First time eating here. I got the teriyaki chicken. I'm giving it a 3/5 star, mostly due to the service rendered. The food was actually decent though. The teriyaki chicken tasted more like an Asian dish than a Hawaiian dish. But the chicken and rice were good and the teriyaki sauce was good too. My gripe is about two things: 1. Asking for extra sauce 2. Odd service When I received my order, I asked for extra teriyaki sauce and the lady looked and responded to me a bit rudely. Almost felt like me asking for 1 extra teriyaki sauce packet was going to bankrupt their business lol. That's weird and honestly puts a weird vibe on the experience here. The odd service comes from them packing up my order "to go". I never asked for it to go. They never asked me if I was taking it to go. They just packed it up to go. So I began wondering why and then started noticing things. I started watching other customers come in and order. Well, just like it seems like every food spot asks for a "tip" nowadays, I noticed that the customers who chose to tip them (for who knows why ‍) received their orders on a plate to eat in the restaurant. I noticed two other customers who chose "no tip" received their orders in "to go" bags. When I payed for my order, I also chose not to pay a tip because there's simply no reason to pay a tip for pick up places like this. And I also received a "to go" bag. Maybe this is all in my head or just coincidence, but it would be weird to see this happening to everyone who chooses to tip or not to tip, during the 15-20min eating time I had there. So due to these weird things, that's why I chose 3/5 stars. I've never seen another business question a customer asking for more sauce not ever seen them take customers not tipping and personal vendetta's. ‍ read more

This place has been super solid for years. The Teriyaki Chicken bowls are great. The Spicy Tuna bowl is amazing too. I've had a few rolls and even though they are a little pricey they are good. Fast friendly order counter with receipt that has your order number they call when your order is ready. Food 5/5 I am a beef Yukasoba nut, theirs is the best. Great noodles & sauce with mixed vegetables. Their white rice is almost a sticky rice which works great with my chopsticks. Someday I will try some sushi but it must be with someone who can help me choose. Appears to be an extensive menu for sushi lovers. If in doubt, Yukasoba is what it's about. Dined here for lunch. Was skeptical based on recent reviews, but our experience was good. The ladies in the front were friendly. Food was good, preferred the chicken over the beef with our rice bowls though. Big self serve teriyaki jugs to add to your meal, which I love! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The interior needs some touch ups. Opted for delivery dinner on a whim last night, and it was a pretty dang good choice! But, I think I may have learned my lesson about ordering so close to closing time- some of it was quite obviously the "last" of what had been cooked for the day. Overall, I wasn't disappointed. The food came delivered piping hot, still! So, they really did make effort for it to be "fresh". I chose the beef yakisoba, edamame & gyoza (potstickers). I was really impressed with the yakisoba- a decent amount of the GOOD vegetables, not a bunch of soggy cabbage (which is common amongst other places), excellent flavor & noodles to perfection! But, the beef was what I docked a star over. It WOULD have been good... had it not been literal scraps & chunks of fatty grissel. It was evident that was the last scraps of what had been served throughout the evening. Not good or very edible. But, the edamame was a generous pile! Slightly salted but not overdone. It was delicious & I actually wish I would have opted for a double order of that! Same with the gyoza. The 8 piece quantity for price is great! They were also perfectly cooked, just slightly crisped but solidly steamed- no fatty chunks inside and plenty of sauce on the side. I would have opted to add in some sushi, but the prices were a bit steep for what they offer. 4 pcs of a basic crunch roll (1/2 order) was nearly $6! Maybe for the entire roll... it also seemed to vary between delivery platforms, which I found a little deceiving. When it comes down to it- I'm a happy camper for the most part. I'll definitely order again, and visit once we're allowed to be dining out again. We used to go here for lunch breaks often, so I'm glad I stumbled upon the delivery option last night. I think I'll just try to order a little earlier next time and choose the chicken instead of beef. read more

Normally my family and I love yogis. It is our go to spot for rice bowls. However, this location specifically was rather disappointing. Normally (with other locations we have been to), the chicken is thinly sliced and laid nicely on the rice. This location just piles on huge chunks of chicken. It made it harder to eat with just a fork and I ended up having to use a knife as well. The chicken was also over cooked and very dry. My mom even hurt her tooth on a piece at one point. Aside from that the flavor was still there. I tried the gyzo for the first time and they were pretty decent. Not sure if we will return to this specific location but we are still yogis fans overall. read more

I've been coming to this Yogis for years without issue, The last 3 times I've been there I've had increasing difficulty each time. Tonight was the last straw. It's one thing when Covid hit and they had to go to individual teriyaki packets instead of plastic containers, Fully understand that and never had a problem receiving 2teriyaki containers with each entree I'm paying $10+ dollars for, Then it changed to 2packets ONLY came with bowls, not with any other entree, If I want teriyaki with Udon, sushi or yakisoba it now costs 50centd for a ONE ounce packet. I ordered my food, requested (and paid for) 2 teriyaki packets, while I heard them call another customer order up (which was the same entree I ordered) the customer got their food, walked out the door, turned around and came right back in & asked "can I get 3 teriyaki packets"? They were handed to him and out the door they went - not paying a dime extra. If you're going to nickel & dime the customer, at least be consistent and don't rub it in my face that I literally just got taken advantage of while you free for all another customer in front of me, I'm done with you Yogis. read more

Had the reg size chicken teriyaki bowl and hubby had beef and chicken large bowl. We also ordered egg rolls. The bowls were great and had lots of meat. Egg tools were lack luster. Won't order them again but definitely the bowls. They don't serve beer but do have cups for water from the drink machine. Everything is in to go containers and they call your number out and you go to the counter to get. We will definitely eat here again. read more

I have to admit this post is a little bit nostalgic. I used to live in Mesa Arizona and on a recent visit had the chance to go back to yogis grill. The staff here is always very polite, friendly and fast. The food is always fresh and made-to-order. It was just as good as I always remember. The bathrooms are clean and the seating area is well-maintained. I had the dragon roll, Las Vegas roll and regular teriyaki chicken all white meat. It never fails to satisfy. My rating system consists of a 3-star being exactly what you expected and neither good nor bad. A 4 means something was extra special and a 5 means you were blown away. A 2 star rating was disappointing and a 1-star rating is terrible read more

What? I'm not only at a fast food chain but I'm reviewing it? Well I have my rules and I have my exceptions to them. Yogis is a chain, kinda, but with only a handful of locations and being locally based I classify them more as a multi-location mom & pop. This location is their #2 store and frankly showing its age. Both the service and the price are impressive and the range of menu choices is superb for a mall fast food place. What attracted my eye this chilly afternoon was that they have udon soup, an option that I've not easily found in the area. When I worked near the Japanese business district in California I had a favorite hole-in-the-wall noodle house where I would have lunch (and sometimes dinner) often with my Japanese co-workers and friends. There isn't much more satisfying on a cold rainy day than a steaming bowl of udon. Yogis makes a pretty good bowl of udon, not great but tasty and satisfying. The kakejiru isn't as rich as I'm used and is the lighter style more common in western Japan than the darker variety found in eastern Japan, to and the quality of beef is a little lower grade than I would like but then again the price is only $8 bucks. It's the udon noodles themselves that I think they need to work on. They are plain and bland and a bit overcooked to be authentic. I suspect they use plain white flour rather than more traditional wheat. Overall though I can't complain, it all comes together nicely. The loss of one star is for cleanliness. This place needs a remodel and some attention to detail. I can't critique the staffer who I watched working his butt off cleaning up, restocking the service area and taking the trash out. He was doing what he could with what he had to work with. It's time for the owner to step up and invest a few bucks into a new paint job, floor refinishing and furniture repair. read more

I had the katsu chicken bowl and it was awful, the breading was very light and totally lacking in texture. Additionally, the chicken was dry and overcooked. On top of that, the sauce really seemed to lack depth of flavor. Finally, my girlfriend had a sushi roll from there that was mediocre.
