CHILES RELLENOS, cheese enchilada, double beans and a fried egg
    Amber A.

If you are in the mood for some good flavor and authentic Mexican...visit Sol Azteca. Food was really good. I got a chili relleno, cheese enchilada, double beans and added a fried egg on top. I also got Christmas sauce (red and green). I got the Lunch special and it around 14 dollars. Service was really good. Only gripe was the beverages machines, all the drinks were watered down and the horchata was thick and super sweet. Had to toss it. Otherwise, food is on point.

The food is true Mexican. Quantities are quite large. The restaurant seating is minimal, but there is outside options. The staff was seriously friendly, upbeat and eager to serve. It's clean, cheerful, and good price points for menu options.

Wow! Hole-in-the-wall yumminess!! The Horchata was the best I've ever had. It was unique with pieces of apple and coconut. Tasted like liquid Cinnabon! For my meal I had the Talapia and shrimp with a creamy/cheesy mushroom sauce. And were those homemade corn tortillas?! Yumm! My husband had the Nachos with steak (I stole a little piece) Soo good! It was busy but we got a seat right away. Would love to come back soon.

So, my wife and I were just in the area and were craving tacos. This place is freaking amazing y'all. I got the Molcajete and it was literally the best one I've had. I couldn't believe the price of it for what I got. I'm on a GLP1 shot so I couldn't finish the whole thing but you know my fat a$$ took it home and had it for supper and for fourth meal too. This is a hidden gem. I highly recommend this place.

Carne asada street tacos. Salsas were great!

My regular go-to in this area was closed so I found this well-rated spot and despite it being around 2 pm on a weekday it was quite busy. Always a good sign! It's a counter-serve spot but plenty of tables inside and out and a pretty extensive menu. I got tacos and randomly ordered a tamale to go for later to try it. I think they wanted the tamale fresh as they didn't seem to start making it until I was done with my food. I ended up regretting ordering it as I just wanted to be on my way post-tacos but was waiting around for this impulse tamale. I enjoyed the carne asada street tacos for the most part but found the corn tortillas on the thick side. It looked like most people had burritos around so I would try those next. Salsa bar had really good salsas! The tamale was fine but I found the red sauce on it pretty heavy and sweet. Not for me but just a matter of preference. Staff was nice and restaurant seemed very clean.

We live not far from here and finally decided to give Sol Azteca a try. Very glad to find a quick taco (my favorite) place close to home! Service was friendly and prices fair. It's a small place and many people did pick up but we found a table and ate inside (there is limited seating outside too. Looking forward to other visits and trying different things. Solid A!

    Classic Burrito.

We visited in the early afternoon. There was a steady flow of customers, both eat-in and take-out. We were greated at the counter by friendly staff members. We had the classic burrito (carnitas) and the seafood burrito (tilapia). Both were quite flavorful, with a great combination of ingredients. The refried beans on the "plate" were rather bland.

Four of us went to this establishment and it was the first time for me and one friend. We were greeted cheerfully before we came through the doors. We ordered at the counter, picked our sauces at the condiment counter, and sat down. Our food arrived very quickly and was steaming hot. Everyone enjoyed their plates and most of us had to take some home - generous portions. This establishment appears to look like a fast food restaurant but it makes up in service, quality of food, and attentiveness of staff.

I have been coming here for a few years now, the quality never changes it's always fresh and amazing. They have a salsa bar with great options and it's always stocked. The staff is kind and helpful, would definitely recommend for a relaxed date night.

My mom and I came here for dinner. Glad we did! I got the crummy taco plate which came with rice and beans. I asked for both chicken and beef tacos. Both were great- seasoned very well and was indeed crispy. We also got the horchata. Delicious-not too sweet just right. Near the end we found bits and pieces of apple and coconut. Yum! Definitely recommend coming here for anything in the menu. My mom got the enchilada and she enjoyed hers as well.

Sol is a phenomenal with great food and a great atmosphere. What really sets this apart from some of the other places is their chips and queso and the Arizona burrito. Really high quality stuff. I also love their fish taco, delicious. Really make my nipples hard. Can't wait to see what they do next! Great service too.

Updating my review since it's been a few years and I've been back many times since the last one. The horchata is still a favorite and they've made some changes to the menu, including making the digital version MUCH more legible (I've got "old man eyes," but the font and color scheme now is significantly easier to read than it was before) The Mole Poblano is consistently fantastic and service was fast and friendly. While it is never really crowded when we've been there, it does seem to keep busy, including a good amount of take-out business. The salsas at the bar are flavorful and offer a good variety of tastes and spice levels.

I found this gem thanks to Yelp. Hubby and I finally checked it out tonight for dinner. We walked in, two chicks were in front of us ordering and no other customers. It was an early time for dinner. Maybe 5pm. We looked over the menu and decided on these two meals. After ordering we went the immaculately clean salsa bar and geared up. Our food was brought out us. Decent time. No too long of a wait and not so short you questioned if they cooked your food to order. They definitely do. By now this place is getting busy! The patrons won't stop coming in. I said to my husband "thank goodness we got here when we did" it's small so tables are limited. The food. Oh the food. It was sooooo good! The shrimps were cooked perfectly and seasoned perfectly on both dishes. The sauce on the mushrooms seafood platter my hubby got was great! I don't like mushrooms but the sauce was excellent and he loved the fish so much. He literally cleaned the plate, lol. My salad, the lettuce was so fresh, the corn, beans and fresh cheese were really good too. The dressing was great! Salsas are really good and tasty too. I love they tell you what's hot and what's not. We will be back. The service was excellent, the food was excellent , the restaurant was excellent z it was all excellent. Thank you!

My friend, who is not a seafood person, ordered the NY strip, and it was excellent: well seasoned and cooked perfectly. I had the soft-shell crab roll as a smaller main course. It arrived noticeably after my friend's steak, but the restaurant handled it beautifully. They comped it without us asking, and the manager came over to chat with us. Use to visit the Chandler location weekly 12-14 years ago.. even told our kiddos that tonight when we brought them here. Problems started as soon as we got our food. All the food came out besides our son's children's steak, was told they had to cook another one. As we were waiting for his steak, my husband noticed his steak wasn't a ribeye like he ordered. He suspected it was a NY Strip Steak. About 7 minutes goes by and manger brings our sons steak. My husband asked the manager if his steak looked like a NY strip to him and manager replied "yes, I think we have the best NY Strip" and my husband nicely replied, I didn't order a Strip, I ordered a Ribeye and told the manager it was fine, he would eat it still and still tasted good but didn't want to be changed for a Ribeye since he got the strip wrong. ($12 difference) I got the firebirds bacon chicken pasta with steak instead of chicken and no tomatoes and green onions. Well.. there was def tomatoes and onions and no bacon. And I was changed $30 for pasta and steak.. that wasn't even made the way I asked. Well my son's (late) steak was suppose to be medium and it was rare. By the time the server came back my son was eating some of my husbands steak and my pasta so we just asked the server to take his meal off the check because it was late and cooked wrong. She said it was absolutely cooked wrong and insisted to bring him a new steak as well as take it off the check. She even asked him to put his steak on a plate and "she'd throw it away and they'll make him a new children steak." Well manager comes back and tell my husband that his steak was in fact a ribeye (it was def not a ribeye.. no marbling whatsoever) and dropped off our sons steak.... It literally was the pieces we had cut up that they just threw back on the grill. Even pieces our son chewed and spit out when it was rare and too chewy for him. Like GROSS!!! They did take the children's steak off the check and gave us a free dessert( which we didn't even want, we would have rather paid the correct amount for my husbands steak...) The waitress was fine, none of this was her fault because she read us back what we ordered and had it all correct.. but she fell short as to getting us refills (never even offered a 2nd round of wine or beer) and when it was time for the check we gave 2 gift cards $50 each and our card to pay. She brought back our copy to sign and she only took off 1 $50 gift card. We had to call her over and she realized she didn't use both giftcards and had to void our card and redo it. The managers were busy the whole night talking to upset tables. This location really needs to get their stuff together. Again, nice to offer dessert but truly all we wanted was to get what we paid for and how we asked for it and tonight wasn't it. Literally felt like we were scammed outta $160. we will be taking our $$ elsewhere.
