Tacos Tijuana is my absolute favorite local taco shop! It's easily one of the best taco spots in the area and genuinely holds up when compared to authentic tacos I've had in Tijuana. I was looking for a Taco Tuesday special to go. I passed by this restaurant a few times and decided to try it. No waiting, it was empty. The keto taco was the best thing I ordered and I think it's because the cheese taco shell gave the meat flavor. The salsas had no flavor, only heat. They were JUST spicy. Big disappointment because the street tacos were completely soggy and flavorless and I was hoping the sauce would carry even though allegedly.....the tortillas are made in house. Portion size is not worth the cost of the food. They only serve carne asada and Al pastor tacos - in my opinion those are 2 of the best types anyway. Al Pastor is cooked the traditional way. Tortillas are made from scratch and made to order. The food was flavorful however you get more toppings than the actual meat filling. Had the carne asada tacos and pastor mulita. The carne assada tacos were great, the taste and toppings were good. The tortilla was excellent and complemented it very well. The hot sauce did the job as well. The pastor mulita did the job, the pastor was flavor-full but it had its own style, it wasn't like the pastor in Tijuana and was different than the usual pastor in az. It was different, but cant hold its own without the guac salsa cheese carrying it Would go back for the carne asada tacos, and 4/5 because the price tag. The price to quality is good, but the quantity is a stretch. 2-3 bite max tacos for over 3 dollars is wild work. The quality tho, makes it worth returning for sure read more

I am a little torn about this place, as to whether it deserves three or four stars. I got two Carne Asada tacos with a side of refried beans and a side of grilled peppers. The tacos were very good, the meat was well seasoned, and the toppings were fresh, as well as the corn tortillas. My only regret is that I only ordered two of them and I could've easily eaten three. The refried beans were pretty mid. This may be a personal preference, but I like my beans with some texture and these were very smooth, like they had been put in a blender and processed until they were smooth. They were also a little underseasoned, but maybe that's because they're not necessarily meant to just be eaten alone. Again, that might just be my personal preference. The grilled peppers were Serranos and I knew when I saw them that they would be very spicy. They were, and I could not stop eating them, but that's tomorrow's problem. The salsas were quite good, the red salsa had a really nice chili flavor. The other salsa had a nice tang and was milder in spice level. I would definitely go back here as the service was very fast and friendly and I do feel that the prices are fair. The tacos are just a little over three dollars each and they also have many vegetarian options. The restaurant was clean, although quite small so you may want to order to go. I imagine that the burritos would also be quite good as the Carne Asada was delicious. I just would not order the refried beans again. read more

The flavors were good but the portions were terrible. These are truly the smallest street tacos I've ever had, maybe 1 1/2 tablespoons of meat per taco? I added a picture with a teaspoon to show exactly how small. Also, my interaction with an employee wasn't the best. I didn't realize horchata was an option on this $17 combo, (horchata was priced cheaper than a fountain drink) until after I had put fountain pepsi in my cup. I asked if i could do horchata instead in the same cup. The cashier was persistent in telling me that I was wasting the fountain soda..... the freely accessible fountain with unlimited refills that costs them less than 5 cents per drink. She didn't tell me no, she more so decided to lecture me about wasting the single cup of soda. I would've preferred a firm no over the lecture. It was awkward, she was definitely hoping I'd say never mind. So I stared at her & asked again, 3 more times, can we do that? She finally said fine just this one time. Like girl , come on. My family and I spent well over $50 and I even tipped you for this ridiculously small portion of food. Oh well, we won't be back, there are plenty of other spots with better portions and less lectures. read more

Best Authentic Taco spot in the East Valley! It's quick and the service is always great! They serve juices/jugos and their salsas are super tasty and homemade. Their pastor is my favorite and their carne asada is so fresh and tender. If you want authentic street tacos and sides come here! Their quesadillas are best! I could eat just that and would still give this restaurant a 5 staff rating! Three is plenty of seating even though it's a small place. Not great for groups, 6-8 max guests comfortably. I expected more variety but they only do Carne Asada and Al Pastor....but let's be honest, those are great options so I got 3 of each and I have no complaints! Been here countless times and never fails me. My favorite here is the Al pastor taco with the corn tortillas. Very delicious and worthy of cheat days. I tend to order everything on top which comes with onions, guacamole and you have to order the cheese topping as extra (don't forget!) The corn tortilla is made in house, made with love. Lol. Another good option is the carne asada. The quesadilla is another one I love the service here is fast, friendly. I stumbled upon this place when I was in need of lunch break while running errands. They have a simple menu serving either steak or pork. I ordered their 3 steak taco combo. Which came with rice and beans. The flavor of the meat was amazing and so delicious. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but gives you a local mom and pop vibe. These tacos are the bomb!! My fave tacos in AZ so far. I love me some no frills, basic street tacos. No need for a bunch of fancy toppings. Just a fire hand pressed corn tortilla, flavorful meat, fresh onions, and cilantro. Their avocado salsa on top was really good too. Loved the tortilla, I'll have to try their flour one next. Only sells 2 types of meat - carne asada and al pastor, so if you don't eat red meat this might not be the place for you! I loved the carne asada while my husband preferred al pastor.
