We arrived a little before 7pm on a Tuesday and were greeted and seated immediately. The restaurant was about 30% full. From researching on Yelp I learned this place specializes in Baja Mexican food, seafood and we were looking for a place that served ceviche. Bingo! We ordered the Torro de Mariscos to share, a seafood tower consisting of shrimp ceviche, cooked shrimp, octopus, squid, aguachile, avocado, cucumber, red onion, topped with a tomato sauce. Enjoy on cracker or corn chips. We were hungry and started eating on arrival, so my picture is post tower demolition. Hehe Checkout the menu for a picture of the tower presentation. I had a similar dish last time I was in San Carlos deep sea fishing and this was right there on flavor and freshness! Very comfortable atmosphere with bright color mural paintings and mariachi music playing in the background gave the feeling that I was in Mexico! I'd like to start by saying I was pleasantly surprised by this place they have the best oysters I've had in Arizona. Everything tasted fresh, and you can tell they take pride in their quality. When I arrived at the table, I was served chips and salsa. The chips were perfectly crunchy with a delicious flavor and tasted homemade. The drinks were both beautiful and delicious perfect for catching a nice buzz and snapping a few pictures. You don't know me! Those are places I grab a quick lunch from by my work. I base my reviews on experience, temperature of food, accuracy of my order, quality & taste. We recently had dinner at High Tide, so I do value fresh premium-grade seafood for a premium date night. We do not go to fast food restaurants for date night dinner. Everything I said in my review was honest, so you can attack me all you like. I will definitely not be coming to your restaurant to change my opinion & review now. My friend & I ordered the guacamole & it was wonderful!! We each also ordered three taco. 1 fish, 1 chicken & 1 shrimp. At first I didn't want the rice & beans but so glad I changed my mind! So good!!! The corn tortillas were outstanding as well. Our margaritas were so good as well. Jenny our server was the absolute best. She was so friendly. I had to go back again for these fish tacos. I can't believe they were even better this time than last. Maybe I was just extra hungry from the michelada which was also delicious. When I arrived the restaurant was busy. I've been before and know just how small the kitchen is so I was more than happy to wait a little longer for my order and didn't bat an eye when my server let me know it would take a little bit longer as they had to accommodate a large group in the adjoining dining room. Their staff is always gracious and attentive and thoughtful. When I got home the food was still hot and crisp. Their attention to the details and the excellent quality of each menu item is exactly why I write reviews and support small businesses like this one. I urge you if you read this far to try them out. Everything about this place is a 5-star experience! The taste, atmosphere, music, and drinks were all incredible. I ordered the Molcajete Mar y Tierra and it was perfection--the chicken was absolutely heavenly, the shrimp and steak were delicious and full of flavor. We also had the oysters, which were served with a savory salsa sauce that elevated the fresh oysters beautifully. To top it off, I enjoyed a Paloma that was refreshing and perfectly balanced--not too sweet--with a fresh dehydrated slice of grapefruit. I had a craving for a surf & turf burrito I guess better know as a Mar y Tierra Burrito but didn't know where to get one. I I searched Yelp and found a little place close to me, 'Mexico Magico' that had them so I thought why not. I'd driven by this place hundreds of time & never considered it. I couldn't order it online due to them not allowing special instructions (I wanted some things deleted) so I had to go inside to order which was fine. I was greeted by a nice friendly young lady and she provided me a menu. But they didn't have the Mar y Tierra Burrito on their new menus so she had to ask the chef if he could prepare, and he did. I order it with no pico wanted very little rice. Thought it was a little pricey after I wanted cheese on it, but I had to feed my craving so I was ok with it. I was told about ten minutes and the young lady actually brought it out to my car as I waited. The burrito was big and tasty, but it had lettuce on it which wasn't on the description on their website. So that was a bummer I hate lettuce on my food but the carne asada was tender and flavorful. I felt the shrimp could of been seasoned better but overall it tasted good. They provided chips and salsa on my takeout order which was a nice surprise, I thought the chips were a little well done, or maybe they just need to changed their oil they cooked it in. Both the red and green sauces were good, the red was the hotter of the two which was fine. I could of used two of each since I ran out. I was the only one there where I walked in, but as I waited some folks did go in. Will I go back, probably, overall experience I'd say 8 out of 10. read more

It is run by a husband and wife team who are dedicated to their cuisine, friendly and go all-out to please customers. They actually talk to their customers to make sure the food is prepared just the way they want it! Their table salsa is the best I've had anywhere. I ordered shrimp fajitas, my favorite. The grilled shrimp were plump and juicy and came with mounds of grilled onions and peppers and a generous portion of rice and tangy refried beans with a silky smooth consistency. They are very knowledgeable about different tequilas and will take the time to recommend one that suits your palate. My wife and I decided to try this relatively new spot out....and I'm so glad we did because HANDS DOWN it is one of the best, if not the BEST Mexican Restaurant in Chandler, AZ...and quite possibly in the greater Phoenix area. We were immediately greeted by owners Albert and Yseña and the pride and passion they have for their menu offerings was evident. Let me just say that the Mocajete and the Coctel were incredible and favored the Baja California style with a flavor of southern San Diego, Tijuana, Rosarito, Puerto Nuevo, Ensenada! But let me tell you... the Ensenada Fish taco was OFF THE CHARTS and was likely the BEST fish taco that we've ever had. Tortillas are hand made fresh. Rice and Beans were delish. The salsas had a ton of flavor and fresh. The place is simple. The Reggae & Mexican music paying in the background isn't blaring. You can actually have a conversation at your table. The entire VIBE of this place makes you want to come back for more sooner than later. This will be regular spot for our restaurant rotation for years to come... Mexico Magico is damn good!
