I came here for a quick lunch with my mom. I love that this sushi spot offers a variety of sushi and other menu options there's def something for everyone. Prices are reasonable making it an easy place to enjoy without breaking the bank. The sashimi platter was by far the best thing I've tried from here so fresh, flavorful, and beautifully plated. (The chef even took a picture of it hehe he was very proud) For under $20 it felt like a great deal for the quality and portion size. The ramen on the other hand was eh. It reminded me more of instant ramen with some cool toppings. Not terrible but definitely not the highlight. Overall, this is one of my families go to spots if we want something quick and we're in the mood for sushi!!!

Sometimes you just want two pieces of a sushi but not the whole roll. The best things about Teharu is that you can choose just what you want in the amount you want. It's also a good way to try things without committing to a whole roll. The sushi is delicious! If you've never been to revolving sushi, it's a very simple system. You just grab the plate you want of the conveyor belt. As you finish, b stack your empty plates. Each color of plate is a different price, (i.e red plates are each $2, blue plates are each $4, etc.). At the end, the server just totals your plates. Easy peasy lemon squeezy!

Well....that was interesting! Love the concept....its like standing around the luggage carousel at the airport. You see other peoples luggage and think "hmmm, that looks nice, I wonder what's in there?" But you can't take it, you know because it's against the law or something. So you just wait until your luggage arrives and you take it. Well, in this scenario you can take what ever you want! The sushi was ok? Not horrible..... Also, I'm more of a nigiri guy, I love it!! Most of the options that conveyed by me were various sushi rolls. Place was clean, our waitress was nice, and I did leave full and satisfied. If you want good sushi, there are much better options. If you NEED sushi, and on a budget, this is a great place. Each plate on the belt is between $3 and $4.

Fraud Alert! Let's see how Teharu Sushi Management responds to this fraud or honest mistake. My wife and kids like the conveyor of Sushi at Teharu Sushi. We get a variety of plates and of all colors (Prices) This was our typical evening dinning experience and our 4yo and 7 yo didn't eat that much. (I don't have a count of the plates but it was a typical event for us) Food was reasonable good and the bill was $51.44 and we left a $7.00 tip. Then a couple days later we seen our bank app Chase statement for the event! $102.88 Seems like fraud to me as I can't easily see how a math error with the tip could get that high. I am giving them a three because the flavor of the sushi was not the greatest. I would say the salmon sushi was my least favorite. The flavor felt like it had been out- rotating for a while. Service was good- the staff members were really nice and attentive.

This is a nice place. From when we first walked in until we left the staff was very nice. There was only one other table when we sat down so there was many different items going around at that time. As people started coming in, WOW the different items that I saw. I'll just show a few pictures and leave everything else up to you when you visit. Give them a try and I just want to say Thank You for sticking it out during this time.

Enjoy

One of the coolest things about this place is that when you grab your plate off of the revolving conveyor belt, you can feed your empty plate into a slot in the table. It keeps count of how many plates you've put in, and when you've reached five plates a cartoon comes on the screen. When You reach 15, a prize in the ball falls out for you! We got a second prize after we hit 25 plates. Aside from the conveyor belt that revolves around, there's a little robot that comes to bring you your drinks, which you can order on the screen. There are tables and booths around the conveyor belt, as well as some chairs that simply face it. The sushi is pretty good here - - my favorite is the seared eel. It is so delicious! This place is not fancy but it is set up for fun and is a great place to bring kids who like sushi.

Each plate is clearly labeled and covered, which maintains freshness and adds a layer of reassurance regarding food safety. The sushi itself is consistently well-prepared. The fish is fresh, the rice is properly seasoned, and portion sizes are balanced. In addition to classic nigiri and rolls, there's an impressive selection of specialty items, small plates, and desserts. The touch-screen ordering system is intuitive and efficient, and special orders arrive promptly via the upper conveyor--an added detail that enhances the overall experience. Service is streamlined and attentive without being intrusive. Staff members are available when needed, and table turnover is handled smoothly even during peak hours. Kura successfully combines quality, affordability, and a unique dining format, making it a reliable option for casual outings, group dinners, or introducing someone to sushi in an approachable setting. A well-executed concept that consistently delivers.

What started as a simple visit has turned into a true appreciation for the craft happening behind the bar. This is not just a place to grab sushi--it's a place where you can slow down, pay attention, and really experience it. I've now been in a couple of times and had the chance to sit at the bar and get to know Misu and Han, along with my server Rose. The hospitality here is genuine and warm without ever feeling forced. By my second visit, they remembered me, asked about what I'd tried before, and guided me through the meal in a way that felt personal and thoughtful. The food speaks for itself. Standouts for me: * The halibut -- incredibly silky, clean, and delicately balanced (one of the best bites I've had in a long time) * The otoro -- beautifully marbled and absolutely melted in the mouth * The king scallop -- lightly kissed with heat, layered with subtle citrus, a luxurious texture and flavour to match... easily one of the most memorable bites I've had anywhere * The saba (mackerel) -- bright, clean, and beautifully presented with that signature shimmering skin; not something everyone appreciates, but done exceptionally well here What really impressed me is the balance. Nothing felt heavy-handed. Sauces, citrus, and wasabi were used with intention--not to cover the fish, but to elevate it. I also appreciated the pacing. Sitting at the bar, taking things a few pieces at a time, and pairing it with a simple bottle of sake turned the entire meal into an experience rather than just dinner. If you're willing to sit at the bar, trust the chefs, and let the meal unfold, Yanagi will absolutely reward you. This has quickly become my neighborhood spot, and I'm looking forward to many more visits. Highly recommended.

As someone who's a bit picky, that meant I had to sit and wait quite a while for the specific items I wanted to come around on the belt which was kind of frustrating. That said, I've figured out the hack: come right when they open for lunch after 11am. It's a completely different experience. You can order exactly what you want, and it comes out almost immediately. Way more enjoyable and efficient. Even during my first visit, I still had fun. The little robot that delivers drinks and wasabi is a cute touch and definitely adds to the experience. The concept itself is great, it just depends on timing. Food-wise, it's a bit hit or miss. I do NOT recommend the spicy tuna or regular tuna. The quality hasn't been great in my experience it tends to have stringy fat and sometimes tastes fishy. On the other hand, the spicy yellowtail hand roll is consistently my favorite. It always looks fresh with a nice color and texture. The app is also a little confusing. When you try to pay, it still redirects you to a QR code and opens a webpage instead of using the app directly, which makes you wonder why you even need the app in the first place. One more tip: double-check your to-go orders. They've forgotten utensils, soy sauce, and wasabi for me before. Overall, the staff are really nice, even though interaction is pretty minimal. If you go at the right time and know what to order, it can be a really fun and satisfying experience.

For what it is, it was a pretty good visit. We really were pleasantly surprised by the quality. The variety was great. Rice was prepared right -- not mushy or stale. The fish was great which was the biggest surprise of the whole meal. The salmon was fresh and buttery. The scallops were plump. Tuna did not taste cheap or old like previous visits. I did try some of their limited time menu items -- their fish taco and the crispy rice hot dog. The cod in the fish taco was way too soft and disintegrated in my mouth, I would like a firmer fish.. the tartar sauce was great though. The crispy rice hot dog was interesting... the sausage was nice a plump -- juicy but the rice did not make sense. The rice was also a little sweet and did not taste right.. ** please bring back the crispy rice salmon and spicy tuna instead of this. We did not enjoy our last 2-3 visits to Kura. Service was always bad, food did not taste good and it was becoming overpriced for what it is. We would happily come back now and spend what we did again if the quality stays the way it is. Service this time around was still not great, even worse than usual actually, but we still enjoyed otherwise. Kura used to allow you to win prizes at 5-7 plates but now it's every 15, 25+ plates which sucks but I get it..

"How's everything so far? Good? Ok."…read more After completing my workout I was wondering on what I should eat afterwards and I just so happened to be craving sushi. However, the usual spot I recently ate at for all you can eat sushi had shut down...I did remember watching a video about the sushi challenge for Crazy Tuna on TikTok awhile ago and I was amazed...But I didn't want to attempt and be pictured in the hall of shame. So I came here. "How are we doing so far?" I showed up during the evening and was greeted by the hostess and they kindly showed me how to order. It was pretty similar to other all you can eat sushi spots but this location does not use a tablet to order which I liked. The ambiance was dark but well lit. It was quite cozy while I ate alone. "How are we doing so far here?" I glanced over the menu and saw a plentiful amount of sushi rolls and nigiris...but I lately I've been enjoying handrolls...On their menu there was not an option for handrolls so I asked a kind, attentive server about it and they said "just mark HR next to the one you'd like". So I ordered 3 spicy tuna handrolls and miso soup for the first round. I did not wait too long for my food to arrive. The quality of the food was delightful and fresh. I really enjoyed the "How are we here?" sushi rice; it had a nice vinegary taste to it. Besides the sushi hand rolls I also ordered some specialty rolls which I unfortunately do not remember the name of...but it was delicious. The miso soup was pretty standard for its taste, nothing too special. While eating I did notice that the service was odd...but I was not annoyed by it...Some servers would stop by my table to check up on me frequently and ask "How are we doing so far?" Maybe they had a complaint about their service l? Who knows? This kind of service was quite funny to me but I still enjoyed my food. Overall, Crazy Tuna will be my go to spot for all you can eat sushi in Chandler. The price is reasonable, the service is top notch and very attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy. Since this is Korean owned I thought I would also try the Korean bulgogi, which was fairly priced and plated aesthetically. The taste was authentic without having to cook it yourself. There was plenty of wait staff waiting to take our order and many of the items arrived quickly. Since we were ordering à la carte, they would check in on us periodically. There were quite a few people in the restaurant too showing it's a good sign. Sushi quality wasn't most high-grade though. Although they had dishes of watermelon and various cakes floating around the conveyor belt too =p. And fries on the other menu you could order stuff from (along with ramen and hand rolls), so yeah it was like an American fast food meets sushi place a bit. Also they had a robot that helped deliver the sake!! That was really cool aha. Definitely an experience.

First, I think the nigiri style sushi they offer was good and as fresh as I've had anywhere. I was impressed by the sea urchin in particular. It's the rest of the operation that I found frustrating. There were hardly any "roll" options on the conveyor belt and there very few fried items like gyoza or tempura available for picked on the conveyor. After sitting there 10min, there was nothing I hadn't already seen. They get a "D" for variety. Also, the interface to order anything "non-nigiri" was not easy to deal with; placed above me seated at the bar... the extra step necessary to order items like tempura, every other kind of roll and noodles was to me overly complicated. I came into the restaurant around 445 or 5pm, so perhaps that's why the variety was so uncreative. I like conveyor sushi but I've been to other restaurants that execute it better; that offer more variety in terms of nigiri, rolls and fried items like gyoza on the conveyor belt. The food is good but if you're like me you'll find the entire process here at Kura more tedious than fun.
