Caitlin was our server. She was fantastic! I called in to make sure the wait wasnt long before coming. Sure enough it was busy but no wait. That was great considering we're a party of four plus a high chair/infant. Hubs got the green chili bacon omelet with hash browns and sourdough. Nothing special or bad, but exactly what he needed for brekkie. Son got the brunch burger - the biggest burger I have ever seen in my life. With fries. The burger is easily a 1/3-1/2 lb burger. Just massive and he was SO happy for the taste. I got the gyro omelet with egg whites, fruit and english muffin. Super yummy. Gyro meat was soft and the feta wasnt overwhelming. Daughter got the california eggs Benedict. She loved it! We also got a short stack with berries and cream for the table... left no crumbs! Lol! After all that our lovely server gave me a coffee for the road (very thoughtful and kind). After searching for 20 mins on yelp for a brunch spot and coming up with crappy options I searched for "omelets" and this spot came up. When we visit family in AZ, we like to go out for breakfast every day. We are amazed at the number of places in the East Valley that serve breakfast. So far, we've been able to try different places during each visit. I came across Wildberries while researching breakfast spots and saw that they had good reviews. We were there on a weekday for a late breakfast. The place is popular. While they were doing a brisk business, I can only imagine what it must be like on the weekends. Upon entering, we were immediately seated and greeted. It's clear from looking at their decor and menu (they also serve lunch) that it is a Greek-owned place. They have daily specials written on a portable sign board, and they take it from table to table so diners can see what's on special that day. Our only complaint was that service was very slow. Our server took our order after we looked at the signboard. I ordered a daily breakfast special that consisted of cinnamon French toast, 2 eggs (I chose over easy), and a choice of meat (I chose bacon). My husband ordered Eggs Benedict off the regular menu. It consisted of two poached eggs with Hollandaise sauce and hash browns. To drink, I had lemonade, and my husband had orange juice and coffee. Like all the other customers, we had a long wait for food. It had us wondering if the back of the house was short-staffed. When the food finally came out, we both enjoyed our meals. The cinnamon French toast was so good on its own that I forgot about the syrup that accompanied it. The eggs were cooked perfectly. My husband enjoyed his Eggs Benedict. Wildberries is in a small strip shopping center, and parking is tight. If you are heading west on Baseline, you have to make a left at the light at S. Ext Street, then a left into the lot. Decided to try this spot based on overall reviews on Yelp. When we got there they were fairly busy and had people waiting to get seated. We were offered to sit at the bar or to wait for a table to open up, we went with the bar option. The restaurant itself is very spacious inside and they also offer patio seating as well. Our server was very friendly and welcoming. She provided the menus and got our drink orders right away. We were in the mood for some omelettes and decided to go with those. We got a Meat Lovers Omelette and Denver with Cheese. We got Ana few different toast and side options as well. When the omelettes were brought out, the only way we could tell them apart because we each got a different side, if it wasn't for that, there's no difference between the two. I'm not sure if they are all like that or just these two. Both omelettes were cooked OK, they needed salt as they were pretty bland. The meat lovers had some chorizo which added a little bit of taste, otherwise they were not that good and tasted identical. A spot I've passed by hundred of times and finally stopped in to try! It was busy on a Saturday morning, but we were able to be seated promptly outside on the patio. The service was exceptional, all the staff we encountered were so friendly and warm. My husband ordered the birria breakfast burrito and the birria was so tender and full of flavor. I opted for the healthy breakfast and subbed scrambled eggs and added a Cajun season chicken breast. Great portion sizes for the price point, and so many menu options that sounded delicious. My family. and I absolutely loved this spot. we came here straight from the Phoenix airport. I'm so glad the hubby had found this spot. There were a ton of people waiting to be seated here but somehow we were lucky enough to have waited maybe a mere 5 minutes for a nice lil shaded table in the outside patio. We were first time visitors here so actually we were in the best possible spot. we saw so many dishes go by us and we were able to admire other regulars as they ordered their meals. it was so much fun. one thing that I have to say is that I love that this is a family run and owned spot. `The food was not only phenomenal but the staff were so sweet and so understanding. we did wait a while for our food but when it arrived we happily gobbled it up in no time. there were a few mistakes made but we weren't upset at all. they were all rectified and without any harm or damage to us. I had their stuffed French toast, the one with the blackberry drizzle. I was in heaven. for whatever reason I was on a French toast kick during this visit to AZ and I can honestly say that this has to be one of my fave's. it was so terribly delicious. I was ad when I took that last amazing melt in your mouth bite that left me wanting for much more than just another nibble. their sausages that are made in house are so amazing. they taste fresh. I don't know how else to explain it but to say that they have a fresh taste, nothing processed and nothing that seems so mundane like any other breakfast sausage. this one was indeed special. you could seriously taste the love and care that they put into making their food. one of the folks in our dining group was having a bit of a low blood sugar issue. our server got on it right away and brought a few things to try and help the situation. it worked, luckily, like a charm and well, of course. our food all came out right after. their prices are more than reasonable. I liked sharing my meal with my lil kiddo because she had some of my French toast and I had some of her eggs and delectable sausage. it was a most wonderful meal to start the day after our 1hr and 20 min flight that was shorter than the voyage to the rental car pick up area. Our first, but not last time here. The server was very friendly and the food was delivered fast. The cinnamon roll was huge. I had the chili burger and couldn't eat it all. The chili had a nice flavor to it. My husband really enjoyed the clam chowder soup of the day along with the Florentine Benedict. He said the eggs were perfectly prepared and the hollandaise sauce was very tasty. The music was just loud enough to hear, but wasn't too loud to prevent us from hearing each other without having to talk too loud. My family and friends made reservations at Wildberries for our post half marathon brunch lunch and we were very happy we did. Wildberries was close to where our hotel was and had a wonderful assortment of dishes to choose from. They did have a lot of wonderful options for my kids as well. I ordered the greek salad with gyro meat, dressing on the side. It came with pita bread and it was pretty large! My husband ordered the strawberry spinach salad which he really enjoyed. First time trying out Wildberries it was a little out of my distance for a breakfast/brunch place but overall the portions and the food were really great. They offer a lot of different selections of breakfast and brunch food. They all sounded really good. I ended up getting their cowboy and bacon meal deal with a side of a waffle. the waffle was cooked to perfection and the eggs and the hash brown just needed a teeny bit of more seasoning but they do offer pepper and salt at the table and hot sauce. The bacon was the star of the show. It was really good. Thick cut bacon 10 out of 10. The service was great. Let's start out with their customer service especially our waitress Kaitlyn, she was friendly attentive, and provided their specials for the weekend as well. Additionally provided us with complimentary vegetable soup. As for the food, I got their western breakfast which comes with 2 large eggs, 2 sausage patties, and biscuits/gravy. I would give this 3.8/5, as the biscuit was dry and could use additional flavor in their batter. Yes, I know it's drenched with gravy... but if it's was so dry, it would've tasted so much better together. For sausage.. this was great, but a little too much fennel seeds in my opinion. ROTTEN BERRIES The wait staff shirts said "Ripe with Attitude" and they weren't kidding. The ATTITUDE was a little too ripe, it was more like ROTTEN. We came in the early morning, mid-week and it was pretty empty inside, and as one would expect, there were only a couple tables occupied. As an avid reviewer, I am usually taking pictures to post and bolster the business if possible. So no different from any other restaurant stop, I started taking pictures from the time I walked into Wildberries. Being that it was not busy, I was seated fairly quickly by our waitress (Lori) and being that there were not many customers inside, I saw an opportunity to get pictures of the interior without patrons photobombing. So I started snapping pics with my phone. Lori must have mentioned something to her colleague in the back, because, moments later, another lady (Jenna) came by and all in one motion, abruptly dropped off water to our table and muttered rudely "You can't take pictures in here", as she trailed off, not even making eye contact, and swiftly scooted away without stopping. I was totally taken aback; left a little reeled and bewildered why she said that, wondering what I did wrong. I glanced at the direction of the kitchen and through the window opening to the kitchen, I see Jenna mean-mugging me with a sour-faced look and having a conversation with Lori. Then at that point I just became put-off and irritated. Then Lori came over to take our order. Reluctantly I put in my order. Disgruntled, I said to Lori, "I don't appreciate the way that other lady was speaking to me" Lori replied, "She thought you were from across the street. From the Restaurant Depot (restaurant supply store in the adjacent building). " I refuted, "Why would she think that?" Lori, " Oh. Because of what you were wearing. We thought you worked there" Mind you, I was just wearing a T-shirt (with another business on it), shorts and a hat. Then I thought to myself, "What does the Restaurant Depot have anything to do with me taking pictures" and I was more even more confused. If they are using mistaken identity for an excuse for why they treated me with such disrespect, that's pathetic. I lost my appetite by that time. I hadn't even eaten by then but this exchange left a bad taste in my mouth. By the way, Jenna never came over to give an apology Turns out, Jenna is the assistant manager, which is more shameful. That being said, they can't control what pictures I now post. *********************************** NOW FOR A WILD, BUT BERRY HONEST REVIEW OF THE FOOD CRUNCHY FRENCH TOAST. First impression: Was it stepped on? It tasted like French Toast from France! (As in, mailed from France in a bubble mailer envelope and took 7 business days to be delivered on a plate. But it in all seriousness, it seriously had no business being on the menu. Underwhelming is an understatement. CHICKEN FRIED STEAK was a Chicken Fried MISTAKE. It tasted like cafeteria food. It must have been a premade patty that was heated up, along with the gravy that tasted like it was from a can. The HASH BROWNS were BURNT. The easiest food to cook and they managed to burn it. Apparently, the only side they served well was SIDE EYE. The food is BERRY AVERAGE. Nothing memorable or worth going back for. If you thought Denny's became notorious for being basic and average, Wildberries said, "Not so fast! There's room for 2 in this town for boring food. Guy Fierri would pass this place on the way to Flavor-Town. The owner was thinking, "I bet we can make a great breakfast spot that will rival IHOPs. Gordon Ramsey would have a field day here, "I see your Tired Food, and raise you, Sour Attitude." I can't believe I paid more than $20 for this food, which is a step up from a microwave frozen dinner. Because all it was, was premade food that was heated / burned. First off reminds me of those really good family restaurants in the Chicago area. Where you can get pretty much anything you want. I think it has a wonderful vibe to it. The staff is a 5 for their friendly and great service. As for the food, I saw the rave reviews for the crab cake Benedict and I left disappointed. A 3 for me in that regard. The crab cakes looked like frozen breaded patties. And when you've had true lump crab cakes Benedict, the only way to go is down. The fruit I had with it was good. My daughter loved the pancakes. So, okay. My partner and I went here for breakfast this morning and it was... Alright. We walked in around 8:45 or so, and although there were patrons inside, we were seated right away. We were instantly provided menus, water, and asked if we wanted anything else to drink (I got a coffee). My partner went with their French toast, eggs, and bacon, while I went with their - you guessed it - biscuits and gravy. My fella *raved* about his breakfast, so I'm assuming their French toast is really good. The biscuits and gravy was just alright. The menu says "sausage gravy" and while it may be *flavored* like sausage, there was no actual sausage in the gravy. The gravy was really thick and somewhat texturally weird, and the biscuit was pretty dry. I could have gotten a side of actual sausage, but it would have been about $6 and since the menu said it was "sausage gravy" I didn't think I needed it - which I totally, in fact, needed. The service was also mediocre. Our server was attentive but not overly so, however I did feel rushed to order and our server wasn't the friendliest or the most patient. They did make sure my coffee was refilled, which I appreciated. All in all, including tip, we spent about $35, which isn't bad considering today's prices. Will I be back? Meh, maybe. Next time, if I do return, I will not be getting their biscuits and gravy. read more

My boyfriend built his own omelet with diced potatoes (his favorite) and I got Uncle (can't remember his name) Western Breakfast - 1 biscuit and gravy, 2 eggs, and, 2 sausage patties. What a delicious lunch!! Breakfast is served all day. We had a party of 13. Our group was extremely satisfied with cleanliness, ease of ordering, service, taste, amount of food and price. Our server was happy we were there! She answered every question without hesitation, served us with a smile, kept our drinks refilled without having to be asked and served all 13 ladies promptly. My son and I visited here based on the Yelp ratings. Overall, we really felt the place was 3 Stars. We initially order the Cinnamon Role French Toast and Eggs Benedict, and planned on sharing the two item. After a couple minutes, the server returned to the table and recommended the Crunchy French Toast. So, that's what we had. The Eggs Benedict were fair, not bad, but nothing amazing. The Crunchy French Toast was definitely not good, in fact it had an odd flavor, I couldn't put my finger in it exactly, but they almost had a hint of soap flavor. That aside, they were barely warm, and reminded me of French Toast dipped in a bowl of corn flakes and topped with thick maple syrup with a hint of soap. As for the Ambiance, what ambiance. The place didn't have any. The booths reminded me of McDonalds and the place had very little atmosphere. All and all, the place is okay. I definitely would not plan to go back, but would suggest trying it for yourself. I was very surprised by the ratings after having eaten here, but maybe I just order the wrong thing. read more
