I hate that I have to write this... especially because I really don't like giving bad reviews. But I have to be honest: this was disgusting! Not the food itself, but the extremely long hair that was entangled in my General Tso's chicken. (See the photo for reference. y'all, I mean that hair looked like it was cooked into the batter. JUST GROSS!!!!) I'd be very careful about eating here since it doesn't seem like cleanliness is on the menu. I will admit... the food was pretty tasty... until that hot mess ruined it.

Had lunch at my brother's "go to" and it was delicious and reasonable priced ($7.99). This family restaurant is very casual, with friendly owners. Because your food is cooked when ordered, you can see, smell, and hear your food being cooked. You can eat in, but their takeout is very popular. You will enjoy.

Beijing express has a great lunch menu. You can get a big meal for under $10. Food is good for the price. They have a lot to choose from and food comes out super fast.

70% of the Mongolian beef was onions. The noodles also tasted like garlic and soy sauce which was a let down. I've cooked better at home.

Food was delicious and flavorful. Their lunch special has a great amount of food for the price. When in the area will stop again soon.

Favorite Chinese restaurant in Arizona so far. I love the fresh veggies in all of the dishes. Cooked to order, very little oil!

If you're not a fan of lamb I understand but love the small tender morsels seasoned with mala spice. Also highly recommend the chive and meat dumplings. We ordered the fried pork intestines with chilies, the west lake soup, and the beef noodle soup. West lake soup:(1/5) The west lake soup had egg, and beef and pork cubes. However there were not enough beef and pork cubes for the price. It was watery and not very fragrant. The portions were average. It did not taste very good. I would not recommend this dish if you are looking for authentic west lake soup. Fried pork intestines with chilies:(2/5) The intestines were neither crispy nor soft. They were chewy and flavourless, which was surprising considering they were super oily. It also came with peppers. This dish did not impress me. Beef noodle soup:(3/5) The soup broth was quite watery and too salty. There was a lot of sliced beef. The beef tasted fine and had a fine texture. The noodles were average. It also came with some Bok Choy. Overall the noodles were quite average, considering price, taste, and portions. Service:(3/5) The waitress refilled our waters twice. However they did not clear plates after we were done using them. They were also subtly rude. The service was borderline, but I expected better from a place with only 3 tables of customers. Ambience:(4/5) Place looks modern and clean despite its age. There were some paintings on the wall. Since there was not a lot of people eating, the place was pretty quiet. Side note: they also have an iced jelly dessert for free if you leave a 5 star review. (I did not get this personally because I don't like leaving fake reviews that don't align with how I feel about the place.) Overall the ambience was nice but I could not recommend the food here.

The orange chicken is tasty too. The desserts were just okay, they look fun and cute, but the flavors were a bit simple for my taste. The staff are very nice, friendly, and quick, which made the experience even better. The restaurant is a little old, but it's still clean and comfortable. Overall, it was a nice place to try , I always enjoy exploring new spots and gaining new experiences

Not my favorite spot for Szechuan!…read more The waitress's rec for my friend who really wanted something Szechuan spicy was not spicy at all - tasted like it was spiced with red pepper flakes and some other hot sauce that just seemed really greasy. We also asked for more bok choy since there was only 2 pieces in the whole dish and they charged us $2 for that. I didn't think that was very fair. When asking for water, be sure to be ready to pay for bottled because they don't serve tap. You must buy a beverage. Overall the squid was tasty and crispy, my delights were satisfied by the novelty items like having dragons breath in a decorated dragon den, and at night this place has been a treat to be in (bustling with students coming for the lights and other novelty plushies/labubu's and holographic decor) but this would not be my first choice to bring family to for an authentic experience.

Order at the cashier, grab a number, and food will be served to you. Needless to say, I ordered the 4. Shanghai pork mini soup dumplings which were $10.25 for 6 dumplings. I would've loved less dough, more soup, overall bigger portion size (larger dumplings or more of them). Otherwise, the soup itself was tasty. We also ordered the 14. Chongqing Fried Spicy Chicken $13.95, which was a platter of boneless chicken and peppers. I was very impressed with the crisp exterior but soft/juicy interior of the chicken. I'm not usually a spice person, but I was left feeling tingly but not in pain and not numb. Overall I found Heng's Kitchen to be disproportionately pricey given the taste and portion sizes. I'm pretty critical and discerning about my XLB, and this place did not totally satisfy my craving, although I was pleasantly surprised about the chicken. Note: rice is not included with any dish and is $1 extra. Free room-temperature self-serve water available.
