Long bar for food and drinks.
Michael Y.

Not sure why anyone would mention anything in an unfavorable review regarding the food because that is...if not the most important, aspect of a great establishment. And Burritoholics absolutely nails it when it comes to the food, atmosphere and service! From the moment you step in- you get treated like family. The menu is simple but the recipes are not. The food reminds me of the meals my Nana use to make- made with love and attention. Do yourself a favor and stop in to see for yourself. In a world of same ol same mexican food- Burritoholics stands on its own as an original!! When it comes to providing the whole experience, in what youd expect from a fine mexican food restaurant- this place does it the best and is waaaay cooler than anywhere else you can think of ! Do yourself a favor and come in! You'll see....

Good morning, Hope everyone is ready for Christmas? Well last night Jen & I met up with some friends to go out for drinks & lite dinner, we all felt for Mexican food so headed over to Burritoholics to give them a try, the interior of the restaurant was decorated nicely and some cool mirrors on the walls, didn't have to wait long as we got there just before the crowd hit, I ordered the two Carnitas Tacos and a few ordered Carne Asada Burrito & Bean & Cheese Burrito. If you Chips & Salsa that has to be ordered separate as it's not a freebie . YFI, before you pour on the Salsa be sure to check which is which as I poured the HOT one on my tacos, well, wasn't able to eat the second as it was just to hot which = Hiccups. Over all it wasn't bad and as the crowd kept coming in that should say something it self. Have a Very Merry Christmas to all and be SAFE in your travels.

This place has a really nice Mexican/Latin culture vibe--great atmosphere and a spot you can actually enjoy sitting in. The restrooms were super clean and the service was very friendly and attentive. The horchata is really good. It is definitely a highlight. Prices are fair overall, and I like that you can order a bowl instead of a burrito. The pancakes are also a great deal at $5 for two. A few things could be better: the guacamole portion was really small (basically a tablespoon). The eggs were overcooked and came out dry, and the salsa wasn't my favorite. Overall, it's still a place worth checking out, especially for the price and the vibe.

We were on our way to the Mesa Arts Center and needed a quick bite, so we stopped at Burritoholics for the first time--they've been open about a year. Everything was delicious! I ordered the bean and cheese burrito enchilada style with a margarita, and it was sooo good. My husband loved the chili relleno with a beer (bonus: beers are half off on Thursdays). We finished with a churro--just $2.50 for a little sweetness. We were already stuffed from the burritos, so it was the perfect size and price!

Fajita burrito

Located in downtown Mesa, we wanted to try a burrito place that we could walk to from our hotel, Burritoholics had a good but simple menu, the staff was amazing and friendly, the restaurant was very clean with outdoor seating. I got the fajita burrito it was pretty good, we also ordered a carne asada burrito and corn quesadillas that were very good, you are able to add and subtract ingredients to really make your own burrito. Be careful of their hot sauce haha got me !

I've been eyeing this spot since the "coming soon" signs went up forever ago, and I finally made it in! The interior is vibrant, culture-rich, and so eye-catching that I couldn't resist snapping a few photos. The lady helping my boyfriend and I (I'm pretty sure she's one of the owners) was incredibly kind and friendly -- she actually engaged in real conversation with us and even offered us an Agua Fresca on the house. We went with cantaloupe, and it was perfectly refreshing! That type of warm, personable service makes you feel like family and definitely makes you want to come back. We both ordered the carne asada burritos (beans, rice, onion, cilantro, and tomatillo salsa) with mild and habanero salsa on the side. Even though we took them to go, they were still fresh and flavorful when we dug in. Next time, I think I'll add sour cream for a little razzle dazzle. If you're in Downtown Mesa and craving a burrito that hits all the right notes, Burritoholics is worth the stop.

Side of chicken

Needed some extra protein on my salad I brought from home. Popped in here for a side of chicken. While absolutely delicious and very flavorful I felt like $7 is a little pricey for the amount you get. I would not expect the price to go down but would definitely love to see a larger portion given for the price.

CARNITAS TACOS best tacos in Arizona hands-down!

I had the Carnitas tacos and chips and salsa. Best tacos in AZ hands down! I loved that the taco was served on a double tortilla with cheese in the middle. Staff and service were great!

This happens to be a family favorite restaurant. I love all the artwork painted on the walls. Such a fun atmosphere! The prices are right! The burritos are delicious! The chips and salsa were plentiful and the guacamole was fantastic. We love this place so much. Order at the counter, get your number, and they will serve you at your table. There is free parking in the back of the restaurant and you can also enter from that side. Excellent experience! I highly recommend this family-owned restaurant.

Fried Shrimp with raspberry chipotle dipping sauce
Chris Q.

I stopped by Burritoholics on a whim after seeing a picture of their fried shrimp online plus I happened to be picking up dinner from a restaurant right next door. I'm so glad I gave them a try because the shrimp was incredible! The shrimp were fresh, perfectly breaded, and cooked just right. The raspberry chipotle dipping sauce was the perfect mix of sweet and a little spicy, honestly addictive. I chatted with the manager while ordering, and he confidently told me I'd love them. He wasn't lying! One bite and I was already planning my next visit. If you're looking for a delicious starter that's worth the stop, definitely try the fried shrimp at Burritoholics. I will absolutely be back!

We've been wanting to try this place for ages. I went with a simple bean and cheese burrito. You need to buy chips and salsa separately ($4) which they jokingly called "Mexican Popcorn" when they brought it out. You always wish that was included with your meal, but that's how it goes sometimes. It was pretty good, as was my burrito. I want to call out the service above everything else though. I was really struck by how much the people care here. We were checked on multiple times by different workers - just making sure we liked our food, seeing if we needed anything, grabbing boxes for us etc. That's not something you see often at a fast casual place. There's a real pride in their restaurant which I appreciated seeing.

I have been waiting for this place to open for what seems like a decade. Of course it hasn't been that long, but it was a long time and the anticipation built. I jumped at the chance to be able to come for a late lunch here. First I have to say that the art in this place is incredible. It's like a restaurant in a gallery! They actually let you go in the kitchen to see the art, a lot of it done by family members - - very talented family members. If you go in the front door make sure you walk all the way through and go out the back door to see the mural on the exterior wall. Amazing! There's a bar where you can order a margarita to go with your burrito, but being a work day we couldn't partake. The menu is quite large with all different kinds of burritos, which can also be made into bowls. We ordered the carne asada burrito and the fajita burrito. I like the carne asada burrito a lot, but the fajita burrito really was my favorite. The veggies in it were cooked to perfection! The burritos are pretty big size. We were each only able to finish half the burrito at lunch and took the rest home. I love that they offer to get your drink to go before you leave, too. This service here is fantastic. Everyone seems so eager to please, and everyone was so nice and friendly and excited to share the story of this and their other restaurants (Mangos and El Sol) and of the artists who have painted the walls. After chatting with owner Pam, we left there feeling like we had made a new friend. I can see us returning over and over and trying all the burritos! FYI they open at 9:30 so it's also a good place to grab breakfast, too.

From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were hanging out with friends. The vibe was relaxed and welcoming, with beer-themed decor lining the walls and a lively group of people enjoying the soccer game on TV. We grabbed a high-top near the beer fridge and were checking out the menu online when Saad, who was working behind the bar, came over to introduce himself and welcome us in. His energy was awesome - super friendly and easygoing - and he made us feel right at home. He checked in to see if we had any questions, which was a nice touch. We tried a bunch of different beers, both from the taps and the cooler, and honestly loved them all. You can tell they're really passionate about craft beer here. We'll definitely be back- this place is a gem!

Decided…read moreto pull out my phone. and instead of using Yelp, I actually just punched cheesesteak into Waze, and what do you know?! I ended up finding the cheesesteak joint. This is actually a food truck, which is parked on the side of the Tipsy Catcus, which is a really cool brewery I also checked out while I was waiting for my order. This is a really chill brewery, and not a huge spot. Maybe 8 to 10 high top tables with bar seating, and a mostly open floor plan. They have a small patio too, with what looks like about another tables but because I visited at night, nobody was outside. They also seem to be extremely dog friendly as they had one table with a really chill cocker spaniel completely laid out on his side in the middle of the floor. I'm not sure how many taps they had in total, but definitely more than 40 I would say. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I ordered a cider. The cider I was served was on tap and really tasty. And it definitely hit the spot of terms of price point. One thing to note, while I was talking to the owner/manager of the tipsy cactus (shout to him because he was really cool), he told me that Friday night and Saturday nights are usually popping so I wouldn't expect to be first in line on any of those nights. It also looks like they rotate food trucks on different nights, so don't assume that the cheesesteak truck is going to be here every night. I would check the tipsy cactus website, or Instagram page to be sure. I'll definitely be looking forward to checking this place out again in the future, especially if I'm hitting one of the food trucks parked outside.

Ambiance (3.5/5): Pedal Haus has a nice patio when the weather cooperates (it was summer when I stopped by so it was a no-go), so we ended up sitting inside. It's not a huge brewery, with some high tops and seating at the bar. We sat at the bar. Pretty much your typical brewery vibe... chill. Service (4.5/5): Friendly, attentive, and efficient service. Exactly what I look for. A job well done. Food (N/A): We ate prior, so we were on a liquid diet. Drinks (4/5): I love going to breweries to have a flight so I can try a nice variety of their beers. Which is exactly what I did beer. A good number of their beers are IPAs or dark beers which aren't my style. Luckily, there were still four beers that were right up my alley for a flight... typically I have a greater selection of brews that interest me. All good though because the brews I had were tasty. We also shared a margarita beer which was cool. Always fun when a brewery has liquor too. Phoenix has a lot of cool breweries. I'm glad I got to check this one out!

They have their beer listed on the wall, along with the style of beer, and the alcohol content. The beers are listed in terms of light on the left, and darker and darker as you go right. Which makes it easy to make a selection. I picked out my flight and enjoyed all of them. Goldwater Crossings has more of the IPA and dark beer varieties than my personal taste prefers, but I still had some good options.
