We decided to stop by sizzling house since we were shopping around Mekong supermarket and saw their menu outside. The menu had ramen or sizzling plates and we decided to go with the ramen. I ordered the black garlic tonkotsu ramen and my bf ordered the gold angus beef. Both ramen's presentations looked very appetizing when it came out. The black garlic tonkotsu was pretty good - very garlicy which I liked but I wasn't like wowed by it. The chashu was also thinner and tougher than I expected. Normally, I prefer chashu that is soft, tender, and almost melts in your mouth. Egg was good. The ramen was also more lukewarm than I would have liked. I was expecting it to be served much hotter. The golden angus beef broth was better - a little on the spicier side and sour. I would say I am pretty particular with ramen because I lived in California haha so it's hard to compare. Service was very friendly. Our waiter was nice and attentive. I think I'll have to try their sizzling plates next time to give them another fair chance. There were lots of tables inside. Parking was easy.
Sizzle on the plates... chaos at the counter! Classic strip-mall Chinese spot vibes, fast traffic, sizzling sounds....but our experience was more frustration than flavor. Our order was wrong twice, and instead of fixing it, they tried to charge us for the incorrect dishes they brought out. Not cool! When the right food finally arrived, it was actually tasty....big portions, bold flavors ...but getting there felt like a customer service obstacle course. Lots of back-and-forth, lots of confusion, zero accountability. Clean enough, plenty of menu options, family-friendly seating, but honestly, it's hard to enjoy dinner when you're double-checking receipts and fighting mystery charges. Bottom line: food has potential, service needs a reality check. If you go, watch your order... and your bill
What a great spot! First off all of the food we tried was incredible. Takoyaki, fried squid, we got iced green tea, sizzling plate with yakisoba and angus beef, black garlic ramen, and spicy chicken Cajun ramen. Everything amazing. Very convenient spot in Mekong Plaza with upbeat ambience. Excellent service! We will be back!
Discovered this while strolling through the Mekong Plaza after visiting the new Miniso!! I love a good ramen and definitely have a few favorite spots around the phoenix area. The servers were patient and kind, my friend and I were having a bit of a yap sesh which prevented us from ordering right away . I went with the Spicy Cajun Chicken Ramen in medium level spice but replaced the chicken with chashu. I could've probably went to the next level because I do love my ramen super spicy but the broth was very flavorful, the egg was perfect and the bowl of ramen was overall very good. I will definitely have to visit again whenever I want ramen on this side on of town.

Came here on a recommendation and it was definitely worth it. Food was great. Service was great. No alcohol but a decent selection of soda and tea. Not noisy at all, despite lots of reflective surfaces (glass and tiles).
Had a wonderful dinner with the family here. The angus beef was perfectly tender with no chewy bits, I'm very particular about beef and took a risk and it was worth it. Loved the decor and service was quick. I also love that they pack your leftovers for you and give you an insulated bag!

We stopped by to try the fun experience of a sizzling plate, reminiscent of the infamous fajita plates at other fast casual restaurants. Service was quick and organized. We ordered a chicken sizzling plate. The food was definitely piping hot and sizzling when it came to us. It was fun to have the different textures to the rice, as some of the rice and chicken at the bottom became a little more crispy from the heat of the plate compared to the food on top. We ordered medium spice and could have gone spicer and still been comfortable.
Incredible place the food will blow your socks off so flavorful and the workers are so nice service is lovely. You really can't go wrong with anything but I always get black garlic ramen and the sizzling plate with steak and rice and oofff thank me later also chicken kaarage slaps
Hit up this place in New Years Eve lunch time. As always the shopping center was packed. Finding parking is the hardest thing. The place was busy, the husband ordered the sizzling plate, chicken with Yakisoba noodles and the house sauce. I ordered the Black garlic ramen. My husband said his sizzling plate was ok, but he is comparing it to his favorite Yakisoba noodles at Sushirama, so honestly he should have tried something a bit different. The Ramon was good, nice flavor, lots of noodles and all the other extras that come with ramen. The spring rolls were tasty and they came with a side of somewhat spicy dipping sauce. All in all glad we tried it.
It was my first time here, service was super quick and friendly. It's a place where you seat yourself, a little robot on wheels will bring food but a human server takes the food off the robot to serve us. They also provide you a decent size bottle of water to serve yourself throughout your meal. I ordered egg rolls, shrimp tempura and the spicy miso ramen and added extra shrimp. Everything was VERY hot so be careful. The shrimp tempura was my favorite, very light but perfectly crunchy. The egg rolls and ramen were okay, I think they both could've used more seasoning. I will say if you're sensitive to spice, do not order the medium level or above. Other than that I think each plate provided a good amount of food.
I enjoy coming here for dinner at this place inside Mekong Palace. Sizzling House opened last year and is an Asian restaurant that specializes in ramen and sizzling plates. They serve their main entrées on hot stone platters. You get a choice of protein (tofu, chicken, shrimp, salmon or Angus beef) and a sauce (house or curry) over rice or udon noodles. We ordered the Angus Beef with house sauce and the Spicy Chicken Ramen. There are QC codes at the table for ordering. We ordered a couple of appetizers to start off with before getting our sizzling plates. Food comes to you via a friendly robot server that zips around the restaurant. I really enjoyed my Sizzling Angus Beef Plate. The portions were just right and it ended up being a fun evening of good conversation and laughter. Not only is the food good here, you get a little entertainment from the robot server and the smoke that comes off your sizzling plate.
Time at Sizzling House. We really love to come here! It's located in Mekong plaza in the Asian district in Mesa, which is a place you can always get great food. The decor is great - - very clean and modern with lots of Asian touches and perfect lighting. The servers are super nice and very helpful in helping you choose. There is even one of those cool cat robots to help deliver your food. There were four of us, and between us we ordered the Miso ramen, two sizzling plate with beef and rice, and one sizzling plate with beef and soba noodles. The sizzling plates come with a bowl of miso soup. The plates are actually flat little iron skillets, and come with a paper wrap to protect you from getting burned, because they are truly sizzling! The servers offer to mix if for you. This is a great place for a casual but great meal! It's already a repeat for us because the food is delicious, the service friendly, AND the prices are right.
Sizzling House was a nice surprise and definitely worth checking out if you're already at Mekong Palace. The restaurant has a cute atmosphere, the music wasn't too loud, and they even had the FIFA World Cup on the TVs, which made for a fun place to sit and eat. If you order one of the sizzling plates, it comes with a bowl of miso soup. The miso was really good and didn't have that overly fishy flavor that some places have. We also tried the fried pork dumplings, which were pretty standard potstickers, but they were done well. The sweet and sour dipping sauce had just a tiny bit of spice that made it a little more interesting. The pork soup bao were another good choice, with plenty of filling and really good flavor. I ordered the Wagyu sizzling plate, and it was definitely the highlight of the meal. It comes out on an extremely hot plate, which gives some of the rice a nice crispy texture. Everything was cooked well, and the overall flavor was really good. The service was excellent too. There were two servers taking care of the dining room, and both were friendly, answered our questions, and stayed on top of refilling our water throughout the meal. Overall, this was a really enjoyable experience with good food, great service, and a fun atmosphere. I'd definitely come back and try more of the menu. read more
This was one of the most difficult rating debates I have had in awhile, and the three stars feels low, as I would recommend this to friends and will be back...but there is a nuance to the experience had. First, Sizzling House sits around a plethora of amazing food options in the Mesa Asian District. It is a small eatery and very casual. We started with the dumplings and karage. These were where the rating dropped. I didn't find anything memorable about either... My friend ordered the tokontsu ramen with think noodles. I had a taste, and while I'd order it if wanting ramen, this was what I expect of good ramen. It hit the right notes on taste and the noodle s were cooked well, just nothing that would make me perk up if someone wanted to get ramen. The highlight, which would have made this a debate between 4 and 5 stars, and which I will go back for (already excited!), was the sizzling Angus beef plate with thick udon noodles. This was one of the better dishes I have had of late, and I am glad I got extra beef and opted for the black pepper sauce. The thinly sliced beef with the thick udon noodles was a perfect pairing, and I ate this much faster than I meant to, not leaving any leftovers despite the add ons. Food came out quick. Atmosphere - When we arrived, there were a few people there. While there, a few more people arrived. There was a fair amount of tables and chairs in the restaurant. The restaurant was located inside of a shopping center parking lot. Still, the place was easy to find. I didn't visit the restroom. I am not sure if they have a dedicated one. Temperature inside was good. I have been to a handful of places where it's been hot. No patio. No problem since it is usually too hot outside to sit. Food - We had the rice sizzling plate with chicken. The rice on the bottom got burnt because it wasn't stirred. Got to remember to keep stirring it, unless you like your food charred or fire grilled. The hot stone plate is hot and your food comes out sizzling! Service - I saw three employees there. The service here was fine. They let us pick our own seats and sit down. Ordering went well and the food came out a little slow. They did have a cute robot server that plays music as it brings the food to the table. Pretty unique. Parking - The parking lot is shared with other businesses. Can get crowded during peak hours. No parking meters or parking structures. A parking structure with solar panels on top or plants would be nice. Otherwise, no shaded spots available. Future - The fried chicken appetizer was pretty good. The Takoyaki has dried fish flakes on it. They have cute take out bags. read more

I previously visited Sizzling House for a Yelp event and loved it. Finally had some time to come with my family! My husband got the sizzling wagyu plate, I got the wagyu ramen, and we ordered a kids beef ramen for my son. It's as good as I remembered!!! It was my husband's first time and was blown away! He added shrimp to his plate. His only complaint was that he had to wait to eat because the plate was so hot haha. The kids ramen is huge! It's like a regular ramen without all the extra topping. My son didn't finish it so we have leftovers for tomorrow! Our server was great and friendly-- answered all of our questions. We were sad the robot server wasn't working tonight :( read more
This is my second time coming here. I wanted to try their ramen this time and I can't complain about any of it. Keep in mind if you get the sizzling plate, it comes with a caution tag in it (caution band around the plate), it even sounds extremely hot.. wait 5-10 minutes before putting anything in your mouth. I was so hungry that I ignored all the signs and burnt the HECK out of my mouth lol.. they even told me it was hot, but it just went in one ear and out the other. This time I got angus beef ramen and I enjoyed it. I need to remember to bring my own chopsticks, not a fan of the wood ones. The green tea wasn't bad, I wish they used more tea bags. I'm glad this time the music was family friendly. I'd definitely come back again, the cost was very reasonable as well. read more

So the service was fast and we got sat down quickly. Food also came out incredibly quickly. We got two sizzling plates. One with yakisoba, poke belly, and kimchi. The other was shrimp with udon. Also included in our meals was miso soup. There is a lot of flash to the the place with it's modern feel and decor, plates, and skillet flare. The server will offer to mix your food for you. As for how the food was, everything came out incredible salty. Now I have a pretty high salt tolerance and even I didn't finish my dish. The quality of ingredients and meat seemed fine for what we had, but the salt just made the meal a 0 for me. I might give it a go again, but it will probably be a while before we go back with so many other fantastic choices in the area. read more

This was quite a new experience! Those plates really ARE sizzling! Everything was SO hot and fresh and delicious. Being able to order on our phones and it arriving so fast was like being spoiled. The servers were very helpful and when we needed food suggestions. I would DEFINITELY go again and would like to try ramen next time! read more

I have passed by this place many times, but finally found two friends that have not been yet to join me. The other friend has already been but she decided to come assist us newbies. I all shared dishes so we can taste as much as we can. Chicken Karaage: Crispy, marinated chicken pieces deep-fried to golden perfection, served with a creamy dipping sauce - Yum and fried to perfection! Fried Tofu: Crispy tofu cubes served with a side of savory dipping sauce - These were perfect. Wagyu Beef Sizzling Rice Plate: wagyu beef, rice, edamame beans, corn, garlic butter, green onion, fried garlic in their house sauce - It was ok but not too special. Chicken Sizzling Rice Plate: Sizzling chicken served over rice edamame beans, corn, garlic butter, green onion, fried garlic in curry sauce. - Ok, WOW this was very good! The service was good, but they did not use the cute server machine that day. The fire alarm in the middle of dinner was confusing. Was not sure if I was suppose to get out and go or not. Came here with my kiddo for lunch. Read some mixed reviews but figure I give this place a try. Ordered the chicken karage for appetizer. Ordered black garlic tonkatsu ramen and thr beef sizzling rice dish. Price little on the high end and I hate the fact that sizzling rice bowl comes with corn and edamame, fried garlic and butter and what ever sauce you pick. Every other add on vegetables extra... Lame.. Staffs were friendly but little overly aggressive on taking order.. Literally looked at menus for 2 mins and they asked 3 times if we were ready to order.. Chicken karage.. Well.. It's just OK, light batter deep fried chicken pieces. Dipping sauce was OK. It wasn't horrible but didn't have that extra crunch. Ramen dish presentation was good. Broth was very strong garlic flavor of course.. But where was the tonkatsu flavor.. Ummm more like water broth with heavy dose of garlic. The garnish was alright. The pork piece was but on the tough end. I remember the ones from few other places were it's fatty and melt in your mouth. Noodle was nicely done.. Option of thin or thick noodle. Now to the sizzling dish. I wanted ramen but figure I orders the main dish they are known for. Presentation was nice.. Nice hot sizzling skillet and staff offered to mix it for me. Dish did come with miso soup which was not bad. The taste... Well... Very blend. It was not bad but it was like eating typical beef fried rice. If you wanted mixed rice this style I would recommend going to Korean restaurant and ordering dorsot bibim bap. You get lot more extra veggies included Over all food was ok. $42 bux later I definitely would not be coming here again. read more
We had to come back to Sizzling House for more tasty goodness after our initial Trip event visit for more sizzling hot goodness! As previously the staff were friendly helpful expeditious and efficient! The cute robot was also delivering our dishes again! You can't help but smile when you see it coming! The sizzling rice plates we got this time was just as delicious as before and we even added some extras too! Although they offered to mix everything for us, we opted to mix it ourselves. So hot and yummy and a very generous portion as before. Looks like we'll be a regular here and will keep sharing them with our friends! This place was still open at 7:30pm while others were already closed. Walked in and the place was empty, had to ask if they were closing and they said "No". Got seated, given menus and got water. Ordered the black garlic oil tonkatsu ramen and the child sized miso ramen. As well as the shishito peppers. The peppers were mostly spicy hot but were good. The ramen with thick noodles were promptly brought out. The broth was very good with lots of flavor. Noodles were done just right. The portions were perfect and wouldn't leave you hungry. The staff were excellent and friendly. The music playlist was awesome. Definitely recommend. read more

Let's start off by saying the second I opened the door, I heard a sizzling plate and I knew this place was going to be delicious! The staff was friendly and prompt providing us with stainless steel cups (kept our water cold and refreshing!) * We got for starters the spicy garlic edamame (5/5) and the fried bread was delicious and made to order! * Our main course (which was brought to us by the automated server, which was so cute!) consisted of Black garlic Tonkotsu Ramen and the spicy Miso ramen and the flavors were bursting! We enjoyed the broth being savory, the marinated eggs are full of flavor! * This spot is perfect for a date or small crowd not looking for much noise. Food, service and everything in between is great! I'll be back to try additional things on the menu! read more
