Came to dinner here last night on a whim and so glad we did. The decor inside is so nice and has a lot of Korean elements. The service was friendly and when we asked to sit at a bigger table for two, he kindly obliged. We got the boiled pork slices (bossam) and the Korean army stew. The food tasted great. We also enjoyed makgeolli and it was refreshing. The only complaint would be that for the bossam dish, it's an extra charge for lettuce. The name is literally translated to wrap so it's meant to be wrapped in leaves so I thought it was silly it wasn't included with the meal. It was about ~$100 for the two of us.

Authentic Korean food. The decor reminds me of old school Korea. It was packed on a Saturday evening. The banchan came out and we ate it immediately because they were all so fresh and delicious. Kimchi isn't my favorite but this is one of the best I've had. We got the bossam and they said that the lettuce is an extra $5, which is a bit disappointing given that it should be eaten with lettuce. Bossam was good, could be a little bit less in the dry side. We got the kimchi and pork stew and the kimchi was amazing. The only negative was the pork which was mostly fat and too overcooked. We also got seafood pancake which was the best I've had here in the us. Not too thick and was crispy on the edges. Because they were so packed our waiter was a bit less attentive but we asked another waitress for spoons and she was so nice. After dinner we were chatting outside and the same waitress asked us if we wanted water or to comeback inside - so thoughtful and kind! This is definitely my new spot for Korean food - there's so much more I want to try, including the weekday Lunch, so I'll definitely be back!

The decor is super cute. And the food is just as good. We seated behind a partition that made us feel like the wait staff wasn't being as attentive, but it wasn't a problem. Our food took a little bit long to come out, but we had the ban chan to hold us over, we loved all of it. My favorite item was the kimchi pancake, it was just the right amount of funk and I ate the entire thing despite having my own entrée as well. The tofu soup was good, as was the bibimbap. Nothing was a miss an we didn't have any leftovers!

This restaurant is under different ownership I think(?).. they made this restaurant bigger with different items on the menu..: I ordered the cabbage short rib soup.. It was okay but it was a little bland.. The service was good and the interior design was cute compared to what it was when it was Ban Chan.

First time at Babo Jumak. The tteokbokki was really good: chewy rice cakes in a rich, spicy sauce that kept me coming back for more. Great dish as an appetizer/shared meal. I ordered the spicy pork bibimbap and it did not disappoint -- super flavorful with just the right amount of heat. The pork was tender and everything mixed together perfectly. Very large portion as well! Great service and nicely decorated. Definitely coming back to try more dishes!

Decided to try this spot now that it had been taken over. They redecorated it really nicely inside. I think it looks quite inviting. The service is a little slow when it's really busy but they're super friendly. The beef bone soup (seolleongtang) was my favorite and I'll definitely be going back for that. They ran out of the beef tartare so we'll have to try that next time. The acorn jelly salad was an interesting texture but a refreshing addition to what we ordered. The Korean fried chicken bites were crispy and well seasoned. We also got the boiled pork slices (suyuk) which were really delicious. I wish it automatically came with lettuce as wraps but you'll have to ask for that separately. Overall, good experience and food.

Wow, this was my first time coming here and the food was amazing! The service was quick and efficient, and our server was incredibly attentive to everything we needed she kept coming back to refill our banchan sides. I ordered the lunch special of the day, which included a soybean cabbage soup with bulgogi and rice for $17.99. The lunch special is dependent on what the chef makes that day. The bulgolgi was so juicy and tender. My boyfriend got the bulgogi hot stone pot for $15.99. Both dishes were so, so good. I also loved the unlimited banchan sides. The interior of the restaurant was super cute and spacious - modern with a touch of historic Korean aesthetic. The menu had a wide variety of dishes, so I'll definitely be back!

Back on this side of town! Gotta to go back and still amazing. Spicy pork bulgogi is so so good. The bibimbap is perfect. Definitely come by if you're near here.

I've been dying to try Babo Jumak since learning it replaced or renovated from Banchan! The interior is so cozy and spacious, and service was also attentive. The menu is quite varied, which was nice. We ordered several items, and the portions were a good size--definitely a great place to eat family style to try a bit of everything. Overall, the food was tasty and left a good impression. While I don't see myself craving any one of their particular dishes on a random Thursday, it's earned a place in our food outings rotation if I'm craving Korean food in general. Will definitely be back to try more dishes!

The food was absolutely delicious! The spicy beef bibimbap was not a common dish in Korean restaurants in the valley, and this is definitely worth trying! The beef was ice cold, which went so well with the veggies! The raw egg made the dish more creamy, making it so balanced. The spicy beef soup was one of my favorite too. They put a lot of mushrooms in the soup, and you don't usually get this flavor anywhere else. Love their banchan as well - super fresh and light! With all the decorations , this restaurant really makes you feel like visiting a restaurant in Korea. If you want a real Korean dinning experience, highly recommend!

Great renovations! The space is much cleaner and very spacious! The staff were very kind. We came during weekday lunch and it was empty. Banchan was generally tasty but too salty/flavorful except radish kimchi was too sweet. Got the ox bone soup which was rich but bummer that the meat was overcooked and very tough/dry. Clear noodles were very appetizing. Affordable pricing, better during weekday lunch hours!

We went on Saturday night, and the place was pretty busy. I come here often, and the food is usually fresh and delicious. However, this time it was a bit salty, and I mentioned it to the staff. Hopefully, they can adjust the seasoning in the future. We'll be back to give it another try.

I was so excited to try Babo Jumak, new Banchan. Their really remodeled the interior and it was so cool- old style Korean pub/diner feel and they added variety of Korean pancakes! We got to try Ssam bap (bulgogi or pork bulbogi with vegetables and a small soy bean stew). Side dishes were good, but when main came, we were quite disappointed. The portion got smaller than before, and bulgogi was lukewarm and also pretty salty. We might try again with other dishes, but ssam bap was pretty disappointing...

You won't wait long to be welcomed, for your food, for a refill or for your receipt at the end of your dining experience. We started with their honey hot wings. Our party of three decided to split one of the numerous salads they offer & went with the steak & walnut salad. It includes grilled steak slices, blue cheese crumbles & crispy onion rings ( made in house) . The dressing was a light vinaigrette that made this a delicious & delightful thing to share amongst us all. For dinner we went with one of their "create your own" pizzas. Our favorite toppings are: pepperoni, garlic & basil. This was a great presentation & pie! From service to staff, to cooks in the kitchen we had a great dining experience! Everything was legit. We will be back to try a burger next time. This is a really cool place with a wide selection of outstanding food & bar beverage options. Highly recommend it.

It was impossible for them to not know that the bread was stale and hard. The order was at 10:15 AM so it was not a situation where it sat out long enough in the day to get hard. This had to be yesterdays stale bread. I have to ask who does this? Do they think the customer is going to find this acceptable? Paper on the cheese and stale bread on a 20.00 sandwich. There are so many breweries and pubs around here that there's pretty tough competition. As other reviewers have stated, their duck fat fries are great! So crispy and the herbs really elevate it. They can be a little heavy handed with the salt to the point where you may see salt piles on your fries, but at least the salt granules are larger and can be easily swept off. Although their fries are great on their own, they unfortunately struggle to strand up when loaded. I'm not sure how they do it, but we've been to places where fries can remain crispy even when loaded with toppings. Their poutine is still tasty though if you don't mind your fries soggy. Their burgers have great beefy flavor, but after trying a few of their burger options, my partner and I also feel that some other places do their unique burger stylings a bit better. A lot of the toppings overwhelm rather than contribute to the overall burger. There's plenty of searing both indoors and out. You have bar top, high table, and regular table style seating for indoors. There's plenty of 4 person tables outdoors under shade and also with misters on if it's hot out. Indoor seating offers plenty of viewing for sports. Service is also pleasant. Due to how they source their ingredients, the overall menu is on the pricier side. Although my partner and I prefer other breweries more, we do think it's still worth it to try visiting Arizona Wilderness Brewing at least once.
