This place is efficient! Placed order online, for bento lunch. When I arrived in 15 minutes it was hot and waiting for me. Fried dumplings were delicious. Salad though small was very good. Arrived to this restaurant because it was rated 4.5 stars however super disappointed in the food. On the other hand, service was great! I got the ramen with added on chicken. Note, if you just get the regular ramen it just comes with noodles, cabbage, green onions, carrots and broth. After the first bite, the noodles tasted like they were right from the packaged ramen you get from the store. Broth was ok. My main disappointment was the over charred chicken! I hate wasting food, I continued to eat at the over charred areas of the chicken. For an extra $2-3 I wouldn't get the chicken added again. The red dragon roll was probably my favorite roll. The spicy tuna was ok. Restaurant was clean and our food came out fast. I don't think I'll come back again unfortunately. read more

However, I was surprised that the broth was spicy since it wasn't indicated on the menu. There should be an option for plain broth vs spicy. I picked the chicken bento which came with California rolls, veggies and shrimp tempura which was pretty satiating! The breading on the tempura was a little thicker than what I'm used to. My husband and I really enjoyed this place. To start, it was very clean inside and the customer service was superb! The woman that took our order was very kind and checked in on us often. My husband got a bento box with chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it. I did the ramen with chicken, and the chicken was good but I wasn't the biggest fan of the ramen. Today, I visited a wonderful little eatery called Grill N Chop. This is really a Japanese fast service restaurant with both sushi and noodle dishes. What i loved about the place was 1) its variety of clear, strong selections on its menu 2) its reasonable pricing of all items 3) its clean, spacious facility and 4) a kind, hospitable and efficient staff. I am always on the lookout for good value and great flavor, and when I can get both of those with a pleasant experience with kind people, then I write a review. For me, Grill N Chop met all those criteria and exceeded my expectations on my first visit. Today, I ordered a Ramen noodle dish with chicken. I chose not to get a combo today, only because I would be exercising a few hours later and didn't want to be overfull. The combos come with sushi and i will have to try that next time. That said, the ramen i had was really excellent! The noodles were cooked right, staying firmly together but completely cooked throughout. The chicken was flavorful and plentiful, and the vegetables throughout were complimentary to the noodles and chicken. The flavor of the soup broth was absolutely stellar. I really, really enjoyed it! My son got the chicken and rice plate, and the flavors and texture were likewise very, very good. The location has a good sized dining room with lots of space. The room is open and well lit with good social distancing and plentiful room for each table. You order at the counter and then they bring the dish to you table. The staff is very kind. They explained any dishes I asked about and were patient as i made my selection. The prices were very reasonable as well. I got my large ramen bowl for under 10 dollars and i had 1/3 of it left over to take home. This is a very good value. Beyond the good prices, kind staff and nice facility, the real winner here is the amazing taste of their noodle dish and ramen soup. Really it is spectacular. I tried Grill n Chop last week and was not very impressed! One of the most important aspects of a Teriyaki dish is the sauce. And the sauce did not taste right at all. Definitely not sweet enough, not that I like it extra sweet, but this sauce was not sweet at all. I am now curious if they make their own sauce? If so maybe it was not a good batch. I went with grilled and the toasty burnt bits are always my fav! My husband went with breaded which was equally tasty and not overly oily either. You can also choose your sides from steamed veggies, to dumplings, to salad or their rice love pockets aka Inarizushi. These are deliciously fried tofu pockets stuffed with sushi rice. Their mixed tempura (lightly battered veggies/meats) and teriyaki chicken were also amazing that my kids wolfed it down before my little eyeballs even blinked lol. But when we arrived, the restaurant was closed for lunch, and there was a sign on the door saying they couldn't open due to lack of workers. So, we looked around and saw Grill n Chop nearby. What a happy alternative! Not only was the food delicious but the service was outstanding. I really like bento box lunches and here I could choose what I wanted in the box. My selection was 4 steamed dumplings, teriyaki chicken, 5 pieces of California roll, and steamed veggies. All very good. The rest of the group got shrimp udon, veggie tempura, and various sushi rolls (there are 15 types). The prices were quite reasonable. This is a small, family-owned, unique restaurant. It's small and comfortable, and the staff is really friendly. The owners always remember what I get, and I absolutely love their food. To my surprise, the sushi is also really good. The menu item I get is a little pricey, but I'll say that the sushi I get is on par with my favorite sushi restaurants. The chicken is great too. The only thing I don't like is the shrimp tempura. I LOVE shrimp tempura, but there's tastes like something that's meant to be fried that they just microwave.
