This is not fry bread I ended up scraping the toppings off and threw it away.

New Mexican Grill has always been our go to place for fry bread.. we are so beyond disappointed it tasted doughy (uncooked), thick as a pizza had no flavor! Has something changed New Mexican Grill?

#4 Green Chile Pork Burrito Combination Platter

Place is ok. Service is great, but unfortunately the food was disappointing. Was told by a neighbor that this is a great place to come try. I asked the server what is their top menu item and she said the Chili Pork Burrito. So I ordered it and it came out with sauce on top, like an enchilada. Meat was dry too. I hope other items on the menu is better but this as overall disappointing.

This place rocks! The food was awesome, the service was great, and the pricing is perfect. I went there with the intention of getting a green chile plate. I'm glad I asked how hot it was, and they answered honestly and said pretty hot. I tried some from my brother-in-laws plate and boy was it hot! Very tasty though. I ended up with the red chile plate and a beef taco which were both perfect. I'll definitely be back. Thanks guys!

This is a small diner-type restaurant. Step right up to the counter and place your order after perusing the extra-large menu. I love the Fry Bread (topped with ground beef, I get it with a side of red sauce) and my husband loves the Huevos Rancheros (with Christmas sauce). Both are delicious and served up hot. We have only come here for breakfast, I imagine the lunch options are just as tasty.

Whoa, so we came here for Date Night, normally we have it on Sunday but this location is closed on Sunday's. Worth the wait. Janna ordered the Bean and Cheese Fry Bread and I ordered the Machaca Fry Bread! It was so good, we had so much food, we brought half of it home. The staff here is great, it's a sit down restaurant kinda but not really but they make you feel super welcome and come and check on you from time to time. I asked for Hot Sauce and he brought me a bottle of it, it was super spicy but the good spicy where it had heat but still an excellent flavor. My meal was good before but this added like a +3! I'll 100% ask for it the next time we come back. Janna liked it as well, so we ordered a quart to go! So worth it. This place rocks, we will definitely be back. Janna and I have a friendly competition to see who can have a better date night, this was a no brained Janna wins!

Grilled chicken taco and grilled steak taco

This was ready turbo speed, but was not fresh. The food was lukewarm, and as you can see, the cheese wasn't even melted on my nachos. There was a sparse sprinkle of pico de gallo on them. I got sick after a few bites of the tacos and had to throw them away. So much potential but clearly this food sat out and they didn't take the time to even heat it back up.

    Carne Asada Fries

My husband has tried this place but the family had not, so for his birthday we ordered for pick up last night. There were six of us and we got the carne asada fries, some variations of fry bread, chicken taquitos, sopaipillas, a carne asada burrito, and chicken tacos. All of it was fresh and excellent. We have a couple of refried bean connoisseurs in the group and they raved about them. Same for the carne asada fries - not something I ever order but the two people who got them said they were the best they've had. We usually get Someburro's for fast casual Mexican, but I think this place will be our go to now. Someburro's is still solid but this food felt more flavorful and fresh.

Chile Relleno Plate (to-go order) -- So flavorful and delicious!

Parking 5/5 Always a challenge but coming early and doing the circle dance landed us a nice space across from the Liberty Market. Atmosphere 5/5 Such a cool restaurant with allot of history dating back to 1935/1958/2008/2022 which reflects the years of the establishments service and architecture evolutions. Always a great vibe here! Service 10/5 Our experience tonight began with the beautiful and friendly hostess Bailey. She greeted us with a warm smile and asked us what our seating presence was. We grabbed a booth overlooking Page street and the foot traffic outside. Our server tonight was Treven who joined us table side. He had our drink and starters in quickly. My wife ordered the Lucky Penny Latte and I had iced tea. Starter was their out of this world Burrata. The photos fall short of its glory. Entrees was their memorable minestrone soup, and I ordered their sesame ginger noodle salad featuring sweet potato glass noodles which are delicious and a host of smartly paired vegetables, chicken and a pleasant ginger sriracha delivering some spice and heat without overpowering the dish itself. For desert we fell way off the wagon with their in-house carrot cake. A slice easily feeds four and we enjoyed ours with espressos. Dinner was excellent from the service to the scratch kitchen food, and expressos, Magnifico! $125.00 with tip and leftovers too. Date night my friends-SYOY!

We started with large French fries served with two smallish containers ketchup and chipotle sauce. Fries good but could have a bit hotter and served with insufficient amount of sauces. 3. I'd come back just for a bowl @ $17. 5. Hubs and I shared the wood fired pepperoni pizza. This may have been one of the worst pizzas I've had in recent years. Floppy, scant cheese and sauce. Shriveled basil and tiny pepperonis. Even worse, the bottom was black. Just awful. 1. Our waitress and other servers were all friendly. Nice vibe, clean and gender inclusive restrooms clean and tidy. We might come back for dinner one day and try other dishes. (I'd still get the soup). Super convenient given the Hale theater's close proximity. Well def come back for coffee and dessert! ~EG Eats

I don't know who invented avocado toast, I just know I love it. A nice smear of avocado on some fluffy bread? Yes, please. A bunch of us from my spin class decided to get together on a Sunday for brunch and here's what I munched: Grande Chicken TInga Nachos ($18 - Shredded chicken tinga, queso, roasted tomato salsa, black beans, pico de gallo, roasted jalapeño, cilantro lime crema): Okay, maybe I don't recommend the nachos. While topped with a good amount of cheese on top, once congealed, any chip on the bottom that you pull out is just going to be a naked chip. They do top these chips off with a generous amount of toppings. Brunch Burger ($19 - Angus beef patty, sunny side egg, avocado, applewood smoked bacon, cheddar, sriracha aioli, hash brown patty, brioche bun, choice of fresh fruit or breakfast potatoes): I shared this burger and requested the kitchen to cut it for me which they did. Very thankful that they were okay with the request. The burger itself was decent. It was a little weird to eat as the tiny hash brown patty made the structural integrity funny but it's not a deal breaker. I will say that it needed more sauce or something. The burger was dry after a few bites. I also had my lunch with the most savory and spicy Bloody Mary. It was amazing and probably one of my favorite Bloody Marys in a long while. The woman was shaking her head and saying to the waitress "this isn't okay to be doing while people are eating", pointing toward our kids. Once I realized this, I immediately called my kids back over and had them sit with us, and I even let her know that if something was bothering her, she could've told us and I would have addressed it right away. The couple chose to ignore us and left shortly after. The manager then came out and reassured us that Lucky Lou's is a family-friendly restaurant and that our kids were absolutely fine. That meant a lot to us and really showed how supportive and understanding the staff is. I also hope one day that couple realizes how hard it is to keep a 4-, 6-, and 8-year-old sitting at a table for more than 30 minutes without shoving an iPad in front of them.
