Stopped in for a breakfast burrito. I ordered an egg potato and cheese burrito. Was around $10. Decent size. I think I would have liked a little more egg but that's a preference. The food is freshly made and hot. The service was friendly and the place was clean and organized. You can watch them making the food behind the counter. All and all a good place to come for fast food Mexican. No drive-thru. read more

Placed an order via phone on my way to the restaurant and was ready when I showed up. Fast service is always a plus! Staff were nice and inviting. I order the chicken and beef tacos with rice/beans. My favorite was the beef taco! Reminded me of a taco shop in Cali that my family and I enjoy. This might be my new favorite place to come for tacos. Beans and rice were also delicious. The woman working the front was extremely rude. My boyfriend and I came in planning to eat and used the restroom first. While I was waiting for him, I noticed she was giving me a very nasty look. When my boyfriend briefly stepped outside to grab his wallet so we could order, she sharply said, "Next time, restrooms are for customers only." The whole restaurant heard it and it was very embarrassing and low class. Because of her attitude, we decided not to stay and instead ate at the restaurant across the street. Her comment was unnecessary and cost the business two customers. A little professionalism would go a long way. read more

Had this place bookmarked & have driven by it many times. Taco Elegante's claims to serve up "the best carne asada tacos in town" so this was the reason we wanted to give it a shot. Came in last night close to 8PM and decided to order "to go". They do have some seating available inside for dine in customers, but unfortunately noticed their salsa bar was empty! Doesn't look to even be in use? This should have been a sign.. Ordered their Carne Asada burrito which my husband specifically asked what came inside the burrito. The woman at the counter said it comes with pico de gallo & guacamole. He was happy to hear that as some places add the additional fillers such as rice /beans etc. I chose the beef enchilada combination plate. The nice thing about that is the choices beef, chicken or cheese are all the same price. We also got a carne asada taco cause "you know"! Wait for our meal wasn't long. There was only a family of four dinning inside. When we got home all was packed & presented nicely. That was the best part. The Carne Asada Burrito was $10.85 and was not the size it should have been; plus it didn't have one dollop of guacamole! The taco was average at $4.95 more fresh pico than actual meat & majorly skimpy on that guacamole. There was zero marinade flare to the meat. The combo plate was the best choice as far as the price, but still $12.50?! The enchilada sauce was bland and lots of shredded lettuce as more of a garnish and not needed. Rice and beans had no affect on the tastebuds. The salsas red/green are really watered down and have not one bit of flavor or heat. Our bill was $29.75 for three items, NO drinks! Super disappointing with the cost, craving completely cancelled and didn't even eat half of my meal 'cause it just missed the mark. I can say that we tried, bookmark removed and not a location we will return. read more

Time for another installment of The Great Taco Journey. I was hungry for a breakfast burrito and decided to give this restaurant a chance. Very clean inside a little on the small side. But I was impressed by how busy it was at 10:00 in the morning on a Sunday. I ordered a sausage and egg burrito made fresh. Came hot off the grill. It was very flavorful and I would definitely recommend it. I know what you're thinking, but Mark why would you order a taco at 10:00 in the morning on a Sunday? Because I always am hungry for a taco lol. I got the adobada soft taco. I was very impressed with the flavor and freshness of the taco. Just the right amount of heat brought by the seasoning on the taco. Plenty of adobada on the taco. I will definitely be back to try some other items on the menu. Definitely worth a visit! read more

They need to update their profiles it's now called Tacos Elegante. And it beats Tosinos by a million stars!!! SOOO good! I ordered the rolled tacos, carne asada quesadilla and bean/cheese burrito. This place is so good!! I have never had anything bad from here! My favorites are the rolled tacos and horchata! The horchata is made fresh daily and it's so creamy! I told the lady specifically what I wanted . Which was shrimp tacos . With pico . I also told her I wanted it spicy . I have no idea what the heck she gane me but it's not even close to what I wanted . So rather then let me reorder without charging me she has the audacity to try and make me pay again when I didn't eat anything! read more

Wanted to check out some new tacos places so based on reviews we decided to go here. We got mini tacos carne asada doe the kids and the regular size tacos for myself and the hubby. First the regular tacos are HUGE!!! I got Al pastor, carne asada, chicken and carnitas. I got it with pico and guacamole. Also got chips and salsa. Chips are hot and fresh. The salsas are so tasty! Not super spicy on the more mild ones. My fav salsa was the ones that came with the chips. My fav taco was the carnitas cause they fry the meat and it's crispy! Carne asada was close second. Wasn't a fan of the other two. I've been here twice now cause it's so good! read more

I used to love going here because when you asked for a carne asada burrito it had the guacamole, pico de gallo, & you could get the pickled carrots & jalapeños on the side. I went today (June 12th. 9-10 am) asked for three carne asada burritos & they fucking came with rice & beans.. My parents & I loved coming here & now we won't put the effort going here. read more

This place is charging a Mesa sales tax of 8.05% to all of their customers when they are clearly in Gilbert. The Gilbert city sales tax is only 7.80%, which lower. If they happen to generate $10,000 worth of sales in a day. 8.05% of $10,000 = $805 vs 7.80% of $10,000 = $780 - $25 customers cash every day So they are pocketing our cash every day. $25 a day X 30 = $750 of unreported income every month. And we are providing it to them. read more

Super impressed! Right next door from my apartment and I've been hesitant to stop by. Finally said wth and decided to try something small... I always ask if the Chile Rellenos are frozen or fresh before ordering, they advised me they were fresh. I can confirm they are by how tasty they were. This place was so disappointing. The food wasn't good. The biggest frustration was my sons food. An egg and cheese burrito was 8.00 and he was still hungry for another and he's only 9 years old if that says anything. It's was meager and it looked like it was very over cooked egg and it was not anything authentic with the tortilla even. I could've gone to the grocery store and got the same tortilla so it's not even something homemade. I wouldn't recommend spending your money going here and unfortunately I wasted mine today. As a result of Covid, this is another place that just takes advantage. Look for a real taco shop with value and freshness. read more

I had the pleasure of visiting this location a few days ago right as the place had opened. This location was a bit of a drive but worth it as I wanted a good burrito for breakfast and Yelp kindly provide me with this place. Pros: my burrito had a nice portion of filling. chips were freshly made. Cons: upon me entering the cook appeared to be cleaning with blue gloves and a scrubbing pad and I did not see him change those same blue gloves while preparing my food. It did not kill me so I guess all is good! The burrito only came with meat, pico and guacamole I was charged .60 cents for each additional item...cheese, rice and beans so it added up fast! Now would I drive across town again, no...unless I have the need for another morning burrito run! If I am on that side of town I will absolutely stop by! read more

Gotta tell ya, I'm pleasantly surprised just how GOOD their food is! It's becoming my go to for burritos, 2-3 times week. Had the carne asada, carnitas and green chili. Carne asada is really good and comparable to Los Favoritos. Carnitas was good but a little dry, used generous portions of their homemade green sauce (very good). But the GREEN CHILI is the BOMB!! Big chunks of pork a very tasty green chili sauce. Very clean and fairly new (couple months) tucked back in a little neighborhood strip mall across parking lot fm Zipps. read more

Quick update - just got home & had their carnitas - it's THE BEST!!! Great location & good food! Dining area is basic but I get my dinner to go. Definitely give em a try. I am pretty sold on the enchiladas. My wife gets 2 if the mini tacos if you like the "street taco" style tacos. No kids sized stuff though. Wanted to get a small quesadilla for the kiddo - only 1 size unfortunately. read more

I've ordered food from Tosino's multiple times and have had good experiences each time. The food is flavorful and made fresh, and the portions are generous. The burritos are delicious; I would highly recommend the adobada burrito with beans and rice added. The chips and salsa are also very flavorful. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the guacamole here. The service is consistently quick and friendly, and the space is clean too. I'll definitely be back. read more

Seated at 6:45pm, we didn't get to order appetizers until nearly 7:30. The whole meal dragged on. Our table was never properly cleared of unused or dirty dishes and glasses. A male manager came by twice and grabbed a few things but otherwise our waitress was having to do it all herself. They also had the temperature incredibly warm there, so warm everyone was sweating and I almost put my hair up in a ponytail. Food was okay but not worth the price b Again, this was a Tuesday night, not a busy weekend. Won't be returning to this place.

Our server was a lady that makes the food. I'm guessing one of the owners. She was not a very good server. She did not check on us much. We waited a long time to get our check. Hubby didn't receive the tamale. When hubby told her about the tamale she said they were out of tamales & she forgot to tell him. That's because she never came back to the table. She said she needed to make more of them. They were much busier than the last time we were here. Hubby loved his food. This is his favorite Mex restaurant. I forgot to take any pictures until we had already eaten half our food. I did get a picture of a robot that goes to tables to deliver food with multiple plates & then goes back to the kitchen.

I noticed that the main menu had a line at the bottom that stated a gluten-free menu would be available upon request. I did ask to see this menu as gluten-free is my dietary preference, not an allergyand I was brought a complementary gluten-free bun instead of the pretzel bread. I thanked our server and told him not to worry that it was just a preference and he told me that he treats all gluten friendly requests as an allergy. I really appreciated the care and concern he had for my health and well-being. This is unprecedented at most restaurants. They had a very extensive gluten-free menu and I can't wait to go back and try so many more items. We did try the Leonard burger and made quite a few modification requests - all of which were 100% accommodated. This burger was so incredibly juicy! They aren't shake off the bone tender but I liked the gentle chew they provide.
