Greek Fries with Chicken. I think they are called Athena Fries
Katie S.

5 stars for customer service and cleanliness of the restaurant. 4 stars for the food. This is a cute fast casual restaurant where you order at the counter, fill up your drink and they bring your food to your table. The seating area is small(ish) so I wouldn't say its a place for large parties. One thing that we loved is they actually have a variety of Greek fries on their menu. Most Greek/Mediterranean restaurants only offer Greek Fries and you have to add protein on top which ends up being very costly. Here they have 4-5 Greek Fry options that include different proteins. You get to select two sauces for the top and they put a generous portion of feta too. The wait wasn't too long to get our food. We all got Greek Fries with Chicken souvlaki on top. One person got the spicy tzatziki and the others go regular. The food was hot and fresh and huge! The chicken was grilled and didn't taste like Greek chicken, more just like grilled chicken. One thing my family and I have always noticed about Mediterranean food is that its very flavorful and packs a punch with flavor. This food we didn't feel it was like that. That isn't a bad thing just different and a bit unexpected. The flavor was delicious however. Was it the best Greek fries I have had, no, but still good. I will give them another try and order something different. Cost for 3 order of Greek Fries with chicken was almost $50. For the portion sizes that seems fair these days.

Somebody left a menu for Blue Donkey on my desk in the office the other week so I figured I should try it. It did not disappoint. I ordered online and went to pick it up so service was really easy. The interior looked clean. My bowl was delicious. The chicken was moist and tender and had tons of flavor. Blue Donkey will be added to the lunch rotation.

We have an embarrassment of riches in Chandler when it comes to Greek Restaurants. I felt like I was cheating on my regular place but wanted to check out the new place. Located in the same shopping center as another favorite, Wok & Sizzle at the Southwest Corner of Queen Creek and Gilbert in Chandler, this place is really good. First off, I was greeted with a smile and enthusiasm and offered a cup for water while I waited. My wife wanted to try the Spanakopita and the Gyro Pita and I couldn't walk away from the register without adding a side of Lemon Potatoes. The place is clean with nice seating but I was bringing it home. I even ordered an extra Tzatziki Sauce but it really wasn't needed as the Gyro was plenty juicy. First we had the Spanakopita which hadn't a hint of grease but was very fluffy and filled with tasty spinach and Feta. Very flaky crust! Next I had to taste the Lemon Potato and it was one of the best I have had. Good size fingerling style Yukon Gold with concentrated but not overbearing flavor of Lemon along with Oregano. They were perfectly cooked. Now to the Gyro, you could easily split one of these. They are stuffed with meat as well as red onion, tomato and tzatziki sauce wrapped in a sturdy yet soft Pitta. This is delicious food and looking forward to trying some of the other dishes.

Recently went here for a team lunch and our company had already catered from there for another meeting. The food was very flavorful, staff was nice. Small place and they do get a lunch rush, we had a party of 5 and they even apologized for our wait with sweet treats. That was so nice. We will continue to support this place!

Just tried this new Greek spot and I'm already a fan! They just opened and it's a true local mom-and-pop restaurant. The owners are incredibly kind, and the whole place has a welcoming, fast-casual feel that makes you want to come back. And the gyro? Probably the best I've had. The meat was flavorful, seasoned perfectly, and everything came together really well. Definitely give this place some love while they're getting started. You can tell they genuinely care about what they're serving and the community they're serving it to.

Hubby especially loved the artisan cheeses, so we went to get a couple of our favorites, the Port Wine Derby and Shropshire Blue. Mahfam greeted us and was super friendly as usual. Unfortunately they were out of both cheeses. She did have a small chunk of Shropshire Blue left though and gave it to us for free! Mahfam recommended a different cheese for us to try and it was excellent so we got half a pound. Hubby ended up loving her recommendation even more than the other two. Mahfam knows her cheese! They also offer gourmet charcuterie boards plus sandwiches and salads. This is just a very cool little place to discover new cheeses, and gourmet goodies and leave with something you didn't know you needed. We'll definitely be back to work our way through more of the cheese selection.

I had points for a free sandwich and the register kept asking for a verification code. The young man helping me was clearly new and asked the manager (young lady with red hair) what to do. She said "she had to go in the app and change the code". The kid and I had no idea what she was talking about. I downloaded the app and he asked her again. She said "it'll tell you just follow the directions" (it did NOT tell us and there were no directions to follow). He asked her again and she snapped saying "it says it on the screen just follow the directions" I had to step in and say "we tried multiple times and nothing is changing and clearly there are no directions to follow" she ignored me when to the young man helping me (who kept apologizing) and acting like he was the dumbest person for not knowing. She was incredibly rude and condescending to both the young man and me. My daughter and husband even commented on how rude she was. I would suggest putting your manager who told a young man that "she runs a tight ship" in some sort of customer service class to teach her to be kind to her workers and customers. I'm so over these young managers thinking they can treat their employees this way. Do better

After ordering a toasted sub at the counter (I got the La Canna - their take on the Italian), I went to the drink station and there's hundreds, maybe thousands of stickers plastered all over the place- on the walls, on drink dispensers, bathroom doors, and more. The drink station has a Pepsi soda fountain, sweet and unsweet tea and several flavors of Kool Aid. The coolest thing inside is the giant mural on the West wall that was custom-made for this location, as it features the nearby San Marcos Resort and Hotel in the background. Pretty neat touch. I sat on the West side of the restaurant where they have large glass windows and natural light pouring in. You can watch people wander downtown Chandler as you dine. The sub was delivered to my table open-faced. The bread is a great blend of crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The meats and cheese were a little thin to my liking but they tasted great warmed up. The veggies and the dressing were lightly applied but add just enough flavor to accentuate the sandwich. It's an above-average sub for an above-average price, so you get what you pay for. They have some unique sides (munchies) and desserts as well. I didn't try any of them but they had some unique items like nachos and meatball bowls. I would recommend trying Cheba Hut for anyone who likes a good toasted sandwich. Only positives from my experience!

Well, we gave Cheba Hut another shot last night, and while this was definitely a better experience…read morethan the last one, we are still completely befuddled about how we're supposed to place an order and actually get the food the way we ordered it. My wife ordered the Power Plant, and we paid extra for Extra Spicy Ranch. Again. But apparently the employees have some kind of vendetta against actually putting Extra Spicy Ranch on the sandwich when you order Extra Spicy Ranch. I can just picture someone reading the ticket: "Oh look, the customer has explicitly said they want Extra Spicy Ranch! They even PAID for Extra Spicy Ranch! But because I work here, and I am the gatekeeper of Spicy Ranch, NONE SHALL PASS!" At this point I'm convinced there's a giant slug-like mob boss named Cheeba the Hutt, cousin of Jabba the Hutt, sitting somewhere in the back of Cheba Hut guarding the Spicy Ranch reserves. Apparently selecting it online and paying actual money for it isn't enough to get past Cheeba. Every time we pay for extra, never have we got extra - how do I know? Because the sandwich is dry. I ordered a Build Your Own because Cheba Hut has decided to no longer carry the A-Train, which was my legit GO TO! I'm still salty about that one. I selected mayo, Dijon mustard, and regular mustard on my sandwich, so thankfully I had enough sauce to keep me content. Mine was actually pretty good. Then there was the Rainbow Crispy. What a con-job! I thought I was getting a Fruity Pebbles crispy treat. Oh noooooo. They watered that sucker down with Cap'n Crunch and Crunch Berries too! If I wanted a Crunch Berry bar, I would've ordered a Crunch Berry bar. Hoodwinked! I do want to be fair because this visit WAS better. Pickup went smoothly, the ingredients were fresh, and after our previous awful experience Cheba Hut refunded our entire order. Their customer service afterward was great, and I absolutely give them credit for making things right. I even reached out before this visit because I didn't want anything free. I just wanted to pay for our food, have it prepared the way we ordered it, and hopefully get back to having the positive Cheba Hut experiences we used to have. And that's really where my frustration comes from. Cheba Hut used to be a "Fo Sho!" for us. It was one of those places where you knew what you wanted, knew it was going to be good, and didn't think twice about ordering. Unfortunately, that "Fo Sho!" confidence has now been reduced to more of a, "Meh... I hope they don't mess it up again." So this visit does redeem Cheba Hut somewhat. We're moving back up to 3 stars. The ingredients are fresh, there's still a lot to like, and I KNOW they can make a damn good sandwich. We just need to figure out how to consistently get the sandwich we actually ordered.

There's other proteins too, they didn't forget about serving up the rest of the barnyard. Another sandwich place, you say? Potbelly offers unique sauces and toppings, with their meats in a variety of combinations. The ingredients seem to be of higher quality than Subway. I liked the bread because it was thick and had bite and did not easily fall apart. With all the ingredients, it did not get soggy and held together. However, the bread is toasted so you will definitely need to make sure to get some kind of sauce in the sandwich, otherwise it will be dry. The sandwiches are hearty, but it did make me thirsty.
