Food was good service, not so much. Seems disorganized. I didn't get a drink for 10 minutes. My first ticket I only got 2 of the 6 items I ordered. My next ticket got lost. I didn't pay any attention to the all-you-can eat part and gleefully drove there with partner for date night. We decided to give it a go anyway and made our outing a culinary adventure, neither of us having supped at an all-you-can eat sushi restaurant. The staff were nice and spared little time in serving up our order. We started with Miso soup that was watery. The gyozo was dry and presented poorly. We ordered a variety of nigiri sushi and, whilst it filled the hole, it wasn't anything to write home about. The green tea ice cream was tasty. Before closing this review allow me to share that I'm a quarter Japanese, speak Japanese and lived in that beautiful country for 6 lovely years. For an AYCE sushi place, it's an excellent value, the food is good and the service is good. The only reason I give them 4 stars instead of 5 is because of how they prepare their spicy tuna rolls. I've never seen a spicy tuna roll prepared the way they make it, even at AYCE sushi places, and it's not good. Stumbles onto this place after a long day of travel! The building can be deceiving but when you walk into Sakura, what a beautiful sight. First, the people were delightful. We have become regulars here, dining in every 3 weeks or so. Today, Sunday afternoon, the place was quite busy. Not a problem, immediately seated at spacious booth. I'm pleased to see them busy, meaning quick turnover of fish, especially in the deadly summer! Food arrived quickly, exactly what was ordered, tasting fresh. I have never had an "off" tasting piece of sushi here. After a few 2nd round items , we were satisfied, a cup of green tea ice cream to finish. The sushi this time, I felt in some of the rolls the portions were slightly lesser or thinner cuts. But however considering the value , it's definitely worth the price. A new family favorite. I have come across Sakura sushi many times while looking for places to dine at in our area but I never knew they had AYCE! The reviews were promising so we tried it, multiple times now. The restaurant is big so it can accommodate a good number of diners at the same time. Service is attentive and food does come out pretty quickly, even when they are busy. We've been there only on weekends so far and only had to wait a bit for our sushi rolls once. We also got seated immediately in all 4 times that we have been there. I do not eat raw sushi (my husband does) so anywhere we go, we order mostly cooked and maybe 1-2 raw rolls. They had multiple great tasting cooked rolls and my husband enjoyed a couple of nigiris and raw fish rolls. They have a lot of appetizers, salads, noodle dishes, rice and soups to choose from. Ambience is average with tvs and it's not too loud even when the restaurant is busy. It's about $30 per person which is a great deal with all the good food you can get. One of the few AYCE with sashimi on the menu without it being at an extra cost or a Premium option. Most of the apps are deep fried. Usually something you'd want after a few drinks in. So take that into account when ordering. The sashimi cuts are a good enough selection. My favorites were the mackerel, white tuna, and salmon from first to third. Not much of a sake drinker but they seem to have about 6-10 options for both dry and fruity types. I tend to just stick to a beer. Restrooms are clean but there's no toilet seat hygiene covers nor paper towels to dry your hands off with. And it's a pull to exit. For the price of lunch ayce, it's worth coming to get your sushi fix. They don't mess around with adding extra rice so your sushi is mostly rice and a tiny bit of everything else. I'd say the best thing was their yakitori, great flavor and texture (I ordered 2 more after I tried the first one). TEMPURA UDON (MY FAVORITE) ---------------- The tempura shrimp's flavor was seriously addictive. Such a soft batter and soft shrimp texture that melts in your mouth. Not overpoweringly salty udon broth with squishy udon noodles. Would recommend this dish as it doesn't make you too heavy and leaves your belly to taste more food! TAMAGO AND TOBIKO NIGIRI ---------------------------- The Tamago and Tobiko nigiri were nice palate cleansers. The egg in the Tamago nigiri tasted slightly sweet along with the fluffy rice. The Tobiko nigiri's fish eggs provided a great crunch with the seaweed and had a nice Umami flavor. GYOZA AND SEAWEED SALAD ---------------------------- Gyoza was mighty fine .
