Let me preface this review by saying we will be back here. The food was insanely good but the service was lacking. It was our first time at a Korean barbecue place. The only prior knowledge I had about KBBQ before coming here was that you cook the meat yourself. We were confused on what was included in our menu option and we did not receive much guidance from our server. We asked how things were served but she said that it was confusing and hard to explain. This was really off putting. The servers were all very kind though. They were quick with our requests throughout the night but seemed to not be well organized. The food was AMAZING once we finally did order. It took a while for us to get started though because we did not understand the process. We finally deduced from our disjointed conversations that meats and certain sides are included in the $32 option. You can order 3 meats at a time and sides for everyone. After the food started coming out we began to enjoy ourselves. We ordered the regular and spicy bugolgi (these were the favorites), spicy octopus, shrimp and cinnamon pineapple. For sides we got fried rice, ramen, kimchi and potstickers. We were rushed into getting a new grill top and didn't understand why, but after the next round it was made extremely clear. The grill top needs to be changed out frequently because if it's not the oil and food remnants will burn. This wasn't much of a problem until we began cooking the spicy meats. The spices permeated the air and started choking us. We were coughing on hot pepper air and had to request a new grill top instead of being asked if we were ready to switch. This is how we realized we were the only seated table without a vent above our grill. Again the food here was great. Aside from the cinnamon pineapple. That was dry and unripe. It needed a glaze of some sort and the fruit itself was too hard. Everything we ordered was brought out quick and was nicely presented. We had tried to order veggie tempura but they were 86ed so they added some veggies on our meat platters which was much appreciated! I know we were a super needy table so thank you to everyone there. They were all very accommodating and helpful whenever we made a request. They seemed to be pretty short staffed so they took care of us well for how busy they were. Solid 4 stars. I live in the San Gabriel area of So Cal, and we have the best Asian food, so I'm coming here a bit snobby. We took my family here and they enjoyed it. The meat quality was pretty good, esp the beef belly. I'm not a fan of the electric grills, as they would overcook the meat pretty fast, but the servers will turn it down if you ask them. We like being in control of the grill, but it's a nit picky thing. :) The only thing that was strange was that they had told us that they were short on veggies and were saving them for their main dishes aka they wouldn't give us an onion. Other than that, the servers were sweet, and we pretty much had the place to ourselves. For Arizona, this was ok. 5 stars for blasting more OG K-pop music ala Big Bang and EXO! :D read more

YUM - this was so good. We rarely go out for KBBQ anymore, but it was Mother's Day and my hubby knew I had been craving it for a while now. We came in around 7:45/8pm. We were greeted and our server was so nice! It seemed like a big group had just left, and there were some other patrons. We were worried it was going to be very busy, but we must have missed the dinner rush. The chairs were interesting - some were basic dining chairs, and others were very fancy looking. We got seated with those, but they are much lower. And for my 34-year-old hip, it was rough getting up (lol - but was that due to all the meat we just ate) This place has the ROBOT server. My son absolutely loved it and waved goodbye whenever it left. Food: We got pork belly, shrimp, brisket, japchae, banchan. We would have ordered more, but I was already getting full and having a toddler with us for this type of dinner was already a handful. 4/13/25 Today we decided to try the all you can eat option to explore other proteins. Ambiance 5/5 This is our second visit and the only Korean restaurant we've been to. It is modern, well maintained, with beautiful Copper table hibachi vents. Service 5/5 Leslie was our Hostess and server again. It's been a minute since our last visit and she remembered us including a recommendation she told me about that wasn't in season yet, impressive memory! Leslie spent a few minutes walking us through the options and left us to decide while getting our drinks ready. Menu 5/5 Lots of choices and my wife settled on the no spice pork belly and I tried the spicy angus brisket. Leslie returned with our Tea's and took our orders. Maybe five minutes or so pass and a robot delivered our proteins to our table then off it went. We both started cooking filling the hibachi and had food ready to start eating in a few minutes. Both were delicious. I also ordered their spicy Romen noodles and loved the broth and noodles. Round two. My wife decided on a half order of Garlic Pork Belly and I ordered the Prime Ribeye Steak which became my favorite of today's order. $84 which included my spicy Romen which was extra. I love Korean food and this place did not disappoint. You can do AYCE here but there's also a la carte which I love. The pork belly was tasty, the tteokbokki wasn't too spicy, and the galbi dolsot bibimbap is delicious especially with the slightly scorched rice. I do wish there were more banchan as it was just kimchi, fish cakes, and potatoes. Service is very friendly and the space is very large. read more

We have been going around town visiting all you can eat Korean BBQ places and we saw this one was very close to our home. So we decided to give it a go with all the raving reviews. When you first walk in you get hit with a hydrogen sulfide odor, which was a bit off-putting but we thought to ourselves once the food starts cooking maybe it will get masked. We ordered our three meats at a time and found most of them to be very underwhelming. I will say though their japchae, bulgogi and short ribs were delicious. But the short ribs are limited to one per person. The little robot that brought everything out I thought was super cute, but then it made me second guess myself as to what I'm tipping our server for. They weren't busy and I did have the flag our server down multiple times. Our server was very nice and friendly when she was around the table though. We both agreed this place was just meh and alot of the meat were gristley and tough. Don't think we will be attending here again unfortunately. read more

I walked in to a completely empty restaurant at 11:30AM this morning. I asked for a table for three and was asked to choose between two of the menus they offer. I chose (reluctantly, I felt very uncomfortable having to make this choice for the entire table, but they had two types of tables for their accompanying menu) and was walked to my table (I chose the kbbq menu at first.) I sat down to wait for my party to arrive. I waited approximately 10 minutes before my friend arrived, and only then was I offered a drink. The third guest wasn't going to be coming, so I let the waitress know it was just the two of us. (The lady that sat me is also serving us at this point, for clarification.) My friend and I changed our minds about which menu to order from since it was a smaller party and we may not eat that much. We requested the à la carte entrée menu. We ordered two waters, an order of yakisoba and order of beef Bulgogi. This would be the only drinks we received, no refills offered throughout. Not even water. We finished our meals and were just talking and discussing as we had planned to do at this lunch date. I've signed the ticket of nearly $50 dollars and tipped, 20% despite the lack of offering a drink in the middle of summer. The ticket is collected. Then, mid-conversation with my friend, after plenty of interruptions, including but not limited to: clearing the plates while sticking her arms in my face and interrupting me mid-sentence, trying to collect my friends plate while she was still eating, she came up and notified us loudly that it was time that we leave because the time limit was up and we were coming up on two hours. Mind you all of the alleged incidents happened WELL before that time limit came near. I will say, I only saw the statement that there was a time limit on the all-you-can-eat menu; I am unsure if it is printed on the a la carte menu. There was one other occupied table in the restaurant, but I have NEVER been treated so nonchalantly. To be asked to leave loudly and rudely after mediocre service was a HUGE slap in the face. I tipped as a former server/restaurant employee myself, but I truly question if that was even warranted after the experience. Genuinely was looking forward to trying the kbbq next time but quite frankly I refuse to pay $60 for bad service and rude employees, regardless of the food. Which in all, wasn't bad at all! Which is very unfortunate. Toilet seat cover dispensers empty in the bathroom, doors are propped open with the trash can because they're poorly ventilated/not cooled. They're about 5-10 degrees hotter than the restaurant. 1 star for the beef bulgogi read more

Was in the area and made it our mission to try a new ayce kbbq spot that was near the market i was working. Came here with my wife and two year old who have plenty of experience at kbbq spots. Service was attentive and friendly Food was mid. The flavors were underwhelming and the quality of the meats felt average. The sides and the fried rice did have an authentic taste. We should have not eaten here... my wife and I wanted to try a new Korean bbq place closer to home. We arrived at 7pm on a Wednesday and the place was dead. Only 1 couple was in there besides us and they didn't seem to be having pleasant time. The tables were dirty with dried kimchi and grease and it seemed like they weren't wiped down in a while. The lady who served us was super nice and accommodating but we couldn't get over how nasty the place was. We ordered several meats and sides that came out quick and were piled high. But once we started cooking and eating it, my wife lost her appetite. One of the meats had an off putting taste that she couldn't get down. We kindly finished what we had, paid and left worried that we're going to get food poisoning. Not a pleasant experience and we will not go back. My favorite KBBQ in the valley. Stone House is a hidden gem. Too quality service, KBBQ and robots! And if that's not enough, there's even a Korean grandma that will come and cut your meet up if she thinks you are leaving it on the grill longer than it should be. I love this place! I will not be going anywhere for KBBQ except here unless I happen to be on the other aide of town. This is my go-to. Ever since I ate at Stonehouse for the first time, I never returned to smoking tiger. The Bonchon is better here. The service is 10 times better here. And the meat quality is good. We ended our meal by grilling the pineapple for a sweet treat. There is only one negative and that is that they do not sell Soju. You should definitely give this place a try. Just moved to East Mesa from LA and was craving some AYCE KBBQ when I happily stumbled upon The Stone House. The owner is super nice and welcoming, and her smiling face was much-needed on this hot day. The AYCE option is $29.99/person and you can order three meats per round + hella side dish options. I haven't had corn cheese in soooo long and I was so excited to see they had it; it really hit the spot! The tteokbokki had a nice level of spice to it and the steamed egg was soft and fluffy. For meats, I ordered the beef belly, brisket, bulgogi, galbi, and pork jowl. The beef belly and pork jowl were my faves, but you can't go wrong with anything you order! Hey I finally did it! I found my new Korean Spot in Mesa! Starting with service, I was a little skeptical because I walked in and I was the only one there! Well, no need to worry. From the moment I walked in, the nice lady working the counter was so friendly and welcoming. The restaurant has plenty of room to seat 1 or seat a dozen in your party! Everything was spotless, service was quick. They have this little robot that brings your drinks and sides to you, all you have to do is take it and start eating. I ordered the Beef Tofu Soup, and hoped for the best. Well, let me tell you it definitely was! My favorite food is Asian and having lived near the San Gabriel Valley In LA I'm used to great Asian food... loved it and I can honestly say it's comparable to What Ktown or LA offers. I would agree with another reviewer here that tables are super uncomfortable but the soondubu soups are very solid. I will be back. After hiking with my group, I was pretty hungry and parched so I fired up my trusty Yelp app and this came up immediately for tofu soups. I really wanted a savory soup and this hit the spot perfectly. Was cool to have a robot serve me except for when my seafood soondubu came out, it was served by a human probably to avoid customers from getting burned. Banchan was good and service was impeccable. My husband and I were out with two friends and we decided to try Korean BBQ. A former co-worker raved about how great this place was, so we decided to check it out. It was the worst dining experience that I have had in quite some time. When we arrived, the place was dead at 8:10 on a Saturday night. Although they closed at 10 pm, we were told we couldn't put an order in past 9:10. That meant instead of two hours for the all you can eat, we had an hour. Service was underwhelming and the robot server was weird. It took our food to the wrong table. The human person who you interacted with less frequently forgot three things that we ordered. Although there was a vent above the grill, it didn't seem to be working. It was very smoky inside. Despite the oil put on the grill, our meat stuck to it. As far as the food goes, the bulgogi, the pot stickers, and the rice were good. The garlic pork belly was flavorless. The shrimp served with heads on to cook was just weird. The brisket was tough. I wish I could speak to the chicken with pineapple, but we thought they forgot it since we waited for 15 minutes after we ordered it but it didn't show up. When we were trying to pay, it finally arrived. They had forgotten other things that we ordered, so we naturally thought they just forgot about it. The bathrooms were also disgusting with a very harsh, gross smell throughout. All in all, it wasn't worth anywhere near the money that we paid. Fun place to dine with kids. We did the AYCE but it did cost us $100 for 4 plus tip. Our server was great! It was just him and one other lady and robot that delivered most of our food. We ordered everything from mundoo, spicy ramen to spicy chicken and kalbi. We enjoyed sides (banchan) and rice to accompany our dishes. We did order the soondubu but got the wrong order of one that had seafood in it. The also forgot to bring the brisket we ordered to go with but my guess is that it went to the wrong table with our soondubu. Either way, the food was flavorful and we were stuffed when we left. Great experience but if you don't want to cook your own food, maybe order from the ala carte menu. Also, I should add, everyone on the table must select the same type of dining. One of my go to places when I'm craving Korean food. I love getting their cold noodles during the hot summer days! But I won't leave without getting some of their BBQ items. Their Kalbi is to die for and not to mention their Spicy Pork Bulgogi is my favorite!! I've been here several times and I have noticed that their ban chan (side dishes) have gotten a lot better! There is a robot server that brings you drinks and food. We ordered several dishes to share. Everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned. We asked for less spicy on the soon tofu and stir fried squid and it was just perfect. Our favorite was the soon tofu. It had ton of flavor without being salty or too spicy. The nangmyeun was slightly too sweet for us but I'm sure some people prefer it. The kimchi pancake was yummy, crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. Will return when we're in the area again. We took our grandsons tonight for a special treat with the experiencing of cooking over a hibachi. But none of the the overhead vents are working and it was a coughing and choking experience. I went here for our first experience with Korean q because of the photos of lovely white cushioned chairs but those tables remained empty for some reason and we sat in uncomfortable hard chairs squished at an uncomfortable table . The young man who served us was extremely polite but was up against a lot of kitchen issues. The Korean beer was literally room temperature and and I had to ask for a plastic glass of ice to use to try to cool the bottle like you would champagne. Because of the lack of vents he changed out our grill several times which was nice. But the smoke was just ridiculous. The meat was okay but much of it chewy and gristly. It wasn't the fun relaxed evening I had anticipated - so please do call ahead to ask if the vents are working - if they aren't, it is truly one of the most uncomfortable situations you'll ever have when eating out - especially if the meat is spicy. Our eyes were watering and we were all coughing - instead of being able to enjoy our meal - we really did try to make the best of it for our grandkids but what a major major disappointment. read more

Very tender meat, not overly sauced with perfect texture and taste. $26 Seafood pancake- great fresh taste to it, crispy outside, and overall just so good $23 Seafood tofu soup- great flavor profile and egg that they put inside and overall tasty $16 Galbi tang- best galbi tang I've ever had. Was searching on Yelp for places for dinner and this place popped up first on our list. We arrived as a party of 2 and were seated immediately. We ask for waters and the robot on wheels (?) arrived with our waters and place settings. The menu is pretty expansive with lots of options. We ordered the seafood pancake, jap chae, and this dumpling soup. Everything was delicious! Service was excellent. Waters were kept filled and the food was quite good. I often find it difficult to find good Asian food in Arizona (I was visiting from California) but this place was definitely a gem. I will say that prices were pretty high. After tax and tip our meal came out to about $70 for the two of us. But it was a nice treat! We didn't order any Korean bbq but they had the setup available!
