I got the two taco, two sides place. I think I got a chicken and a beef taco, onions and cilantro on both, along with sides of spicy lo mein and spicy chicken. Tacos were good, spicy lo mein and spicy chicken sides were good. Interesting takeoff of Chino Bandito from Chandler days of lore. Just three stars - "Average". No problems experienced, just didn't knock my socks off. May return if I'm feeling some craving for tacos and Pei Wei dishes, to be honest. read more

My first time here. I was in town to cover the Women's Final Four and wanted something different. I stumbled upon this place and decided to try it out. Bad decision! I stayed with an all Asian selection on a take out order. The lo mein was very greasy. The jalapeño chicken was gross, overcooked, greasy and the pineapple chicken was tasteless. Later that night in my hotel room I got violently ill. Being busy, that was the only thing I ate all day, so it was very easy to pinpoint what made me sick. The customer service was weak as they acted like I should know what I should want even though this was my first time there. Having been in restaurant management for almost two decades, I would never recommend this place and they should have a surprise visit from the Maricopa County Health Department. I have no clue why there are 4 star reviews on this business. STAY AWAY!! read more

I've been here a few times for lunch, and always enjoy the food! It's pretty heavy but SOOO delicious! A Mexican Panda Express. The people working are always really generous with their portions and making sure you get fresh food too! The inside has a few tables to sit at. On this particular visit, I decided to try the Chinese burrito which is just a make your burrito. I added vegetables, and sweet/sour chicken. It was awesome. The lo-mein is always really good here, and the chicken too! I definitely recommend giving this place a chance, especially if you're looking for some yummy comfort food. read more

Definitely just a glorified Panda Express with a more confusing menu. All the items in the pans are clearly trashy. My pineapple chicken was garbage. They were out of egg fried rice at noon and the noodles were soaked in soy sauce. Lucky I only wasted $5.99. read more

Was a little hesitant about this Fusion, but it was absolutely delicious! I was craving some spicy noodles and this dish hit the spot! It is kind of a setup like Panda Express with the bases and entree options. Customer service was great! I got half fiery lo mein and half rice for my base, then jalapeno chicken and orange chicken for my two on trades. I was recently in the same plaza and saw this place and wanted to try it out as I was a bit indecisive on lunch. A blend of Chinese and Mexican food served fast was ideal. I decided to go with the Combination that included Orange Chicken & fried rice & a carne asada street taco. I thought to do a Burria taco as they had signage they won best Burria posted around. It wasn't part of the combo and I had a budget in mind so I figured this would make me return for another visit. The staff member & service was great! There was the tail end of Orange Chicken in the pan and he had the cook make a fresh batch so I didn't mind the short wait. I also decided to add a spring roll to the mix. Overall the food was good. When getting one of the combos, mine was served in a bento-style box (nice size) but I think it's to help with the portions & they were a bit small to my expectations. I'm used to having my Chinese dish served over rice but they were separated. Not a deal breaker, but not what I envisioned. They were offering a free can soft drink with a combo purchase so it was a bonus. I definitely want to try the Birria Tacos & Spicy Orange Chicken. So we came here for date night! This place is amazing! We got the Spicy Orange Chicken and who doesn't like things a little spicy! It was so good! I got the mushroom entree that they had, it was so good and so fresh! I had the regular Lo Mein and Janna had the Spicy Lo Mein, that was the only thing that went wrong with our visit, I missed the spicy Lo Mein. Food was good. I ordered the quesobirria with 2 sides plate. It was really good. I had carne asada . I ordered 1 but it was so good I wish I had ordered 2. My sides were spicy lo mein and some kinda spicy jalapeño chicken. The noodles were yummy and the chicken was good. It was a little dry and just barely hot from probably sitting under a warmer but the flavor was still really good. The cashier was super polite and friendly happy to help us. I found the concept of the restaurant interesting, but there is room for improvement. My group ordered the Birria Ramen Duo and two Quesabirria Munchies Plates, with sides of spicy orange chicken, salt and pepper shrimp, and pollo peño. Upon arrival, we were greeted, and the man behind the counter gave us a lengthy explanation of the combos, but we still felt a bit confused. The menu could be simplified, especially with choosing the sides and meat for the tacos, considering it's a fusion place. However, the man helped us choose everything, which was fine. If it had been a different employee, I think we would have had a hard time. The Birria Ramen combo was the best out of everything we ordered. The Chinese food tasted Americanized, similar to Panda Express. The spicy orange chicken wasn't spicy and was too sweet; I couldn't eat more than a few pieces. The pollo peño was the best of the three sides we ordered. They were out or running low on a few sides, including the salt and pepper shrimp, but they made some fresh upon request, which I appreciated. The Mexican food here is much better than the Chinese food. The quesabirria tacos were the best item on the munchies plate, and the consommé was alright. Walked in around 5 pm, first time here. The manager was really friendly, explained the menu thoroughly, even gave me a sample of the pollo pina, which was yummy! Insanely delicious food, great price, and friendly staff, nothing more we can ask for. Every time we go the food is really fresh (sometimes we even have to wait 2-3 minutes for the chef to prepare our entree which makes it even more amazing). What a fun combination!! You get the best of both worlds here at chino mex ! The service was fast! Ordered online and it was ready as soon as I got there and they left a cute note on the to go box which I thought was super nice. We ordered 2 munchie boxes which are such a cool option that lets you get a little of everything. Highly recommend the beef taco, noodles & coconut shrimp! Once arrived we were greeted right away. Asked for explanation how things work since it was our first time. Pretty much same concept as Panda Express just in halal version. The chicken was really good, lo main was flavorful but be careful of you have allergy to peanuts it does contain peanuts, veggies and mushrooms were great as well, cheese wonton was good too. I went here on a whim since I've had good memories of Chinese-Mexican fusion before and now I'm a regular. It runs like a panda express, but with a culinary degree, so everything gets to be in the spotlight besides the ornage chicken. The place is spotless and I always feel like family when I come in. I've consistently ordered their family meal and will say with confidence that everything that is offered in it is a winner to me. Came for the first time having been to the other place that is similar and used to be in Chandler. Can't compare the two because Chino-Mex is different. We tried several different things including the orange chicken (not real crispy but tender and juicy inside), fabulous Quesabirras with carne (absolutely loved the crispy shell and the meat was tender and juicy), Coco Loco Shrimp (ok in our opinion...not much coconut flavor), mushrooms and zucchini (a bit too saucy but great texture for both veggies), plantains (they were fine but my preference is cut thinner), Pollo Pina (tender chicken with a great flavor), fried rice (better than others we have tried and not too salty like some can be!), chow mein (too mushy for my taste). We finished with tres leches that was so bomb! Sweet and perfect! We are doing a second trip back to try some other options because now we feel more experienced to try again!
