Wow! Amy was such a great server and did a wonderful job being attentive to our table! Our sushi was out of this world! Every bite was fresh and fantastic! We'll definitely come back when I'm in town!

This is my mom and my favorite sushi spot. The ambiance is nice, the staff is always friendly and the quality of sushi is amazing! The sushi chef is very talented and you can tell they take pride in their work. Look at the amazing display of their talents.

Love this place so much. This is absolutely a hidden gem in Gilbert. I come here often and the staff is always friendly and the sushi is always fresh and delicious.

This was my first time here. Went during Friday happy hour 2pm to 6pm. Just ahead of the rush. Greeted as we came in. Cute decor with sushi and Japanese type decorations. Medium size place just right. Customer service included friendliness and respectful manners. Sat down and immediately our drink and food order taken. Fast service. Sushi so fresh and made perfectly into decent size pieces. Better than most happy hour menus. Servers always checking in and clearing empty plates. Explained which sushi or appetizer was being served to us. Kept our drinks filled. This is by far the best sushi I have had along with perfection of customer service!!!! Give them a try ! They will not disappoint. We will definitely be back again!!

This is one of the best sushi happy hour spots in Gilbert. If you are looking for a quick and easy drop in sushi spot, this can be your place. The cheese puffs and edamame are the perfect appetizers to start you off. I love their sweet potato roll, the Tootsie roll, and the creamy cali roll. The service is always great. They are kind and attentive. They get the food out very quickly and you can't beat the prices. If you are looking for a sushi place that won't break the bank but still tastes great look no further . Make sure to check this great sushi spot out.

Amaaaazing sushi! Been here a couple of times now and it's always super good. We got the shrimp tempura roll, rainbow roll, salmon & tuna nigiri & the chicken katsu and everything was delicious & fresh.

Food was good, service was great. Nice little place. Map didn't take me to the place directly so had to call and ask where they were located. Sushi burrito was a must because... it's a sushi burrito. It wasn't bad but don't think I would get it again as the ratio of crab meat was too high for me. Other roll and nigiri were really good, gyoza was good too. Would go back.

This is typically my family's go to spot to door dash sushi from but tonight's meal was so tasteless and underwhelming, like I was legit sad I spent money on this food. I ordered a tempura shrimp udon and instead received an udon soup with 4 pieces of small non breaded shrimp and the flavor was so bland. I added soy sauce and it was still so bland tasting-- and randomly there was sweet canned corn and green beans in my udon. I've never seen that before out of all the Japanese restaurants I've been to. The yellow tail nigiri was also so fishy tasting, I'll be surprised if I don't end up getting food poisoning from it. Please do better, I want to like this restaurant :(

Came here for dinner and the place was packed. We called ahead to reserve a spot, but still had to wait for a table to open up when we arrived (would still recommend calling ahead). We ordered the salmon sashimi, yellowtail sashimi, blossom roll, and rock n roll roll. My personal favorite was the blossom roll but the salmon sashimi was also really good! The service was great and I would recommend to try it out if you're in the area.

Found this place on one of the newest Yelp "collections" as this was for local sushi spots in the metro Phx area. We have never eaten fancy sushi, we just look for HH deals. So we aren't picky. Food was good, nothing crazy wow but worth a stop. Service, speed of food brought to table, and prices were 5 stars. Check out the pics. Come for the HH deals.

I was surprised at how extensive the menu was; I thought there would be a majority of drinks and two items to snack on, but there were definitely more than I was prepared to decide on. I opted for the popcorn chicken. As I waited for my food, there was a couple fun things to see, like their wall of blind boxes you can purchase. For the price of the popcorn chicken, I felt that the amount I received was very fair, and honestly worth it. There were a lot of big pieces of chicken (suchhhh a perk since it could have been all deep fry), and the flavour was super yummy. I think next time I'd order it with extra seasoning or garlic/basil (? I think they had these two in there). I felt it could have been seasoned just a SMIDGE more, but it was still tasty. After iTea left a popcorn chicken sized hole in my heart, I felt this was a suitable replacement. I haven't gotten the drinks yet, but am excited to try it next!

The restaurant is fairly large, and seems like a lot of people like coming here for family/friend dinners. Like the name insists, the teppanyaki is the way to go. Their menu isn't that large, so it was pretty easy to make a decision. I opted for the filet mignon (rare) along with shrimp. Teppanyaki is really more of a show/experience, so the food comes out to you in sections (versus all at once like at a traditional restaurant). The filet was so soft, and was perfectly rare, and the shrimp was so good. I think in the future I'd eat a whole plate of shrimp. I also got to try the yakiniku, and that was also pretty good but very sweet. Their Boo Yah Ka roll was also pretty yummy. It's essentially a spring roll, but with some spice and citrus to it. I went to Sakura a few months ago celebrate a friends little brothers birthday. It was about 5 of us all together. We did AYCE and ordered many different sushi rolls - I naturally gravitated towards the spicy ones since I love spicy tuna, salmon, etc. Unfortunately, I early on could tell that the food was not fresh. I thought maybe it was just the rolls I was trying so then I tried my friends rolls & the tuna had a very weird taste and consistency. As someone who eats spicy tuna rolls any chance I get, I have tried many sushi places and this one was one of the worst spicy tuna rolls . We finished our meals and chatted for a bit. I would say not even 40 minutes had passed since we finished eating when I started to get nauseous. I think the worst part overall was getting sick from eating here. I was sick for about 2 days and couldn't keep food down if you know what I mean. I didn't want to ruin the birthday fun for my friends so I didn't mention how bad of an experience I had. I'd like to mention that my partner got sick from the food as well so it was not just me. I am writing this in the hopes that the Sakura staff make an effort into looking into the way their sushi staff prepare the fish/food. Or maybe this is a bigger issue with the quality of the fish they buy.
