Want to support a woman owned taco joint! Come here! Picked up some dinner for my husband and I. I got the birria tacos which came with delicious grilled onions, sarono pepper, and consume. The tacos were packed with a generous serving of beef. I appreciate that! The flavors were great. My husband got the Burris burrito and his was also generous with ingredients. The drive thru staff were super nice! I'll be back to try some menudo! read more

First off. The restaurant is very clean. The girl behind the counter greeted me in Spanish. But she also spoke good English. She was very nice. I ordered an asada burrito and a large Pina agua fresca. The burrito was HUGE. It must have weighed a pound or more. Carne asada, rice, beans, pico, and guacamole. There was some of everything in every bite. My only complaint is that the tortilla was a little dry and crunchy. It was extremely filling and flavorful. I'm going to come back and try the birria. read more

Authentic casual, no frills Mexican fare in East Mesa. Went there for the Birria tacos and they didn't disappoint. Great lunch! Two Birria tacos and a Mexican Coke for a guaranteed sugar buzz. Wikipedia describes the dish thusly: "Quesabirria is a Tijuana-originating taco that combines cheese with the traditional Mexican beef stew, birria. The dish is similar to a quesadilla or birria taco, and is also known as a quesataco or birria quesadilla. Quesabirria is made by filling tortillas with birria-style beef and cheese, cooking until the cheese melts, and serving with a dipping sauce, often consommé or beef broth." It goes on to say "the tortillas are red-stained and the dish can be messy." CAN CONFIRM!! Grab plenty of napkins before you sit down. There's no charge for extras. Good stuff. Will go back. My pastor and birria taco were eh I like my food salty and I feel like it was lacking a bit, but I will say their salsas were good and added a lot of flavor to the tacos. The spot is in a quiet part of town so the parking lot was empty. Our total came to 42 dollars for two people, a bit pricey but not unheard of. read more

We found this place while waiting for my Dad who was undergoing a procedure at a nearby surgical center. We hoped for the best and were pleasantly surprised with an excellent meal. 1st time customer, ordered the Birrieria Plate. Exceeded my wildest expectation. Food is amazing! 5 different house made sauces, I tried them all and each one in its own right was delicious, my favorite was the creama fuego. We stopped here on one of our excursions. Decided to try the tacos and a Sonoran Hot Dog. The tacos were okay. The hot dog was good and I would say it was above average as far as Sonoran hot dogs go.The staff was super friendly and the restaurant was clean inside. The menu had a ton of options. Well my YELPies, we were on a hunt for some authentic tacos. We found it.. however it left much to be desired. We ordered the #4 Quesabirria. The tacos were soggy before you even used the consome and the beef nor the condone had flavor, or in my world it's called SEASONING . My sweet tooth was TOOTHIN' so of course I had to get my FAV; Strawberry Tres Leche. Uuumm... it left me a bit disappointed as well. It had a chalky taste to it. . What saved this place was the amazing freshly fried Churros! The service was even great for this little spot on Main Street in Mesa. There are ample tables in the dining area but, the condiments area is not the cleanest well supplied area. Normally YELPies... I would say we would try this place again buuuut... not this time. The food was delicious. We have tried many birrieria tacos and these were among the best. We were only in town for a week, and as foodies, don't usually repeat restaurants. This one deserved a second visit. The service was also wonderful. They were exceptionally helpful and nice. They even brought some treats to our dog! Who does that? Should give a 1 star for what I found in my food but I like some of the workers and the food is good, just pricy. The cooks MUST keep an eye on the equipment and what goes in our food. Very upsetting to find a BOLT that size in my food. Could have cracked my tooth or teeth causing thousands of dollars. Worse I could choked on it and even died. NOT COOL ! read more

Although the food was okay. I wasn't happy that I was given the skins of onions in my grilled onions. It's almost like they grabbed the trash of the onions and grilled em. This place at first looks good over all clean ; however after ordering it took 25 minutes for my order to come out . I asked for 2 quesa birrias . My wife order a simple torta , they messed up her order . They took it back and took another 20 minutes for them to bring out the order . Over all slow service , they are bringing out a plate at time , this process make the lunch experience very odd and awkward having to eat by yourself because they can't cook two orders at time . read more

I love quesabirrias, and they don't disappoint here, their birria has rich flavor and the 899 plate is plenty of food, they make great Aguas frescos too, I stop in here regularly when I want flavor! If I had anything negative to say it would be the sides are a little expensive, and the cake was out of stock if you wanted a tres leches. Generally I come for tacos though so it's no big deal. 4.5 only because I'd like there to be cucumbers and radishes in the topping bar. read more

I went yesterday after work and order me a #10 with a drink and rice and beans. Once I got home I opened the container to find just meat and tortilla. When I went to check my receipt I saw that there was no actual order on my receipt just the total. I called the store to tell them that my order was wrong but they tell me that's what I ordered. I insisted that this was another customer's order and not mines. The manager tell me that if I come back to the store they will remake my order. I asked her if I could come back the next day and she says yes; but once I arrive to get my order fixed they're telling me they can o my give me onion and cilantro like what am I gonna do with that? I usually like eating here but after that I'm not coming back here. Maybe it was just an off day but I spent my last on food just for it to be wrong. read more

We heard this place was good, we drove over 25 minutes to try it out. We were not disappointed, the drive thru service was outstanding. We drove all the way back home before enjoying our food and it was still hot and fresh!! I looked at their reviews and it was 4.7 That was a good indication of what to expect. I called in an order for a Menudo and Tripas tacos. Gabriella took my old over the phone and I hade some special request and she hit everything spot on. The place is amazing, the dining area was clean. Carne asada tacos were very good with authentic Mexico flavors. I am looking forward to trying the tripas next. Horchata was excellent too! The hot sauce bar has mild, hot, and very hot, I liked the flavor of the mild green sauce and then added some very hot to the taco. It's really not very hot. Place is very clean, but the ambience has the look of a fast chain restaurant. The staff was friendly and the young lady's smile was priceless.They have a drive thru. My dad had the Rueben and he said it was in his top-three he's ever had! Even during the Saturday brunch rush we were seated promptly, the kitchen was swift and our waitress was kindly attentive to our needs. We finally decided to try the diner, and oh my goodness--this is no substandard food kitchen. This is top-notch food at reasonable prices and for a great cause. You can't go wrong! We arrived on a Sunday at their new location, which is super nice, VW bus and all. :) While relatively small, it is many times larger than their old location around the corner. You can sit inside at a table, at the bar, or at one of the few patio tables on a nice day. We sat inside for this first visit, and a friendly server took our order. We chose to order from the breakfast menu, and I ordered The Camper: Crispy double-dipped fried chicken thigh smothered in savory gravy and topped with cheese, three slices of Nueske's peppered bacon, and an over-easy egg, served on a housemade butter biscuit. My wife ordered the CSA Scramble: Farm-fresh veggies from Crooked Sky Farms CSA basket scrambled with three eggs, served with fruit, sliced tomato, and 9-grain toast. Needless to say, we were both impressed. The Camper was absolutely perfect. I would not change a thing. The gravy was just special, and there was so much food, I took some home. My wife's dish was fresh and perfect for what she was looking for. Do consider donating to this worthy cause. We chose to, and you can even donate right on your bill so that it goes right on your credit card if you so choose. I wondered if she picked up my loose stuffing as it's normally served here in America, or rather the chef did this to all who request it. I told my husband to look for spit in his food. My hubby? Nicest guy ever. But when he knows I didn't want and could not manage fried beef..but I had fasted 21 hours. I needed sliced fresh high protein meat. Wait another 15 min or eat the mess on my plate? I told her I'd eat it. Truly don't like complaining let alone confrontation with a Russian native with a sharp attitude because of a rough life. My nephew is from there so I GET the trauma. and I though I know I can usually switch my palate. But not for this plate of food. I felt sick looking at it. "Just eat the 'steak' I picked the stuffing apart - could not eat more than a thimble. Gummy gluten salty yuck was inedible. The FINGERPRINTS! 2 Fingertips past knuckles imprinted. I left it and hope someone there stopped to think "Why?" Our Waitress tried to make up by suddendly being nice when she walked behind me with a second piece of pie ...to go home. Thanked me for being agreeable or something. I nodded. I remember this saying if you l oh someone's attention the first three seconds and first three steps you'll spend the next 30 min trying to make them believe you're hiring. It's true. I was too tired this week to be extremely understanding but I'm never rude. I told my hubby let's both let this one go. And I said "But we won't return here." He nodded in agreement. Because I see people come in and sit down I see how tired they are and make quick calls to be able to turn their day around if only for a short time before they return home....to being a caregiver or to grieve a loss. Sad dinner and maybe she had a tough week too. But. But times 3 over.
