I love the anime theme of this restaurant. The walls have very cute decor and this is a great location, as it's next to 99 Ranch, Somi Somi, and 85 Degrees Bakery. The facility is very clean and staff are very nice. However, I ordered the tonkotsu ramen and could not fall in love with the noodles. The noodles are reminiscent of the cup ramen noodles in my opinion - if they changed the consistency of the noodles, I think I would like this place a lot more. I had been wanting to visit this place for a while. Once you walk in to the restaurant, you walk up to a couple of tablets where you place your order and then walk over to the register to pay. I don't really see the point of it since you still have to pay at a separate register. They have a build your own option where you can add the noodles, broth and toppings of your choice. Tried this restaurant today because I'm looking for more lunch options that are not heavy. First impression was not good. The employees just watched me figure out on my own, with no signage, obvious guides, or offers to help/explain that the two self serve screens at the front were for me to place my order. They were just standing there, with nothing to do. The menu on those screens did not explain the contents of anything. I had to guess what the ramen bowls included based on fuzzy pictures. It did tell me an egg was another $2. Pass. Then I had to take my receipt over over to a cashier to pay. I personally hate kiosks and won't usually return to restaurants that include them, but this was the worst of both worlds. I had to touch a dirty sticky kiosk and also pay at a separate station. One or the other folks, not both! The angry chicken bowl was not good. It was extremely sweet. I've never had sweet ramen. By the end of the bowl I was eating with a fork, wishing for a strainer, because the broth was turning my stomach. There were also a few chefs options to choose from, but no explanation of what ingredients were in them. The pork protein was super thin and looked like a piece of undercooked bacon. It tasted ok, but looked unappealing. My daughter's friend got a ramen with no toppings except for the included protein and it took off $2. My daughter got the ramen with only an egg and pork. They upcharge $2 for egg, but didn't automatically take off the extra $2 for no veggie toppings, so it means we actually paid $4 for no veggies and an egg. They should fix that. I only noticed after my daughter ordered and when I brought it to the employees attention, she just stated, "uh yeah". Ok then. We're glad they're opened. This is a convenient locations for us. It's walk up counter service. They have two computers at the front for you to place your order on. You can only swipe your loyalty points card at this computer. You will then proceed to the cashier and pay there. It's $14 for the basic ramen with basic add in. You can do upgrades. I appreciate that they didn't charge extra for GF. The prices are kind of high. But you get a lot of food. I'll probably get 3 meals off of this bowl. The dining area does get smoky while the kitchen is cooking. The staff is friendly and patient. But they bring your food to your table and then they clean your table.
