Went with neighbors, they have been many times and thought we would enjoy it. I am not a huge sushi fan nor is my other half but they have a great 'I hate sushi' menu to choose from. 1/2 (3.5/5) This was our second visit to Sushi Creek. When we first arrived, it was pretty busy and a little loud with the game playing on the TV. I don't remember hearing any music, but the overall atmosphere was more of a modern Asian vibe. The restaurant is on the smaller side, with high-top tables, a bar area, sushi counter seating, booths, and regular tables. When it's crowded, the seating can feel a little tight. The biggest downside was the service. It took quite a while to get our drinks and our food, even after the restaurant started clearing out and there were only a few tables left. They seemed to have several servers working, so the wait was a little surprising. That being said, once we got our food, our refills came when needed, which was appreciated because I like to have plenty of drinks with sushi. The food was decent, but I've definitely had better sushi for a better price. I'd give the food around 3.5/5. For what we paid, I expected a little more, especially considering there are places with better quality at a lower cost. Sushi prices in general seem to be getting pretty high. Sushi is usually our go-to after a long day of wrestling, and I do appreciate that Sushi Creek was one of the later places still open when we were looking for somewhere to eat. Overall, it was an okay experience, but it's not a place I'd rush back to. If you're looking for sushi and this fits what you're wanting, it's an option, but I wouldn't say it's a must-visit. read more

Their prices are so high for what you're getting. $20 for a roll of sushi, it better be amazing, and I would not say that. It was fine, the fish tasted fresh, but should've been about 20% cheaper. Why are we charging almost $7 for miso soup? The service was not great. I think they need to hire more servers, the two that were there were overworked, making service super slow. I know that's not their fault, we still tipped our server despite the negative experience. Took 45 mins to get our food, and they forgot the ginger & wasabi when we specifically asked for extra upon ordering. Then when we finally tracked down the server to get us the ginger/wasabi, it took them over 10 mins to bring it to us. Then one of our rolls was so salty it was inedible. (Don't get the garlic albacore roll). They took that roll off our bill and knocked a little off the total, but it was still $60 for a bad experience and to leave hungry. We went to in n out after. Found this restaurant a couple of days ago and thought I'd go back today, Saturday for happy hour. Well come to find out that you can't buy any happy hours items and get them to go. What does it matter whether I eat there or not? They just turned happy hour into a sh*t hour. I will never eat there again unless they change their policy around happy hour. We are from the southwest side of PHX, Ahwatukee/Tempe/Downtown. We went on Mother's Day & I expected it to be busy. The blonde host was very accommodating & friendly. She was even helping out tables. Once we were seated, I noticed the tables were very dirty & sticky, after I seen them getting wiped down. I had to bring it to the staffs attention. He used the same rag to wipe down everything else to wipe my table down again. (Ew) The menus that were given to us were sticky and look like they need to be replaced. We ordered some pop corn shrimp and edamame. They were okay. We had some sushi rolls, they were okay. I did not eat much due to the ambiance but my daughter did not care and ate it up! Hands down, one of my favorite spots to go to in Queen creek, I love the "I hate sushi" menu! Everyone can find something to enjoy here. My favorites are the crab puffs, tempura shrimp & veggies as well as the California rolls. I have enjoyed all of the sushi rolls at one point or another and their happy hour prices can't be beat! The lighting is a bit darker so be prepared for that, but the vibe and the service is always great! read more

But they need an upgrade-those booth seats are terrible-you go to sit thinking it's going to be cushioned and it isn't it's a hard uncushioned dip in all the booth seats. The bento boxes look dingy. My husband and I came to Sushi Creek tonight for a date night. We've visited a few times before, and unfortunately, customer service has never really stood out as a strong point. Tonight we were hoping to sit at the bar, but there weren't any open seats, which is completely understandable on a Friday night. What surprised us was that the bar was filled with children, making it unavailable for adults looking for the typical bar experience. We checked in for a table and were told the wait would be about 20 minutes. After waiting 25 minutes, I went back to ask if our table would be ready soon. That's when I was told I had never given my name, so if I wanted to be added to the waitlist, it would be another 25 minutes. I understand mistakes happen, but the hostess had walked by us several times while we were waiting and clearly knew we were there. It was frustrating that there wasn't any effort to verify whether we had actually been checked in before asking us to start the wait all over again. We enjoy the food at Sushi Creek, Experiences like this make it difficult to want to return. Better communication and more attentive customer service would make a big difference. read more

I feel bad even leaving this review and I don't normally but sadly I do feel the need. I paid almost $20 for one roll and quite honestly it wasn't great. I really want to see this establishment do well but I think something needs to improve. Service was kind and professional but the food quality is lacking. My son ordered dinner for pick up on Monday June 29 at 1730. This is the worst sushi we have ever had. The so called Shrimp Tempura roll which fell apart because it wasn't rolled tightly. Had a shrimp tail but didn't see or taste any shrimp. The crab roll and the California rolls were bland, actually no flavor. The crab roll had an old fishy taste. The spicy tuna rolls were fair. Edamame tasted good. Fortunately there isn't much you can do to ruin edamame. My son called to inform the manager of the terrible, overpriced food. They seem to have more non Japanese food. They have TV's all along one wall behind the bar area like a sports bar and then to top it off they play country music. So this place is pretty small and was packed only a half hour after opening. Would have loved to sit outside, but the front looked like it hasn't been swept in years. We decided to sit at the bar and wait for a bit before approached by bartender. Bartender was very nice but was too soft spoken and I had a hard time hearing her. The sushi was average, nothing blew my hair back and nothing was horrible. We had the crab Rangoon eggrolls which were great and we had the Boston roll that was ok and I think the dragon roll which was decent. Will I go back... probably not. read more

Overall wasn't to impress. The Vegas roll was on the cold side, the seaweed around the rolls was a bit chewy then what I am use to. Took about 45 minutes to get 5 rolls totally understand 5 rolls takes time but when others came in after us and received there rolls...services was good cup never empty. read more

We have been regularly coming to Sushi Creek for a couple of years. The Philadelphia rolls are by far our favorite. Everything is fresh and reasonably priced. Came here for our first time for happy hour and we had the bartender with red hair. All I have to say is that she has a horrible attitude and is not attentive at all. The bartender that came in for the night shift was immediately better and changed around our entire experience. Food was good and ambiance wasn't too bad but this girl was just sitting in front of us clearly waiting for us to tab out and finish eating. 100% felt rushed. The bar tender was our server and there was probably 30+ people there at the time. The bartender was our server, he was responsible for taking care of us, the others at the bar, as well as for making drinks for everyone else in the restaurant. Our service was very slow, but it wasn't his fault. He seemed like he was working hard and doing the best he could. I am so bummed that this was my experience at Sushi Creek. I've been wanting to come here for a long time, thought I should stop by after my dentist appointment.. Long story short, I left without eating. I placed a to go order for 1 sushi roll and waited over 30 mins. There were 4 tables total in the restaurant and 3 people behind the sushi bar. I work at a sushi restaurant and realized making rolls takes time but with 3 people behind the bar and only 4 tables in the restaurant, 30 mins seems absurd. After waiting that long, I asked for a refund and left because I had somewhere to be. The bartender had no explanation for me other than, "sorry it's still going to be a long while". We were all done eating and it finally came out. I'm hoping it was just an off day with the sushi because eating sushi that's not properly rolled isn't pretty. On a side note, they don't do take out so you're left waiting forever for a table. We got lucky since we decided to have dinner at 4pm. We came to Sushi Creek for Mother's Day dinner as a party of four--two adults and two kids. I called ahead to ask about the wait and was told we could be seated immediately. We arrived within five minutes, but were surprised to find there was a wait. We were told it would be 15 minutes, but it ended up being 45, despite several empty tables. Once seated, it took over 30 minutes for anyone to take our order, and then another 30 minutes to receive our food. Unfortunately, our kids' meal never came. When we asked about it, the server told us it had been delivered to the wrong table. At that point, we asked for the check so we could leave and get food for our kids elsewhere. Even then, the kids' meal was still on the bill. We had to point it out before it was removed, and there was no apology or sense of urgency throughout the entire experience. We were really disappointed--not just with the long wait times and mix-ups, but also the complete lack of attention or care from the staff. For a special occasion like Mother's Day, this was incredibly frustrating. read more

We've been before but this visit was less than pleasing. We were seated right away at 715pm. We were waiting on one more person who got here at 725pm. We did our orders on the menu and ordered 5 rolls around 735. The appetizer came which was the veggie tempura and a sushimi came. Our other rolls were no where in sight and the restaurant started to die down. We were being asked if we're were doing ok but still no food. We almost decided to cancel the sushi order as when we asked if our rolls were going to be up soon, we overheard the chef say he was just starting our order and that was at 835pm. The food did not come to the table till 8:47pm and we were still missing 2 rolls. The sushi rolls were ok. They were not the best especially having the long wait. To top off the irritability, someone from the back came to our table to offer a $50 gift certificate to use and it had an expiration of today. We figured we'd be able to use it due to the service that was provided. When the check came, we showed the waitress the gift certificate and she took it. Minutes later she came back and said that we were unable to use it for the check. We told her that it was expiring today. She took it back and said that we had a year to use it but we could not use it on this visit. It would have been nice to be able to use it on this visit being the long wait we had for our food. It was just a way to get us back in, in the future. I know there are not many sushi places in Queen Creek but we would have been better off going to Sprouts to get our sushi fix or driven somewhere else. read more

Always a delicious meal. Clean and friendly. My favorite is the nutty professor and the wicked jalapeños. The tempura is perfect every time. If you don't like raw fish, do not fret.
