    5/2026- Bulgogi and Pork Belly

Go shawty, it's your birthday, we goin party like it your birthday.....was the theme birthday song every time it was someone's birthday lol. In Da Club! I did come here for a friend's birthday and we ate to our hearts content. We did the all you can eat normal dinner price for $28.95 per person. Other options were Brave for $40.95 (which includes all plus prime Ny strip, short ribs, rib eye and prime short rib). You can start with up to 6 meats and some sides. We constantly chose galbi, bulgolgi and pork belly. We also ordered radish paper, rice paper and lettuce. And also ordered a salad. Ice cream is also included in the price but they only had vanilla and strawberry in a separate freezer. Nothing special for the ice creams. Parties of 5 or more automatically get charged the 20% gratuity. Overall service was fast and attentive. Be prepared to smell like Korean bbq after you're done eating.

I came here with my friend for his birthday. It was cool because they gave him a cheesecake for his birthday gift and played music for him. The staff were very friendly and the food was good :) it was a great place to have conversations!

Great bang for your buck AYCE KBBQ spot in Tempe. Compared to other locations in Phoenix brave has the best sides. I love to get the corn cheese and steamed egg when I'm here. We love coming for happy hour and lunch because it's so rare to find an affordable and good ayce kbbq place these days. You can definitely find better meat quality at other spots but for the price you pay here I'd say it's pretty solid.

Great service, the happy hour menu is huge and the food is very very good for the price. I love that there is so many options and our server was so nice. She was so willing to wait for our party of 13 and was very effective in explaining how Brave worked to such a big party.

A great AYCE KBBQ place! They have different menu options ranging from $18.95 (lunch M-F) - $40.95. One of the main reasons why I love Brave is because they have rice paper! I love eating my KBBQ with rice paper, and so many AYCE KBBQ spots never have rice paper. They also have lots of different appetizer/sides to choose from in addition to the extensive meat options. They have soda, sake, and soju available for an additional charge, and all menu options include ice cream. I've been here twice and I've had no complaints. Service and food was great. Highly recommend

This place was nice! We had a group of 5, and mandatory 20% gratuity was added for groups of 5+. While the place and the food were good, that mandatory gratuity was the bummer. I felt like our waitress was never around enough. We waited 15+ minutes for a tray replacement, I had to flag down another waitress, where she had a look of displeasure on her face. Not sure where our waitress kept going, but this place wasn't busy at all. The only thing that makes up for it is the food and the cost. The brisket was nice and thick! They advertised "good day" soju, but carried every other brand except "good day". Glad we tried this place at least

These are the trays that came with our meals. We were not told what was on them.

I had never been to a Korean Barbecue restaurant before. We were seated in a booth and asked for actual menus rather than using our phones to get a digital menu. I don't recall any background music. A little bit of music is appreciated to help set the mood. We asked how things worked and were told about their 3 price levels. I had never been there before so I was confused about how that worked. The person I was with said to get the regular, and then ordered a bunch of food. I agreed with those choices and they were brought out. We had to cook everything ourselves, and there was a lack of sauces and spices to cook with. I realized later that there was even a time limit on how long we could stay (90 minutes). On top of that, the gas burner we had to cook with was not turned up very much, and it took a while to cook things. I wish they had told me more about how the process worked from the beginning. If I hadn't been with someone who had eaten there before, I would have been very lost regarding what to order and how to order it. I also wish the gas burner had a manual adjustment we could use to cook things faster or slower. I feel like we wasted a lot of time waiting for the food to cook as slowly as it did. Also, for some reason, they provided scissors but not knives to cut the food with. It felt very awkward cutting steak and chicken with scissors rather than a knife. The meat and vegetable quality appeared to be good. However, there was a seaweed-like taste to a lot of the food, even non-seafood items. Overall, this place seemed kind of expensive when you consider that we had to do all the cooking ourselves, with little to no instructions on how to do so from the staff. I probably will not be back.

Visited for the first time on a Saturday afternoon, excited for AYCE KBBQ to start my day! Between the regular ($28.95) and brave ($40.95) menus available, we chose the regular. The only difference is that the regular doesn't include B1. prime new york steak, B2. short ribs, B3. ribeye steak, B4. prime short rib (limited 1/person). We forgot to ask about the difference between ALL of the menus, but Christine D.'s 5/22/25 review seems to have screenshots that delineate it all very well. The 2 of us girls ordered 2 rounds of R5. LA galbi, L10. bulgogi, and L11. beef belly and were stuffed! Absolutely no complaints about the meat's portions, marinade, or quality especially relative to the price. We also ordered fish cakes, japchae, and steamed egg, which also tasted pretty standard (in a good way). Overall, I enjoyed my AYCE experience here, especially at such affordable prices! Definitely a solid choice for kbbq for anyone craving, and I will definitely be back!!!!!

Honestly the best KBBQ in Arizona! Walked in on a Sunday for lunch and I was so happy there was no wait time. We got sat immediately and served immediately as well. Loved the quick service and attention to our table even tho they got super busy as soon as we got sat. Now the reason I say this is the best KBBQ in Arizona is due to the quality of meat that I've tasted. Everything was divine. Not a single bad cut of meat and we tried a lot of them. Of course all the meats in marinades are the best but even the unseasoned meats, are just so good they don't need seasoning. I asked for extra kimchi and pickled radishes on the side and they brought me a full bowl. I love my meat with a little side of pickled anything and this kimchi really hit the spot. Pricey but worth it! Definitely recommend.

Came here for Thanksgiving dinner with family who came into town to visit! Orders of meat were decently portioned, the appetizers are also AYCE - but are smaller portions for you to try more. Our favorite appetizers were corn cheese, gyoza, and jap chae. Almost every major KBBQ place no longer gives rice paper as an option as a side, but Brave had rice paper, radish paper, AND lettuce wraps! We ordered at least 5-6 rounds of the shaved pork belly, brisket, and beef belly. Also had some thick pork belly, galbi and beef tongue. Quality of the meat was surprisingly high! The other surprise was that there was AYCE ice cream - both hard ice cream and soft serve. I also was so happy that they had fans over each grill - so you don't smell like meat and smoke too much! Will definitely be coming back soon :)

My honey and I love KBBQ!! Been going there since it opened, have been loyal fans!Ambiance is modern and clean. For AYCE in PHX area, you cannot beat the meat quality, variety and price at Brave! It comes with many options of appetizers and banchan: Korean Fry Chicken aka KFC, tofu soup etc. I also love the beef tongue and intestine there, not many AYCE KBBQ offer that. Service can be a little slow during daytime but all the servers are sweet and helpful!

I stopped by Caldwell County BBQ for dinner on a Saturday evening. Located in Gilbert, I found…read morestreet parking right in front of the restaurant despite it being quite busy. I'll preface this review by saying I have very high standards when it comes to BBQ. I am from Houston after all. Caldwell County BBQ very much lived up to the hype. It's no surprise their reviews are so good. Ambiance (5/5): Caldwell County BBQ serves Texas-style BBQ. I felt right at home. There's a lot of Texan decor and the sort of ambiance you would expect at a BBQ joint. It's a spacious restaurant with plenty of seating outside and a decent amount of seating inside. We sat inside. One of the things they do well is keeping the A/C blasting both indoors and outdoors (while you're likely going to wait in line) along with misters. Definitely something you need in Phoenix! Service (4/5): I hate waiting in line. Though it's not unusual at popular BBQ spots, I still wish places like this would hire a couple of more people to make the line move faster (or even completely eliminate the lines). We probably waited in line for about 20 minutes. They have a water cooler along the route, but it was all out. Something the staff should check on a little more frequently. With all this being said, Caldwell County is well worth the wait. Drinks (5/5): Whenever I'm at a BBQ joint, I'm looking for sweet tea. Which they have here. Plus your standard assortment of soft drinks and alcohol, with a focus on beer. Food (5/5): BBQ joints typically have you pay by weight or by plates (one meat, two meats, three meats, etc.). Caldwell does it by the pound unless you go with a sandwich, loaded baked potato, etc. What's nice is they also have a family pack for 4 which comes with brisket, pulled pork, and your choice of ribs, sausage, or one other protein which is escaping me. Plus two large pint-size sides. We rolled with this option as it's a good deal (brisket, pulled pork, and St. Louis style ribs with corn casserole and mac and cheese). White bread, pickles, onions, and jalapenos are available free of charge. There are three BBQ sauces at each table: their classic BBQ, spicy, and AZ gold). We also added a quarter pound of the AZ burnt ends. Man, these are some quality meats. Brisket is the true test of Texas BBQ and the shining star. The brisket here isn't the best I've ever had but it's quite respectable. The sweet and spicy AZ burnt ends were delicious too. The ribs were tender and had a nice sweet glaze on them. The pulled pork was my least favorite, but still quite good. The sides are solid, though they could be a bit better. The mac and cheese was too peppery for my taste and the corn casserole was too sweet. Like pretty much all craft BBQ these days, Caldwell County BBQ isn't cheap. But the quality is there. This is the type of place that I would come back to again and again. They also have a location in Peoria though this one is the original. And I hear they don't run out of meats as other BBQ joints do (especially in Texas). That's a big plus! It's always a bummer when a BBQ joint is out of something you want. If you haven't been to Caldwell County BBQ, change that quick. Yeehaw!

Parking 5/5 We arrived at 6 pm and took one of the last spots in the back. Service 10/5 Celebration arrangements were done by my neighbors amazing daughter who ordered the Full Monte sampler which included generous portions of protein, all the sides and drinks. Seating 15/5 Anyone familiar with Caldwells business model knows this is a wait inline to order, move over to the cashier then search for seatings which can be challenging at best during peak lunch & dinner hours. In our case the Caldwell's manager Torrin personally re-arranged tables so our group could be seated together and included one table for all the food and gifts. Food 10/5 This rating recognizes Caldwell's BBQ is wildly popular. Pushing it higher for this experience was how the food was delivered to the party. Once our party of 30 were seated together, four + large variety platters of protein, sides and fountain beverages were placed on a serving table family style. Atmosphere 5/5 The back patio was our celebration location and it was filling up quickly and we gathered for the celebration. During the course of our visit we enjoyed the transition from daylight to evening where the atmosphere of the back patio began to soften with a wonderful span of string patio lighting for outdoor ambiance. This quickly became an extremely fun place to move table to table visiting with everyone. As always, we love the BBQ here...we typically get the moist brisket, the smoked potatoes, the three bean salad...today I also added a couple of corns and their cole slaw. Here's where the customer service outshined previous visits...when I got there and started to order our to-go dinner, I was told the potatoes were gone and they were making more but it would be about 20-30 minutes before they were ready. I was told that someone previously had come in an purchased 30 potatoes, which I will always say...if you are going to order something that large from a restaurant, please be considerate and pre-order so they are prepared. You walking in and ordering that big of an order put the people behind you without some of their choices. No worries today...it's Mom's Day and I wasn't going to sway from getting BBQ for our dinner. I had some other things to do so left the store to take care of other business. Once back home (we live fairly close to the store), I called to ask if the potatoes were ready and after being placed on a brief hold, was told they had some ready but they were flying out the door! The young lady asked me if I wanted to place an order over the phone and decided to do that just so I could be sure we had their most wonderful smoked potatoes. I drove down to pick up our order and was met with some of the best staff, who laughed with me about the situation. They agreed about people calling beforehand when wanting that much food, apparently they also got about 30 lbs of meat as well. It's all good and we will be back when we need our Rudy's fix!

Going back for a refill I found 2/3 lemonade and 1/3 prickly pear made my perfect BBQ beverage.
