Well it took me long enough to make it here. I didn't know what to expect but when I walked through the door I was greeted with a beautiful smile and knew right away that owners care about the customer which is a great start. The food was excellent! I have eaten middle Eastern food all throughout the country and have to say this was better than almost all of the (the Persian Room in Scottsdale and Rezas in Chicago aside). I unfortunately did not take any pictures but next time I will. The food is prepared individually at the time of order so it's very fresh! I ordered the Chicken Kabob Plate and had both Baba and Humus and a salad with it. I really enjoyed the food here. I will be back soon!! Try out this restaurant and support a family owned business! We had been hearing great reviews from friends about this new Mediterranean spot and finally got a chance to try it on a Friday for lunch. The place is new, clean, and very well set up. The lady at the front was warm and welcoming, which made a great first impression. I went with the chicken kebab wrap, while my husband ordered the chicken shawarma platter. We also got baklava for dessert. Since everything is made fresh in-house, the food took a little while to come out but it was worth the wait. The wrap was delicious. It wasn't served in pita bread but more like a wrap, and it worked perfectly. The shawarma platter was equally good the rice was very flavorful, though the chicken felt slightly dry for our taste. The baklava was clearly fresh, but we felt it was a bit overpriced. Overall, a good place with fresh food and a nice setup we'd definitely consider coming back. read more

Tried this place for takeout for the first time since it's close to home. Ordered online and arrived to pick it up at the estimated time. The place is a small fast food place albeit their restaurant prices. When I asked for the order they looked surprised then told me it will take another 15min. Seemed like they hadn't realized they had a pending online order. Left and went back to pick it up. My daughter ordered garlic fries but they are NOT FRIES! They are cubed potatoes like a hash. My wife got the shawarma chicken wrap and it was super overcooked - inedible like cardboard with no flavor , like it had been sitting out all day. She threw the whole thing away. My kabab had rice instead of the fries I ordered. The chicken was also overcooked, at least chewable, the side salad was too tangy and even the humus tasted weird. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

They have a few desserts as well that looked very tempting (baklava and Dubai chocolate). Prices were fair and the food came out piping hot with a nice presentation. To start we got the dolmades. I enjoyed the drizzle of pomegranate sauce on them. Just a hint to give them a bright flavor. We got the Shwarmaati platter so we could a little of everything. Lamb was very tender. Chicken was flavorful and tender. Kafta was bursting with flavor also. I don't like hummus as I hate garbanzo beans, but decided to give theirs a try. We just tried this for the first time and it was very good. The owner recommended the platter. There were two of us so we split a Shawarmaati platter which was perfect for us. There were 3 types of meat, all were so juicy and flavorful. It came with rice, hummus/pita, rice and a small salad. The salad was so good, it had this great dressing. I thought it was Greek salad but it's actually fattoush salad according to the owner. It was different and we really enjoyed it. We will definitely be back. Great place I will definitely be coming back to! First off, the older gentleman at the counter was super nice and was passionate about the food made in-house. Second, the food! Absolutely delicious! I got the mixed shawarma plate (chicken, beef, and rice), it was so good, especially the hummus and garlic sauce! I even had an app- falafel which was too good and a birds nest for dessert, rich and amazing! The restaurant has a "fast casual" feel to it, but luckily the food did not have that same feel.. the flavor, quality and portions were that of a more upscale restaurant! Ambiance: they just opened so I'm giving them a pass because the art could be on back order right? There's no art on the walls and I hope that some art goes up that reflects the Mediterranean food and culture. Same for the music. I want to be immersed in the culture when I get some food from afar. When we walked in, we were greeted by Lilly. Lilly was super friendly, very helpful, service could not be better. We ordered the chicken Shawarma platter, the gyro platter, with a side of salad. The food was warm, plentiful, and came out very quickly. The food is pretty good but the fries are terrific. The drinks are Pepsi products but they have a strawberry lemonade and a mango lemonade. I tried the strawberry lemonade and it was very good. The restaurant is very clean and has a large outdoor patio. I was glad that they had a few tables inside because it's warm out. Will go again and try some of the other dishes. I'm looking forward to trying the hummus. read more

While getting my Gyro last week, I noticed Charcoal Grilled Chicken on the menu and knew I would be back. It did not disappoint. Charcoal Grilled marinated Whole chicken with your choice of rice or fries, hummus, garlic dip and salad. I went with the Hummus, the fries and the rice. I know, choose a starch and move on with your life but my wife wanted the fries and I really wanted to try the rice so 2 starches. Both great. The fries were fantastic as last week and still a ton of them for a side but the rice was really good also. It was very soft and fluffy with a nice flavor. I even liked them left over and cold the next morning. Come on, you know you do that too. The chicken had a delicious charcoal outside to it while still being tender and juicy. The garlic sauce is a bit strong for my taste but if you love garlic fries, you will love that combo. Again, the hummus was great with the accompanying pita bread for dipping. Definitely a complete meal for a small to medium family. All for just under $30. I will be a repeat customer for this one. read more

Sadly I am updating my review because in my opinion, the quality and taste of the food had drastically changed since they originally opened this location. I have returned a few times since my original 5 star review, but it has consistently declined for me and my friends. We have placed online orders ahead of time, only to have to wait at least 30 minutes for our order. The quantity, quality of the service and taste of the food sadly has declined. My last experience was the last straw. I was craving their falafel wrap (sandwich) and I ordered it online for pick up. When I brought it home, the wrap had very little inside and it was well overcooked! The falafel wraps have gotten skinnier and skinnier. I wish this place much success, but sadly, I feel like we are getting ripped off every time we have ordered to-go. Ate here yesterday after seeing it listed on Yelp. The place looks new and locating them in the shopping center took a bit of search inside the complex. They are towards the South West Side of the complex right next to the Denny's which seems to be hogging most the parking spots there for their customers. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma wrap and converted it into a combo ( fries and drink ) for $6 more so it's $16+ tax for the combo. Food was pretty tasty, fries was nice and fresh and crispy and they serve the yogurt sauce which goes well with the shawarma wrap. Food overall was pretty good and the girl at the counter was very friendly and attentive so overall a good place to try. It's a bit of a drive for me from North Chandler/Tempe but not that far so I would definitely go back here to try their other dishes. Maybe try their falafel wraps or perhaps their plates that comes with hummus and rice etc. Forgot to take pictures of my food but maybe next time I'll snap a picture before I eat. To start with, the food all tasted great. Even though we came at an off time, it felt like the food was hot and fresh. Their portions were very reasonable. Smaller than a place like Green Corner for sure, but still enough that you won't leave hungry. The prices I would say are a bit on the higher side, but the ingredients do taste fresh at least. A minor complaint is that there seem to be different salads based on the meat that you order. While I thought the salad that I got was okay, the one the person I'm with looked fantastic. I wish there was a way to choose. The inside is a bit small, but there are tables to sit and enjoy your food there. read more

They have an entire horrible human at the front desk. She may even be racist because she was automatically extremely rude to me and unwelcoming. I simply asked her if we can exchange the salad for fries as my autistic son doesn't eat salad. She said the menu says fries salad and hummus. I said I know that so I'm asking can I exchange it then she repeats the order with salad. No customer service skills, kindness or care. Even if you can't exchange for fries you can simply say we unfortunately do not do that here but she said I will do it for you this time. Either you can do it or you can't. You're not doing me any favors as I'm a customer that's paying either way and kindness goes a long way. Then she aggressively tells me after I ask how long is the wait, we have other orders before you. I know there are other orders, I asked that's the approximate time. She couldn't even give me a time because her attitude was so disgusting. She then roughly handed me the receipt, never said thank you. Then got on a call with a hyper high pitched voice saying how can I help you in such a fake kind manner. I laughed to myself and that set her off. She said you have to leave and I'm refunding you your entire order. Lesson learned for me I will never buy from any place with disgusting attitudes as soon as I walk in. It's so uncomfortable and you know the food is made lacking love and care. I will never come here and I suggest if you are a person of color especially black, don't come EVER. This is a racist establishment and everything is on camera from their establishment and I recorded her refusing me service. Heard they opened a Shawarmaati in Chandler so I had to go check them out. I've been going to the Gilbert location for a while now, absolutely love it. When I got to the Chandler location low and behold my girl Bella greeting me at the door enthusiastically like she always does. Just like Gilbert the food was delicious. The Shawarmaati platter is my go to but the Gyro's are fire as well as their Kafta wrap, and if you are anything like me you gotta grab some Baklava pistachio and a Mango Lotus cup to go. Really the whole menu is phenomenal. While you eat it's a guarantee Bella is gonna come ask how your food is play with your kids and make you smile with that beautiful smile of hers. She gives the place the great vibe that it has. She is the face of Shawarmaati that's for sure! I give it a 10 outta 10 just like its brother company in Gilbert.
