    Fried rice
    Jen H.

Customer service was good but food was pretty bad. I don't ever leave negative reviews but it's not ok to serve this terrible of quality to your customers. I ordered the $22 orange chicken bundle for takeout. It came with fried rice, a drink and an egg roll the size of my pinky (not being dramatic). Portions were a good size other than that but the egg roll was the only decent tasting item. The orange chicken was cold and soggy as if it'd been sitting for a while. The chicken pieces were tough and tiny and the batter completely fell off when you take a bite. The picture below is just the batter that fell off the chicken. The fried rice came in a dirty takeout box (pictured) and tasted like burnt oil.

Food was delish! We had it delivered. All was warm and taste just right! We will order again!

I ordered from the establishment and online it showed that the chicken fried rice was a different price than when I got there now, it really was no big deal because it was only a few dollars more and I was the only customer in the place but there was a new lady that I've never seen before so I was pointing out to her that the price online said this she became very upset and began to yell out at me and tell me about the online price that I saw. The fact that she became very indignant and raised her voice at me, cut me off guard. I reminded her I'm a grown woman and I don't know who you think you're yelling at it became escalated for at least 5min or more. I'm very disappointed in how I was treated she even had the nerve to follow me outside to look at my car plates now I could've taken this different ways as maybe you're following me to try and attack me after I already paid $47.00 and left the establishment for more confrontation, which is what she wanted . I had never had an issue here. I've been going here for at least four years, but this treatment is totally unacceptable. Her following to me to my car and continuing the argument over two dollars is not acceptable and it was crazy to me or my family and I don't think I'll be going back! The elderly couple that worked there were always kind and I even had a relationship with the older woman where we were often talk. I'm still in disbelief. This is the new lady, I took her pic while I was leaving and before she rush out side!

Amazing food and sweet people! Support this gem--Panda Garden deserves more love! Ordered take out, sesame chicken, orange chicken, and moo goo gai pan--everything was fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The interior has been recently remodeled and looks great. Friendly staff and great service.

The restaurant is very welcoming, and so are the hosts. We ordered seafood dumpling soup, and hot and sour soup. It was delicious :)! For entrees we got Beef Lo Mein and Kung Pao Chicken accompanied with white rice. So so good and tasty! Service was very fast, and prices are fair! 100% recommended amazing, authentic Chinese food!!

Honestly I have not. Though I was not aware they had Xiao Long Bao.. I love that though so it would be good to try at least for me.

Their food is consistently the same no matter how busy it is, most recently during a heavy dinner hour - prime time. Yes, expect to wait, we started the 30 plus wait time out side and then inside in the small waiting area. It's not fancy by any means. TVs with a game on, servers moving about, and a steady stream of to go orders. We had King Pao Chicken, Beef with broccoli and Mongolian Beef. Also Wongs fried rice & appetizer plate and soups. I had hot & sour soup, absolutely delicious, a little spicy as it should be. My Mongolian Beef was probably the best prepared, very tender beef and flavorful I've had, and always consistently the same each visit. The other entrees severed were equally flavorful, tender meats and served fresh & hot. Servers are kind and knowledgeable of each dish and offer suggestions of their favorites. The seating area is in need of updating but very clean, as are the restrooms. But it's about the quality, quantity & consistency that keeps me returning. Just go!

Every dish was prepared beautifully and packed with flavor, but the lobster was truly divine. Perfectly cooked, incredibly tender, and infused with the aromatic flavors of fresh ginger and green onions, it was one of those dishes that leaves a lasting impression long after the meal is over. The beef and shrimp lo mein were equally delicious, with rich savory flavors and generous portions, while the walnut shrimp was perfectly crisp with a delicate sweetness that balanced the dish beautifully. The fried rice was the perfect complement to everything on the table. We also enjoyed a few sake bombers, which are hands down the best we've had anywhere. They are always perfectly prepared and have become a must-order whenever we visit. They pair wonderfully with the food and add an extra touch of fun to an already fantastic dining experience. It's probably the fanciest Chinese restaurant I've been to in AZ. The lunch menu is excellent and quite impressive! There are 8 entrees to choose along with a side for only $20. What's crazy is that a full size seafood and wagyu beef belly jjampong is a side! They're regularly $24 so it's a crazy deal to get an additional entree!! We ordered seafood jjampong and wagyu beef jjampong as sides and genghis khan beef and chili garlic fried chicken as mains. The jjampong had that great umami taste without the oiliness that's unavoidable at other restaurants. The ingredients felt very premium and fresh. Ghengis khan beef pieces were very generous and tender with a savory sauce. Chili garlic chicken was a tad salty for me but had great crisp. Service was impeccable and one you'd expect from an upscale restaurant. I can't wait to go back to try other dishes from the lunch menu. We also ordered beer and a whisky drink so we weren't cheap. The food was pretty good. The ticket time on my entree was about 10 minutes but the other two at our table didn't get their food for almost half an hour. No consistency. I may try this place again much earlier in the night.

The shrimp was excellent. Very early in our meal they were persistent in clearing our table. (we're still working on that); when they picked up the last few plates plates the server had our check in her hand. By golly she wanted us out of there! (Um, we kinda wanted another glass of wine...). Why? The place wasn't packed. Why the rush? The food is fine, as I mentioned, but the vibe was off for us. Gotta support local when you can I say! The menu is pretty basic and has all your typical options for Americanized Chinese food. Wanting to get something that had noodles in it, I opted for the combination #1 which has chow mein crispy noodles, pork fried rice, and two tempura shrimp. Quite a lot of food and for a very reasonable price! I think the combo was around $10. If you are a fan of bean sprouts, this is your place. The chow mein had a massive pile of beansprouts on top. The noodles were indeed crispy but they was such a meager portion compared to the beansprouts. The fried rice was pretty basic but also a generous portion and the two tempura shrimp had a nice crispy batter. I tried some of the eggroll too which is one of the most unique versions I've had since the super crispy outer layer was either a different preparation or different wrap material than I'm used to. The interior was made primarily of beansprouts too. Service was good. Our food was prepared fairly quickly.

The fact that the restaurant was very close to our Airbnb, and did not require a reservation also felt like a sign to make the visit. The spot is definitely trendy, and parking was tricky. Uber/Lyft would be my recommendation, but there is a paid parking garage down a couple of streets. We didn't need a reservation since we had a small party, but I would recommend if if you're coming with a party of four or more. We sat at the bar and ordered four dishes from different categories, which was a great way to sample the menu; though honestly I think we probably could have gotten away with just 3 dishes for a party of 2. We tried Yam Mamuang Boran (old-style green mango salad), Boo Pad Pong Garee (crab curry with ginger), Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai (dry tom yum with wide noodles), and Naem Khao Tot (crispy rice salad with fermented pork sausage). The noodles and salad were definitely my favorite though everything was seasoned really well and incredibly flavorful. What I loved most was how thoughtfully prepared everything felt. The restaurant has a really sincere, home-style feel, and you can tell the food is rooted in tradition while still feeling special and elevated. I really want to believe it was a fluke. Rushing to get food out quickly to mimic Thai street food is not desirable when quality is sacrificed and the customer is paying almost $40 for a plate.. I will say the food came out within minutes of ordering. Our server was nice and patient. I needed some extra time to look over the menu and he didn't rush us to order even though he was very busy. The food was so lackluster and it pains me to say that about a Thai restaurant. Every dish was just missing something, whether it was some spicy or citrus. Every dish was very one dimensional. The Boo Pad Pong Garee, or stir fried crab curry, was dry and underwhelming. It was missing spice for me. There were huge chunks of crab though. The Naem Khao Tawt, or crispy rice salad, may have been my favorite bite of the night. It had a great balance of textures and flavors. It was refreshing and helped cut through some of the dryness of the crab curry. I loved the cured pork sausage. Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai, or the stir fried flat rice noodles with squid, wasn't terrible. I love flat rice noodles and they had the distinct char that you would get from wok cooking. Loved that. The flavors overall weren't bad. Just again, underwhelming and lacked a good balance of flavors. I would have liked more spice, citrus, and umami. We did not care for the creme brûlée duo. The hibiscus one was soooooo intensely sour that it was almost inedible. It was very bright though. The lemongrass one reminded me too much of a savory lemongrass soup that I couldn't enjoy it. Some of the spiel and verbiage that the team had was a little pretentious and awkward. I saw them "kindly" kicking out a table for sitting past their reservation time. I've never ever seen a restaurant do that before. Really not that bad but really not worth the $20-$40 price tags either. I'm open to coming back and trying other dishes. I really think I may have came on a bad night.
