This location looks like it is permanently closed? Hanger sign is taken down and tarp is over the entry. They had a good array of food. They tended to undercook their flour tortillas. Sonoran dog was great. So was the chiltipin hot sauce. Too bad. read more

Don't skip on this place!!! It is legit! I've driven by it so many times and finally decided to stop. So glad I did! I wasn't super hungry so I went with the Carne Asada taco, and though it filled me up- my mouth wanted more!!! They don't skimp on anything and everything was fresh! Carne was moist and flavorful, pico was delicious and the sauce options were a perfect blend of flavor and spice. I can't wait to come back here! Juan was excellent, friendly, and helpful! This is a great little stop in the center of Gilbert that really should get more attention!! You gotta try it! read more

Midnight Taco is always clean, fresh and full of flavor! It has become our go-to spot, especially since we can get our favorite tacos AND our favorite gelato all in one place! The Birria tacos are amazing! read more

We stopped in this place for the first time a couple of days ago because I needed to establish where my go to Sonoran hot dog place was going to be now that I've relocated to the Gilbert area. This is a really small spot at the end of a strip mall with pretty good parking. Really clean place with brightly lit menu board so you cannot miss what they are serving. Overall, we really enjoyed our visit here. Service was prompt and the order was perfect. We ordered four Sonoran style hotdogs, but I definitely want to come back and try a couple of the other items on the menu, including the tacos and the burritos. The Sonoran style hotdogs were about as good as it gets. The hotdog itself was a bit smaller than I'm used to and the bacon wasn't as robust, but I'm being picky. I would definitely recommend this if you're in the area. read more

Glad they reopened. Fresh, authentic and tasty Sonoran food. Good service, friendly staff and good seating in a shared space with coffee and Gelato. Give them a try, you will enjoy the fresh tasting menu.. read more

A nice stop after a fun weekend escapade in downtown Gilbert. I didn't expect much from here but was pleasantly surprised with the tacos we ordered. Both the carne asada tacos and al pastor were flavorful. Our friend ordered the Sonoran hotdog was reportedly delicious too so I may try that next time. The price was pretty affordable. The food came out quickly once we put our order in. The food cart was in front of Whiskey Row. We ate our food sitting on one of the benches. Keep in mind they do not have tables and seating. read more

Amount and quality for the price is unbeatable. Really nice woman and the two guys on the grill were absolutely doing their thing

This tiny food cart situated in downtown Gilbert offers mouth watering carne asada tacos and other traditional favorites. After leaving one of the bars on a Friday night, this taco stand hit the spot. They have a few tables set up next to their stand which is nice and our order came out fairly quickly. I ordered three carne asada tacos and my friend opted for the nachos. The carne asada was flavorful and these were probably some of the best street tacos I have had. The nachos were good considering they had the carne asada and fresh toppings on top but the nacho cheese and chips were nothing special. There were also a couple of salsa bottles on the tables as well. All in all Midnight Tacos is wort trying and I believe they have an actual location in Gilbert which I will definitely try to stop by. read more

Cute little place at the end of a strip mall. We love their carne asado tacos and birria tacos! Great service too.

Our experience here like most was great! Food is authentic and delicious. Service was great, ambiance is that of a typical "Hole in the wall" taco shop which is exactly what you want. Their Alpastor must be ordered on corn instead of flower and they do a really tasty bean and cheese taco where they torch the cheese to crisp it up. They also serve old-school bottled soda to wash down the delicious tacos. The person that door dashed tacos had a poor experience because this place is meant to be eaten in person, fresh off the grill. Just my two cents. read more

Was really stoked when I saw this place on-line and how close to my house. Few days ago, we had it Doordashed and it was the worst $30+ I have spent on tacos, salsa and chips. Carne asada tacos (low quality meat) which were over seasoned and chewy. Pollo asado taco was better (reason for the 1 star) and the green sauces they pack up to put on your tacos/burros, I enjoyed. Chips were stale. Next morning, I used the little green sauces on my eggs (since they seemed to be the best thing I got from this place). Salsa and chips, save your money. The large salsa, Ah, no thanks. We had to look at closely to make sure it was salsa. Chips, stale. Not sure why finding a great taco or burrito in the area is so hard to find. But this place was not it. Sorry Midnight taco, I was crossing my fingers we found a new gem in the area. No photos, it went into the trash. read more

They were fantastic to work with. We catered my daughters birthday with the self serve taco bar. The food was great and there was plenty of food to go around. They showed up early to ensure that it was all set up and ready at the time we agreed to. Will definitely be using them again for future events! read more

We accidentally came across this taco stand and I'm so glad we did! It was 11pm on Saturday night when we decided to stop by. The two guys working were friendly and helped us out right away. We ordered one carne asada quesadilla with the guacamole and pico de gallo on the side, and my friend had a carne asada taco with everything on top. My quesadilla was delicious! The cheese was stretchy and the meat was great! I drenched my quesadilla with the red salsa and it was heaven! My friend enjoyed her taco and she said it was so full of flavor! The quesadillas are $7 and drinks are a $1.50. (They have canned sodas and water) They have three tables available on top of some cute fake grass and our table was clean! The music was poppin and the ambience was nice! We will definitely come by again sometime soon! read more

It's a taco spot next to a bar I think but it's a small taco stand so you gotta find parking else where and just walk to them. Menu pretty simple but it is pricey . We got like ten tacos and two drinks for $40. I had the carne asada taco and Al pastor tacos . Pretty good I love the sauce they have . They do have seating but obvious outside and it's cold lol read more

Having a night out and Gilbert and looking for a midnight snack before the next bar? This little taco stand is right in between OHSO and Culinary Dropout. My friends and I stopped here late Saturday evening. There was a line of about 8 people in front of us, but the line went pretty quick. I ordered a carne asada quesadilla with sour cream and my friends ordered tacos and a burrito. We grabbed a spot at one of the few tables nearby and waited. The orders came out pretty quickly. My quesadilla was perfect - cheesy and filled with pico and carne asada. My friend put some of the green salsa on his burrito and he was breaking out a sweat. They have an option to add hot Cheetos to your selection. Maybe next time I'll be more adventurous with my order! read more

I got the carne asada taco. This place is great to go to after Whiskey Row. It has chill vibes. The carne asada was good, the pico was delicious. However, the tortilla was only okay. Maybe ask if they have corn tortillas. The portion was actually larger than what I expected. Good pricing. I will definitely go back! read more

Food was good. Cooked fresh. I got the asada quesadilla and it was a big boy. But for $10 I hope it would be. They accept cash, Venmo, or Cashapp. The owner/cook was nice enough. Tons of drunk people everywhere from the bars. Main target demographics. But with that you'll get all kinds of interesting characters. So it made for an experience. read more

I ordered food from Midnight Taco's stand in downtown Gilbert after my 8 hour shift. I went to get myself and my friend food. She is on a diet so I said I would get her a couple of scoops of carne while I got a burrito. The woman taking orders was an absolute nightmare. She was so rude. I asked for a burrito, great, and then when I asked for the scoops of carne, she scoffed at me and rolled her eyes. She crossed my order out and said, "what do you want?" I explained I just needed the meat, no tortilla. She fought me on it, and said she doesn't have a bowl. I said I will take it in a Togo box....? But she made me feel like my request was unfathomable. My burrito was almost $14, and when I looked at my total, she charged me $38 dollars. Which means the scoop of meat she gave me was 23 or so dollars. I couldn't believe how much of an inconvenience she made me feel, and then to charge me such an outrageous amount was even more shocking and it completely ruined my night. Not the interaction I needed after my shift as well. I will never be back. Thank you for nothing. read more

Midnight Taco has fantastic tacos, burros, and quesadillas. Although I haven't been to the brick and mortar location, I've been to the food cart location on Gilbert Road between Norwood and Liberty Market. Their prices are good and the food is awesome. I understand that they are on Gilbert Road Friday and Saturday and their open late. Check them out and grab fantastic grub! read more

They do a great job of classic street-style tacos with a twist - beautifully browned and melted mozzarella cheese on top. It's a good taco to start, but add the cheese and it's a whole new experience! Pro tip - order your tacos on corn tortillas (you have to ask) and be sure to try their salsas and guacamole. Also don't ever get tacos to go. Eat them there - it's the only way to fully enjoy them. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE when they're closing and/or double check your order! Not sure how they can screw up such a simple menu, but they can! I ordered a taco & carne asada burrito with no beans & no cheese. Upon getting home, I take a bite into a BEAN & CHEESE burrito! Are you kidding me!? I'm not sure if the chefs just didn't want to cook any more meat or they're trying to use the leftovers before they close, but very disappointing. Emailed customer service and have yet to receive any response or acknowledgment. read more

We used Midnight Taco for our anniversary party and highly recommend them. We used the full service catering option for about 250 people. We received nothing but compliments on the food. Juan (owner) and Ruben (manager) were both excellent in their interactions with us. Juan communicated well and we felt very confident that they would deliver an outstanding experience for our guests, and they came through with flying colors. Thanks Juan, Ruben, and the entire Midnight Taco team! read more

Wow, street tacos that use flour tortillas? Yes please. The price per taco may seem high, but you get what you pay for. Quality, quality, quality. His carne asada is marinated just right. Grilled to perfection. Make sure and add the cheese to the taco, that all I have to say. The nachos, damn!!! Just the right kind of flavor in the melted queso. The guacamole and cream as delicious. Sorry Joy Ride, his tacos are better. read more

The food was pretty good not the worst I've had in Arizona but also not the best! I got a burrito. The reason for the lack of stars is because they seem to be very dirty and have little respect for health codes. While sitting there waiting to order, I watched the cook do at least 5 different things that are health violations. There was no hand washing site available in sight so I can't imagine they wash their hands before handing food. If you are okay with people being gross while handling youre food, then you're fine to eat here but if you're like me and notice everything health related, it will make you sick to your stomach... The cook was sitting on a dirty bucket texting on his phone (he scratched at his nose and head a couple times) and after I order he popped up, threw some gloves on and started touching everything. Just because you put gloves on doesn't mean you're being clean.... I tried this place to try it, but I can say with certainty that I'll never be back read more

Great place to get food late at night! I was a little hesitant on coming here because they seem so small. But they definitely pack a punch when it comes to serving tacos and burritos. I've only had one type of meat here which was the carne asada. The meat is extremely flavorful and all the sauces and pico de gallo that they put on the tacos and burritos makes it even better. They aren't on the expensive side but definitely worth the price. I could hardly finish my burrito as it was too big for me. I love the fact that everybody there is so personable and very friendly. I've been here twice with my mom and they've treated us amazingly each time. I'm not sure if they ever get too busy but from both times that I have been there they have been somewhat busy. Havent had to wait to order. Definitely will be back again to try another burrito but this time adding chips inside! read more

Ok, they DON'T serve tacos daily until midnight.. BUT - let me tell you.. they are not messing around. We ordered catering service for 20 for a Saturday afternoon (April 30th). The delivery person, I can't remember his name and I apologize, was so fast and friendly. I tried to help with set-up, but he insisted he takes care of it. 3 meats, flour and corn tortillas with all the fixings for 20- and I am beyond impressed. The food was a MAJOR hit, and while not the cheapest - but it's close and far better than some I have ordered for more. (Not to mention we had leftovers for a week!) Midnight taco is amazing. Thanks so much for making our event awesome. read more
