or a standout dish that makes me eager to return. Let me start by saying the service is amazing. Each staff member I encountered had a great attitude and provided great service. I met a friend here for lunch on a Saturday around 11am and there were very few people dining in. My friend had never been to the restaurant but since I had been to one of the other locations I suggested this one to meet. After she looked around, she said this is a really cute spot. She loved the decor. It was clean and the dining room was very spacious. Neither of us were disappointed. The food was delicious. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich with a side house salad. I was in town visiting family and my in-laws took me here to lunch. They were raving about this place. It's funny cause we generally go to the NYPD Pizza right next-door. There's parking out front, but it can be a little tight during lunch hours. I visited on a Tuesday after 1 PM and the parking lot was pretty full as was the restaurants. It took a few minutes for the host to come greet us, which is not a big deal and then a couple more minutes for a server to find us which wasn't a big deal, but you know how in-laws can be a.k.a. boomers. I opted to get the La Lucy. My in-laws got the Cobb salad. We all added chicken to it. The server actually suggested a half a salad, which we did not know was an option, but I'm glad that we did. We also had it tossed with the dressing. In the future, I might ask for a little less dressing, cause I thought it was a little overdressed. Or get the dressing on the side. When I tell you that every bite had some type of topping from the salad I am not kidding. I cannot stop talking about the salad La Lucy. There were strawberries, pumpkin seeds, goat cheese, just a ton of variety, but not just sparse. I didn't finish the half a salad and took it with me. I had it a little bit later in the day. It tasted just as delicious as I had it in the restaurant. There's a combination of tables and booths at this location. Just a very mellow café style location. This location has outdoor dining since we took advantage of the nice weather and sat outside. The menu has many options of starters, salads, bowls, sandwiches, and pasta. They also have an option of selecting two options which was perfect because I was torn between pasta and salad. They also have happy hour every day from 2 - 6. I enjoyed both my salad and pasta.
