I'll never come back. Today was the last straw. I went inside to place a to-go order and sat at the bar. The lady (owner) asked if I was placing a to-go order, and I said yes. Instead of grabbing me a menu, she immediately got up to help another table and didn't come back for about five minutes. When she finally returned, she asked if I was ready to order. I calmly replied, "I don't have a menu." She seemed irritated, as if I was somehow in the wrong for asking for one. I also asked for a glass of water while I looked over the menu, but that water never came. A couple of minutes later, she came back again and asked if I was ready to order. As I was telling her exactly what I wanted, she continued to have an attitude the entire time. At that point, I simply got up and walked out. Her demeanor was off from the moment I sat down, and that's no way to treat a paying customer, especially when you're charging premium prices for the food.(Which they do, but that's another story) Customer service is the foundation of a great restaurant, and unfortunately, this experience had none. This place was good! My co-worker and I placed our orders online for pickup through DoorDash, and didn't have any issues. We didn't stay to eat, but the dining room looked very clean and it did not seem busy when we came to pick up our food around 1230pm on a weekday. There was a small bar area and lots of tables in the dining room. I ordered the Orange Chicken with Lo Mein and it was good. My other co-workers came by here once and highly recommended some of their other dishes so I'll have to try one of those next time. read more

Customer service was good but food was pretty bad. I don't ever leave negative reviews but it's not ok to serve this terrible of quality to your customers. I ordered the $22 orange chicken bundle for takeout. It came with fried rice, a drink and an egg roll the size of my pinky (not being dramatic). Portions were a good size other than that but the egg roll was the only decent tasting item. The orange chicken was cold and soggy as if it'd been sitting for a while. The chicken pieces were tough and tiny and the batter completely fell off when you take a bite. The picture below is just the batter that fell off the chicken. We have been ordering from Panda Garden in Ahwatukee for nearly twenty years. In the last month, we ordered again, expecting the same great tasting food we have come to expect. However, when we got home with the order and served it up, the food was so salty and spicy we could not eat it. I called to find out why and learned that the restaurant ownership has changed. The person with whom I spoke on the phone, would not tell me who the new owner is and hung up on me. We will NOT be ordering from Panda Garden in Ahwatukee again. read more

I've been a regular here since 2022, but unfortunately the experience has declined over the past year. This used to be my go to for a quick, high quality lunch. The orange chicken and sweet and sour chicken were always great, but the flavor has been off lately. What's more disappointing is the recent decline in accuracy. Twice in the last month, I was given fried rice instead of the white rice I ordered. The first time, I didn't have time to go back. This week, it happened again. While the staff was helpful enough to swap it out for me, the extra trip effectively killed my entire lunch break. It's a shame because the convenience was a huge draw, but it is becoming hard to justify the time and energy. I hope they can get back to their old standards. read more

The Egg rolls are a total RIPOFF, you are supposed to get two in the order but they actually cut one in half and call it two so each person only gets a bite size! Also, the egg custard tarts are another joke as you get 4 little bite size in an order for $5.95, asking for a refund! The entree was very good though. read more

I ordered from the establishment and online it showed that the chicken fried rice was a different price than when I got there now, it really was no big deal because it was only a few dollars more and I was the only customer in the place but there was a new lady that I've never seen before so I was pointing out to her that the price online said this she became very upset and began to yell out at me and tell me about the online price that I saw. The fact that she became very indignant and raised her voice at me, cut me off guard. I reminded her I'm a grown woman and I don't know who you think you're yelling at it became escalated for at least 5min or more. I'm very disappointed in how I was treated she even had the nerve to follow me outside to look at my car plates now I could've taken this different ways as maybe you're following me to try and attack me after I already paid $47.00 and left the establishment for more confrontation, which is what she wanted . I had never had an issue here. I've been going here for at least four years, but this treatment is totally unacceptable. Her following to me to my car and continuing the argument over two dollars is not acceptable and it was crazy to me or my family and I don't think I'll be going back! Everything from the way it used to be a few years ago. I haven't been eating there because the food quality has went down in the past few years. I ate there a few months ago and the appetizer platter tasted like a bowl of grease or oil. My family wanted to eat there today we ordered takeout and when we got it home same oil and grease. I've been coming to this place for years and have always loved it, especially the owners, which makes this review really disappointing to write. Something has clearly changed. We had a terrible experience during our most recent visit. Our order was wrong, we received sweet and sour chicken instead of orange chicken. We called right away to let them know and said we'd come back to get the correct order. The phone call itself was already a bad omen because she was already arguing with me over the phone and getting upset and telling us that we did order sweet-and-sour chicken and not orange chicken. The call ended by me explaining that we would be coming by to either get a refund or the correct order. My husband was the first one to attempt getting the order. He was immediately met with aggression by the manager and what she was upset that we had put sauce on the chicken because she couldn't use it again. Which was appalling because she basically admitted that she was planning on reselling the chicken. She continued to argue with him and insisted the order was not wrong. She offered no solution, no replacement, and no apology. She then took back the chicken we had already received, which honestly made us uncomfortable, as it felt questionable whether it would be reused or resold. After letting people dining at the establishment, know what she just said about reselling the chicken,My husband came home with out a refund furious. So I decided to try to get a refund. When I walked in, the hostess looked like she had just finished crying. The manager walked in while I was speaking to her and started yelling at the hostess to stop crying multiple times. I can tell just by this interaction that she was not crying because she was afraid of my husband, she was crying because she made a mistake and was afraid of the manager. I can only assume that when my husband left, the manager was yelling at that young hostess and terrified her.I tried to speak to the manager about getting a refund, and I was met with immediate aggression, even though I was calm. She refused to give me my money, at this point is when I brought out my camera to film because she started acting erratic. Just to avoid me, she turned up the music in the restaurant to full blast so she couldn't hear me and started singing loudly and pacing crazily around the restaurant. I continued to film and sit in the chair, waiting for a refund. During this interaction, the "manager" decided to start mocking me and inevitably screaming at me in my face because I was filming our interaction. At this point, I just started matching her energy and screaming back because I was afraid of her. I blew air into her face like I would do a toddler having a tantrum while she was screaming, to get her away from me without touching her. I was in shock. This is when people from the back came out to see what was going on. A young man from the back finally showed interest in what was going on and took me to the side to talk to me calmly. This did not please the manager and she was pissed at him and would not let him talk to me. I feel so bad for him and I am assuming she will be retaliating somehow. This crossed a line far beyond poor customer service. I sat back down on my chair, calm down and continue to wait for my refund. That is when she decided to hock a massive juicy spit wad into my face. After this is when she FINALLY called the owner, Which should've been done to begin with, he came in to smooth things out and eventually gave me the refund I originally requested. Honestly the damage is done though so I will not be returning. I also have a full video I am willing to post to prove exactly who the initial agressor was. I was calm until the manager was in my face screaming absolute nonsense while I continued to ask for a refund. I backed off and she proceeded to walk by and spit a large glob of spit into my face. This was honestly a situation where I should've called the police immediately when she refused to give me my money back and was acting so erratically, however, I've just never experienced this in my whole life so I was in shock and just really didn't know how to respond at the time. This was completely unlike the service we've experienced here for years. I don't know if there has been a change in ownership or staff, but the customer service was disappointing and handled very poorly. Oh no, I hate to give a review like this to a true local restaurant and one we ate at once before and gave 4 stars. But, the reality is this, we got takeout and... The food was delivered hot and fresh and looked great. We ordered a spring roll, General Tso's chicken with white rice and spicy Szechuan chicken with lo mein noodles. (1) The spring roll is a giant deep fried egg roll that was exceptionally bland and tasteless. The "sweet and sour sauce" was so sweet it was like a melted popsicle. (2) The General Tso's Chicken was breaded with what seemed like tempura batter and was mushy and soggy and the sauce lacked flavor, it was also extremely bland. (3) The spicy Szechuan chicken followed suit, it was exceptionally bland and flavorless. It seems all of this food is made for extremely main stream pallets with very little flavor or originality. The best part of the meal was the steamed white rice and the plain lo mein noodles. Not ideal. I was going to give this restaurant a one star review, but the food itself wasn't spoiled or cold and we didn't have any significant issues other than all of the food being below mediocre. I'd give this experience a 1.5 star rating. The only way I would return to try this restaurant again would be to see if this was an isolated experience. read more

I love takeout and especially a good Chinese takeout!! First and foremost, let's talk about the portions they give you. I'm so thankful for the heavy scoops because I couldn't stopped eating the Singapore rice noodles! The flavors were amazing and the seasoning was on point. I love pot sticks, and these ones are okay. Not the best I've had but okay. The Orange chicken was cooked to perfection. Even the crunch of the coating of the chicken had a nice crunch but also a bit fluffy/airy. Would come here again!!! The food was a disaster! Tasteless and horrid. I ordered lettuce wraps, the only thing resembling lettuce wraps was the 4 lettuce leaves they included. It described minced chicken and vegetables, they were in huge chunks, had to throw away the lettuce because it would fit in the leaves. No Gluten Free soy suace though, or many gluten free options in general. For a gluten free option, I opted for Rice noodles with chicken and veggies, no soy sauce. I was wanting large veggies, like broccoli and zucchini and carrots, but received more shredded veggies and was hoping for more. The rice noodles were perfectly cooked and the chicken was tender.
