New favorite. The food is stellar, from the unlimited appetizer/sides (kimchis, noodles, veggies, potato salad) to the soups, sides, sauces and meats. The menu is not all you can eat. That said, my partner and I got the XL Beef Combo 1 and ended up having to take home a third of it. Meat quality is great, and portions are good. They have the best cucumber kimchi I've ever had, and fantastic kimchi soup that's not too spicy. The beef belly and bulgogi were our favorite meats. Many of their options like the green salad, bulgogi, marinated ribs, and vegetables were not nearly as sweet as I often find them in other KBBQ joints, which was a great change. The service is great. I didn't feel waited on, I felt like I was just generally seen. There's a doorbell if you need something quickly. Otherwise all staff were super friendly and anticipated our needs with grill changes which was nice. The atmosphere is great. It's small and casual but very comfortable and upscale at the same time. It feels very relaxed while maintaining a high standard. The music is great (for us), all kinds of EDM at a good volume. And no TVs, which is actually nice - it let us focus on the vibes, the food, and each other. Many other parties were laughing and having a good time. We spent about 130 between the two of us, having ordered an XL combo and an extra side (chicken buldak - I couldn't eat the noodles but the chicken was bomb). It was a great way to spend a Friday night. We plan to make this a regular spot in our rotation - we still have a lot of sides and meats to try. Well done, please keep it up. Banchan sides have changed slightly and they no longer offer the additional sides (corn cheese, green onion salad, grilled kimchi) as part of the main menu. The new menu offers an array of different side dishes and meats that weren't there before! Coming from someone who is often indecisive, I LOVE that there are new combo options that help guide you through the various cuts of meat. The new small side dishes (banchan) that come with your meal when ordering is so delicious as well! I love how the staff is never shy with refills when asking for more!! I was a little worried about the price when I first sat down. Then they started bringing out all the appetizer dishes. There were so many. I went with a few coworkers and had a great time! We had their "Jin Combo B" and it was plenty for the three of us to split and take home some leftovers. The meats were all qute good, and their setup included refills on all the sides. The setup they have with the trays of kimchi egg and cheese corn in particular was a clever, albeit time-limited feature. Best Korean BBQ in the entire state. I come here almost every other month because the meat quality is incredible and the sides are both delicious and unlimited. It's the classic style where you cook your own meat and pair it with all the sides for extra flavor. One of my absolute favorites is the marinated short rib. It's so tender and flavorful, especially with some radish and kimchi. I never liked kimchi much until I tried it here. Turns out I just wasn't eating good kimchi before, because theirs is easily some of the best I've ever had. Service is quick and efficient, and each table has a call button so your server comes right away whenever you need something. Found Jin while visiting Mesa and they rocked. I'm a huge fan of Korean food, I've visited Seoul and Busan, but my husband fell in love while eating at Jin. He is wishing we had a "Jin" in our hometown in California. All the flavors were amazing and every side dish was delicious. We had ribeye to BBQ, spicy cold noodles, and kimchi fried rice. The servings were large and we had leftovers to enjoy for lunch the next day. The staff was attentive, service was quick, and they kept our side dishes full. Excellent experience, hands down 10/10 dining treat! Loved the vibe and they played all the fav KPop tunes! Fantastic ambiance with the wood and metal esthetic and concrete floors. When I hear Jin BBQ I'm like hm Jin? Okay probably just another KBBQ spot right? WRONG. I was actually so wrong ‍ This was not just dinner. This was an EXPERIENCE. The environment made me love this place more cuz the decorations and the music playing and the atmosphere was . Brandon was our server and I genuinely think he made the whole night. He was so attentive like refilling our water before we even noticed, cracking jokes, bringing extra sides with no hesitation when asked. Customer service like that AND with a SMILE?! so so so attentive I love it. You can tell when someone actually cares and he did. You can tell he enjoys what he does. He really made us feel so comfortable. It was really nice especially since the first time we had came a few years ago we didn't have the best experience so when we came this time around we were extremely satisfied. We ordered the beef intestines and the premium beef tongue and shared between three people. Tell me why we were absolutely stuffed but STILL ordered spicy cold noodles . And somehow??? We finished EVERYTHING. The sides. The sauces. The meat. Every last bite. No shame. I had told our server, Brandon, we were celebrating my sister's birthday. We had ordered some soju and he told us he had a surprise and just asked what flavor soju we wanted. Next thing I know this man is coming out singing happy birthday with a candle literally blasting sparks from the side. I KID YOU NOT. We were screaming and clapping. Never seen anything like this. Would I come back? Yes. Would I recommend? 100000% yes. Did this change my opinion about Jin? COMPLETELY. Because why was it THAT good??? Yum!!! So I'm not an expert, I have never had Korean BBQ outside of Arizona. But this spot was much better than the other places we've been. I love the prix fix vs. the all you can eat model. Great cuts of meat. We had 4 adults and chose two of the prix fix options that said they serve 2-3, we had more than enough food! Couldve gotten away with one order, but two of our guests were not big eaters. It also came with two Kimchi soups. The "moat" (I don't know the correct term) for steamed egg, roasted kimchi with seaweed, and cheesy corn around the grill was new to me and so tasty!! Our little one loved the steamed egg, we couldn't cook it fast enough. Service was very friendly and fast. Be warned if you have someone with back issues etc, they have the traditional drum stools. The banchan is excellent and the meat cuts are great! The place is not super big but I believe they take reservations if you have a big group. My new go to kbbq place. read more

Set menu but food outstanding, don't go elsewhere where the food is unlimited but not as tasty. Despite set menu we still had leftovers and the price was very manageable for what we were getting. Otherwise the setting same as any other Korean BBQ. We loved the side garnishes, kimchee bbq, boiled egg, soup, fresh kimchee, and other std side dishes and a green salad. We went in 2-3 weeks ago and it is now under new ownership. So the raving reviews here is from the old ownership. The food was still good but not quite the same as it was before. For instance, I loved the radish sheets that they use to have but don't have anymore. The green onion salad was also good but no more. We didn't get a starter salad like before although I saw some tables had them. They used to have an outer circular area around the grill and they would put grilled kimchi, corn cheese and egg in that but those are gone too. We order the same thing every time and the portion seems smaller. Like typically I order the combo bulgogi, spicy pork and chicken (they don't have chicken anymore either ). Typically there is enough to take home and even though they give you more beef and pork...we were a tad hungry still after our meal. I don't know...I loved those little things that set them apart from other Korean bbq restaurants so it was surprising that they are gone . I've been to this location many times, and overall, the food is consistently above average. However, during my most recent visit, I was surprised when I was charged an additional $4.99 for a second serving of lettuce--even after spending well over $150 on our meal. When ordering bulgogi, it's traditional to enjoy it with lettuce wraps, yet the small portion initially provided is nowhere near enough compared to the amount of meat. Charging extra for something so essential to the dish feels like nickel-and-diming customers and cheapens the overall dining experience. A better approach would be to either serve an appropriate portion of lettuce with the bulgogi or build the extra cost into the dish itself. That way, it respects both the customer and Korean tradition without leaving diners feeling shortchanged over something as simple as lettuce. read more

Our first time here! We went the day after Valentine's. Not too busy , they have a Yelp Kiosk to check in. I signed in to them be seated right away. They have round and rectangular tables that can meet good size parties. We ordered Jin A. Which was a good deal, lots of sides plus great assortment of meat. The service here was spectacular! The best service we've ever experienced at a KBBQ restaurant. Every few minutes were checked on by a different staff member. We really appreciated that, it was like 7 or 8 of them that checked on us the entire visit. They even have Push for service button at each table which we didn't have to use once. Super nice. Food was yummy! We didn't like the pork belly.. not sure why, it's usually one of our faves but we instead loved the other meats more. So next time we don't get pork.. We will be back. First review of the new year! We had a lovely NYE dinner here. There was no Jinn around that I know of luckily and I did not spy any gin n juice, just soju at Jin. I made a reservation for a large group the day before and was advised to give them a call 20 minutes before arriving so they could set the tables up. Note that if you are going as a larger group the largest tables can squeeze in 6 adults and 1 kid with a minimal amount of elbow and leg space, otherwise you would have to separate into two smaller tables. We had the Jin Combo 1 and a jap chae. With 2 people that didn't have big appetites that was enough food for us to leave pleasantly full. All the meats were really delicious with large portions and high quality. As for sides, I enjoyed the corn cheese and the fluffy egg that was cooked on the side along with the meats. There were some rice cakes as well as your standard banchan fare of fish cake, kimchi, etc. The japchae was a generous portion with long sweet potato noodles that had just the right amount of seasoning. It came with vegetables and some slices of beef. Service was friendly and we were checked up on as needed. I had only been to one other Korean bbq before and the whole time I was scared to order too much since they make you pay for what you don't eat, so it was super nice coming here to JIN bbq where you pay for your meat combo ahead of time and get to enjoy it at your own pace and don't have to worry about getting full and having to pay for leaving food. The bright side to paying for the amount of meat your getting is, you get to take him the cooked meat once you leave if you have left overs. The service here was 10/10 our waitress & waiter checked in on us all the time, made sure we didn't need more sides and were just really friendly.
