RCB, SIDE BEANS & CHEESE, Sweet corn in a cup
    Melissa L.

Woww this was so good! Was craving some breakfast burritos and decided to stop by. We got the breakfast barbacoa and the RCB. The breakfast barbacoa burrito has shredded beef, scrambled eggs with cilantro onions. The RCB burrito has brisket cooked overnight in New Mexico Red chile. Both were so so good but we liked the RCB more because there was so much meat and the flavor was so good. They make their own tortillas and it is soo fresh and soft. It is also soo cheap and so worth the $6! The sweet corn and beans and cheese also made it taste even better. We were both stuffed and total of the meal for 2 was $19. Service was so quick- we got our burritos within 5 minutes of time of ordering. There are three outdoor tables that customers can sit at to enjoy their burritos. They take card but there is a 4% surcharge. Love love this place and will definitely be coming back.

So I finally got a chance to stop in here. I love the simple basic operation going on here. Straight forward burritos! I tried a few different ones, so here we go. The chile verde was awesome, the RCB was decent, and the carne asada only had meat and nothing else which was a little strange. I guess what the menu says is exactly what you get. I might ask them to add some other items in to that one next time if thats something they do. The only other thing that bothered me is that the prices aren't what was shown on the menu board. This was a few weeks ago so I can't remember exactly, but it was a little above $6. I was fine with the price, but please update your menu.

I added the avocado (avocado not included)

So I was waiting in line and was next when this older, privileged and entitled guy comes past me and cuts in line and the owner pretends he doesn't know who's next and simultaneously the line cutter douche bag says "I'm just here to pick something up ". I'm like wow wait not even an "I'm sorry do you mind? my house is on fire and I need to get back!" That I could understand. No this guy just thought his time matters more than anyone else. I left the business and the owner was oblivious to what happened and murmured guess I got it wrong. I was soo pissed. Sorry Rita's not gonna throw a burrito curse on you but you won't see another order from me. I wouldn't even accept a free chile verde from you. Nope your history. Maybe retiring wouldn't be the worst thing for you.

Barbacoa - White onions. Medium colored meat. A bit dry. The onion and parsley gives a bright fresh flavor. Pretty good! Chile Verde - Light colored meat. A little salty but it gives it more flavor. I like the chile flavor. Some chile flavor I don't like at other places. Pretty good! Chipotle pulled pork - Reddish meat sauce. Sweet. Tastes like bbq sauce. RCB - Red meat sauce. Maybe also a bit sweet. Had some additional flavor. Not sure what flavor that is. Overall I like the tortilla they use that is tender and not dry. I used a lot of the little green sauces. I will need to ask for more next time. The red sauce was too spicy for me.

Fast is right and good to boot

I just had the most incredible meal, and I had to share! For the longest time, I've been utterly hooked on their picadillo burrito. I always ask for green chilies in it, and it never disappoints - it's a flavor explosion with such a perfect little kick. Truly, I adore it! But today, I finally decided to step out of my comfort zone and try something new: the green chili Verde. And wow, another absolute winner! It was so unbelievably delicious. What I really appreciate is that unlike many other places, there's absolutely no greasiness or fat chunks; just wonderful, juicy, pure flavor. It's so good, it honestly doesn't even need any salsa or extra condiments - it stands perfectly on its own. On top of all that, the prices are incredibly reasonable, and the staff? They are just as fantastic as the food they create. Hope you get to experience it too! Also, if you haven't noticed by the other reviews, it's a grab and go place. There's no seating but these burritos travel very well. Sorry I never get pictures of my food. It's too good. I can't wait to take a picture. lol It's fast food that doesn't taste like fast food. They have a number of workers in the back and they get it done super lightning quick

Chile relleno burrito. Should have placed my hand next to it to show the sad size
    Agnes S.

Ok, I'll start with the positives. The tortillas are legit. Fresh homemade flour tortillas are yummy, and the employee that took my order was friendly. The negatives- when the price posted on a big huge board above the register says the burrito is $5.79 you expect to be charged $5.79 plus tax of course. Weirdly they charge $6.08 in stead plus tax. How can you post one price but charge another? I would think this is illegal? I know in Cali it is maybe AZ is different? I REALLY dislike dishonest establishments. Also the size of the burrito is kinda whimpy. It's about the same size as a bean & cheese burrito at Taco Bell yet more expensive. I would venture to say any other burrito at Taco Bell is probably bigger lol. So although the tortillas are fresh and homemade, the false pricing and what you get for the price won't have me coming back.

    Just deliciousness

They are such a giving family restaurant! They have real homemade food! Not processed garbage that ends up making people sick! Thank You for staying open so people in their right mind can eat healthy fast food!

Soooo sad, I really wanted to try the chile relleno.
    Kate M.

Traditional Sonora style burritos (long and skinny) made with fresh tortillas and the prices are excellent. My burrito was super delicious! The line was long and everyone said to try the chorizo, so maybe next time- cause I ordered ahead. I was sad they were out of chile relleno the day I went.

Tiny burrito restaurant tucked into a shopping mall in Chandler. We stopped in on our way to our kiddos baseball game and were immediately impressed. Tiny shop but service is fast, friendly, fresh, and good. Prices are reasonable and there is a huge variety of burritos. We all got the bacon, egg, potato and even though it's simple, everything is perfectly cooked and the homemade tortilla is the star. Everyone was so helpful and friendly I can't wait to go back to try more!

Lots of parking, fast friendly service, good burritos.... There is no seating inside so expect to get your burritos to go. Place is clean and we were greeted when we walked in. The burritos are smaller and a lil cheaper than burritos you get at other fast food burrito places like Filiberto's, Los favoritos burritos, etc. They're not tiny but the perfect size for people like me and my kids who don't have huge appetites. Good variety of tacos as well as some sides of corn, quesadillas and beans n cheese. They also have a couple healthy wrap options (turkey and bacon with egg whites) which not sure why you would get a wrap at a burrito place. But I guess if you have a friend come along and they don't like burritos? Lols I got the mole - shredded chicken cooked in sweet & spicy chocolate adobado sauce. I love mole and this was pretty food. But I realized I prefer eating this with rice and eggs instead of in a tortilla. Flour tortilla was yummy and homemade. My kids had the bacon and hash burrito, ate it all up so they def liked it. I didn't get a bite, selfish kids! Jk

This is where we stopped eating them.

From the moment we walked in, the ambiance, customer service, and drinks were amazing. I'm a HUGE mezcal lover, and they had a great assortment of mezcals and tequilas to choose from. If that's your thing, you will definitely appreciate their drink menu! Since we were heading to a show afterward, we didn't want to get too full, so we decided to share a few appetizers instead of ordering full entrées. The portions were surprisingly generous! We tried the chicharrón with guacamole, ahi tuna tostadas, and the Aguachile ribeye. Everything was delicious, but the ribeye was definitely a favorite. We're already fans of it from their sister restaurant, Blu Seafood, so we knew we had to order it here. Just keep in mind that at Agave it's served as an appetizer, so the portion is smaller so but absolutely worth it! And of course, we couldn't leave without dessert. We finished with their tres leches cake, and OMG... absolutely amazing. The perfect ending to the night! A special shoutout to our waitress, Jazmyn. She gave us incredible service, was so kind, attentive, and really knowledgeable about the menu. She made an already great experience even better. Great atmosphere, amazing drinks, delicious food, and outstanding service. We will DEFINITELY be back!

It fed the both of us just right. For dessert we had the Tres Leches cake and man we loved it too. The cake was moist and sweet but the ice cream was mild so it went perfect with the cake. Ambiance (4.5/5): Trendy-looking Mexican restaurant. And a spacious one at that. Plenty of booth and table seating. We opted to sit at the bar. Pretty much the ideal restaurant experience for me. Nice without being stuffy. Service (4.5/5): Friendly service that was pretty efficient. What was awesome is they let us stay a good amount after close. Since they were cleaning up, they still had stuff to do, which allowed us to enjoy the experience without feeling rushed. Food (N/A): We had dinner prior so we were just there for drinks. They were nice enough to provide us with some free chips and salsa even though we were just having drinks. Two salsas, with one being a little too spicy for my taste. I can only handle a little kick. Good chips. I'll definitely have to come back for their food! Drinks (5/5): I appreciate it when a bar offers quality drinks that are creative. You'll find that at The Mexicano. Naturally, I went with the margarita flight which allows you to try four different frozen margs (prickly pear, lime, peach, and one more that's escaping me). And that's not all. They have a self-serve candy bar where you can add gummy bears, sour worms, and a variety of other candies to your margaritas. How cool! I've never seen anyone do this. If that wasn't enough, they have an all-day happy hour, every day of the week. I also haven't seen anything like that. Chef Joey is a genius! It was clean, the staff responded quickly to me, but I was the only person at lunchtime on the restaurant side, and there were only two people on the bar side. Despite that it was loud. They need sound attenuation, My server was prompt, and freely shared her menu favorites when I asked. Sadly I'm not really a mole fan, her recommendation, but did try the enchiladas divorciadas. First the chips and salsa... the salsa was basically puréed tomatoes. No heat at all. Just some salt. I asked for something spicier and the server found me some habanero salsa. That was tasty, but it probably had very little habanero in it. Again, no better than a low-med heat. I grew up across the southwest so to me that was disappointing. The enchiladas? I really wanted to like this place but honestly? It was unseasoned boiled and shredded chicken, wrapped in a raw / untoasted tortilla. And drowned in some that was not enchilada sauce. The red sauce tasted like tomato sauce. I'm used to red sauce being pepper based. The spicier and more roasted the better. No pepper discernible. The green sauce tasted like it had a hint of green Chiles but mostly tomatillo. Also boring but better than the red. Neither was good. I ate it, I was hungry and it wasn't greasy, but... this was a midwestern spice-hating simulacrum of an enchilada. No bueno, demasiada aburrida. So to sum it up; decent but slightly loud facility, wonderful server, and I would say forgettable food but the reality is it was unforgettably boring.

From researching on Yelp I learned this place specializes in Baja Mexican food, seafood and we were looking for a place that served ceviche. Bingo! We ordered the Torro de Mariscos to share, a seafood tower consisting of shrimp ceviche, cooked shrimp, octopus, squid, aguachile, avocado, cucumber, red onion, topped with a tomato sauce. I had a similar dish last time I was in San Carlos deep sea fishing and this was right there on flavor and freshness! Afterwards I learned that the owner is from San Carlos! Wow! Small world! We will be back! Highly recommended for Baja Mexican food!
