Don't skip on this place!!! It is legit! I've driven by it so many times and finally decided to stop. So glad I did! I wasn't super hungry so I went with the Carne Asada taco, and though it filled me up- my mouth wanted more!!! They don't skimp on anything and everything was fresh! Carne was moist and flavorful, pico was delicious and the sauce options were a perfect blend of flavor and spice. I can't wait to come back here! Juan was excellent, friendly, and helpful! We stopped in this place for the first time a couple of days ago because I needed to establish where my go to Sonoran hot dog place was going to be now that I've relocated to the Gilbert area. This is a really small spot at the end of a strip mall with pretty good parking. Really clean place with brightly lit menu board so you cannot miss what they are serving. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit here. Service was prompt and the order was perfect. We ordered four Sonoran style hotdogs, but I definitely want to come back and try a couple of the other items on the menu, including the tacos and the burritos. The Sonoran style hotdogs were about as good as it gets. The hotdog itself was a bit smaller than I'm used to and the bacon wasn't as robust, but I'm being picky. This tiny food cart situated in downtown Gilbert offers mouth watering carne asada tacos and other traditional favorites. After leaving one of the bars on a Friday night, this taco stand hit the spot. They have a few tables set up next to their stand which is nice and our order came out fairly quickly. I ordered three carne asada tacos and my friend opted for the nachos. The carne asada was flavorful and these were probably some of the best street tacos I have had. The nachos were good considering they had the carne asada and fresh toppings on top but the nacho cheese and chips were nothing special. There were also a couple of salsa bottles on the tables as well. All in all Midnight Tacos is wort trying and I believe they have an actual location in Gilbert which I will definitely try to stop by. read more

Our experience here like most was great! Food is authentic and delicious. Service was great, ambiance is that of a typical "Hole in the wall" taco shop which is exactly what you want. Their Alpastor must be ordered on corn instead of flower and they do a really tasty bean and cheese taco where they torch the cheese to crisp it up. They also serve old-school bottled soda to wash down the delicious tacos. The person that door dashed tacos had a poor experience because this place is meant to be eaten in person, fresh off the grill. Just my two cents. read more

Was really stoked when I saw this place on-line and how close to my house. Few days ago, we had it Doordashed and it was the worst $30+ I have spent on tacos, salsa and chips. Carne asada tacos (low quality meat) which were over seasoned and chewy. Pollo asado taco was better (reason for the 1 star) and the green sauces they pack up to put on your tacos/burros, I enjoyed. Chips were stale. Next morning, I used the little green sauces on my eggs (since they seemed to be the best thing I got from this place). Salsa and chips, save your money. The large salsa, Ah, no thanks. We had to look at closely to make sure it was salsa. Chips, stale. Not sure why finding a great taco or burrito in the area is so hard to find. We accidentally came across this taco stand and I'm so glad we did! It was 11pm on Saturday night when we decided to stop by. The two guys working were friendly and helped us out right away. We ordered one carne asada quesadilla with the guacamole and pico de gallo on the side, and my friend had a carne asada taco with everything on top. My quesadilla was delicious! The cheese was stretchy and the meat was great! I drenched my quesadilla with the red salsa and it was heaven! My friend enjoyed her taco and she said it was so full of flavor! The quesadillas are $7 and drinks are a $1.50. (They have canned sodas and water) They have three tables available on top of some cute fake grass and our table was clean! My friends and I stopped here late Saturday evening. There was a line of about 8 people in front of us, but the line went pretty quick. I ordered a carne asada quesadilla with sour cream and my friends ordered tacos and a burrito. We grabbed a spot at one of the few tables nearby and waited. The orders came out pretty quickly. I ordered food from Midnight Taco's stand in downtown Gilbert after my 8 hour shift. I went to get myself and my friend food. She is on a diet so I said I would get her a couple of scoops of carne while I got a burrito. The woman taking orders was an absolute nightmare. She was so rude. I asked for a burrito, great, and then when I asked for the scoops of carne, she scoffed at me and rolled her eyes. She crossed my order out and said, "what do you want?" I explained I just needed the meat, no tortilla. She fought me on it, and said she doesn't have a bowl. I said I will take it in a Togo box....? But she made me feel like my request was unfathomable. My burrito was almost $14, and when I looked at my total, she charged me $38 dollars. Which means the scoop of meat she gave me was 23 or so dollars. I couldn't believe how much of an inconvenience she made me feel, and then to charge me such an outrageous amount was even more shocking and it completely ruined my night. The food was pretty good not the worst I've had in Arizona but also not the best! I got a burrito. The reason for the lack of stars is because they seem to be very dirty and have little respect for health codes. While sitting there waiting to order, I watched the cook do at least 5 different things that are health violations. There was no hand washing site available in sight so I can't imagine they wash their hands before handing food. If you are okay with people being gross while handling youre food, then you're fine to eat here but if you're like me and notice everything health related, it will make you sick to your stomach... The cook was sitting on a dirty bucket texting on his phone (he scratched at his nose and head a couple times) and after I order he popped up, threw some gloves on and started touching everything. Great place to get food late at night! I was a little hesitant on coming here because they seem so small. But they definitely pack a punch when it comes to serving tacos and burritos. I've only had one type of meat here which was the carne asada. The meat is extremely flavorful and all the sauces and pico de gallo that they put on the tacos and burritos makes it even better. They aren't on the expensive side but definitely worth the price. I could hardly finish my burrito as it was too big for me. I love the fact that everybody there is so personable and very friendly. I've been here twice with my mom and they've treated us amazingly each time. I'm not sure if they ever get too busy but from both times that I have been there they have been somewhat busy. Ok, they DON'T serve tacos daily until midnight.. BUT - let me tell you.. they are not messing around. We ordered catering service for 20 for a Saturday afternoon (April 30th). The delivery person, I can't remember his name and I apologize, was so fast and friendly. I tried to help with set-up, but he insisted he takes care of it. 3 meats, flour and corn tortillas with all the fixings for 20- and I am beyond impressed. There is so many things wrong with this. First and foremost a wedo is cooking the food. The meat was chewey and had this odd taste. Street tacos are suppose to be on corn toasted tortilla. Not flour.
