Came here for dinner. Wanted some Chinese food and wasn't about to go to Panda Express. Ordered orange chicken and combo roll which came with California roll, tuna roll, and spicy tuna roll. Got served with miso soup prior to ordering which was nice. Miso soup was yummy, same ole same ole but it was nice and hot. Orange chicken was alright, could have used little more flavoring but had nice crunch battering on the chicken. Rolls were pretty good, nothing special. Over all not bad but not good enough to come back. Over all main dishes price were bit hight.

This is the sushi hidden gem in the city of Mesa. We came in on a wet and cold Saturday night while we were charging our car and I was blown away by how cozy it was on the inside to begin with it was super clean and the server was really nice. We ordered a rainbow roll that had some of the yummiest fresh fish wrapped up in some great sticky rice it was really good. We had also ordered some Chinese chicken fried rice that had nice size pieces of chicken in it. The portion was really big that it was enough for leftovers the next day for lunch. Both entrees came with a bowl of soup. I highly recommend this restaurant for everyone's sushi needs here in Phoenix I'll definitely be coming back.

Just popped in for a quick lunch! Great lunch deals and pricing, very diverse menu, generous and tasty portions. I got the lunch orange confirm bento box and it was all outstanding and under $15! Initial greeting wasn't as warm but service was professional throughout so I'll still give this one five stars!

This place has went downhill! Ordering a $90 meal for my wife and I and it's mostly cucumber and rice! They are extremely stingy on the meat. I go to the sushi place across the street now and get much better sushi for less. Trust me.

Really, really nice place! I sat at the bar. I love that the chairs are regular height, and not raised. The chairs were nice and cushioned. Very cozy, cute, and darker inside. I liked the vibe. Servers were attentive. I loved the food. It is on my way home from work, so I will be back for sure! Excellent salmon nigiri. It just melted in my mouth. They give you an orange half all peeled at the end, but I forgot to take a picture.

So we went tonight to celebrate my mom's birthday. The first vibe I got when entering the restaurant is a cheap casino in Vegas. I ordered the shrimp and scallops. The soup was mediocre, the salad dressing tasted like French dressing not a Japanese dressing. While we were eating the soup the chef came to start cooking, he sprayed the cooktop and the flames that ensued made me and my mom jump back, I felt like my face was on fire. He had raw seafood, steak and chicken all on the same platter. He didn't season any of it, just kept slathering it with some thick teriyaki type sauce. The shrimp was chewy and overcooked. I ate one scallop and the second one made me gag so bad I had to spit it back out into my hand. I have never eaten something that made me feel like I was going to vomit right there on my plate. I feel like I need to also mention the creepy big plastic doll heads. I thought they were for decoration but I noticed people were actually wearing them sitting at their tables. The other thing that totally turned me off was the bottle that the chef used to squirt oil or water or whatever on the grill had a lid on it that depicts a baby at a toilet urinating. So it looks like it is doing that on the food. That to me was so classless and just gross. I will never ever go back there. I'm so sorry we cheated on Benihana's. I feel tonight's dinner was a waste of $107!!

The restaurant is fairly large, and seems like a lot of people like coming here for family/friend dinners. Like the name insists, the teppanyaki is the way to go. Their menu isn't that large, so it was pretty easy to make a decision. I opted for the filet mignon (rare) along with shrimp. Teppanyaki is really more of a show/experience, so the food comes out to you in sections (versus all at once like at a traditional restaurant). The filet was so soft, and was perfectly rare, and the shrimp was so good. I think in the future I'd eat a whole plate of shrimp. I also got to try the yakiniku, and that was also pretty good but very sweet. Their Boo Yah Ka roll was also pretty yummy. It's essentially a spring roll, but with some spice and citrus to it. I felt that the portion was good for a large meal, but my friend who got the chef's combo definitely had enough for leftovers.

We came in for a birthday party & got one of the Teppanyaki tables. Our waiter was awesome & the Chef for the table was well suited for the job! He made everyone at the table catch rice in their mouths- even if it took 5-6 tries per person The food was delicious - the portions were on point. The prices were fair. It's on expensive side, but part of the cost is definitely for the experience, which is well worth it. All in all, everyone had an amazing time. This is the perfect place to come with a group to share some laughs and create a memory that nobody will forget. It is so fun to see your meal cooked right before your eyes & interact with the chef throughout. I've been to similar places in the past & none of them compare to Kasai! We will definitely be back!

The price was confusing. $30 service charge?? And that's not inclusive of tip? Our total bill was $178 so that would be a 16% service charge which is insane. Usually service charges are a few percent to help cover small costs like cc processing, to-go packaging, things like that. So then on top of that I had to tip of course as I don't want to not give the chef nothing. Just seems a bit extreme. Everything is already on the expensive side which is fine as it's a nice restaurant but the additional service charge was too much. Also the percentage options were incorrect. The amount it told me to tip to make it 18% was actually 26%. Probably an issue with their POS and not them but seems like a money grab and something they should prioritize fixing.

The beef soup was very good - tofu was ultra soft and silky. I loved the spice level and they bonchon was also definitely worth trying. I would recommend getting extra salad dressing on the side and getting the lettuce plate (which is an extra $3.5) for the meat unless you want to eat it with the pre-tossed salad.
