Extra Crispy General Tso's Tofu - A black plastic takeout container holds General Tso's tofu with a glossy sauce and a piece of green bell pepper, placed on a wooden table.

I've been going here for years and it never disappoints. Extra crispy general tsos tofu is my go to! Fast service and always delicious. Don't sleep on this place.

Spicy Fried Rice - A small, irregular piece of food, possibly fried rice, is placed on a thin, bent metal wire on a white surface with some stains.

found metal in my fried rice cut the inside of my mouth unacceptable service is always rude when yiu point something wrong out

A foam takeout box contains stir-fried noodles with vegetables and beef in a dark sauce, typical of Chinese cuisine.

The food was incredible it's funny to me that this place has been so close so long and I am just now trying it . The chicken fried rice was with white meat . When I called in I asked the lady for hot mustard and chilli oil she had no issue giving it to me and already had it in the bag . Most places charge or you have to remind . My hunan beef was beyond flavorful they're prices are amazing and you get a great amount . I'll be back soon to try more items forsure .

Dining room currently closed due to Covid but, still beautiful. - The image shows a restaurant corner with a large abstract painting, a small table with two black chairs, and some gas cylinders near the counter.

I have eaten at Chopstick Expresa for over 15 years. They have a great menu. They are prompt with their service. Wonderful employees. I'm vegetarian so I love that they can make anything with tofu. And they just started serving cheesecake. Oh my!

two bowls of soup and a box of rice - Two plastic takeout containers with soup are placed inside a cardboard box, with a decorative item and receipts on a restaurant table.

Never order from here. Cold and cooks forget a lot. More work than it's worth. Expect to wait at least 30 minutes

If you're not a fan of lamb I understand but love the small tender morsels seasoned with mala spice. Also highly recommend the chive and meat dumplings. We ordered the fried pork intestines with chilies, the west lake soup, and the beef noodle soup. West lake soup:(1/5) The west lake soup had egg, and beef and pork cubes. However there were not enough beef and pork cubes for the price. It was watery and not very fragrant. The portions were average. It did not taste very good. I would not recommend this dish if you are looking for authentic west lake soup. Fried pork intestines with chilies:(2/5) The intestines were neither crispy nor soft. They were chewy and flavourless, which was surprising considering they were super oily. It also came with peppers. This dish did not impress me. Beef noodle soup:(3/5) The soup broth was quite watery and too salty. There was a lot of sliced beef. The beef tasted fine and had a fine texture. The noodles were average. It also came with some Bok Choy. Overall the noodles were quite average, considering price, taste, and portions. Service:(3/5) The waitress refilled our waters twice. However they did not clear plates after we were done using them. They were also subtly rude. The service was borderline, but I expected better from a place with only 3 tables of customers. Ambience:(4/5) Place looks modern and clean despite its age. There were some paintings on the wall. Since there was not a lot of people eating, the place was pretty quiet. Side note: they also have an iced jelly dessert for free if you leave a 5 star review. (I did not get this personally because I don't like leaving fake reviews that don't align with how I feel about the place.) Overall the ambience was nice but I could not recommend the food here.

I especially enjoyed the beef skewers ,they're my favorite dish here. The orange chicken is tasty too. The desserts were just okay, they look fun and cute, but the flavors were a bit simple for my taste. The staff are very nice, friendly, and quick, which made the experience even better. The restaurant is a little old, but it's still clean and comfortable. Overall, it was a nice place to try , I always enjoy exploring new spots and gaining new experiences

Not my favorite spot for Szechuan!…read more The waitress's rec for my friend who really wanted something Szechuan spicy was not spicy at all - tasted like it was spiced with red pepper flakes and some other hot sauce that just seemed really greasy. We also asked for more bok choy since there was only 2 pieces in the whole dish and they charged us $2 for that. I didn't think that was very fair. When asking for water, be sure to be ready to pay for bottled because they don't serve tap. You must buy a beverage. Overall the squid was tasty and crispy, my delights were satisfied by the novelty items like having dragons breath in a decorated dragon den, and at night this place has been a treat to be in (bustling with students coming for the lights and other novelty plushies/labubu's and holographic decor) but this would not be my first choice to bring family to for an authentic experience.

Order at the cashier, grab a number, and food will be served to you. Needless to say, I ordered the 4. Shanghai pork mini soup dumplings which were $10.25 for 6 dumplings. I would've loved less dough, more soup, overall bigger portion size (larger dumplings or more of them). Otherwise, the soup itself was tasty. We also ordered the 14. Chongqing Fried Spicy Chicken $13.95, which was a platter of boneless chicken and peppers. I was very impressed with the crisp exterior but soft/juicy interior of the chicken. I'm not usually a spice person, but I was left feeling tingly but not in pain and not numb. Overall I found Heng's Kitchen to be disproportionately pricey given the taste and portion sizes. I'm pretty critical and discerning about my XLB, and this place did not totally satisfy my craving, although I was pleasantly surprised about the chicken. Note: rice is not included with any dish and is $1 extra. Free room-temperature self-serve water available.
