I have to say the food was good but for the price like some have said - seems to be a bit high. We got the beef combo c with beef stew and steamed egg/corn cheese comes with this but the corn cheese gets stale very quickly so their suggestion to get double egg should be taken - which is sad bc corn cheese is like one of those must tries on my list but also something I wanted to have with my meat, not 15 minutes before my meat came. The beef soup was very good - tofu was ultra soft and silky. I loved the spice level and they bonchon was also definitely worth trying. I would recommend getting extra salad dressing on the side and getting the lettuce plate (which is an extra $3.5) for the meat unless you want to eat it with the pre-tossed salad. Huge fan of the ginseng spirit. Not their typical 40-53% though, so be sure to know the difference. They also served me a different one than what I had in the flight which tasted and looked different (it was murkier vs clear when ordered in the full bottle) and the bottle is def 13%. Service is on pointe - never needed to ask for anything other than another box and if you're trying to hear someone on a first date I wouldn't recommend coming here, but the general ambiance is fun and worth a try with good friends and family. Smoking Tiger in Gilbert is a good spot if you're in the mood for Kbbq. They do not offer all you can eat instead they offer combos. We got the beef combo for two. The atmosphere is great like your typical Kbbq. Service was friendly and efficient, even when it was busy. The only reason I'm not giving it a full 5 stars is because I would have liked more food. Ok so I was told that we were going to go out and have this amazing dinner that I didn't have to cook lol. Well 1 of the 2 was true. This place is super fun so first of all let me say thank you to the servers they were super helpful and nice. The ordering here is very easy to follow, the meat is fresh and you end up going home with another meal at least the portions are definitely worth the price that you're going to pay for two. I have to say that the kimchee was my least favorite I'm not a fan and my favorite had to be the beef soup it was heavenly delicious. The cucumber salad i wish came in a larger size that was really good as well. You get nice thinly slices of meet to cook up yourself we were really full by the time we left there. Very good Korean Barbeque. The meat combo's here offer two people PLENTY of food. As with all Kbbq spots, you can cook yourself, although our server did it for us, keeping the food and drinks coming. Our 3-party did the "A" small combo ($80) consisting of Wagyu sliced brisket, pork belly, pork collar, and wagyu beef belly. That included the usual sets of pickled Korean veggies, as well as steamed egg, corn cheese and soybean soup. We also ordered the seafood pancake appetizer ($18), its large enough to share with 3-4 people, and the Stone Bibimbap ($18). We took simply separate menu items, but next time, we'll go for the grilled options as the tables are prepared for those. Lemme tell you my favorite dish here as a regular! Hass! To be the heavenly wagyu beef. Moist, juicy, and straight-up extraordinary! every bite was favor poppin' in my mouth. My girl and I stumbled into the Smoking Tiger Korean BBQ July 19 around 7 pm. Pleasant atmosphere, still bustling and loud even though it was pretty slow. The service was on point too, friendly without hovering, and the timing was perfect. May I please say more about this beef, although a pricey cut from Korean BBQ. Just a pinch of salt is all it needed.. Didn't even need sauce, but when I added it, that smokey buttery flavor with a hint of cinnamon took it over the top. Plates swapped fast, refills came smooth, and the staff stayed attentive the whole time. Only real downside was near the bathroom, kinda stinky, and the pans looked a little old. Still, the food and vibe made it totally worth it. I'd come back just for that wagyu, it was that good. Thanks for reading be sure to rate! Overall service and food was TOP! However for the price. My sister and I decided to try this place as we'd never been and it is a newer restaurant. We walked in and there was only about a 5 min wait... They just had to get a table ready. Once the table was ready, we got seated and started. The menu is mainly combos, but you can order ala carte. We got the small beef combo which came with brisket(chadol baegi), marinated short rib (galbi), marinated rib eye (bulgogi), beef soon tofu soup, egg souffle, and cheesy corn. It was all amazing. I usually don't like the egg or the corn but it was well seasoned and had a lot of flavor! The meats were also super delicious. The soup had great flavor and just enough spice! We ordered some lettuce, japchae and gyoza as well. The japchae had the perfect blend of seasoning, veggies and meat. It was amazing. Some of the best I've had in AZ. Usually we like most things but there are a few we don't... Not here... My sister and I couldn't decide what to keep eating next because everything was so. Good. The presentation of the meats, banchan, and place setting was also super well done. The servers all share the tables and every single one that came to our table was extremely nice. One gal got us started and chatted with us as she put the meat on. One thing I forgot to mention, they bring some beef Tallow out to get the grill oiled before putting on the food. So good! I will say that when you enter, the smoke from all the grills is very evident in the restaurant. It didn't bother me but I did notice it seemed a bit more than other Korean BBQ places. I wish I had tried this place sooner. Right away we were greeted by friendly staff and sat at a table. It wasn't a weekend though so I'm unsure how busy they can get. We chose the 3 person combo and it was very filling. Maybe not so much if there are heavy eaters in the group but everyone was filled at the end. We got there around 6:30 pm on a Friday night, and luckily, we didn't have to wait for a table. By 7:00 pm, the place was packed, with people waiting at the door. Definitely glad we arrived early! The staff was super helpful and attentive, and the vibe reminded us of Korean BBQ spots in California. We ordered the large Combo C, which was perfect--it had a little bit of everything, so we got to try it all. The food came out quickly, looked super fresh, and was nicely presented. It might be a little more expensive but it felt open (not crowded like some spots), clean, and the food quality was great. I went with two girl friends and we shared an appetizer and the Combo C platter with soup and rice on the side. This was more than enough food for all of us! The seafood pancake was one of the best that I've had, including ones from South Korea! It was really crispy and had a good ratio of fillings. I am not normally a fan of Korean chili flavor, but I also really enjoyed the beef soon tofu soup. It had great flavor and a bit of a kick. Been wanting to try this place out ever since they opened and fortunately, a friend chose this spot for our monthly group dinner. Came in on a Monday night for a party of seven and they were able to accommodate us immediately. After looking over the menu, we decided to order the seafood pancake, beef kimchi fried rice, cold noodle (regular), and the Smoking Tiger Combo set A (large) with an added-on order of the pork jowl. The seafood pancake was surprisingly better than I thought it would be, satisfyingly crispy and not mushy at all. The beef kimchi fried rice and the cold noodles were okay, nothing amazing to rave about. The meat quality overall was quite good for the combo set price, I personally enjoyed that the beef came marinated but not all in the party agreed. However, we agreed that the pork jowl was overpriced for the quantity given. The side dishes were decent, some were better than others but still acceptable enough to enjoy. Unfortunately, the white rice that came with the meal was mushy, which made it off putting. Service was friendly but sadly lacking. We had to flag down different servers multiple times to request more side dishes, drink refills, and a change of grills throughout our meal. The ambiance was quite comfortable, even though the color scheme of the whole place is black. The interior was also surprisingly more spacious than you would assume based on the outside. We kept meaning to try this place as it is near our house, but never made it in. They didn't seem too busy this time so we stopped and got seated right away. Very welcome staff. It's very dark in there there is a walls are black. We got some combo meal for 4 people. It was a lot of food and my kids got a kick out of us, cooking it right in front of them on the table. Everything was very good. My wife got some wine sampler that she absolutely despised, but for some reason it didn't say anything so whatever. For paying this kind of money and having to cook your meal, these kind of places are good like once a year for something different, but I personally prefer the food to be cooked out of the kitchen. This was a lot of fun, went on New Year's Eve with my wife and youngest son. The staff was friendly and offered to demonstrate

$300 + $50 tip. We had a party of 5, we ordered 2x beef selection B. The good news is that, if you eat the meat with the ban chan (side dishes), you will be full, but if you don't, you will leave hungry. You can each as much of the ban chan as possible. Beets, kim chi, cukes, mash potato, broccoli and salad in a bowl. Included sides are corn cheese (eat while hot), egg soufflé and tofu soup. I ate so much ban chan, that I was extremely full. When 1 order of beef came out, you get 2 types that are sliced extremely thin, a beef rib that rolls out when on the grill and small little pieces of beef that amount to 4 little pieces after cooking. My 14 year old nephew ate 1/2 of each beef selection and 1 1/2 bowl of rice, because he was hungry. The second order came with a thinly sliced ribeye steak. All in all, this was a one-time experience, because for the same money, a Chinese dinner or eating at Hondori in Mesa, (wife owns that one) would have been so much better and filling. Chinese dinner would have included a lobster and/or crab, which would result in about 20 dishes @ $20*$15=$300 and we would have had a lot to take home. Again a one-time experience. I think that Rodizio Brazilian Grill would be a better place to go for $50, all you can eat grilled meats and salad bar. Much better deal and the meats taste great. And we had a lot of questions. The waitress answered all of our questions and shared her knowledge of how the items were made and what they were. The ambiance was quiet, which we appreciated. We decided that we definitely wanted to have lunch there. We shared our meal. We ordered the Stone Bibimbap with a side of Corn Cheese. We were first served a salad with several toppers (thinly sliced marinated radishes which was a surprising delight, small broccoli flowerettes, kimchi, a kimchi type small cucumber side and Korean potato salad). We were delighted with our salad and sides. It was delicious and woke up our taste buds in preparation of our main dish. Although we didn't need the Corn Cheese. The Bimbimbap was a wonderfully prepared dish. Our waitress brought it to our table and asked if we wished to have a little heat (spicy) added. We chose to have the heat on the side. She mixed the Bimbimbap with other tasty flavors. It was very tasty for both of us. I enjoyed adding some of that spice. My taste buds enjoyed dancing during this lunch. This is my first time coming to Smoking Tiger and we had to wait a long time to be seated when there were plenty of tables open, could be because they're understaffed. They have a large menu with a lot of different types of meat and interesting combos. They also have a good variety of sides. However the kimchi was a little bitter for me and the cheese corn and omelette were a bit over cooked bordering being burnt. When we got the meat, we were actually a bit underwhelmed. We got their beef combo for 2 and it was a fairly small portion. Smaller than what you would get at most of the other Korean BBQ spots. The quality of meat was okay and there wasn't a whole lot of flavor when it came to the Bulgogi. We also got their premium ribeye and it was honestly more fat than meat and the quality was subpar. The ambiance and service were excellent. Staff was very professional and courteous. Someone was always available when you needed them. The inside of the restaurant was nice looking as well. Just wish the food was better. Maybe it was just an off night and I'm willing to try them again but just was underwhelmed considering the excellent reviews. read more

Once we the beef combo B both times and tried both the beef options and both was good but ordered the galbi over the ribeye steak. The brisket was alright.
