This place has a really nice Mexican/Latin culture vibe--great atmosphere and a spot you can actually enjoy sitting in. The restrooms were super clean and the service was very friendly and attentive. The horchata is really good. It is definitely a highlight. Prices are fair overall, and I like that you can order a bowl instead of a burrito. The pancakes are also a great deal at $5 for two. A few things could be better: the guacamole portion was really small (basically a tablespoon). The eggs were overcooked and came out dry, and the salsa wasn't my favorite. Overall, it's still a place worth checking out, especially for the price and the vibe.

Good morning, Hope everyone is ready for Christmas? Well last night Jen & I met up with some friends to go out for drinks & lite dinner, we all felt for Mexican food so headed over to Burritoholics to give them a try, the interior of the restaurant was decorated nicely and some cool mirrors on the walls, didn't have to wait long as we got there just before the crowd hit, I ordered the two Carnitas Tacos and a few ordered Carne Asada Burrito & Bean & Cheese Burrito. If you Chips & Salsa that has to be ordered separate as it's not a freebie . YFI, before you pour on the Salsa be sure to check which is which as I poured the HOT one on my tacos, well, wasn't able to eat the second as it was just to hot which = Hiccups. Over all it wasn't bad and as the crowd kept coming in that should say something it self. Have a Very Merry Christmas to all and be SAFE in your travels.

We were on our way to the Mesa Arts Center and needed a quick bite, so we stopped at Burritoholics for the first time--they've been open about a year. Everything was delicious! I ordered the bean and cheese burrito enchilada style with a margarita, and it was sooo good. My husband loved the chili relleno with a beer (bonus: beers are half off on Thursdays). We finished with a churro--just $2.50 for a little sweetness. We were already stuffed from the burritos, so it was the perfect size and price!

Located in downtown Mesa, we wanted to try a burrito place that we could walk to from our hotel, Burritoholics had a good but simple menu, the staff was amazing and friendly, the restaurant was very clean with outdoor seating. I got the fajita burrito it was pretty good, we also ordered a carne asada burrito and corn quesadillas that were very good, you are able to add and subtract ingredients to really make your own burrito. Be careful of their hot sauce haha got me !

I've been eyeing this spot since the "coming soon" signs went up forever ago, and I finally made it in! The interior is vibrant, culture-rich, and so eye-catching that I couldn't resist snapping a few photos. The lady helping my boyfriend and I (I'm pretty sure she's one of the owners) was incredibly kind and friendly -- she actually engaged in real conversation with us and even offered us an Agua Fresca on the house. We went with cantaloupe, and it was perfectly refreshing! That type of warm, personable service makes you feel like family and definitely makes you want to come back. We both ordered the carne asada burritos (beans, rice, onion, cilantro, and tomatillo salsa) with mild and habanero salsa on the side. Even though we took them to go, they were still fresh and flavorful when we dug in. Next time, I think I'll add sour cream for a little razzle dazzle. If you're in Downtown Mesa and craving a burrito that hits all the right notes, Burritoholics is worth the stop.

This happens to be a family favorite restaurant. I love all the artwork painted on the walls. Such a fun atmosphere! The prices are right! The burritos are delicious! The chips and salsa were plentiful and the guacamole was fantastic. We love this place so much. Order at the counter, get your number, and they will serve you at your table. There is free parking in the back of the restaurant and you can also enter from that side. Excellent experience! I highly recommend this family-owned restaurant.

Fried Shrimp with raspberry chipotle dipping sauce

I stopped by Burritoholics on a whim after seeing a picture of their fried shrimp online plus I happened to be picking up dinner from a restaurant right next door. I'm so glad I gave them a try because the shrimp was incredible! The shrimp were fresh, perfectly breaded, and cooked just right. The raspberry chipotle dipping sauce was the perfect mix of sweet and a little spicy, honestly addictive. I chatted with the manager while ordering, and he confidently told me I'd love them. He wasn't lying! One bite and I was already planning my next visit. If you're looking for a delicious starter that's worth the stop, definitely try the fried shrimp at Burritoholics. I will absolutely be back!

We've been wanting to try this place for ages. I went with a simple bean and cheese burrito. You need to buy chips and salsa separately ($4) which they jokingly called "Mexican Popcorn" when they brought it out. You always wish that was included with your meal, but that's how it goes sometimes. It was pretty good, as was my burrito. I want to call out the service above everything else though. I was really struck by how much the people care here. We were checked on multiple times by different workers - just making sure we liked our food, seeing if we needed anything, grabbing boxes for us etc. That's not something you see often at a fast casual place. There's a real pride in their restaurant which I appreciated seeing.

Fantastic staff and unbelievable burritos! Living in Arizona for over 25 years, I know good Mexican food and especially burritos. I had the steak and egg breakfast burrito and I am reminded how little AI knows about what humans can do. The ambiance was spectacular, they had a multitude of color and neon type signage. Great paint work as well, and cold Mexican beers. When in Mesa, rock this place

Tacos Carnitas & peach cider on tap

Burritoholics should be a mandatory stop on your Phoenix itinerary. We had the solo taco (carnitas) dish. Melted cheese and guac as the base and the pork was tender and juicy. We always judge southwest cuisine by the salsa and it's superb--smokey and a "little" hot. The cider on the menu is from Cider Corps down the street. We had peach on tap and it was perfect! The owners are friendly and interested what you thought of your meal. (Rare these days). We would absolutely come here again.

I have been waiting for this place to open for what seems like a decade. Of course it hasn't been that long, but it was a long time and the anticipation built. I jumped at the chance to be able to come for a late lunch here. First I have to say that the art in this place is incredible. It's like a restaurant in a gallery! They actually let you go in the kitchen to see the art, a lot of it done by family members - - very talented family members. If you go in the front door make sure you walk all the way through and go out the back door to see the mural on the exterior wall. Amazing! There's a bar where you can order a margarita to go with your burrito, but being a work day we couldn't partake. The menu is quite large with all different kinds of burritos, which can also be made into bowls. We ordered the carne asada burrito and the fajita burrito. I like the carne asada burrito a lot, but the fajita burrito really was my favorite. The veggies in it were cooked to perfection! The burritos are pretty big size. We were each only able to finish half the burrito at lunch and took the rest home. I love that they offer to get your drink to go before you leave, too. This service here is fantastic. Everyone seems so eager to please, and everyone was so nice and friendly and excited to share the story of this and their other restaurants (Mangos and El Sol) and of the artists who have painted the walls. After chatting with owner Pam, we left there feeling like we had made a new friend. I can see us returning over and over and trying all the burritos! FYI they open at 9:30 so it's also a good place to grab breakfast, too.

I have been wanting to try this place for some time. I went with my significant other and met up with friends. The decor/ambiance is great. Of course they have many different burritos to pick from. I went with the carne asada which was good and can easily be shared. Their breakfast burritos are served all day so my boyfriend got the bacon and egg burrito which he enjoyed. There also had a live band which made us stay longer and enjoy a few beers. I will be back to try their green chile burrito.

    Breaded shrimp with sweet sauce
    Veronica N.

I popped in here with a few friends to grab a quick bite to eat. There were lots of good hearty menu items to choose from but I just wanted a snack so I opted to go with the shrimp. It was delicious- crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. It came with a sweet chipotle dipping sauce. A perfect pairing. The interior had plenty of seating with a bar if you prefer to grab an alcoholic beverage. The staff were friendly and the owner came by to check in on us which was nice to see. I would recommend this spot to grab a bite to eat. Come hungry because the servings looked big!

I hate picnic style seating because it doesn't give you back support. Which made me want to avoid the patio. Service (5/5): Super friendly service. The guy working the bar did a great job. I ordered one beer and called it a night. A seamless experience from beginning to end. They also have complimentary water in a water cooler, which is always a nice ou Food (N/A): I read they have food trucks, but I didn't see any when I visited. I had dinner prior anyway. Drinks (4.5/5): I love trying new beers and Chupacabra has an excellent selection. They have a rotating screen above the bar. This is actually a food truck, which is parked on the side of the Tipsy Catcus, which is a really cool brewery I also checked out while I was waiting for my order. This is a really chill brewery, and not a huge spot. Maybe 8 to 10 high top tables with bar seating, and a mostly open floor plan. They have a small patio too, with what looks like about another tables but because I visited at night, nobody was outside. They also seem to be extremely dog friendly as they had one table with a really chill cocker spaniel completely laid out on his side in the middle of the floor. I'm not sure how many taps they had in total, but definitely more than 40 I would say. I'm not a big beer drinker, so I ordered a cider. The cider I was served was on tap and really tasty. And it definitely hit the spot of terms of price point. One thing to note, while I was talking to the owner/manager of the tipsy cactus (shout to him because he was really cool), he told me that Friday night and Saturday nights are usually popping so I wouldn't expect to be first in line on any of those nights. It also looks like they rotate food trucks on different nights, so don't assume that the cheesesteak truck is going to be here every night. I would check the tipsy cactus website, or Instagram page to be sure. I'll definitely be looking forward to checking this place out again in the future, especially if I'm hitting one of the food trucks parked outside.
