Cafe de olla con una concha.

They beans and rice is good so for a Mexican food restaurant if those are good most likely the experience will be good with the rest of the food. Love the music not loud good to be able to cary a conversation. The satff is super welcoming, and helpful. The young man who helped us with our order was very noce and explained what the plates had and was patient with our order. I had ted chilaquiles and they are good, love they add plenty in the plate i had 3 eggs on top of my chilaquiles. My mom is picky and often has something to say about food and she loved her beef flautas. We also absolutely loved the concha was very soft. My mom loved they had the variety of salsas. She likes her food spicy so it is good that they keep in consideration what different costumers like.

saw this place on yelp & decided to try because the reviews and the price was affordable(or so I thought) I took a look at their menu online, & on their website but wasn't able to place an order online so I went to the location, and the prices shown on their own website and here yelp, aren't the same in person. On their website and yelp it shows their tortas are priced at 11.99 , but in person they're 16$. You don't even get a drink with this order. I didn't realize how much it was until after I payed. Basically 35$ for two tortas.. Super deceptive practice considering you can't place an order online you have to go in person. The tortas are mid and definitely not worth 16$.

    Combo #10- 2 Chile Rellenos

Taco El Paisa is on a whole different level. We ordered the chile relleno combo plate, the birria tacos (on soft corn tortillas, of course), and the beef fajitas--and OMG, everything was freaking amazing. The chile relleno was perfect with a smokey flavor with just the right amount of heat. The birria tacos? Juicy, flavorful, and came with that rich consommé that dreams are made of. And the fajitas tender, and packed with bold flavor. You can seriously taste the love and authenticity in every bite. This is the kind of spot you want to tell your friends about--but also kind of want to keep a secret because it's that good. If you're still eating at chain Mexican restaurants, you're doing it wrong. Get to Taco El Paisa ASAP!

    Refreshing pineapple agua fresca!

Wow, I was happily surprised when I came to visit the other day! First timer here. The food my son and I ordered was so good. First, we were greeted in with a warm welcome. The place is clean and their menu is extensive up on the wall. It was easy to read and follow, too. So we were excited to order a few things, starting with 2 pineapple agua frescas (refreshing!) and 2 birria street tacos which were the start to flavorful eating! Each combination plate came with rice and beans, and so we ordered a 3 hard, shredded beef tacos and a 5 rolled taco combo. They dress the platters beautifully and they are generous! We also ordered a machaca breakfast burrito (that comes with tortilla chips) for the next day. We love that there was salsa bar with red, green, and smoky salsas, a red pico (my fave), lemon wedges, sliced cucumbers, and spicy veggies. Their guacamole was so creamy and both the rice and refried beans were good tasting in the combos. I need to try their conchas and cafe de olla next time! Returning for more soon!

Very good place to eat Mexican breakfast good service and good food plus big meal can't finish my food

Food was unseasoned, cold, dry, and had very little sazón. The service was great! However the wait for the drive through was 15 minutes. I only ordered 4 tacos, rice, 3 quesibirrias, and 2 drinks for $45. I got home from this place which is 4 minutes away. Food smelled good, however never felt so disappointed in a matter of 10 seconds. The tacos had no sabor. Extremely greasy, which would have been good if the meat had matched the energy. They had the perfect amount of meat, cilantro, and onion. It was just right. But man, the tacos were NOT good. I had asada and al pastor. The al pastor had no pineapple, just dry burnt pork pieces. The rice had like frozen vegetable mixed in it which isn't very good. The rice was warm but it wasn't my favorite. Horchata was extremely sweet and 75% ice. The only thing that was good was the quesibirrias. That is just juicy enough and delicious. That was solid but after 2, it was a lot to take in. Probably a skip for me this time YA'LL.

Carne Asada plate, two tacos of tripas and a quesadilla. All of this for two people and still had leftovers.

Food was fresh and very good. We would recommend this place, we enjoyed it, we will come back when in the area again.

This place has the best tacos ever! I highly recommend their quesobirria tacos Or their chicken or asada tacos. You won't be disappointed!

The wet floor sign. Floor has dried by the time I took this.
    Emily W.

Let's first start with price. Each taco is $4.75. At first my thoughts was "that's super high" but after getting my food, it was a decent size. I got two birria and one pastor. The birria meat tasted like menudo. And the pastor had no flavor. My next issue was while right after they served our food, one of the ladies started to sweep the floor and then after another started to mop. Advice, don't sweep near a customer when they are try to eat. Particles go up into the air. And it kills the enjoyment of eating when smelling fabulous vs my food. This giving why I would rate it a two star. Now for the ambience, I do like the hat and light fixtures. Also the wallpaper is cute and different.

    Concha and Cafe de Olla
    Mike M.

We had the Chilaquilas and Huevo Rancheros and it was delicious. A little pricey but the food was awesome. Our only complaint was we ordered 2 coffees and they served us some concha and the coffee was called Cafe De Olla. @$9.98 it was not worth it. We should have been told they don't serve regular coffee. Service was great and the food was worth the trip. We also noticed at 9 in the morning we were the only ones in a full restaurant that had this "coffee" we'll be back for the good food but not the coffee..

Authentic Mexican food sounded perfect and I knew good things were in store when I arrived at 11:30am on a Friday and all of inside and outside tables were full. The inside is quaint but has quite a few tables. They also have tables out front in the shade (to call it patio seating may be a stretch, just simple tables and chairs on the exterior of the entrance). You order your food at the counter and I didn't study the menu ahead of time but the ladies taking my order were patient with me. I ordered a shredded beef taco and a cheese enchilada with rice and beans. Nothing fancy for my first time as it's hard to golf on a full stomach! I found the only open table and then hit up the salsa bar. They have 4 or 5 different salsas/hot sauces and a few other goodies. I got a small cup of each sauce and all of them were quite good. My food was colorful, flavorful and just the right away to give me some energy without being lethargic. I could go on about a few other nice things but it seems most of East Mesa already knows about this place given the high scores on Yelp from a lot of reviewers. Nothing to prevent me from giving a 5* review at this time. I look forward to trying some more dishes in the future.

I'm posting this review for two reasons - The first being because the manager passed the restaurant phone over to the supposed "owner" after I called within five minutes of getting home to tell them the chips and taco shells tasted like they were fried in old, rancid oil. The manager told me she could offer a credit and when I said I would prefer the refund to my card is when she went to get the "owner". I'm fairly sure I wasn't an asshole to her. I was pretty peeved at this point because we're talking about almost $16 of the $49.11 which was the cost of the food I ordered before tax and tip. I work in the service industry/for tips too so I get it. I'm well aware of the price increase of everything everywhere!!! Before going to Ritos I waited in a line of 10 cars at Sam's Club for gas and gas was $49.65. So there's that. The "owner" also reiterated that a refund would only be given if I brought the food back. I'm sorry, but, I live 15 minutes away from Mesa Riverview. My employer was 30 minutes from the restaurant. I sure as f*ck wasn't going to get my ass back in my car and drive back to Ritos to give them shitty tacos and chips. They told me they would offer a credit for next time for chips and 2 tacos - and I guess that's acceptable but my question is - how are you going to provide that when you don't have my number or an email address for me? And aren't chips typically complimentary at a Mexican food restaurant when you dine in? The manager had the audacity to say that the oil was changed, the chips and tacos are cooked in different vats, the cost of meat has gone up and "everyone is feeling it." That's quite the level of audacity. I'm to the point where I don't give a about your credit and if I want Ritos I'll drive even more out of my way to the Garfield or 7th Street location. I'm more pissed off about the "owner's" attitude than I am about the $2.55 chips I threw in the trash. And the taco shells didn't taste too rancid drowning the inside in salsa. My mother was in her bedroom in the back of the house (I was in the kitchen) and just told me she could hear the owner yelling at me and what a sh*tty way to do business. Keep your credit, I won't be back to your locatiom to dine in OR take food to go. PS - Change your raunchy ass oil. As you said, consumers pay *way too much* to get home with a To Go order to have to throw it away because oil isn't changed frequently enough.
